Dom
My life was simple…
Never lose a fight.
Life has dealt me a shitty hand, but I make the best of it.
All that matters is the payday so I can keep a roof over our head and the bailiffs from our door.
Life is complicated enough, or so I thought.
Chloe is the most attractive woman I have ever laid eyes on. But her name is spelled ‘trouble’ with a capital T.

Chloe
I ran away to get as far from him as I could. I made a new life. A good life.
But his problems found me, and so did an unexpected stranger.
Should I accept his help or just keep running? Should I just ignore this pull I feel towards him?
Keeping his family out of danger should be my priority, so why can't I just pull away?

Eva Jones

Eva Jones' love for the written word started in her early teens when she'd sneak off with her mother's historical romance novels and blossomed from there.

Although she's always dreamed of moving south and starting a horse farm, Eva is an Ohio native who isn't ashamed of her undying love of 90s R&B and going under the tattoo needle excites her.

Her passion for reading led her into this wonderful indie community and landed her the role of personal assistant to one of her favorite indie authors.

When she's not running around after her three little gizmos and one big gremlin, you can find her crafting stories of flawed characters finding love amongst the chaos of life.

3.5 Stars-No Connection

In Fighting for Chloe, Eva Jones gives her readers an action packed, sexy book with some twists and turns.

Dom is a man with a plan, fighting for money to take care of his Nan. He didn't have the best upbringing and everything he is and has now is thanks to Nan, so he can't let her down. Dom is a pretty closed off character, which made it hard to like him. I'm a fan of the gruff, MMA-type, yet a teddy bear when you get to know him, however Chloe wasn't the one to bring that out of him.

Chloe is nothing but trouble as the blurb says and Dom is a freaking saint to put up and do the crap he does for her. Especially since they're essentially strangers. Along with my lack of connection to Dom, I really didn't like Chole or the whirlwind that surrounded her.

The book was entertaining, although choppy and a bit redundant at times. I was having a hard time staying with it and will admit to some slight skimming towards the end.

Chloe was kidnapped by a gypsy who ran an illegal fighting ring. She was told her father had stolen money and she was the collateral for getting it back. Chloe thought the joke was on them because her and her father had been estranged for three years. Little did she know, they didn't care and she was in the middle of something she had no idea how to get out of. She was in London and her dad was in the United States.
Eva Jones and Harper Phoenix show us a worst case scenerio of what can happen to good people when they step in trying to be a good Samaritan. This quickly go down hill. These characters will tug at your heart strings and bring your emotions to the foreground with ease. It's a quick paced story with lots of action and HOT, passionate scenes. There were several characters in this book I hope to see a book follow, just to get their story.

Fighting For Chloe will hook you in from the get-go. So much drama and many things happening! Dom and Chloe meet in some unusual circumstances. Dom is fighting in an underground fighting ring, Chloe is being brought in by owner of the ring. There was a connection from the first glance. Gonna be vague again...Some stuff happens and Dom ends up helping her out by letting her stay at his place. This starts an amazing love affair. These two have so much chemistry!

Dom is a very noble and protective guy. He is taking care of his Nan any way possible. Even if that means he has to dip into illegal fighting to make sure she is ok. The way he cares for his Nan and Chloe make you want to swoon. Chloe starts out as a bit of a whiner for me. I wasn't sure I was going to like her. Then she grew some backbone and I fell in love with her. Yes, she was in a bad situation but at first she was a little whiney about it, later on she starts to show she has grit and determination and makes you proud of her.

Overall, this book is full of plenty of action and drama with some sweet romance thrown in! You won't be able to help falling in love with Dom, Chloe, and Nan!

So this was a difficult one for me to write because I was a little unsure as to how I really felt.
These two authors work very well together and I really did love that there was no difference or 'tell' as to whom wrote what and for me that is always important. The story is written well but for me at times was a little slow. Dom had his moment where he was alpha like but it didn't seem to come across as his personality to always be that way. Chloe was alright, there wasn't anything that I loved or hated about her, making it difficult for me to connect to her.
Having said all of this though, it was a beautiful story about love and the things that we are willing to do for it and those that we love the most. Dom really was the highlight of this story for me but it was because of the love from his Nan and the protective instinct that he had for Chloe right from the beginning that had me coming back for more.
This is my honest and unbiased review.

I really liked story about Dom and Chloe!!! Dom will do anything for his family even if that means participating in illegal cage fighting. He fights to take care of his Nan. He meets Chloe one night while fighting. Their connection was instant and he wasn't able to get her out of his head. Chloe was kidnapped by a man because of her dad. Dom comes to her rescue when he sees her being mishandled by a couple of thugs. He takes her home and takes care of her. Their journey to their HEA is filled with twists and turns and definitely lots of bumps but as always love will find a way to help them through. I really liked their story and I hope to see more from these two authors (hint hint Chloe's father's story lol) I highly recommend this book to everyone....well done!!!!!

All he knew was that she was beautiful and didn't look happy. That look as their eye met across the room. That was all it took. He was a goner. He had no idea helping the beautiful red head would change his life and put everyone he loved in danger. Loss, intrigue and plenty of action rap this steamy story up nicely. Tons of passion tons of action lies and mayhem.

Great stand-alone story from these two authors. I haven't read Ms Jones work before but have read Ms Phoenix the combination of the two is most definitely a win.

The synopsis of Fighting for Chloe had me excited to read it.

Dom is an underground fighter when he meets Chloe. He fights to help his Nan by paying her bills.

Chloe is a woman who needed space from her father only to end up kidnaped because of him.

When Chloe and Dom first lock eyes on each other it’s love at first sight. But, will saving Chloe’s life be more hassle than Dom can handle?

This is the first book I read by this duo and it is told in dual POV.

The pace itself, for me, was a little slow. The action scenes although interesting were stop and go. Action would happen, it would be resolved, or you think it is, only to restart. This happened quite a few times in the book and gave me the feeling that the story didn’t know wether it was coming or going.

The being said, I loved the characters, they were down to earth and cute.

I also found some scenes for Dom were unrealistic for his character. When he “sweeps a room” or he handles a gun. Where did he learn to do this if he is a fighter?

Overall, for me, an ok read.

I received an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Fighting for Chloe will draw you in from the very first page and have you rooting for Dom and Chloe from the time they share their first glance. The story is a great mix of action and emotion with both sweet and steamy romance. There are some darker elements to the story and twists and surprises you won't see coming. Both Chloe and Dom are complex characters with many layers that get revealed as the story progresses. Dom is both a bad boy and a knight in shining armor. He's protective and noble and willing to do anything for those he loves. Chloe is a bit naive and innocent at the start of the book, but by the end she's one tough lady full of determination and not afraid to speak her mind. It is not an easy journey for these two to reach their HEA but one full of ups and downs that shows that anything is possible with a little determination and love.

I think this is the first book these two have collaborated on together, and I thought the story flowed seamlessly. I have read books previously from Harper, but I will definitely look into books Eva has written as well.
I loved Dom and Chloe together. These two were probably never supposed to have met, but after they do come in to each others lives, I couldn't imagine them with anyone else.
Their first meeting was unusual, but I thought it set up the rest of the story beautifully. Their relationship certainly isn't smooth sailing, but I liked how they fought for each other.
Hopefully these two will join forces again, as they written a fantastic story.

Both of these authors are new to me and this collaboration flows seamlessly, I couldn’t differentiate where one was writing. Chloe and Dom were made for each other. There were plenty of bumps in the road to their HEA, they had to fight for each other. I love how each of the characters develop throughout the story. Dom is dark, but turns into a knight in shining armor as the story progresses. Chloe is a bit naïve and innocent at the beginning of the book but that soon changes and she turns into a sassy and feisty woman by the end. I can’t wait for these two to collaborate again, but for now I will be reading them both individually.

Wow!!

What an amazing read...from the go I was hooked, I loved this whole storyline and think I need my own Dom in my life.

Dom and Chloe have an instant attraction from the minute their eyes lock on each other! I loved how Dom was willing to fight for Chloe so much to save her. Some of the twists and turns this book took me on, had me gasping out loud...I never saw some of them coming.

Well written story and one I know everyone will love. Definitely a 5 ⭐️ read!

I received an ARC for an honest opinion. I just loved this story. It grabs you from the beginning and you can’t put it down. Dom and Chloe find Love at First Sight but are caught in a tough situation, when will it be over? I definitely would recommend the book and authors to friends.

Dominic Colton was raised to be a fighter through his father’s actions beginning when he was 9 years old and his bike was broken by a bully. Now he fights in an underground circuit to help support his grandma.
Chloe Richards was taken captive due to a debt that her father owes to Mr. Smith.
When Dom hears Chloe scream one night he rescues her but now finds himself in debt to Mr. Smith who will stop at nothing to prove his point. Will Dom be able to keep Chloe safe when he realizes how much danger he and everyone he cares about is in? Will Chloe’s father help her with what she is going through?
I liked the premise of the book but I found it really did not flow for me. I found at times the dialogue almost felt forced and wasn’t natural and parts felt like fillers.
I liked Chloe and I felt bad for what she was going through. I found it initially odd that she had no clue on why she was taken except that her dad owed Mr. Smith money. She was a good character and didn’t give up.
Dom was great and I really liked his character and his loyalty to those around him. He got himself into a terrible situation with Mr. Smith and trying to protect Chloe and what ended up happening to him was not good at all.
There were a few twists and turns in the book and I did enjoy the addition of Andre but it did make me wonder what kind of things that Chloe’s dad had been into previously. I was totally shocked with the revelation of why Mr. Smith wanted revenge on Chloe’s dad and it did make a little more sense.
I was frustrated with what happened to Nan and Zoe at the hospital and the aftermath of what happened. I understood why but at the same time the book didn’t seem to flow and have the right character reactions that I would have liked.
I did like the premise behind the book and the characters but I struggled with the writing and for me it just didn’t flow properly. - By Rebecca

This is the first book that I've read with Harper and Eva. I really enjoyed it. Had me hooked from the first page.

Meet Dom:
Lets just say that I thought the following things were so easy to me but I was about to be proved wrong.

1. My life was simple…
2. To never lose a fight.
3. I know that life dealt me a very shitty hand, however I believe that I can make the best of a bad situation.
4. I know that the only thing matters to me and my Nan is the payday after a fight so that I can keep a roof over our heads and not have the fear that the bailiffs from our door.
5. I always believed that life was always complicated enough. Well or so I thought.
6. Oh the most gorgeous woman I ever had laid my eyes on was Chloe. However Chloe's name started spelling ‘trouble’ with a huge capital T.

The sweet and terrified Chloe
Hello everyone I want to tell you a little about me.
1. I ran away to get as far from him (otherwise known as my father)as I could. I worked hard and made a new life. I feel like it was a good life.
2. The worst thing was that the person who was supposed to love and protect me let me down; No surprise there and also that meant his problems found me. That also included unexpected stranger.
3. Should I accept this stranger's help or just keep running? I feel that I Should just totally ignore this magnetic pull that I feel towards him?
4. I really want him to keep his family safe and out of danger. That should be my top and only priority. So why can't I just ignore that urge and pull away from him?

Can Dom protect Chloe?
Will Chloe get in contact with her father and get him to pay off the bad guys?
Will Chloe give into her feelings towards Dom and pray that he will keep the bad guys away from her?
Would Dom give up his fighting to help protect Chloe and find happy ever after?
Can Dom and Chloe find true love?

A great story as it's career smashing series so far. Well done Harper & Eva 5* book

Two wonderful writers Eva Jones and Harper Phoenix give us a stand-alone story Fighting For Chloe that is hard and soft at the same time. An action packed yet sexy dark story of an underground fighter and the girl he is determined to save from the first glance!!

Dom will do anything for his family and that includes illegal fighting. It’s there he meets Chloe, a girl there not by her own will. The first look between Dom and Chloe sets the stage for their relationship. The chemistry is there between them and the need to help her is overwhelming yet I did find she played the weak victim at first and it took me a bit to warm up to her. Dom does so much for her and puts his needs behind hers at times. I did however think Chloe became stronger as the story went on and I did enjoy that.

Overall a very well written story that was very full of drama, action and chemistry. I wasn’t as connected to the characters as much as I would have liked but I definitely did enjoy the story. Well done.

Both authors are new to me but after reading this book, I am willing to see their other work.
I really enjoyed this book. At first, I was afraid the story would be to cliché, but then I was really surprised by the twists and how everything turned out so differently that expected but in a very good way!!!!
You think you know it all, and then you discover the truth.
The characters were very well developed. Loved them both together as well as the "side" characters.
This book will keep you on the edge of your sit the whole time.

Fighting For Chloe is a story about survival, friendship, family and love. I loved the characters and felt that Dom and Chloe were just right for each other and I enjoyed watching them evolve throughout the book. Its action packed and it flows effortlessly off the page. There are quite a few twists and turns that you don’t see coming that will have you shouting out loud. A brilliant first collaboration for these two authors.

From Dom's first fight to his strong presence in the cage, he's learned how to protect what's his. He was an awesome guy, someone who lived it rough but had a kind and generous heart. He and Chloe were amazing together, though they had to weather the storm of outside forces throughout the book. I really found this an engaging and thrilling read, and their chemistry was so hot! Wonderfully written!

This book had been on my radar for a little while and I finally took the time to read it. Don't know why I waited so long! I was drawn in from cover to cover. Dom had such a big heart for the ones he really cared about. I loved Chloe and felt bad for her for all she had been through. I felt this was a strong story and I really enjoyed it.
