Kilts & Kisses #2

Stolen by the Scottish Rogue

Rate this book
Honestly, it’s just common don’t ever, for any reason, fall in love with a pirate.
No matter how tempting or toe-curlingly gorgeous he is.
And especially not when he steals you from your own wedding…

One minute, I’m being married off to a horrible, cruel man to sweeten a family business arrangement. And the next? My wedding yacht is being stolen, with me on it , by the powerful, roguish Highlander, Lord Malcolm McAuley.

Former pirate. Ex-soldier. Full-time scoundrel . He also happens to be toe-curlingly gorgeous, sinfully tempting, and utterly irresistible.

I should want nothing to do with the crude, filthy-talking alpha who’s stolen me from my own damn wedding. But the more I tell myself no, the more I want to tell him yes—to anything he wants…

Anything.

Losing myself in those piercing blue eyes and wickedly perfect lips is dangerous. Giving in to his filthy words and pulse-quickening touch is a sin. He tells me I’m his , and the most sinful thing of all?

…I’m pretty sure he’s right.

Get tempted by tartan and jump right into filthy little fist-full of trope clichés. Hot, over-the-top, alpha af, and WILDLY historically inaccurate. Try not to get hung up on the historical details. Trust me, I didn’t ;). not responsible for lost or ripped bodices. Reader beware.

As with all my books, this one is safe, with no cheating, and a HEA guaranteed.

#1 bestselling contemporary romance author Madison Faye is the dirty alter ego of the very wholesome, very normal suburban housewife behind the stories. While she might be a wife, mom, and PTA organizer on the outside, there’s nothing but hot, steamy, and raunchy fantasies brewing right beneath the surface!

Tired of keeping them hidden inside or only having them come out in the bedroom, they’re all here in the form of some wickedly hot stories. Single-minded alpha hero, sinfully taboo relationships, and wildly over-the-top scenarios. If you love it extra dirty, extra hot, and extra naughty, this is the place for you! (Just don’t tell the other PTA members you saw her here…)

Sending book in this series and it’s just as smutfilled fun as the last one.

Ailith Pembroke is promised to a man who is known for beating his wives and staff not to mention being a cruel heartless husband whose wives seem to vanish, she will be the fourth wife. Although she fears the life her father has sold her too she knows all she can do is make the best of it. Her heart belongs to Lord Malcolm McAuley after this kiss they shared he’s been on her mind constantly but she knows she must forget how he made her feel and try to live in a marriage that she already knows will destroy her. That is until the boat she was getting married on is stolen along with her by none other than Lord Malcolm. Her only question is why?

Lord Malcolm was forever changed the moment he saw Ailith Pembroke and after their shared kiss she is all he will ever want. But she’s betrothed to another, not that that matters he wants her so he will take her and will face any consequences but can he convince that this once upon a time pirate wants her forever and will they survive the war he has brought their way. He will fight to keep her once he has her married to him no one will ever touch her again. But can he really save her from the battle he now faces?

As always a thrilling sexy read that’s totally safe and leaves you wanting more. Bring on book three!!!!

This one was super quick and under 100 pages i wish it was abit longer.. i am enjoying this series!!!

Ailith has already met Malcom at her friends wedding their was a spark but nothing can happen since her father already promised her to another man one she has never met but she knows of him.. and that is someone she doesn't wanna marry he's cruel abusive and he is on wife 3... which i was shocked when Malcolm did kidnapped her she fought to go back, like why would you go back to that guy you heard so many bad stories about? As for Malcom yummy ex pirate!! he waited long enough for his woman and what better way then to kidnap her hours before he wedding.. things get hawtt and heavy and some danger comes their way from that ex fiance and another surprise..

I KNEW Rhona HAD SOMETHING WITH A VIKING!!! I can't wait for her book.. cuz that is going to be interesting..

No cheating, no ow drama & om is the old man who was arranged marriage to her, sexy times, secondary chara, not a manwhore and a virgin gal

"Stolen By The Scottish Rogue" is the story of Ailith and Malcolm.

Another MF goodie, this time with a pirate hero, a to-wed heroine, one passionate kiss, a bride kidnapping, an impromptu wedding, some hot sex, drama and HEA.

It was good in parts!

I actually love this one...

it had more to the actual story than just the injections of sex, steam and sex...I mean don't get me wrong, Madison faye is a master in doing so...but here, it's just a tad bit more to the storyline and it was entertaining and light and not just a cheap sexy thrill...

so, yaay, thumb up

Algo aburrida.

Ahoy Me Mateys… Yo Ho Ho, it’s a Pirates life for me!

Gather yer mates, divvy the rum, roll yer bones, an' let yer balls fly… err, um… I meant cannonballs fly! Ahoy, me hearties… suspend reality, what you think you know about history, fly yer Jolly Roger and take a ride on the wilder side with Madison Faye’s latest release “Stolen by the Scottish Rogue”! Professionally written, engaging and with a sizzling fast-pace, this little beauty will shiver ye timbers, hoist yer sail, as well as provide multiple shivergasims to all who read it.

The heroine, a sweet virginal lass, is kidnapped at sea… but not really… actually it transpires when moored to a dock on her fiancé’s boat, awaiting her nuptials to Lord Carlton… Arrr, that scallywag! … and spirited away by the dashing, Laird Malcolm McAuley. As Ali comes… ahem, sorry… becomes more familiar with Malcolm, she perceives him as a rogue, a pirate, a rake, a tempting devil and a crude, wicked scoundrel with a really BIG… mast! When a storm approaches on route to Malcolm’s fortified island castle, the couple batten down the hatches, stow the sails and take refuge below deck… but it’s hard and wet… ahem…I mean difficult not to panic as the portholes are inundated with water. As the storm passes, Malcolm instructs Ali on how to navigate his… vessel… and upon arriving at the island, the couple prepare to unite in holy matrimony.

On their wedding night, virginal Ali is filled to overflowing with Malcolm’s… ah… love (repeatedly)… and the island is attacked by Lord Carlton’s mercenary forces. Saved by a rather surprising and inexplicable turn of events via a Viking raider… well, that is probably an entire new story… Savvy?...

As Captain Jack Sparrow says, “Not all treasure is silver and gold, mate” … sometimes it is simply love at first sight. “Stolen by the Scottish Rogue” is a standalone story within a series and told from dual POV… Eye patch not included!

This is the second book in this series. They can be read as standalone books but I think they are better when read in order. Ailith is being married to a man her father choose. He is older than her and has a not so great reputation. Malcom meet Ailith at his friend’s wedding. Malcolm is a man who knows what he wants and he wants Ailith. Malcolm has a plan and it may not be the best of plans but he going to go through with it. He plans to take Ailith and make her is bride. Ailith and Malcolm’s story is short, steamy, and so much fun to read. I love Madison’s books and this one was another hit for me. I look forward to reading the next book in this series. Madison writes steamy fun reads.

Jut as fun as book 1 in this series!

And again.... complete and total smut and enjoyed only if you suspend all your pre-conceived notions of what a historically accurate, well written book should comprise. This is simply just fun and crazy hot.

This one follows Ailish (one of the 4 friends in this book) who is set to marry an older, abusive man. Malcolm (hamish’s friend from book 1) stole a kiss from her in the first book and is now dead set on having her so he kidnaps her from her pre-arranged marriage.

So fun. So sexy! Such pervy language and a hot, intense Alpha who knows what he wants and goes after it.

I’m enjoying this series because it’s fun to just turn off your brain and read these smutty novellas and give in to all the silly cliches I secretly kind of love.

5 Stars!

Madison Faye is back with the naughty, scandalous Kilts and Kisses series and it's another hit novella from this talented author. Stolen by the Scottish Rogue was a steamy, fast, and unforgettable little romance that made the pitter patter in my heart go a little faster and left me needing a fresh, dry pair of panties y'all.

You know what they say... all is fair in love and war. Or is it? What happens when a pirate claims his girl who just so happens to be a bride he's stolen? A whole lot of heat, heart, chaos, and fiery passion between our two main characters, Ailith and Malcolm. It's a wild ride with that'll leave you breathless, heated to the touch, and begging for just a taste more.

If you like your books short, safe, easy, sweet, and uncomplicated in most ways with all the good stuff and no angst really then Madison Faye is a must read.

I highly recommend this book.

This pirate knows how to kiss! :-D

A stolen bride, a pirate lord, and a passion that consumes them both. That's a good start for the second novella in this series of smutty romances between men in kilts and ladies ready to be swept away by love.

With a light tone and sassy dialogues, the story tells about an abducted bride who braves storms, sea battles and a disgruntled father in order to find happiness with her very roguish captor.

The steamy scenes are wild. My favourite part is the sequence of events at the start, when she's stolen from her wedding day followed by dramatic events, some of them in the past. Then, also at the end as the big danger looms only to have an unexpected resolution. Quite entertaining novella.

An arranged marriage to a cold, abusive older man or run off with the former pirate/rake/kidnapper/lord......

decisions, decisions.

Luckily Malcolm doesn't Ailith much choice in the matter.
I love a good kilted man and Malcolm fits the bill quite well. He and Ailith met in book one ( yes you should read them in order from the beginning) and we wondered what was going to happen with them, and now we know! He's determined and she's going to fight him every step of the way, Ailith's temper is one of my favorite parts of the book, their banter is highly entertaining.
Then there's the heat level, as always no cheating, hot as hell, insta lust/love.
Bring on book three, I need more of these determined Highlanders.

Stolen by the Scottish Rogue is book 2 in the Kilts & Kisses Series by Madison Faye. This is Malcolm and Ailith's story.
Malcolm met Ailith a few weeks prior before she was due to marry another man. Who, by the way, was quite sleazy and bad. Malcolm falls in love with Ailith and he knows that he has to have her. He did whatever it took to make her his. The twists, action, drama , and steamy moments are all that made this a great read. I can't wait to read book 3 in this series.

Hot book

Just don't think period pieces are for me- no matter HOW historically inaccurate they are. I love Faye, and download just about everything she publishes the day the books drop, but I didn't jump on these ones. I didn't love the first one, but definitely enjoyed it more than this one. I didn't feel the connection, and our heroine in this book never grew on me. As far as my enjoyment of the book, I have it two stars, but I don't think it's fair to punish Faye because I didn't like the era. I like modern day smut, and even though I really want to read Tor and Rhona's story (hot viking, duh) I'm not in a rush. I thought I would love this one because Malcolm is a former pirate, but that wasn't enough for me. If you don't mind the time period and like books by Faye, I do recommend it. I'm just finding that historically (even ridiculously inaccurate) set romances aren't for me

Okay, wait a damn fucking minute, Reading the first chapter and the word yacht appears, and I’m like, is this a 2021 kind of book or is a historical one? But then the word kilt appears and I’m like girllll decideee, this is just getting better. The main character is a complete brat, there is a storm coming, and the guy asks for help, and she keeps being a brat, I’m like if you wanna die that’s your decision, but don’t drag me into it, if I were him I would
Have already throttle her, for how annoying she is. She keeps denying her feelings for him, she is so dumb. And then when the storm is starting, now she is clinging to him and screaming like a little girl, when he told her to go inside for her safety and of course how can a lady like her get inside a bedroom with a man who is not her husband. And then out of nowhere boom all kisses, hugs, moans, whimpers... At least she incorporated in the book words like arse, that is used in Scotland. This one I wouldn’t recommend to be honest.

This book was okay.

The sex scenes were hot and well written, however I felt bored. There was no small talk to get to know each other, even in the flash back when they met, it was purely physical.

I like a healthy dose of love and romance to go with my smut even if it's a novella. So due to that i was just so bored and couldn't enjoy the sex scenes.

However, i will be taking a look at the viking book. Out of each story that needs to be told rhona and Tors sounds most interesting to me. I may be disappointed with the lack of romance but i hope im wrong!

Safety: no ow drama, om drama- h is betrothed to another man However H steals her away from wedding and we never even meet or see the om.

In Love

This is a voluntary ARC review. Loved this book so much I bought it. It needs more than 5 stars to describe this book. I loved the first book in this series, and this book is even hotter. OMFG!! Hello!!! Cold Shower hell. If you want sweet romance, wrong book. If you want alpha he-man with lust-o-love on the brain, this would be the correct book. So over the top, and its written so well, it flows with graceful ease, that just makes you smile and say ‘hot damn’, shake your head, and wonder how this author will top this book with the next one in this series! Loved It!!! Sigh and Smile.

Take me any day!

Who wouldn’t want to be saved from a horrible fate of being married off to a man that is older than your father. Malcolm has a plan to steal a bride. After meeting Ailith at Una and Hamish’s wedding he new that she was meant to be his, it didn’t matter to him that she was betrothed to another Lord, one that is known to keep mistresses and mistreat his brides. So it was an easy decision to make to take Ailith on her wedding day. Once these two are alone on the water their connection cannot be denied. Love at first site does exist, and HEA can happen even to a Rogue.

It's not just porn, it's bad porn.

What drivel. Weak storyline and for an author to have written so many books to have written a mess like this is unbelievable.

The language is not even sophomoric, more like a teenager trying out obscene words for the first time. Also this literary mess could use an editor to keep the author from using the same phrases over and over again. This author needs to spend some of the money she's made on a thesaurus. She is way too fond of growl, grunt, and groan. These words are on nearly every page and in many instances several times on one page.

In conclusion, this time doesn't even deserve 1 star.

I'd walk that plank!........sigh😜

Well Malcolm the ex-pirate has spied a new treasure booty he lusts to claim! That little booty just happens to be attached to Ailith!
One look and both are lost, but she is promised to another!
What's an ex-pirate to do? Why steal the treasure, plunder the booty and keep it all to himself no matter who wants it back.
A LUSTY "tail" involving an alpha rogue, a smitten bride to be of someone else's, tons of steamy sex and a "happy ending" for all! 😉

A dirty scoundrel

The second book in the Kilts and Kisses series and while the heat factor was not as intense as the first the passion is just as fierce. Malcolm knee Ailith would be His the second he walked in on her at Hamish and Una’s wedding. I loved the banter between these two and the hints of what’s to come with the remaining two best friends. I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book. Read through Kindle Unlimited
