I DARE YOU TO MARRY ME …

Three years ago, I “married” my best friend’s sister on a dare and the next day, my best friend died. Maggie Mae is back in town and she wants a divorce. The thing is, we’re not really married
At least, I didn’t think we were…

Remember that guy in high school every girl wanted
Well, that sexy bastard was my brother's best friend
With a mouth that always knew exactly what to say and a body that wouldn't quit
Crash Kane was pure perfection
Perfect until he was almost mine

Remember that girl in high school every guy wanted
Maggie Mae was NOT that girl
While she wasn’t every guy’s dream
She was mine
She was also my best friend’s sister
And, like most guys, I knew the rules

Abandoned love, lost dreams and broken hearts. Sometimes, you’re going so fast, you don’t feel the CRASH…

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

This is the third book in the series, and I would recommend that you read them in order. Each deals with another brother but earlier books do set the scene and gives us the important information about their childhood.

Crash is so named because of his career. He is an ex-NASCAR driver and still races/does stunt work (with Steele) as well as running his own garage with friend and house-mate Jaggs. She is very much his little/big sister, not that Maggie Mae really believes that when she meets her!

Maggie Mae's brother Josh, was Crash's best friend. He died in a NASCAR race and neither Maggie nor Crash have ever forgiven themselves for the accident. Ironically, neither thinks that the other has forgiven them ... so three years on they still haven't spoken - until Maggie reappears in town asking for a divorce.

This ensues a chaotic but rather fascinating car crash of two lives which have been on parallel universes it would seem, and really need to meet and remember what everyone else always knew ... that they are perfect together.

Lots needs to happen to allow that HEA to be reached, and it is definitely a complicated journey, but very satisfying in the end.

Crash and Maggie have so much life history in common, but a pile of unanswered questions to resolve, not the least of which revolves around a drunken night in Vegas!
With a great cast of characters to revisit, Crash brings us a book which moves along at a good pace, engages our hearts and minds and tells us a story which is full of warmth. I loved both Crash and Maggie and it was great to see them answer those questions which had been left hanging and had put parts of their lives on hold for three years.

Chapter one ... and I was HOOKED. I stayed that way through the whole book. The story is complex and kept me guessing with all the guilt these people are carrying around, but... it makes for a real page-turning story.

Crash is a right moody, hot, sexy, stroppy, misery, but I love him; in fact, I love him and all his family, even though this is my first time reading about this bunch of sexy men. Maggie is a flighty little madam! Ducking off out of the lives of all the people who love her for three years, holding secrets and guilt after her brother, Crash's best friend, dies. Oh, the anxiety and tortured pain this couple have been through; each thinking they are responsible for his accident. It's a mess. I spent the day reading this book, hoping they get their act together.

There are lots of moments of "oh no he/she didn't" that really had me gripped. It all left me really wanting to read about the other brothers preceding Crash, and I will be reading their stories now.
This is my first Kelly Gendron book but I think I'm going to be a big fan.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review.
Crash is the third book in the Daring the Kane Brothers series and I think he might be my favorite so far. When Crash gets run off the track, he can't believe who is driving the car that ran him off. After three years Maggie is back and you will not believe what she wants?
Crash and Maggie's brother Josh were best friends and the bro code was that you don't mess with your best friends sister. So Maggie was off limits to Crash but he has loved her for a while. When Josh asked Crash to check on her while she was in Vegas, Maggie dared Crash to do something and Crash has never been one to back down from a dare.
Now after three years, Maggie is back and wants a divorce fro Crash. While Crash thought it was annulled before it was actually filed, Maggie has proof that it was true. While Maggie has loved Crash since she was 12, she couldn't stay after her brother died. And with the secret she has kept, it will break her heart to reveal the truth now.
Will Crash hate her for keeping her secret for so long? Can Crash accept that he is really married to the one girl he has loved for years? Will the truth come out about Josh's death?
I fell for Crash a little in each of the other books but he stole my heart in this one. Each of these books are a standalone but I would suggest reading them all, you do not want to miss any of the Kane brothers, they are all yummy. And I can't wait for the next book, it will be Nix's story so bring on more.

Although this one didn't quite wow me in the way I had hoped it would, it was an addictive read. It was fun, it kept me hooked, and even though I wanted a bit more, it was more than enjoyable.

Title: Crash ( Daring The Kane Brothers #3)
    Author: Kelly Gendron
    Genre: Contemporary Romance
    Rating: 5/5

ARC received in return for an honest review.

Well you that saying about how your best friends little sister is off limits well that clearly didn’t apply to Crash Kane as he went and married his one drunken night in Vegas, at the time he thought it wasn’t going to be valid marriage and events take a turn resulting in Maggie the new bride leaving it goes unmentioned until three years down the line when she crashes back into his life informing him that the marriage was indeed real and she wants a divorce.

Will Crash give Maggie the divorce she’s asking for or will he fight to win the heart of the woman he’s always loved? Things aren’t all they seem and there’s a few surprises in store for Crash in particular.

This was another great addition to what is a firm favourite series of mine, it was a fast-paced read with plenty of drama and a few surprises thrown in, it was hot and steamy with twists and turns making it a captivating read from beginning to end.

Crash gets a surprise visit from the one person he never thought would come back to town, Maggie Mae!

Maggie left town soon after her brother died and hasn’t been back to town in three years. Now she’s back to get Crash to sign divorce papers to make sure he isn’t involved in a situation that could have possibly followed her home😢 But Crash surprises her more and more after each interaction between them.

A fantastic story of an off-limits relationship that stands the test of time and more😍 I can’t wait to read the next brother, Nix’s story❣️

5.0 out of 5 stars Crash is a winner!!!

Book 3 in Daring the Kane Brothers has truly captured our hearts! This series keeps getting better and leaves us wanting more with every book.

Maggie was the woman that every man wanted. She wasn't your average girl. And while she may have been desirable, she was also off limits!

Crash was true to his word, but he also was one to never back down from a dare! This trait put Crash in a situation that he had to follow thru with without admitting his true feelings!

Now Maggie is back. Crash is faced with the one woman that has always meant something to him and she is ready to walk away from him for good. This means he has to watch her go or find a reason for her to stay.

Crash and Maggie draw you in and make you want more. These brothers are winners in my book!

I liked the relationship between Maggie Mae and Crash. They were never cruel to each other but continued to dance around their feelings for each other. As each layer of secrets was revealed, the closer they became. A nice clean romance.
