    I don’t mind the odd high school bully romance novel. It reminds me of the old days- sigh, did I really just say that?? The start of this book was hard to get into. The male MC would throw out words of toughness without any real action to back it up as evidence of his ‘alpha’ ways. There’s a little bit of action throughout but not much. I’m glad I pushed on though. The writing improved and the characters evolved. If you can take this as it is, a high school romance, then you will enjoy it.

    I for one am always up for a werewolf/shifter story. I don’t care how many I read or how they all seem to be relatively the same storyline.

    This book is no different there’s nothing overly explosive or different to the basic story plot but it still catches my attention and holds me.
    I love the growth in the characters the way they heal each other into being the best version of themselves.

    I loved this book and while it’s my first from Renee Rose I think I will be continuing with her stories and maybe this series.

    I'm not sure how I came to be reading this book. I love Paranormal sexy novels but teen, high school ones are definitely not my vibe. I'm more into wolf shifters closer to my old age.

    But I got involved in the characters very quickly and then couldn't put it down. I loved that Pink was so much stronger than Cole - and it took him most of the book to discover this. There wasn't much wolf shifter stuff covered but just enough to get a taste and want more of the story.

    The sexy stuff was hot and seemed more mature than an 18 year old should know.

    Well I have loved the whole Alpha series.
    Am I in love with this offshoot from that series? HELL YES!!!!
    Was I a little leary of the younger characters, bully and high school theme? DAMN RIGHT!!
    But I should have known that Ms. Rose would only deliver the best and absolutely not disappoint on any level.
    Does the story evoke memories of high school good and bad ? Absolutely!
    Does it read as younger and immature, NO!
    The story deals with social and peer pressure, addiction, assault, sexual awakening, bullying, growth, redemption, forgiveness and so many more issues we all deal with in our lives no matter what our age or status.
    That being said, I loved Cole and Bailey's story, it was deeply emotional, sexy, hot, showed a changing relationship in it's many incarnations and had well rounded, complex relatable characters. The story evoked a variety of émotions, pulled me in and had me wrapped up in the story till the last page!
    Such a surprising and thoroughly good story, well done!

    I really loved how the main male character, Cole, grew over the course of this book. My opinion of Cole changed completely - at the beginning I thought he was a vicious, arrogant, entitled jerk who was not good enough for the heroine, Bailey. But then, little by little, I started to realise why Cole was acting like such a jerk, and my view of him changed. He softened and grew up over the course of the book. By the end, he was a wonderful boyfriend and a true alpha - dominant, strong and fiercely protective of those he loved as well as having a fierce desire to do the right thing. The heroine, Bailey, was so brave and I think everyone could relate to how she felt like an outsider at the beginning of the story - because who hasn't felt alone or rejected at times? And then she experiences a horrible trauma, but she bravely overcomes it, with the help of Cole. I found these characters real, deep and believable. The plot was exciting and fast-paced. I'd recommend this book to anyone who loves paranormal romance or who just loves reading about sexy alpha males who secretly have a heart of gold.
