Chase Fury, the VP of the Savage Kings MC has dealt with his fair share of tragedy over the years. He never wanted the responsibility that comes with being at the head of the table, preferring to leave that to his brother, Torin. But after an unexpected attack on the Kings sends his brothers on a path of vengeance, Chase will have no choice but to take on the burden of being the man in charge.
Reporter Sasha Sheridan has steered clear of any and all bad boy bikers wearing the bearded skull for the last ten years. While investigating a story, she suddenly finds herself back in the cross-hairs of the Savage Kings. Uncovering the secrets that the club’s president is trying to keep hidden may very well put her life in danger. She may be able to handle the threat, but she can’t escape the man who broke her heart.
Chase hasn’t forgiven himself for hurting Sasha and causing her an unbelievable amount of pain. He still wears her name on his chest, a reminder of the night that he wrecked his bike and everything the two of them had together. Now, with secrets, lies, bloodshed, and violence causing chaos in the club, Chase is determined to use his second chance with Sasha to keep her safe. He never imagined that the best way to do that would be to get her as far away from him and the MC as possible.
Lane Hart is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author. She lives in North Carolina with her husband, D.B. West, and their two children. She loves all things beach related, especially sea turtles, and is a huge fan of the Carolina Panthers.
I enjoyed Sasha and Chase’s story. The storyline flowed well and kept me turning the pages. The chemistry between the characters was great and I liked the way they interacted with each other. This book is a good start to a promising series and I can’t wait to see what happens next with Abe’s story.
Chase was the first book in the Savage Kings MC series by Lane Hart and DB West. It was a strong start and I can’t wait to read more.
Chase Fury and Sasha Sheridan were high school sweethearts. They were madly in love and planning a future until one night a tragedy occurred and they spent the next ten years apart.
Chase was the Savage King’s MC Vice President. They were an outlaw club and he wasn’t afraid to get messy. He was loyal. Sasha was a local news reporter. She stayed away from the MC until she had a story that needed researching. Even though Chase broke her heart ten years earlier, she knew he had the answers she needed.
Hart and West took us through the history, break up, the ten year absence and then finally the reunion. It was fast paced, sweet and emotional. The authors also set the stage for the series by introducing each MC member as well as outline a suspenseful MC plot. The plot will remain as the backdrop for the remaining of the series.
In the end, I loved everything about Sasha and Chase. They were strong, gorgeous, tough, and loyal. I also loved the suspenseful story that unfolded. It was captivating, intriguing and complex. It was the perfect start to an MC series. Abe, Chase’s best friend, is next up and I can’t wait to see him fall.
Ten years ago Sasha and Chase were everything to each other. When an accident followed by interference from others separates them they both struggle to move on with their life. Now Chase has brought the spotlight down on himself and Sasha steps in to learn what’s going on.
I enjoyed this story with its gritty motorcycle club edge although not as gritty as some I've read in the past. Sasha and Chase belong together and I was happy to see them work toward their reconciliation. There is plenty of club drama and some extreme emotional moments along the way. This story sets up the storyline that I assume will be running throughout the series.
This is a fast paced read with some extreme steam and interesting characters I can’t wait to get to know better. The angst between the hero and heroine is not high as their own issues works itself out pretty quickly once they talk (yell) it out. I’m definitely going to be keeping my eyes out for the following books!
This writing duet really knows how to write a story that has you on the edge of your seat all the way through the book. There was not a moment in the story that I had any idea what was going to happen next because there was so much suspense within the story leaving me desperate to read the next book in the series.
Sasha was a feisty heroine who knew what she wanted in her life and the person she wanted to spend her life with. I liked the way that she was able to be caring and help out the other female characters within the storey.
Chase was the sexy bearded alpha male character that was the VP to his MC. I found his loyalty to his club and to his president to be very admirable. I enjoy the way that Chase never stops loving Sasha and the way that he continues to protect her.
Chase is the first book in the Savage King MC series and is follows the story of the VP of the MC Chase who is given a second chance with the one woman he loves Sasha.
I really loved this couple together and I found that they had a lot of chemistry between them. There were a lot of twists with this story and there was a lot of emotions that I felt throughout the story. There were times were my heart broke and I had tears in my eyes from some of the events that happen in the story. This is a definite must read for any MC fan.
This was an emotional ride! I usually don't like second-chance books BUT I loved this one! Chase and Sasha's story aimed for the heart! I don't want to reveal more, so I'm just going to say that this one worth reading!
After a minute or two, Sasha clears her throat, warning me that a lie is coming. “If you don’t leave, I’ll call the police.” Since my back is to her, I smile, knowing she can’t see it. “What are you gonna tell them?” I ask without looking at her. “That some asshole broke into your house and started cleaning?”
“I’ll, um,” small throat clearing and stammering, letting me know a doozy is coming. “I’ll tell the police that you killed that guy in the SUV.”
“Who’s ready to ride?” I ask, and the shouts and yells of so many men is nearly deafening. “We leave in two hours, gentlemen. Until then, gas up, eat your fill, load your guns and fuck your women like it’s your last night, because it damn well may be.”
Chase is book 1 in the Savage Kings MC series and my first time reading this author. Unfortunately the story fell flat for me. When the story begins Chase and Sasha are still in High School, dating for about 6 months and are so in love they have decided to elope that night. What happens next changes their course and it's 10 years before they speak to each other again. As I've said before there is a fine line between a situation being resolved to quickly or taking to long for me. Well this one was resolved to quickly. After not speaking for 10 years they scream at each other and find out it was all her parents and boom in bed, in love and back together. Hello communication really helps in every situation. Anyway overall I thought they were a weak MC who spoke like tough guys. I felt the situation with Torin was left unresolved and we have no idea what he did. Also as another reviewer stated I didn't like how there is so much danger around them and after what happened to Kennedy, the ending was super cheezy. Overall I wasn't a fan.
This was a good book. Fast paced, decent plot and some good spicy scenes. However, I found the angst and tension that's normally present in a second chance romance lacking in this one. Everything just felt like go go go. Regardless, I will be continuing with this series - save for Torin's book. I may have spoilt a couple of things for myself for his book and I have no intention of reading a story that I now for sure is gonna piss me tf off. Also poor Kennedy deserved sm better. God bless her soul. Torin was a shitty man and husband imo (based off of this book as well as the spoilers I've read).
OMG, I LOVED this story. Lane brought such a wonderful story to life that I could not put this book down. Chase is a fast passed MC book that brings you right into the heart of Chase and Sasha's relationship. They are younger when they first get together but tragedy strikes and pulls them apart.
10 years later circumstances bring them back together. But pain and history might be too much to get over for them. But while Chase and Sasha are dealing with their feelings there is a horrible drug lord making trouble in their town and Chase, Sasha, the whole MC is in his crosshairs.
This is a must read story! The story does "end" for Chase and Sasha but the main story does not end. I am excited to see what happens next.
What a great introduction to DB. West as well - hello new author whose works I am going to trawl though now!!!!!
I don't need a synopsis! I don't need a cover! I am more than happy to dive in head first into any Lane Hart books and know, with confidence, that I am going to love it! This book was no exception!
I was super super excited to see this new series starting especially after my cocky cage fighter withdrawals now that we have had to say goodbye to the boys!
This was an amazing first book into a new MC Series!
The characters had a heap of depth and from the first page it was interesting and grabbed my attention!
I couldn't recommend it more!
I cannot wait for the next one! I loved the characters and the storyline and was hanging on every word from start to finish!
I am not allowed to give too much away but be prepared to meet your next favourite MC series!
I liked the flow of this book and couldn’t put it down. I wanted to see what was going to happen. But I had issues with it. I know we all have issues
1. Lame reason why they didn’t talk for 10 years. Beyond lame when it could have been resolved.
2. Torrin’s problem. Never explained and no one ever pushed the subject. Even with all the problems that it caused.
3. Throwing your career away because you got back together. She talks about how she liked her job and she was a hard nose reporting going to break the story and then she folded like a napkin after she had sex with Chase.
4. Ending did a 180. We are in the middle of some serious and sad stuff and we end with sweetness and goodness. What the heck. There were way more important stuff to be handled.
Ok read I want to read the next to get answers, but some how I doubt it will happen.
This is the first book in the Savage Kings MC series, co-written by Lane Hart and her husband, D. B. West. I was eager to read an early copy of this book not only because of the collaboration but because it meant returning to a terrific book world Ms. Hart has created in her other series. We're introduced to a whole cast of new characters but also get cameos by some favorites from her other series like Jade and Knox (Out of the Cage) and Kelsey, Nix and Cameron (Playing Dirty).
Chase and Sasha were high school sweethearts and knew they would be together forever. When a drunk driver hits them on Chase's motorcycle, it not only wrecks them physically but destroys everything they had together. Ten years later, circumstances bring them together, and Chase will do anything to make Sasha his. But he has his hands full when the club's biggest enemy rains down chaos on the club and incites the biggest war they’ve ever seen.
No one does smexy like Lane Hart, but there's one scene that bears mentioning. Just a warning, if you don’t like details about the hero with a woman other than the heroine, there’s a scene at the beginning you’ll want to skip. Scenes like this always makes it harder for me to like the hero, and I think this is an instance where it's better for the author to tell rather than show. I don’t need details of the guy I’m supposed to fall for with anyone other than his love interest, no matter if they’re not together and it’s not “cheating.” It ups the “eww “ factor, doesn’t enhance the story, and certainly doesn’t move things forward to the HEA. And truthfully, Hart is such a master at crafting erotic, evocative, steamy scenes that the book is more than complete without it.
That said, settle in and hold on tight because this is one crazy, wild, emotional ride! I loved getting introduced to these characters and was with them every step of the way, furiously turning pages to find out what would happen next. Second chances are one of my favorite tropes and I was so glad to see Sasha and Chase get theirs. The dynamics of the MC relationships fascinated me, and there was plenty of action to keep me glued to the page. You might also want to keep the tissue box handy, because just like real life, there are some devastating lows along with the thrilling highs. “Chase” is an exciting, intense, emotional story with a nice dose of heat and heaps of heart, and I can't wait to find out what happens next with the Savage Kings. Grab this one today so you're ready for the next book, “Abe,” about Chase's best friend and club brother.

First in a new brand series. Super sexy, tug-at-your-heartstrings, second-chance story. Chase and Sasha were in love and ready to take the next step when tragedy struck. Ten years later, Sasha gets involved in the dealings of Chase’s MC and now whether she likes it or not, she’ll have to face the man that broke her heart. Sasha and Chase’s relationship was fire from the start. They were kept apart due to lies and the need to protect a loved one but once their romance rekindled the chemistry was off the charts. Chase was a very loyal, protective alpha, both of his club and Sasha; Sasha was a rich girl with big dreams but she was also smart, intuitive, and caring. I think the way they reconnected and how they reached their HEA was handled perfectly.
The overall plot was gripping and emotional. The twists kept on coming and as a reader it was hard to tell where I was going to land up next. The bond and loyalty the MC members showed provided a genuine sense of camaraderie and true friendship and made me want to read more from each of them. There were some things that bothered me a bit but that was more of a personal preference. For instance, they called the men’s significant others “old ladies.” I didn’t know whether to laugh or cringe at the term. Also, there were times when the women that elected to please the men in a sexual way were denigrated and called names. I don’t know how frequently that happens in an MC story but I didn’t like it. That to me is slut-shaming and it should not be anywhere near a romance book. At least that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
Overall, if you’re looking for a story with well-developed characters, a riveting storyline, emotional scenes, and an uber hot romance, then this is the book for you.
I liked this series starter story about Sasha and Chase. They both were likeable characters. I liked that Sasha accepted Chase and his lifestyle choices fully without any hidden agenda or regrets. She was his perfect match even though she seemed to be a proverbial good girl, but in reality she wasn't meek or weak but a ballsy girl who knew what she wanted and wasn't afraid to take it. I liked that Chase was different with Sasha. His actions spoke louder than words. I also liked how considerate he was towards Sasha's parents even though their well-meaning interference did hurt both of them immensely. He was the epitome of romantic hero in this story. I was devastated about the loss Chase's brother and the whole MC had suffered. I would rather call this a HFN ending because even though Chase and Sasha are happily back together the villain is still on the loose and their tremendous loss isn't avanged nor is the background revealed. Good writing and subplot, a good beginning to an MC series. I will definitely read the next book.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

REVIEW: CHASE is the first instalment in the contemporary, adult SAVAGE KINGS MC erotic, MC, romance series co-authored by Lane Hart and DB West. This is twenty-seven year old Savage Kings vice president Chase Fury, and reporter Sasha Sheridan’s story line. There is a slight cross-over with the author’s PLAYING DIRTY series.
NOTE: Due to the story line content, there may be some triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual first person points of view (Chase and Sasha) CHASE follows the second chance romance between Savage Kings vice president Chase Fury, and reporter Sasha Sheridan. Ten years earlier, high school sweethearts Chase Fury and Sasha Sheridan were the victims of a drunk-driving accident that resulted in months of recovery for our leading heroine but a recovery without the man that she loved. Fast forward to present day wherein a more matured, and hardened Chase Fury must face his past, the woman who blamed him when everything went wrong, but a woman he hasn’t stopped loving for close to ten years. What ensues is the quick, rebuilding relationship between Chase and Sasha, and the fall-out as the Savage Kings MC is targeted by Hector Cruz and the local drug cartel leaving heart breaking death, betrayal and vengeance in its wake.
Sasha Sheridan never knew the truth that destroyed her relationship with Chase Fury. Ten years earlier, facing a long recovery without the man that she loved forced our heroine to move on with her life, a path towards journalism and the respect she deserved. Chase Fury is a sexy, bearded and tattooed biker who has spent the last decade angry at the world but a decade spent growing within the ranks of the Savage Kings MC.
The relationship between Chase and Sasha is one of second chances; a rekindling romance between two people torn apart by secrets and lies but a romance that is quick to restart once the ghosts from the past have been exorcised and pushed aside. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic, and provocative.
We are introduced to a large number of colorful secondary and supporting characters including the members of the Savage Kings MC: Chase’s brother and club president Torin Fury, his wife Kennedy, and their step-sister Jade; Chase’s best friend and right hand man Abe, and his brother, tattoo artist Gabriel; club members Turtle ; MC secretary Sax, treasurer Dalton, tech guy Reece, Sergeant in Arms War, Cooper, Fast Eddie, enforcer Miles, and Sergeant Barnes. A cameo appearance by Kennedy’s sister Kelsey and the two men in her life (Eligible Receivers-Playing Dirty #4) tie the two series together. The requisite evil has many faces including meth kingpin Hector Cruz.
The world building focuses on the rekindling relationship between Chase and Sasha, as well as the friendships, strengths and failings of the Savage Kings MC. There is a war on the horizon; retribution and revenge at the forefront-a battle that will see many more loss of lives.
CHASE is a character driven, dramatic and heart breaking story line of loyalty, misunderstanding, forgiveness, betrayal and revenge. The premise is raw, realistic, gripping and tragic; the romance is compelling and seductive; the characters are sassy, charismatic and spirited.

What one collision tears apart, can another put back together? This was a wonderfully written story filled with love, excitement, rage, vengeance, intrigue, pain and gut wrenching heartbreak. The Savage Kings are the type of MC that looks over it's town. They chase anyone who tries to bring drugs into their town, especially now that there have been deaths related to the ones being brought into it now. Needless to say, one small lesson, one small message sets off a chain of events that will not only bring two people who were so deeply in love a decade ago back into each other's lives, but will end up being the catalyst for the clubs worst heartache.
The characters are deliciously written and very well defined. Chase is green-eyed, bearded VP of the Savage Kings and blood brother of the president (Torin). His past included the love of his life Sasha, his high school sweetheart who he planned to marry the very night that timing, fate, or bad luck stepped in and crushed not only their plans but their lives. Sasha, has been angry with Chase for running away from her after their night was ruined. She has believed all of those years ago that he could not handle the bad times and only was in it for the good times with her. Now, she has found herself back in his life, will she be able to trust that we will have her back this time? Sometimes the secrets that are kept aren't the secrets of the lead characters. Sometimes they belong to others. But we all know that secrets never stay buried and sometimes their truth can heal, and sometimes it can destroy.
This was a completely wonderful read that will capture your attention, your heart and not release you until you reach the end. I cannot wait to read the second book in this series. Do yourself a favor and jump into this one now, you will not regret it. I highly recommend this book!
These two authors have teamed up to bring us a fabulous start to a new MC series. The book gives us a lot of MC action, hot bikers and a wonderful 2nd chance storyline. It’s extremely well written, with highs that will have you smiling and laughing and lows that will have you upset, filled with tears and hurting right along with the club. The characters, both the main and the secondary to this book, are well developed and will make you feel like your right there sharing their lives with them.
Chase and Sasha were high school sweethearts that were torn apart by a cruel twist of fate that is followed up with a lot of lies and misunderstanding. Sasha goes on to college and follows her dreams to become a reporter while Chase joins the Savage Kings MC with his brother and becomes a part of a special brother-hood. But have these two emotionally moved on?
Chase’s brother, Torin, is the President of the Savage Kings. A brotherhood that may go about things a little rough but they do what they must to keep the town, the town’s people and their brotherhood safe. But Torin has been keeping secrets from his wife and the club that start a string of incidents that the club may never recover from. As these incidents start making the news, fate steps in once again bring Chase and Sasha back together (10 years later).
Will 10 year old lies and secrets bring closure to Sasha and Chase? Will Torin’s secrets bring the club to its knees? This is an emotional, tear-jerking read that will have you turning page after page. I can’t recommend this book enough and I am highly looking forward to book 2 and this amazing series going forward. 2 HUGE Thumbs up.
Chase is the first Savage Kings MC book in the series and it was quite an explosion of emotions. A second chance at love and possibly the worst loss that anyone could ever go through, this book takes you on a ride of love, lies and loss.
Chase found his forever girl and he wanted to make her his in every way possible, but when a wreck and a tangled web of lies take it all away, life as they knew it would never be the same. After 10 years apart, they find themselves face to face feeling like no time has passed, they pick up right where they left off. When a horrible tragedy takes someone they all love away, blame starts being thrown around and revenge is on their minds. Can Chase and Sasha finally have their happily ever after or will Chase ruin it to protect the woman he loves.
Chase is a broody, dominant, loving Alpha male. He loves forever and when it comes to his brothers he is loyal to a T. Sasha is a strong woman who has been through hell, she kept her head held high and went after her dreams, if she wasn’t having Chase by her side then she would fight for everything else she ever wished for.
Chase and Sasha had explosive chemistry from the first page, after 10 years apart they haven’t skipped a beat, nothing compares to your first love.
Lane absolutely smashed this MC book out of the park, she brought in so much emotion that left me feeling like I had just been on a rollercoaster. Lane brought Chase to life on the pages and gave us our fill of bad boy / swoon worthy guy, with both Chase and Sasha telling us their stories you felt the love and connection between them.
This was my first Lane Hart book and as a lover of MC series, this is one that I can’t wait to see what happens. I personally loved the book and felt all the emotions that the characters were going through, leaving me not wanting to put the book down and reaching for tissues. I cannot wait for the 2nd instalment of this series with Chase’s best friend, Abe.
Ten Years. That's what separated the young lovers. That and a lot of pain--physical and emotional. Could danger bring them back together?
Sasha is doing what she wanted. She's reporting the news. Locally. It would be great to work in a bigger city. He has moved up to VP of the Savage Kings. Romance wise neither has really moved on. Chase feels guilty and she is angry after the serious accident that separated them. Neither knows the full story.
When trouble at the MC brings them together, Chase has some heavy stuff to deal with to keep loyalty to both. He never stopped loving her but felt the guilt over the accident. New information puts light on their history. Can it overcome the years and pain?
This is a good start to the series. The author pulls at all of the emotions of the reader. Bring tissues. You'll find humor, steam, pain, anger, and most of all the loyalty of family whether blood or not. The characters are memorable and beg for their own stories. I will certainly be ready for more--soon, please. Reviewed for Words Turn Me On
An MC romance with HEART and a rider who understands ROMANCE! A MUST-READ! First, this is one of those easily read but difficult to put down romances. The story is character driven, has a complex and compelling plot and has at least two more stand-alone novels in the series (happy dance!). Second, going to admit right here and right now, I have fallen in love with Chase Fury! That man, the hero of “CHASE” by Lane Hard and DB West, grabbed my heart with his never-ending passion for Sasha and his drive to be the better man. How many guys you know are willing to kill for you? Stop smoking for you? Move to a new place for you? Or keep his heart longing for you for TEN long years, all FOR YOU? Wow, that would be an incredible devotion, and those might just be what Chase is willing to do / must do, to have a life with Sasha . . . But then you will have to read this BRILLIANT MC romance to find out just what Chase has to do to make up for the last ten years of pain and separation from/for Sasha! The journey is never easy, but with two souls longing for the other – nothing is impossible. Maybe, that future together they envisioned TEN years ago could come true. But like I said, you’ll have to pick up your copy of “CHASE” to find out. I received an ARC copy of “CHASE” to prepare this honest voluntary review, and plan to purchase and/or review the next two MC novels in the series! “CHASE” has earned a five-plus star rating from this reviewer and a STRONGLY RECOMMENDED for anyone who likes their romance full of MC life, strong heroines, stronger alpha males, suspense and STEAMY scenes, then “CHASE” is your next summer read! Purchase your copy of “CHASE”, TODAY! Happy pages! 😉
Chase by Lane Hart and D.B. West a five-star read you will want to hunt down. This is the first book in the Savage Kings MC series and what a start, ooohhh it gives you all the feels, Lane Hart could do no wrong in my eyes but by bringing her man D.B. West into the mix, she has just made it that much hotter. (I just keep imagining them in bed discussing where to go next) (but that’s just my crazy misery style brain at work) I am a big fan of the bad boy and there are many I wouldn’t kick out of bed for much, but Chase Fury may just be the one to kick the others out. If I were ever lucky enough to get him in, as even though its been a number of years there is still a Sasha Sheridan shaped hole that he isn’t keen on filling with any replicas. This story is filled with drama and passion, and the heat will melt the pages. But as always there is a great plot line running through the story and a depth that will bring tears to your eyes. Each member of the Savage Kings has a story to tell, and Chase was the first, I am eagerly awaiting who we will hear from next as I have a feeling the more we get to know the boys the more we will fall in love with each of them. (I surprised myself by even liking the club ladies, I am hoping we will see more from a certain red head, but alas that’s just me)
I am such a huge MC fan and let me say that Lane and DB did not let me down. Get ready for Chase and Sasha . This is going to be a wild, emotional ride. Everything that I love in a MC book was delivered on these pages. It is filled with hope, romance, naughtiness , mystery , and oh yes drama and rivalry! So much packed into this one!!! ~~Michele McMullen~~
Second chances doesn't always have a best way of coming about but I enjoyed the way this came about. The MC has had a rough time getting things done even with the loss of loved ones but when it's meant to be there's nothing that can change your mind.
Honestly this is a sensational book. I have read quite a few MC books and some can get a little similar but this definitely isn't in that category.
Chase and Sasha were high school sweethearts until a serious bike accident separated them. Ten years passed and they meet up again, Chase Fury is the VP of the Savage King's MC and Sasha Sheridan is a news reporter for a local station.
The characters are all varied but so interesting p. The main thing is that they are real, they own their issues. Yes there is some violence but not for undue reasons, the same for intimacy.
I will admit that I did shed a few tears in places, oh boy what a roller coaster of emotions. I can truly say that at one point I was trying to grasp what had happened and justify it in my head, I wasn't so keen on these authors then! 😂😂
The mystery involved is something that has you guessing about little things and I suspect this will continue in the series! Well played.
I look forward to the next book about Abe, now he's an intriguing character too!
Ten years ago, Chase was a prospect for the Savage Kings MC and had the most amazing girlfriend, Sasha. Having commemorated their love for each other by tattooing each other's names on themselves, they impulsively decide to seal their forever love by flying to Vegas to get married. But fate intervenes when a drunk driver smashes into Chase's motorcycle before they can get to the airport. Seriously injured, Sasha waits and waits for Chase to visit her, but that's the last time she sees him. Until NOW.
Although sad and embittered by the callous way Chase abandoned her in her time of need, Sasha had managed to make something of herself. Completing college, then landing an on-air reporting job, Sasha is the epitome of beauty and brains. But when she reports the fatal traffic incident of a tattooed, bearded MC member shooting up an SUV, little did she suspect that she'd be getting a visit from the very man who left her broken in the hospital.
No spoilers, but this story is absolutely action-packed, sexy and emotional.
I liked it, but didn’t love it as much as I wanted to. I’m giving it 3 out of 5 stars. This review is for an ARC, and reflects my honest opinion.
This was another dual POV book. I think the voices were definitely unique enough that I enjoyed seeing both sides of the story. I liked Sasha for the most part, but I couldn’t really relate to her. I did like Chase too, but I’m not adding him to my book boyfriend list. He seemed like a “good” bad boy, just not my type.
I liked Abe, Torin, and several other MC members. There were definitely some intense moments in this book. I won’t say what happened; you’ll have to read to see for yourself. I laughed at least a couple times while reading, but it’s not a funny book by any means. It falls on the more serious/dramatic spectrum.
The epilogue was cute! I was expecting it, along with other things that happened in the book. Nothing really surprised me, although there were definitely some “twists”. I will say that I was a little annoyed with how Sasha dealt with her family, and leave it at that.
If you like motorcycle romances, you’d probably enjoy this one. Just be forewarned that some of the sex scenes are over the top, and the beginning was kind of slow. I can’t wait for the next book in this series!
Really a 3.5 for me for the story of Chase and Sasha. For tough, violent, protective bikers, a lot of stuff the bad guys do gets done when they should have been able to stop it. I usually round up but not today for some reason. Maybe I will revisit when the second book in the series is out.
Let me just say that this day couldn't have come sooner... I was dreaming about it since the moment the author told me she was thinking about writing it... And guess what? It's here... The book it's here and I couldn't start it fast enough. This new book is written by two author's and that can be tricky... Buy Lane Hart and D. B. Know what they are doing. I've been following Lane's career for a few years and it's always a pleasure to read a new book from her. Each story is unique and special with a touch of hotness into the mix. Just the way I like it. D. B. Is a new author to me and let's just say that I really enjoyed what I've read. Chase is their latest release and it's the first book from the Savage Kings MC series... Did you get that last past? MC! Does this ring any bells?? Hell yeah... Another one... I'm so happy... This book explores the lifes of Chase and Sasha. Let me just say that the prologue killed me... Dayum... Chase always wanted to belong to the Savage Kings MC and now he's their VP. He lost the love of his life 10 years ago and after that he become a mean motherf.... He's used to do things his way and when a few guys threaten his brother he took matters to his own hands and now... Sasha is a journalist, a job that she always dreamed of having since she was a kid. She dreamed of traveling the world but there is one thing making her stay. What was this??? What a book!! What a story!! What a journey. Dayum I knew that these author's would do an amazing job and I can shout to everyone that I loved it... I loved it... And I want more... Of course I want more... Terrific plot, super engaging and intense, fill of suspense and unknown. Each chapter glued me even more into the book that I couldn't put it down. I needed to keep reading and see what the hell was happening. The interation between the characters is beautiful, real, raw and despite the ups and downs you can see the bond they share. This book presented us with love, friendship, family, loyalty as well as heartache, crime, revenge and evilness. I'm still shaking from the intensity of it and thinking that this was only the first book... Oh boy... There were parts of the story that I wanted to slap someone, jeez, but there were others that melted my heart. I've laughed, cried, cursed and now I'm begging for more. Lanw and D. B you have some answers to give me... How can this book end like this? I want the next one... I want to keep following Chase and Sasha but I want to find out more about his MC brothers. When will that be? Please soon... I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Chase is the VP of the Savage Kings MC and his club and brothers mean everything to him. When Chase runs into a bit of trouble it brings his club to the attention of reporter Sasha, who also happens to be his ex and the one woman he’s never gotten over. With his brother and president Torin in danger, Chase not only has to step up and be what his club needs him to be but he’s also determined to keep Sasha safe.
I really liked Chase and Sasha’s story. I love a second chance romance and this was everything I was hoping it would be. Sasha and especially Chase are very easy to like but it was Torin that has me completely obsessed and intrigued. I can’t wait to find out more about him and the secrets he’s been keeping.
Chase is a great start to the new Savage Kings MC series and introduces us to the rest of the brothers. Chases best friend Abes story is next and I already know I’m going to adore him. I can’t wait for more from this series.
