Letting Him Go

Kenny

Once upon a time a girl and a boy were lucky enough to find each other. Some called it young love, but we called it true love. Soulmates. Regardless what you call it, we loved one another with everything we had.

Then one day life landed a heartbreaking blow. I was left, young and alone, to find my way while raising our precious daughter.

Hunter

I thought I had everything I wanted. I fought to get away from the life I was raised in. I moved away from the farm and into the big city, busting my ass to climb the corporate ladder.

Then one day everything I have worked for gets ripped out from under me, landing me right back where I started. I'm left to begin again, struggling to find my place in life.

Eva Jones

Eva Jones' love for the written word started in her early teens when she'd sneak off with her mother's historical romance novels and blossomed from there.

Although she's always dreamed of moving south and starting a horse farm, Eva is an Ohio native who isn't ashamed of her undying love of 90s R&B and going under the tattoo needle excites her.

Her passion for reading led her into this wonderful indie community and landed her the role of personal assistant to one of her favorite indie authors.

When she's not running around after her three little gizmos and one big gremlin, you can find her crafting stories of flawed characters finding love amongst the chaos of life.

Letting Him Go is an emotionally driven story of moving on from the past and learning to trust again. It will wrap you up in the complexity of human emotion and make your heart sing, to see two people who need each other so desperately bravely take the risk to love again. A must read.

Such a sweet small town romance with a beautiful storyline.

Kennedy is a strong, fiercely independent single mother of 10 year old Grace. Her life up until this point has been focused on Grace, her job and her friends. One of my favourite parts about this book is her friendship with Maggie, she’s one of the best support characters I’ve come across.

Hunter Reynolds is a lawyer from New York City. Tired of his fast paced life and vindictive ex-girlfriend Cara he leaves the city and moves to a small town in Ohio to start afresh.

From the moment Kennedy and Hunter lock eyes they have an instant attraction and chemistry.

Eva Jones gave me all the feels throughout this book and took me on a roller coaster of emotions. There were ups and downs along the way for Kennedy and Hunter and they both had to work hard for their HEA.

Overall, I found it to be a sweet, easy read with a little mystery and a couple of very hot steamy scenes throughout.

Eva Jones sure can write and I can’t wait to read Maggie and Pete’s story.

Sweet is the first thing that comes to mind when I try to think of the best words to describe this book. Letting Him Go is filled with sweetness throughout even the most emotional moments. Kennedy and Hunter have that instant spark the moment their eyes meet. That kind of connection where words aren’t needed to have the world stop when they look into each other’s eyes. The swoon is definitely strong with these two.
Kennedy and Hunter are people with loving hearts. Even when they’ve both gone through or are going through truly awful things neither of them lets it turn them into someone bitter. As life throws curve balls and their new found connection is tested on so many different levels these two end up having to really work for that HEA. While I throughly enjoyed their story I do have to say at times Kennedy’s reluctance made it feel like the story dragged. I truly understand the emotional trauma she’d been through as a widow but it just slowed things down to a snails pace at certain points.

It's not often an author can merge sweetness, humor and angst where none feel like they overwhelm the other. Eva Jones brings real feels out with the plot of a single mother looking for something she never thought she would find. It brings a human element straight away when the reader sympathizes so heavily with the main character.

Dialogue leave the tension building nicely, though the HEA doesn't come easily. This though, makes it all the worthwhile.

Overall, it's sweet more than sexy, but man when Jones wants to inject sexy times into it, she leaves just enough to make you want more.

Stunning debut.

Letting Him Go by Eva Jones was... beautiful!

A wholesome love story that also had heat and passion. And Eva Jones made sure you felt it all. Not to mention she had me sobbing for certain parts that I will not give away. My poor, poor heart

The storyline was sweet and sexy and the characters fit perfectly in it. I enjoyed seeing the story unfold in my head, as well as the fun and witty banter between Kennedy and her daughter and also her girlfriends. The chemistry and care felt between Kennedy and Hunter was strong and I loved feeling their passion for each other.

Overall, this story had a little bit of everything and had the feel of a really good Lifetime movie or like a chocolate lava cake - it left you feeling all warm and gooey on the inside.

I highly recommend this story and look forward to more from Eva Jones.

Kenny loved Travis so much, and just knew that they were soulmates. Unfortunately, one moment in time took him away, leaving her by herself to raise their daughter. For 10 years, Kenny has done everything for her daughter, with no personal life, and even her tiny human, Grace, wants her to find love. Hunter was at the top of his game as an attorney in NY, until he breaks up with his longtime girlfriend, and she does everything in her power to make him pay. So he leaves everything behind to start over again in a small community, when he meets Kenny, and from the moment he sees her, he knows that he wants to make her his. However, her walls are very high, so he has to work to knock them down. Letting Him Go was a very sweet story with a big side of angst that I couldn't get enough of. Poor Kenny, her life didn't turn out like she thought it would, but boy did fate give her a second chance for something great. However, she really tried to do us all in with her frustrating push & pull, until I was screaming at her (like she could hear me through my kindle) to give Hunter a chance. Then, just when she was doing that, and their sexy times were lighting the sheets on fire, BAM! Big twists came out to throat punch me, so the f-bombs started dropping. And they just kept going, which is what made them so jarring to be honest. Thankfully, everyone had a great cast of secondaries who made up their friends, as they were the voice of reason, and comedic relief at times. So yeah, loved this story, and CANNOT WAIT for Maggie's story next! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

A beautifully written story about loss and finding the happiness that your heart desires, even if your mind tries to block any chance of that, remembering the life that use to be and the pain that it brought you. But that happiness refuses to let you go and eventually you let it in a little at a time until you know you can't win and relent, opening yourself up to someone that brings you peace, love and happiness, more than you ever imagined possible, for a second time.

The characters in this story are so very well written and will latch on to your heart with a vengeance. Kenny and Hunter are two people who have had two different types of loss. Both looking for the happiness that their lives desire. Kenny, a single mother and advocate for victims, giving them a voice in court is beautiful, strong and loves her daughter more than anything in this world. Hunter, handsome and coming to this small town to start his life over after breaking up with his gold-digging girlfriend and leaving his successful career as an attorney, opens a horse ranch and begins a new life. Now, the question is, will his new life also include the one woman who has imprinted on his mind and captured his heart?

A wonderful story that will leave you with a smile one your face and "aaawwwww" leaving your mouth. I highly recommend this beautiful book!

Letting Him Go by Eva Jones is a beautiful contemporary romance novel, written in a dual POV and tells Kennedy and Hunter's heart wrenching story.
Kennedy is a single mom who's through a lot. Her walls are high up and her first and foremost concern is her daughter. She works as lawyer and her life is a good one.
Hunter Reynolds is a attorney in NYC and he's tired. Tired of his psychotic girlfriend, tired of his high energy job and tired of his fast paced life. He packs up and moves to a small town somewhere in Ohio and starts new. He enjoys his new life. And then he runs into Kenny and it's flash boom bang. He's a goner. But Kenny is very reluctant to call it mildly. Only they could be so great together. Both are good people, a bit battered from life but not broken and I wished for them to come together and have a well deserved HEA.

Letting Him Go is a beautifully thought out, beautifully written and beautifully told story. I loved the characters and the pace of the story. Letting Him Go is an emotional read that had me in tears at some point. I recommend the book and can't wait to read Pete and Maggie's story. 4,75 stars.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. This is my first book this author and will not be my last and I can’t wait for what’s to come. Such an amazingly heartfelt story of love and loss and picking yourself up and moving on. Their story has all the feels, you could want in a book. Kenny is an amazing mother, loves her friends and focused on her job and life. Hunter, well he’s had it with his fast-paced life and crazy ex-girlfriend that he packs up everything and moves to a small town in Ohio to leave it all behind. When these two meet its explosive to say the least, the vibe between them is crazy hot, but with everything that’s happened in the past Kenny has her guard up and is leery of letting anyone in. Can these two ignore their connection or will it be so strong neither wants to walk away? Loved this book and I can’t wait for Maggie and Pete’s story next. I highly recommend this book.

I liked that Hunter was open and forthcoming with Kennedy about his past with Cara. I would have liked Ken to be more open about Travis sooner. Ken acted like a tease. She was okay with her needs being met by Hunter, but she couldn't return the favor- not cool at all! Then, she calls him for a booty call when she has a bad day in court-?user? Cara's evil was far reaching and she wad tenacious sbout it. Why was Ken so ready to believe the worst about Hunter and then ghost him? Immature idiot much? The lack of communication was appalling! Hunter wanted to explain and wrote a letter, but Ken wouldn't read it or listen! WTH! Laura and Maggie seemed a bit desperate with their need for a man- quite unattractive! Ken's text to Hunter ( breakup and apology of sorts) fir her stupidity was ludicrous and pathetic! She acted like a martyr. I think too little too late, but the author had other plans! Oh well! Between Cara and her dad and Ken I was furious! The epilogue made this a 4 star instead of a 3 star I would have given it. Lots if happy and sad tears.

Hunter and Kenny are a sweet couple and this story provided a variety of emotional elements. I laughed, I cried, I bit my nails in anticipation, and ummm I experienced some fan myself moments.

Kenny broke my heart. She really had been dealt a tough hand but she got a beautiful daughter out of the deal. The feelings of loss was definitely prevalent in this story. (Oh side note: I am loving that a couple of recent reads have been giving the female lead some masculine names.)

Hunter seemed nice and sincere but I wasn’t sure about him. I knew his previous girlfriend was going to be an issue and I was right.

I felt this story deserved a solid 3.5 stars. My only critique would be that it didn’t always flow as well as l would have liked.

I definitely plan to read future books from this author. Happy Reading Everyone!

What did I first love about this book? Well, that would be the cover! This book was beautifully written and flowed perfectly. It reminds me of Lifetime and Hallmark movies, which I love. Eva Jones had my attention from page one all the way until the end. The story was written in dual POV so you see everything through Kennedy and Hunters eyes.

The characters were perfect together, I could feel the chemistry as soon as they met. My heart felt for Kennedy with all that she had been through in her life and I fell in love with Hunter with his loving, caring personality. Kennedy had her heart broken in half and was afraid to pick up the pieces and move on and Hunter wanted to pick those pieces up.

This is my first read by this author and I am looking forward to reading Maggie and Pete’s story.

Letting Him Go by Eva Jones was an emotional story that was both heartbreaking at times and sweet at others. Kennedy, Kenny, thought her life was perfect. Then one day everything changed. She was left heartbroken and raising her daughter alone. Her life has not been an easy one and yet she is strong and determined.

Hunter was in need of a change after a fast track life and a crazy ex. He ends up in a small town in Ohio when he first lays eyes on Kenny. I loved Hunter; he was ready for a second chance. But could Kenny let someone else into her heart and life? She was an amazing mother but letting go did not come easy to her.

Letting Him Go by Eva Jones had great characters, with hard backgrounds and a great connection. They needed to learn to trust and let go and their story will captivate you!

Redemption. Wall breaking. Second chance.

This story tore at every heart string I have. This a story of second chances and trying to tear down walls that have been built. The characters are heart broken, hesitant, and very real. Kennedy, Hunter, and Grace will steal your heart as you travel through their journey of rebuilding and finding the love you never knew you could have.

The author writes an amazing story that will stay with you long after you have read the last page.

You need this book. It will bring to light all the many bumps of life and how overcoming your past and letting go of it will create a life you never dreamed of.

She sucks you into the story and I promise, you will finish in one sitting.

Beautiful!

I absolutely LOVED this book! Hunter and Kenny have this insta attraction when they bump into each other for the first time.

Hunter thought he had it all until one day he realized he was in a relationship that was going now where good. Now moving to a new town trying to start fresh he meets a woman who just blows him away.

Kenny has lived a simple life of working and raising her daughter. Living the past 10yrs with sadness in her heart she has remained single and guarded until Hunter.

This book will give you all the feels and have you hooked. Little Grace is a peach wanting her mama to find love and have a HEA, so sweet. I can’t wait for Maggie’s story!

This book has a bit of everything in it and will leave you satisfied, yet wanting more as you connect with the characters and town soo much. Both Hunter and Kenny have pasts they don't wish to discuss, but attraction they can not deny however they need to trust each other and trust is something hard earned and easily lost. While there are highs and lows and times of utter frustration there is one constant ray of sunshine and that is Grace, that girl will bring a smile to your face any day of the week!

This is the first book I have read from Eva. She has gained a fan with this book. I loved it . Amazing storyline with amazing strong characters who have some great chemistry. It has been Kennedy and her daughter for 10 years. She went through something very tragic and built a wall around her heart. That is until she meets Hunter. But between the wall, her fears and his evil ex will they have a future? Gripping well written enjoyable. I loved Kennedy and Hunter together. Can't wait to read the next one.

This book is a very emotional book to read. The journey Kenny undergoes to get to where she is now is heartbreaking. Fate dealt her a crappy hand but she proved she is a strong woman and she clawed herself back and built up her walls. Hunter tries hard to break them walls and to get her to trust him but he also has a past, a past that threatens to get in the way.... I went through a barrage of emotions whilst reading this book and I was a snotty mess by the end of it. I absolutely loved it and I can’t wait to read the next one.

I knew this was going to be a tear-jerker when I started reading the book, but I was not expecting this story at all. The epilogue sets up such a sad tale for Kenny and I felt her pain and sorrow through the first handful of chapters. And then comes the new guy in town who just cannot stop running into Kenny and he falls head over heels over head over heels for her. I think the slow burn and soft romance that develops between Kenny and Hunter is so sweet and yet so angsty at the same time that you get the best of both words. After reading this, I can't wait for Eva's next solo project!

Wow! What a story! This book is defiantly an emotional rollercoaster that will have you crying, laughing and swooning. Kennedy’s story is heartbreaking and when Hunter comes along they can’t help but have an immediate attraction to each other. Kennedy has been through so much she has a wall built up but Hunter is determined to break that wall down all while he is dealing with his own issues. This book is a must read story!

Kenny met the love of her life Travis in high school. They were inseparable until they didn’t have a choice. Kenny is raising their daughter Grace. Hunter moved from New York after a horrible break up with his bosses daughter. He needs a fresh start and decides to train horses to help people. When he meets Kenny he’s attracted but will she open her heart? If she does, can they build a life together?

I really enjoyed this book. The story is heartbreaking, but beautiful. Both Kennedy and Hunter never expected the instant spark that flashed when they first met. Hunter is looking for a fresh start and Kennedy is having a tough time moving on. Hunter is so good for Kennedy. Their first date is so romantic. A definite swoon worthy moment for Hunter. The epilogue was so beautiful. It had tears in my eyes. You can't help, but root for Kennedy and Hunter to get their HEA.

This author was new to me. The first time I dipped my toe into the authors style of writing,

Letting Him Go was such a sweet story, with so much emotion. You could feel the pull between Hunter and Kennedy, and there were some hot moments. I laughed at the banter between Kenny and her girls, felt the heartache, peace, & joy at things life can throw ones way. I really enjoyed this story and cannot wait to see what this author does next.

This is the first time in reading this author with her storyline that called to me when I glanced at it. Soulmates are a blessing with this one giving a emotional fill on them . Kennedy and Hunter center this with a great other characters that will fill it in. This is a good one on showing what is really important when the walls come down. Emotional and gripping with you staying into it from start to finish.
