    I pre-buy all of Melody Grace's books but to be honest, she isn't holding the same appeal of late and while the SweetBriar cove series - is that "sweet" it lacks something...
    That being said it's an easy, predictable, sweet and sexy escape. I finished reading this book a few days ago just have struggled to complete the review as I wanted to be balanced and re-reading my notes there were a lot of eye roll moments...

    Ok so here comes the balanced review...
    'The Only One' by Melody Grace is the third book in a series, but a complete standalone. This is Brooke and Riley's story, a most unlikely couple that are looking to heal and find themselves and unexpectedly find each other along the way.

    Brooke Delancey is running from heartbreak. A fresh start in every way will help her heal and move on and Cape Cod is where she finds the new job, the new home, new friends but she's sworn off men. Sweetbriar Cove is the perfect place for her, this quaint town with its beautiful beaches and friendly locals is heaven for Brooke. The one thing she didn't count on was Riley... the local bar owner, gorgeous, and he can kiss!

    Riley Ford is the charming, easy-going guy everyone loves in town. He also doesn't trust, hence is anti-relationships... Also running from his past, he found his escape in Cape Cod’s easy life.

    Neither wanted commitment, but neither could they fight the chemistry when they were close.
    I enjoyed seeing the relationship grow between Riley and Brooke. They have a connection which felt real as they were friends first which is a believable foundation.

    This was a predictable story but very sweet. If you enjoy Melody Grace than this is more of the same. She does heartbreak, loss and love found very well. I just think I may have read a few too many so am getting a little parse about it all... 3.5 Stars
