“He wasn’t sure why her praise mattered to him, but it did. On a dark night, in an empty house, far away from the reassuring buzz of his fans and hangers-on, her words felt true in a way he hadn’t believed in a long time.”
“It was like gravity had brought them to this frozen moment–some undeniable force that was beyond questions. Beyond words.”
This Kiss is the latest addition to the Sweetbriar Cove Series and is a feel good romance that is sure to sweep you off your feet.
Told from dual points of view, Sweet Kiss follows the story of Jenny and Fraser. Small town living might not be for everyone, but Jenny couldn’t imagine a better place for herself and the niece that she is raising. As caretaker of this amazing house, Jenny has been able to provide a great place to live and focus on the things that matter the most. That focus is about to change when a sexy stranger shows up on their doorstep. It turns out this stranger is the new owner of their home and is ready to claim it for himself….Fraser wants nothing more than to escape the bright lights and stress of the big city and is hoping that Sweetbriar Cove will spark his passion for art again. He doesn’t mean to be broody and standoffish, but he wasn’t planning for Jenny, or having to share his sanctuary with anyone. Sparks will fly and this unlikely trio will find themselves as roommates until Jenny can find a place her and her niece to call their own. Will Jenny and Frazer give into the sparks flying between them?? There’s only one way to find out….
Overall, I really enjoyed this story. I loved how smart and spunky Jenny was. I loved her fierce devotion to her niece Hannah and how she always did her best to give Hannah the life that she deserves. Speaking of Hannah, I just adored this kid. Not only was she brilliant, but she also saw all the things that Jenny tried to hide. She knew how amazing her aunt was and just wanted to see her have some happiness in her life and if being with Fraser would bring Jenny some happiness, then Hannah was all for it. And lets not forget Fraser. Not only was he a famous and talented artist, he also had a huge heart to go along with it. Sure he came off as kind of a jerk in the beginning, but he more than made up for it in the end. Once I got to know the real Fraser, I couldn’t get enough of him and couldn’t wait to see him sweep Jenny off of her feet.
This Kiss is the perfect small town romance to spend your afternoon getting swept away in. There’s passion. There’s light drama. There’s a great feeling of family and friendship. There’s steamy moments and one’s that just knock you off of your feet. All in all, this is the kind of romance that makes you fall in love from the first page and leaves you with a big smile on your face when you get to the end. This Kiss is a terrific addition to the Sweetbriar Cove Series. I loved seeing all the familiar faces and new ones too. I look forward to getting my hands on the next book in this series and seeing who falls under the spell of Sweetbriar Cove next.
*I was provided an ARC copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review*
Oh Fraser!!!! There’s nothing like opening a book to find a hot Scot is the main character (I have a thing for Scotsman).
I adored Fraser and Jenny’s relationship development. Jenny’s devotion and determination to provide for Hannah was heartwarming along with her feelings for Fraser.
This Kiss by Melody Grace “Accepting the unknown, 5 stars”
It’s been Jenny and her niece Hannah for as long as she can remember at this point. When her sister died, she just picked up the pieces of her heart, put them in a box, and put all her time and energy into Hannah. She thought they were finally getting ahead of the curve but then life decided to throw Fraser in front of her. Will she give the brooding Scotsman a chance? Fraser moved out of the city to try and cut back on the distractions around him and get back to his art. What he found though was Jenny and her niece living in his house. What starts off as a roommate situation suddenly turns to more. He can’t keep his mind off Jenny and he wants her. Having a family was never really on his radar but Jenny and Hannah make it tempting. Will she give him a chance, or will she run before they even get started? I liked Jenny and Fraser. They worked amazingly well together once they got out of their own way. Hannah was probably my favorite with her scheming ways. All she wanted was for her aunt to be happy, and who doesn’t love that? This Kiss was a super adorable story filled with some of our favorite Sweetbriar Cove couples and holiday spirit. If you one-click you won’t regret it. Plot-5/5 Characters-5/5 Heat-5/5 Writing style-5/5 Overall-5/5
I've enjoyed all these different stories from Sweetbriar Cove. So many couples, all have their own stories. This mish mash of people formed a group that welcomed new acquaintances to their fold. This is Jenny's turn and we've seen he around Declan's restaurant. She's now guardian to her niece, putting her first, she has no time for romance. But now with her new landlord of sorts and their chemistry that was awkward at first. I do like my broody, grumpy heroes, who doesn't love a hot artist Scot? This guy had a creative block that helped by his new housemate.
I think Fraser needed to open himself up and a new change helped that. He and Jenny encouraged one another, it might be sticky starting something with him but it made her let go. The timing may be hard to navigate but the happiness Jenny and Hannah has inspired in him counts for something. I enjoyed this sweet and heartfelt story, the new trio of Jenny, Fraser and Hannah fit well.
I love seeing the rest of the gang together, they blended well all different personalities. Friends that became a pseudo family in this small beach town. Everyone has a story, played a role in finding the other happy ending too. Fraser and Jenny was a delight to read and the holiday feel of this was perfect too. Melody Grace made a great series for weekend, vacation easy reading.
Welcome to Sweetbriar Cove: the home of feel-good romance!
Jenny Archer knows that fairytales aren't real… so when a handsome Scotsman shows up on her doorstep in the middle of the night, she figures there has to be a catch. Like the fact that he’s tall, dark, and emotionally unavailable - and claims to be the new owner of her home.
The last thing Fraser Macintosh needs is drama. He’s traded the flashy art scene for a quiet life working on his paintings in Sweetbriar Cove, but he didn’t figure on his new house coming complete with a beautiful, stubborn caretaker, and her smart-mouthed niece.
They may be unlikely roommates, but soon, sparks are flying between Fraser and Jenny - and heating up the dark autumn nights on Cape Cod. But can Jenny open her heart to this rakish stranger? And will Fraser trade his bachelor life for this unexpected new family?
Loved Fraser & Jenny's story! Flawlessly written & heartwarming. As different as Fraser & Jenny are they're perfect for each other! A must read!
I really liked this book! Jenny is a single “mom” – she has custody of her deceased sister’s 12 year old daughter. They live as caretakers of the vacation house of an older gentleman who lives across the country. One stormy night someone breaks in, but it turns out that the older gentleman had died and Fraser purchased the house from the estate.
Fraser is an artist in a slump, who has an upcoming show scheduled but nothing to go in the show. He is hoping that some time away from the city will recharge his creativity and get him painting again. He was not counting on Jenny and her niece being there, or the difficulty he’d have to get them to leave.
I liked so much about this book. Jenny, her niece, the friendships in the town, how Fraser is with her and how he takes to the town.
What I didn’t like: If Jenny was a real person, I’d recommend she visited a therapist to deal with her sister’s untimely death and everything that came from that.
Overall, I really recommend this book. I am looking forward to the rest of the series.
Jenny has gave the ultimate sacrifice and given up her life to raise her sisters daughter, Hannah. She can’t have any distractions or have anything in her life that would cause them anymore heartache. Jenny is stubborn but with lots of reason to stand her ground. Fraser is the brooding artist type. But he’s also a hot single male with a accent. Did I mention he’s Scottish? He shows up in town and is attached by a banshee of a woman with a tennis racket. The same woman who couldn’t wait to push him out of the restaurant earlier that night. Fraser is having a artist block and only planning on staying long enough to get it back. With Jenny’s stubborn streak and Fraser eagerness to have this block pass and get back to city life. Can they overcome it all and make it work? Give this book a try. It’s a great read and can be read as a standalone.
Just as I always anticipate from her, Melody Grace triumphs with a return to the Sweetbriar Cove series with this newest addition, This Kiss. Fraser and Jenny are a perfect match from the inception of this story as the sparks between them ignite a passion neither one of them ever anticipated. Their beautiful romance definitely made me fall in love with this small town all over again. As the romantic tale of discovering love unfolds between Fraser and Jenny, Ms. Grace also brings back all of her wonderful characters from this outstanding series completely drawing me back into their world. This Kiss is a perfect addition to the Sweetbriar Cove collection and leaves my heart full of contentment and excitingly awaiting Ms. Grace’s next tale of love and romance.
yet another great story in this series, Jenny who works at sage with Declan runs her life around her niece, Hannah, since her mum died Jenny has put her first all the time. Jenny and Hannah live in a big house as caretakers, but unbeknown to them the owner had died and the house sold to artist Fraiser. when Fraiser arrives late at night in a storm to his new house unaware that he had tenants living there. watch as their rocky start turns into passion.
I love Fraser and Jenny's story, love all the books talk about the Christmas festival in sweetbriar cove, I can't wait till march for the next book pre-ordered and waiting.
I absolutely love this series! Follow Jenny, who is raising her sister's daughter Hannah, living in a huge house for free while she works and tries to raise her niece as best she can since her sister passed away. When all of the sudden one night the Scottish man she met earlier that day, comes in to the house she's been living in and turns her world upside down when he announces he is the new owner! Watch their story unfold in this amazing book written by Melody! 5 beautiful stars for this one, grab it as soon as it's available!
Jenny just gets all flustered around her man, “bed!” she blurted suddenly. Fraser raised an eyebrow. “I mean, I should go to bed,” Jenny explained, her skin burning..." Fraser likes to take care of his woman when he has plans, “well, to start with, I thought we could eat breakfast,” Fraser replied, unknotting her robe and sliding his hands over the warm curves of her body. “I don’t know about you, but I’m going to need some stamina.” I liked this book, I loved Fraser.
The Kiss was sweet and romantic filled with love, strong family bonds and amazing friendships that are found in Sweetbriar Cove. I absolutely loved everything about this book. The bond between Jenny and her niece Hannah was so special. Fraser was a piece to the puzzle that neither one knew they were missing until the sexy brooding artist came unexpectedly into their lives. The chemistry between Fraser and Jenny with undeniable. The fall was fun to watch. A must read!

This book is loving and sweet! It is all about the sacrifices and blessings we give and receive from family and friends. It is about the support and enjoyment they bring to our lives. And most of all, it is all about taking a risk at loving someone even though we are scared.
Absolutely loved this story!
I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Thanks to the author for sharing a copy with me.
I love this series! I can see myself living in a place like Sweetbriar Cove. This is Jenny and Fraser's story and I loved these characters. Jenny is a strong female lead and I loved the way she stepped up to take care of her niece. And Fraser is so swoony! They are so good for each other! Added bonus is you get to catch up with characters from previous books! Can't wait for the next one!
Jenny and Hannah are living in a house they are taking care of for an old man. However, Fraser, a good looking Scot from New York comes and buys the house. Jenny and Hannah are given 2 months in advance before they must move. Meanwhile, Jenny and Fraser are falling for one another but unable to take any more further steps.
This book was mainly ok...not bad, not great. I enjoyed it enough.
This Kiss was a wonderful story. I loved the characters. They were strong and likeable to begin with and both experienced growth and maturing. They weren't young, but neither were they old. Just old enough to have a bit of experience under their belts. The setting was lovely, and real enough that i"d like to visit the local shops. All in all, a fabulous read and I will be reading it again.
Excellent!!!! Want crazy about it at the start, with the foreign dude and the accent... But he quickly grew on me and then he on Jenny and when she got scared and backed off, I was so very disappointed. The get back together was priceless, using Hannah.... Loved it. Great story

I hate that I can't stop reading these once I start. Being at the end of a series and having to wait months for the next book is torture. Keep them coming Melody Grace!
