The result of late night “one-clicking” . . . .
1 ~ Too nuts to be cool ~ Star
This was probably the most taboo of the bunch and my least favorite. I tried keeping an open mind because this cover was so not working for me! But the same problems I had with the past two books were live and extra annoying in this read. This author is in love with the use of italic font and the words growl, groan, whimper and little must be her favorite words of the english language.
Lola is Xavier's ward. He was friends with her father, and when he got sent to prison for conspiring against the King, Xavier felt duty bound to take in the orphaned Lola when she was 14 years old. That was five years ago. I had a problem with this because I just wasn't buying their connection being anything other than lust for each other. Also the age difference was just too much for me. She's 19 and he is in his 50's! I don't mind an age gape but really anything over 10-15 years is pushing it. 20+ is crazy! Sorry, but that's my thoughts. Also with all the smexy times going on I kept expecting the little blue pill to make an appearance. . .

So I'm going to start by saying that I love this author, and every time I get one of her books, I just jump right in and start reading it. However that being said.... this is, so far, the only book of hers that I decided not to finish. I tried to give it a chance because of how much I like the author, but I just couldn't do it. There are two major things about this book that I just do not like and can't get past.
1) The age gap. I don't like age gaps, I find them depressing. And this was a MASSIVE age gap, which made it all the more depressing to me. I don't read books that depress me.
2) The fact that he's a 'father figure' to her. It's just.... yeah, it's twisted. I just can't like them as a couple. Being old enough to be her father is twisted, but actually having raised her is beyond twisted to me.
I tried to read it, but I finally just gave up only a couple of chapters in and decided that I won't be finishing it. I seriously doubt that I ever will go back to it.
I'm still looking forward to the next book in the series, I just hope it's not as twisted as this one was. I was gifted a copy.

This author can make a huge age gap seem plausible! Loved how Duke Xavier Danes and his ward, Lola fought the feeling until there was no turning back ...not even caring that people would talk about the age difference!

This is the third book in the Royally Screwed Series by Madison Faye. This series is about four friends ; King Hayden of Rince, King Sven of Northlund, Prince Cole of Luthane, and Xavier, Duke of Bandiff. All four men are royalty but they also consider themselves outsiders which is why they became such good friends. All four men will be attending King Milton and Princess Callie’s wedding. King Milton is a horrible man and one of the four friends has his eye on her. Princess Callie has no desire to marry King Milton, she’s only doing it to help her parents financially. Luckily she has her three best friends with her, Lola, Faith, and Riley. The four girls are all royalty but none of them seem to fit in which is probably why they became besties. The four royal men may have come to the wedding alone but all of them will be leaving with their wives.

Good pacing & romance. Hot sexual chemistry & sex scenes. Good enough emotions. Likable 18yo sexy virgin princess h who'd been crushing on her 40yo guardian-of-6-yrs-since-her-father-went-to-prison H for years but tried to get over him with other boys but found only H would do. Guardian-Duke H barged into her room with her bare-chested with some boy & he was enraged yet turned on to see her bare & tried to get over her by dating OW but just confirmed that only h would do. Liked how both didn't play games once they realized themselves what they felt for the other & were honest & open & vulnerable with each other. Hot Daddy-girl kink but not overly much.

Daddy Duke is the third book in Madison Faye's Royally Screwed series, and just as hot as the first two. If not hotter.
I didn't mind the age difference as much as some did. She does warn you at the beginning.
Xavier and Lola were hot together. The chemistry between the two was crazy!
This book was entertaining from beginning to end. Extra steamy, sweet and a dash of drama.

Great read if...you enjoy royal romance, older man younger woman, quick reads, hot scenes, and an HEA.
Side Note: This is definitely a trope-tastic book. We're talking all the predictable elements. The virgin. The daddy addition/aspect. The own you and all of you hot whirlwind thing. If that's NOT your cup of tea, don't go here, however, if it IS, this was enjoyable! I loved his character and hers grew on me after awhile. My only real issue was there some repetition of certain words. And not the words you're thinking, but different ones. Other than that, it was fun and so much fun that I went back and grabbed book one. This can be read all on its own, but knowing the other characters have a story, the way it's woven into this one kinda gets you interested. I enjoy Madison's work when looking for a very expected execution and a male character I'm gonna enjoy.

I love older man/younger woman stories and this one is no different. Daddy Duke takes us back to the royal wedding. BUT with Xavier and Lola's story. And it doesn't stay in the wedding scene, which I found a nice change of pace.
Lola has been half in love with Xavier for the past few years. But he is much older than her and is her guardian. So she assumes nothing can ever happen.
Xavier knows nothing should ever happen. He is supposed to take care of Lola, NOT fall in love or touch her in any way. But when she is found with a boy in his house, he decides it is time to make his feelings known.
Another great story by Madison. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy for my honest review.

Story does open with H on a date, but nothing happens, he actually leaves early. The h kisses a boy and the H walks in after she takes off her shirt. That's the only ow/om in the story. Great read. Slight push/pull, but didn't last long.

Explosive relationship between an older man and a much younger woman is what book #3 of Madison Faye's "Royally Screwed" series brings to readers this time around.
This was my first read into this type of relationship which traditional society frowns on and slaps the taboo label to but I went into this realizing that this stuff happens in real life too. Yes, it's not the norm and there are challenges with it these types of relationships but these are consenting adults after all.
So, I went with it.
"Daddy Duke" dives into the taboo relationship between the much older, Duke of Bandiff, Xavier Danes and his ward Princess Lola Abington. We've met the characters in the previous two books where it was hinted that there was an attraction between the two. Their story goes beyond attraction as it takes us back to the events in the previous books and lays out a nice foundation for their unusual relationship.
I think Faye did a good job for most part with Xavier and Lola's story. They were hot together, yes, but you also knew there had been an attachment between them that made their relationship believable. This wasn't insta-lust as book #2; on the contrary, this attraction had been brewing for quite some time.
There were a few things I didn't particularly care for like the terms baby girl or daddy which may be some people's cuppa but not personally mine and which I found really added nothing to the story. The chemistry between Xavier and Lola was sexy on it's own that these terms were truly unnecessary.
Also, I wished for Madison to explore other ways to express intimacy between her characters. The terminology is pretty much a copy-cat version of the other two books and only gives the impression of laziness.
Again, this is mindless erotica so don't expect much more than tons of sex, dirty talk and a barely cohesive secondary story line.
Still enjoyed this for what it brings.
Look forward to Cole's and Faith's story!

Daddy Duke by Madison Faye is book Three in the Royally Screwed series. This is Xavier and Lola’s story. I have read each book in the series to date and this book can be a standalone. Xavier has taken over as guardian for Lola when she was a teenager after her father ended up going to jail and then breaking out of jai which left no one for Lola. Now he is fighting his feelings for a 19 year old Lola and he is man 30 years older than her , knowing these feelings are wrong yet he craves her like he craves his next breath. Lola wants him too and finds his mature, sexy manner all she wants and then some. The passions they share are taboo, red-hot and intense. Their relationship was absolutely fabulous. I loved the age difference. It showed that it doesn’t matter what age you are, love trumps all. All I can say is, make sure to keep fans handy and something super cold to drink when done reading. One of the best reads by Ms. Faye!!!

An Awesome Read!
I loved reading Daddy Duke, all about Princess Lola Abington a nineteen year old guardian of Daddy Xavier The Duke of Bandiff. He took the Princess in five years ago when their was a scandal with her own mother & father who just left her to fend for herself. The Duke took pity on her and brought her to live with him in his castle! The author wrote a story about a young girl who caught a raw deal! Read this story and fall in love with The Duke and his princess! Then included in this book are three other stories about young girls each of which have been dealt a raw deal, and need saving! Read about the men who, strong enough to stand up for these young girls and help them out! One of the things I particularly liked about all of the stories included were that they were complete from start to finish! So actual full stories about their everyday lives which makes it so much more fun to read! I hope you give it a shot and read this book!!

Book number 3 in the series!! And I got it Sunday night!!! I was so pumped!! I'll be honest the cover made me go uhh idk.. but i read it anyways..

Lolas father and his ex wife betrayed there king.. wanting to do something very bad (won't give it away) so lolas father left and Xavier wife went to jail.. Xavier let Lola live with him.. 6 years he started to grow feelings for the young girl.. but wont act due to age/he was her father's friend.. and another drama.. is Lola going to get a happy ending or is Xavier going to do what's best and keep his distance?!?

I really loved this book. There was drama and suspense. Sometimes I love reading a story with a much older man and a younger woman. It has to be done right and this one was done right. I will admit that the cover immediately drew me in and then the blurb won me over. This is a hot and quick read about an older man who tries to resist his much younger ward. He took care of her when her father deserted her and then was charged with a horrible crime. Even though he tried to resist her, Xavier couldn't and finally gave into this love and lust for Lola! But when her father and his ex wife come back on to the scene, will they be able to stay together? And will the people of the country understand their unique relationship?

This book was steamy just like all of Madison Faye's books. I liked the insta-alpha love and how despite their age difference, both were sure they wanted the other. I will admit for some their past relationship and their age gap could be a no-no, but I liked it. Good read!

Another amazing read in this series that I absolutely devoured. Xavier & Lola have always wanted each other but something was holding them back until now. Both finally had had enough and give in too their desires. This is another quick sexy read that I absolutely love and I can’t wait to read Cole & Faith’s Story next.
