Sloane is a fallen princess, that’s tangled up in the blow back from her fathers sins. Bo is just a Wolf Ridge shifter football player who is trying to follow the rules (well most of them) and be there for his mom and brother. When these two meet, and Sloane throws a wrench (and a few stolen cars) into Bo’s life things go from attraction, to hate, to friends, to lovers, to enemies... and so on and so forth. All in all this is a good quick shifter read. There’s romance, there’s angst, and there’s suspense. What more do you need? As I said, this one is quick, but it still packs a punch.
DNF - waaaaaaaay too much apologizing and hand wringing in his head over any sort of mildly aggressive behavior. 🙄🙄🙄 kinda of odd for a shifter. #findyourballs - not for me
Renee Rose is back with a new couple for us to fall in love with, and fall in love i did. Bo and Sloane may seem like they have nothing in common, but underneath I think they are much more alike than they think they are.
Sloane is smart, resourceful, and inventive. I applaud her taking the initiative to take care of her problem.
I think Bo has a good heart and wants to protect people. He tries to hide it though.
I have to admit that this was so much better than book one! We have two characters that you can actually root for and a suspenseful plot that will keep you wondering what would happen.
I couldn’t help but root for Sloane and Bo. Even when they were fighting the attraction they had for each other, it was still there and you could cut it with a knife.
"Because I love you Sloane. You're the fucking Earth and moon and stars to me. And I would die before I let you go. Even without a mating bite".
I did have to take off a star because some things weren’t believable and because this is really New Adult in a YA setting. There was quite a bit of sex here. While they were technically still in high school, this isn’t young adult and I don’t want anyone to think it is. Also, the amount of leniency these kids have was laughable. His mom let him stay out for days and her aunt never checked on her Sloan in her bedroom? Okay, sure.
All in all, I mostly enjoyed it even though some things were a bit unbelievable. I’m hopeful that we get books about the other guys!
Well I will be the first to admit that after reading the first book I was totally down for some more of that bully BS. Especially because the DAYM Groveling was just so delicious.
This book I wouldn't call a bully romance. He never really bullies her at all. And while the last book made me all bothered N hawt, this book just felt kind of...….meh.
I mean they didn't even go to the same school. Nor live in the same town. I don't know, I was really hoping it could match up. But don't let this discourage you.
I understand that this review probably sounds like absolute Gibberish and that could be to the 8 hour CLEAN OUT YOUR CLASSROOM IN ONE DAY WITHOUT ANY HELP CAUSE 'RONA I just pulled, but it could just be that the whole book left me feeling kinda meh.
Plus don't get me wrong I like some good action (NOT that kind, getcha head outta the gutta). BUT the Big Drama that happens?...…...It felt rather Cliché, dare I say? A mob. Money. Taken. A rescue?
No. I shall not get hype, in fact, I shall be the opposite of hype for something that felt really unrealistic and like I have read at least 20 jillion times. Childish I know, but Wah Homie.
Any ways, I'm not saying this book was bad, it just didn't really do a whole lot for me.

I enjoyed Bo and Sloane's story. Bo and Sloane had a rocky start but they ended up falling for each other. Sloane was a tough girl and has had a rough patch and has been doing shady things to get money. Loved how Bo wanted to help and protect her. A great story.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Wow this one had me from the start Sloane is in bad spots because of her dad and Bo is just trying to keep his family going good. These two made me want to slap them, hug them and throw water on them lol I can not wait to read more!!!
This book is full of teen angst with hormones running rampant, the scramble to find their place in the hierarchy of the social strata of high school, the pressure of living up to the expectations of the adults and dealing with their education. In addition, the story has plenty of drama, hot sexy scenes, laughs, and adult situations that will keep the older readers entertained and fully engaged in the characters. Bo is everything you would expect from a young adult alpha wolf. He is protective, cocky, assertive, emotional and hormonal (and horny). His protective instincts and insistence on helping Sloane definitely earn him the title of Alpha Knight. Sloane is a young woman thrown into an impossible situation because of the sins of her father. She is proud and defiant, protective of the small family she has left, assertive and self reliant. When Bo forces her to accept his help, she tries everything to make him stay away. Is it because she doesn’t want anyone to get hurt or is it because she is protecting herself from anyone getting too close to hurt her? This book features characters from the other Bad Boy Alpha stories and while it is not necessary to have read those books, this story will be much more enjoyable if you have. Besides, Renee Rose and Lee Savino write some amazing books! Downloaded from BookFunnel. I received this book free from the author for my honest review. Since I rely heavily on reviews to make decisions about purchases, I will never lie or over-exaggerate my opinion. There is nothing worse than seeing a bunch of 5 star reviews and realizing the book is full of errors or just plain bad and not worth my hard earned money!
You want suspense? You want mystery? You want a story that is fast paced and filled with the unexpected? You want a book that has sexy scenes, danger and romance? And finally, was I entertained? Completely! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read and a classic Renee Rose at her finest. “Alpha Knight” is the second book in the “Wolf Ridge High” series Which is an addition to the Bad Boy Alpha series. We read about some characters from the previous stories but this can still be read as a stand-alone.
Sloane McCormick is trying to protect herself from the mafia due to the criminal dealings her father had been involved in and cope with the effects on her life which changed drastically when he went to jail. Bo Fenton is an Alpha, Wolf Ridge shifter wolf, who plays H. S football and tries to stay out of trouble. Winslow is Bo’s older brother who becomes involved with Sloane when she steals cars and needs help fencing them to get money to pay back the Mafia. Winslow was shot by the police but was fortunate enough to escape. Bo is determined to help his brother and pretends to be Sloane’s boyfriend to stay with her and discover her secrets. When Sloane and Bo meet, the chemistry between them is off the charts. They try to stay unaffected by their feelings but we know how that usually turns out. The book is a page turner filled with suspense concerning their relationship. This is a real gem of a book that draws the reader into a beautifully told, beautifully written story of love, life, and friendship.
I really loved this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable even with some criminal and stalker elements. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. The don and his men definitely needed to get some comeuppance as did Winslow and Ben. Many of the supporting characters need to find their "ones" as well such as Wylde, Austin, Slade, and Abe. The guys were all there for Bo and had his back when he would let them. Bo was protective, possessive, and yet also very caring and concerned. He was drawn to Sloane as soon as he saw her and was upset that she wasn't like him. Sloane was sassy, smart, and protective even when she was afraid and trying to take care of those around her. She was drawn to Bo but Winslow had told her that Bo was off-limits. Bo and Sloane ended up spending a bunch of time together after things went sideways for Winslow. The two of them started off as enemies but soon became much more. Their banter had me cracking up on more than one occasion. I loved their happy ever after even though I would have liked an epilogue further out as well. I recommend reading this book. Listening to it is a joy as well. I have listened to it several times. The narrators are talented and really bring the story to life. I would recommend listening to this book as well.
The second book in the Wolf Ridge High series didn't quite hit the same high as Alpha Bully. The bullying element is absent and there's nowhere near the same depth and complexity of emotion between Bo and Sloane as there is between Cole and Bailey. However, the book is still very enjoyable. Bo has quite the white-knight complex, which is good because Sloane very definitely needs a hero. Sloane's character didn't totally click for me. She vacillates between cocky overconfidence and serious lack of self-worth. She doesn't involve the police, even when the bad guys threaten to sell her into sexual slavery. When the bad guys threaten her cousin, she doesn't even warn her aunt. Her self-reliance made some sense given her father's neglect, but it hit some sour notes, although her resourcefulness in getting money did make her more likeable. Bo reminded me a bit too much of Jacob in Twilight, but in that sense, it was nice to finally see Jacob get his HEA. I always enjoy Renee Rose books and although this one didn't shine quite as bright as the first book in the series, I still liked it a ton and look forward to more in this series.
This is part of the wolf alpha series only it’s the next generation, young adults who take the lead There’s less high school drama but plenty of family related drama. The girl is in big trouble with the mafia. She has to buy time doing whatever it takes or else she and her remaining family are going to be sold as slaves to cruel men. She's actually concealing some hurt but is very take charge and feisty Hero is a good teen wolf, he deserves the white knight title. I did not find him angsty or a bully. He is stuck with a big brother who is off the rails, leaving him with responsibility he does not want
There’s a bit of action and fights , and funny sweet scenes in the bedroom. Bdsm is not a heavy theme here , just lighter spanking and dirty talk
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
this was an awesome cute little read. reading books about teenagers isn't usually my thing but this was a cute little paranormal love story and i really enjoyed it. i cant say it was a hot read cause teenagers...yeah not my cup of tea there, but it was cute. interesting characters, lots of suspense and it was a real page turner it sucked me in and left me wanting to know more. i will most certainly be reading more of these books by this author.
Alpha Knight is the second book of Wolf Ridge High. This book has an alpha teenager and a courageous overzealous female lead who takes no prisoners.
Bo and Sloan are from two different worlds, which makes sense since one is a shifter and the other is a rich girl from the good side of the tracks. Sloan is in need of money and decides to do something so outrageous that nobody sees coming. But when Bo's brother gets wrapped up in it and Bo has to bail Sloan and his brother out of trouble these two become extremely close.
I highly enjoyed Alpha Knight and can't wait to see what is next.
If you're a fan of well written, action-packed New Adult shifter romance stories filled with plenty of suspense, angst, attraction, off-the-charts chemistry, great banter, and hot scenes, they you'll love Alpha Knight by Renee Rose. Throw in some the mafia, twists, secrets, kidnapping, and some high school jinx, and you got yourself one fantastic read.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.
I really love Shifter Romances and this is a really good one. It takes place at a two different High Schools, but it doesn’t really dwell on the schools much other than High School sports.
Writing YA romance can be tricky. You have to believe in the romance, but you also have to believe that the protagonists are *teenagers.* While Rose is a master at creating a romance, I struggled with the YA aspects of Alpha Knight. Basically, the heroine and hero didn’t come across as high-school age to me. It was like watching a romcom where it’s evident the actors playing the roles are in their late 20s/early 30s instead of closer to high-school age.
I’m supposed to believe that the heroine Sloane, as a high school student, knows how to break into and then fence cars for resale. I might be able to swallow that if she had grown up around, say, a chop shop or a legitimate auto repair business. But Sloane is supposed to be a trust-fund kid who’s fallen onto hard times. Right, because rich kids know all about breaking into cars and finding a front for resale. One of my mouth-agape moments was when Sloane is taking a stolen car to a shop and hoping she can observe them stripping parts from another car and putting them into her stolen car to anonymize it so she can do it next time. Because, you know, if you watch a complex mechanical task once, you can easily replicate it.
Add to this that Sloane is at risk because her father embezzled funds from mafia figures, and they’re after her for information he ostensibly sent her in letters she no longer has. Add to this the shifter culture that the hero Bo is a part of, and the typical longing for a human when shifters aren’t supposed to reveal themselves. Add to this the whole hiding-in-plain-sight aspects of the shifters. There was just a bit much going on here. And for me, the final resolution to Sloane’s dilemma strained credulity.
I liked Bo as a character. I liked Sloane’s forthrightness. Rose’s writing about their love is great. But multiple aspects of this plot were unbelievable to me. Combined with protagonists who felt like people acting young instead of being young, Alpha Knight just didn’t add up. I love love love Rose’s writing. Unfortunately, this one was a rare misfire.
Omg great follow up from the first bk in the series. We meet Bo in Alpha Bully. And he doesn't disappoint in his story great drama suspense and steamy love scenes. I couldn't put this book down. Renee Rose did a great job with this book and I can't wait to read more books by her.
I really loved the first and third book in the Wolf Ridge High series, so I was excited to dive into this one! And overall I found it solid- but left me a bit more lukewarm overall than the others. If you've read Alpha Bully or Step Alpha this one is a bit "softer"- our hero is likable, more respectful and thoughtful, and our heroine is a bit more steely and ballsy. It makes for a totally different dynamic, which I enjoyed. But, the chemistry never quite popped for me. The relationship felt a bit one note- and so I felt like something was missing from their connection to have it consume me like the first and third books did. I did enjoy it, just not my favorite in the series.
While not quite as good as the first volume (Alpha Bully), this was a very good addition to this series. Sloane and Bo meet under rather unusual circumstances, when she is working with his brother Winslow to clean up for sale a car that she's stolen. The reasons behind this Cave Hills High School "princess" jacking cars are something that doesn't become know to Bo for quite some time. And they really precipitate almost all of the action in the book.
The fact that Sloane is stealing cars as a way to try to get out of the trouble that she's in is one of the main things that I did not enjoy about the book. Despite being told that the money she'd earn from doing so isn't enough to cover someone else's debt that she is being forced to pay, she continues on with this dangerous and pointless course of action. Sloane also refuses to seek help from anyone in her life, even though there are people around that she could probably trust and who might even be able to help her. Bo also, once he discovers her secrets, doesn't ask for help from his or a nearby pack, or from any of a number of (some rather powerful) adults who might be able to assist them. Instead, he takes on his own dangerous attempt of trying to earn some money that they both know will not be anywhere near enough. Shortly thereafter, in spite of knowing what Sloane is probably thinking and things that may have led her to abandon him, does nothing but wallow in his hurt, leaving her alone in this dangerous situation for an extended period of time. Even the ending, while it appears that they have made it out of their predicament freely, does not entail a resolution that necessarily guarantees their long-term safety. Really, I often just wanted to smack one or the other of them upside the head!
Aside from those annoying plot points and character flaws though, the remainder of the story is actually quite good, and the writing itself superb. Despite both of their efforts to hold the other at a distance and keep their feelings in check, Bo and Sloane fall hard and fast for one another on a variety of levels. Their physical attraction is strong and powerful, while the emotional connection that they form is meaningful and substantial.
There aren't an awful lot of sexy time scenes in this book, but the ones that they do share are quite hot. Again, while there are, as in the prior book of the series, instances of power-exchange and punishment, there's a strong vibe of implied consent that runs through their interactions. Bo evens asks Sloane on more than one occasion if she's okay with things that have transpired between them, just to be sure; and he leaves her with various options to protest, or even to get rid of him should she actually be so inclined.
There are a few peripheral characters mentioned in the book, although not many who come in to play very much at all. Some of the players from Alpha Bully reemerge, and some of the same events are covered. But overall there is not a lot of interaction with any of them. There is, however, serious implication that there will be future stories in the series starrring other members of the Wolf Ridge High alpha-holes clique. And I, for one, definitely look forward to reading them!
I received a free eBook copy of this title from Give Me Books Promotions, and have willingly provided an honest review.
A PHENOMENAL paranormal bully-romance! A MUST-READ! ALPHA KNIGHT, by author Renee Rose, is an epic tale of love and misguided assumptions. It is a new adult, paranormal, high school bully story that knocked my socks off with its sincerity. Not only is the action non-stop and twisty enough to have kept me on the edge of my seat it was the stellar characters which made ALPHA KNIGHT impossible to put down! Bo is the epitome of the tall dark and handsome jock, and one of the three high school seniors who run the teen culture at his local high school. Sloane is a former “princess.” The title of “princess” comes from her enrollment at the preppy high school in the rich part of town and her ability to give off that air of superiority that is common to those who are rich and privileged. But Sloane is different. By no fault of her own, Sloane is reduced to using her “privileged” social skills to earn the money she needs to protect the little family she has left. Together, their chemistry is explosive! I just wish I could adequately describe the sensuous and seductive way author Rose’s eloquent prose takes her readers into the hearts, minds, and angst of Bo and Sloane. In ALPHA KNIGHT, as she does in all of her romances, author Rose tells the story in a way that makes her characters seem deep and real, and their actions or reactions seem fundamental and believable. It is easy for readers to feel they have become part of the story because of an animated sense of suspense which is revealed in the action of the story and one which her fans recognize as another earmark of any novel by Renee Rose. It is also why her readers become so drawn into her stories that reality seems the rude interruption. So, if you are looking for a great romance with all of the entertainment, feels, and page-turning action romance readers demand, ALPHA KNIGHT should be your next romance purchase. Because some of the scenes are explicit and STEAMY, only readers 18 or over need apply; however, any price, ALPHA KNIGHT is worth the cost. I volunteered to read a copy of ALPHA KNIGHT and promise it will make you laugh, cry, swoon and cheer. This is my VOLUNTARY and HONEST 5+Star review. If I could award more than five stars, I would. I STRONGLY suggest that you purchase your copy of ALPHA KNIGHT today! Happy pages! 😉
Wow!! Bo Fenton is such an amazing hero and I’m so glad he was the next alpha hole to get his own story. He’s All-American down to earth and lovable hardworking teen heartthrob. He’s loyal to his best friends and sleazy older brother and to his hardworking mother. Legs aka Sloane McCormack was also equally amazing. She’s been put in this incredibly tough situation that has nothing to do with her but alas she’ll do whatever it takes to ensure that her aunt and kid cousin remain out of the clutches of some truly evil men. Together these two are hawt!!! Their chemistry is off the charts. He’s being pulled to her like he can’t believe and she wants this hunky boy but her life is waaaaaay to complicated for distractions. The whole fake boyfriend/girlfriend thing was kinda like whaaa? But it added to them getting to know each other more and doing so rather quickly if you know what I mean 😉. Bo has some previous experience with ow but he’s never had the calling to mark a woman as his own. Squeeeee!!!!! Love it!!!! This is such a fun standalone. It’s got LOTS of action, bad guys, good guys turned total alpha bad@$$ and a feisty smart heroine who can keep up with the flow of things and a pretty great HEA. The way they settle the whole bad guys situation is pretty underwhelming, but since this is a standalone and probably not something the other guys are gonna ever know or deal with them it’s for the best. Some typos here and there. So for those two reasons I’m rating this a four rather than five. But it’s soooooooo sooooo good and deserves to be read and enjoyed. Who’s next in getting their own story??? Eekkk I can’t wait to find out!!!!
I am a huge Renee Rose fan, and while I will read anything she writes, Alpha Knight has one of my most favorite heroes in Bo, a wolf shifter from Wolf Ridge. His family doesn't have much money but he's a muscular, football god at his high school along with the other "Alpha-holes"; there are call backs to Cole t& Bailey from "Alpha Bully" sprinkled throughout the story. Bo meets Sloane, a fallen high school princess (her dad was convicted of embezzlement and committed suicide). She now lives with her aunt and cousin in Cave Hills; however, all is not well. Her father had been in deep to some mobsters and they come after Sloane to recoup their losses. With threats of rape and human trafficking of herself and her little cousin hanging over her head, she resorts to stealing cars and fencing them. That's where Bo comes in ... she meets him at his uncle's bodyshop, where his brother is "helping" Sloane chop and sell the cars.
Angry sparks fly when Bo's brother gets injured helping her. To punish her and help him find his brother, Bo makes himself Sloane's shadow. Soon the antagonism turns to irresistible passion. The attraction between the two is palpable from the very beginning, and Bo is just my favorite hero in this series so far [Cole never really appealed to me. He was too much of an a-hole] but Bo is the perfect amount of cocky, sexy, and heroic.
This couple faces a lot of obstacles. And, I liked that the resolution of each wasn't predictable fron page one. Highly recommended from this RR fan!
Super great book. Still at Wolf Ridge High, Bo is on the football team and is a good guy but still a jerk at times. Winslow his older brother gets into trouble along with his friends but he tries hard to keep Bo out of anything bad. Sloane is the princess type and human, she's stealing cars and having Winslow help her sell them and splitting the take fifty fifty. Winslow gets caught and shot by the police and disappears. Bo goes straight to Sloan for info when she had none he sticks with her not knowing she has a terrible secret that could get everyone she knows into serious trouble. After sneaking into her bedroom she and Bo come to a sort of truce since they both actually are attracted to each other even with the snarky remarks. Bo and Sloan get very intimate after her homecoming dance and she decided she will give him her virginity and she did that. Bo respects that Sloane knows nothing and they begrudgingly part ways, she owes money but won't give her secret up and she needs to steal another car. Without Winslow's help she has to sell direct and goes to the border, Bo put a tracker on her phone and just as the deal goes bad he shifts and saves the day. The mysteries are intriguing and it's a can't put down till it's finished kinda story. These are passionate, loyal, over protective wolves that you just have to love. I'm already anticipating the next story in the series. I voluntarily received an advanced reader copy of this book.
