For years, my family was on top. Ruthless. Respected. Feared.
That all changed with the death of my father. As I moved into the position of power over the Corsino empire, enemies to the family tried to take over my city. They thought I would be weakened by my loss. They don’t know me.
My name is Dominic Corsino, and I have a ravenous appetite for money, power, and women. The last of which I pushed aside when Faith Hilliard, a close family friend, turned up in need of help. I’ve always wanted her, yet couldn’t bring myself to involve her in the dark savagery of my world. Now, she’s within my grasp once more. If I didn’t fear her running from my brutal truth, I would have already tasted her sweet temptation.
But the time for hesitation passes when a fighter in my underground ring is murdered. With my family name at stake, I can no longer hide who I am and what I’m capable of. It’s all coming down to a one winner-takes-all match. If I walk away with the prize, the threats against the Corsinos will be crushed. If I lose, our entire empire will crumble.

REVIEW: 4.25 stars—DANGEROUS GAME by LP Dover is a contemporary, adult, romantic suspense story in the author’s Armed and Dangerous series crossing over with her Circle of Justice. This is New York Mafia boss Dominic Corsino, and twenty-nine year old, attorney Faith Hilliard’s story line. DANGEROUS GAME can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines (in both series) is revealed where necessary. Dominic is Layla Corsino’s brother (In the Crossfire).
Told from dual first person perspectives (Faith and Dominic) DANGEROUS GAME follows in the aftermath of Faith’s discovery that her husband and fellow attorney was having an affair. When it became apparent that her ex-husband made prior plans to take everything and more, Faith found herself under the protection of Mafia boss Dominic Corsino, a man who has been in love with Faith for close to ten years. But all is not well in Dominic’s world, and the recent death of his father left a gaping hole for control in the underworld, a world from which Dominic was hoping to get out. What ensues is the building relationship and romance between Faith and Dominic, and the fall-out as Faith is targeted when a rival mob boss wars for control.
Dominic Corsino is a reluctant Mafia boss having assumed his position with the death of his father but trying to go legitimate is much harder than expected especially when threats against Faith pull Dominic further into the lifestyle he was hoping to avoid. Faith Hilliard knows all about Dominic’s world. Best friends with his sister Layla, Faith is well aware of Dominic’s lifestyle, a lifestyle of which she is about to be exposed.
The relationship between Faith and Dominic is a friends to lovers romance, one in which our hero has been in love with Faith for a very long time. Faith has been unaware of Dom’s attraction but is willing to enter into a relationship within days of discovering her husband’s affairs. Dominic is desperate to protect the woman with whom he is in love but our heroine oft-times makes it difficult when her TSTL (too stupid to live) actions place herself and everyone else in danger. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense.
There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters from both the Armed and Dangerous, and Circle of Justice series including Faith’s best friend, and FBI agent Reed Chandler, as well as Layla Corsino and her husband ( and Reed’s brother) Bryce Chandler; Dominic’s uncle Marco, and his son Luca; bodyguard Isaiah; Micah Perry; Connor MacCabe; underground fighters Taylor Benning, and Darius McKinney; mobsters Cadoc and his son William Cartwright.
DANGEROUS GAME is a story of family, betrayal, vengeance and death; a story of power and control; of romance and love. The premise is engaging and captivating; the characters are colorful, energetic and dynamic; the romance is seductive and consuming. DANGEROUS GAME is a fast paced and animated addition to the author’s series.
Although is not strictly necessary, I recommend that before reading this book you read “in the crossfire”, there you can get to know the characters in this book better. Dominic Corsino after his father’s death want to leave his father’s business behind, but without losing the power he has in the city. The other families think he is weakened, but soon he will prove them wrong. To begin with, he transforms his father’s casino into an arena where fights will take place. Years ago Dominic fought on the Dark Side, the illegal fighting circuit( mentioned in the Gloves Off series), so now he wants to start this business, but the fights will have rules and will not be to death. But after the death of his father and the detention of his uncles, his numbers are low, so he asks for help from the husband of his sister Layla, Bryce Chandler( assassin, FBI agent and member of the COJ). Bryce calls Connor, Micah and his brother Reed to help him( all these characters appear in other books by this author). Faith, Layla’s best friend faces her divorce after catching her husband fucking on his desk the new lawyer on their firm, lawyer that she herself hired. Her husband wins the house and the firm after he made her sign some papers months before without telling her what they were for. Without money and homeless Layla and Dominic offer her a room in Dominic’s hotel, meanwhile Layla and her husband will investigate how to return everything she has lost. Dominic has always been attracted to her but has never taken things further bc he didn’t want to involve her in the gangster life that he led when his father lived. But now he is not going to wait any longer and as soon as he can he makes his intentions clear to Faith. Dominic will have as his main enemies the Cartwright ( the same family that tried to harm his sister in the past) who will do whatever it takes to take everything from him, including Faith. He will have to shed his own blood to defend the honor of his family and protect the love of his life.
“Hiring you as an assistant was just to get close to you.” Her grin faded and a look of uncertainty filled her eyes. “Why?” Tension filled the air and it felt like an electric spark had just ignited between us. I stepped toward her, my body right up against hers. “For the past ten years you’ve been untouchable for me. My sister didn’t want you to be a part of our world. Not that I can blame her, but things are different now. I’m trying to do things right.” It was a lie, but I had her in my grasp … and I wanted her. I lifted a hand to her cheek and she sucked in a breath. “I’ve always wanted you, Faith. Now that you’re free I see it as a chance.” She opened her mouth to speak, but I clasped her face in my hands and kissed her.
“I take it you and Dominic are together now?” he asked, his eyes searching mine. I blew out a sigh. “We are. Does it bother you?” His jaw clenched, but he shook his head and smiled. “I knew it was bound to happen. Has he said anything about me?” Sheepishly, I nodded. “Maybe a little. Just do me a favor and don’t piss him off. I really need you to stay, Reed. It may be selfish of me, but I want you here.” He twirled me around the dance floor, and it made me laugh. Reed sighed. “As long as he keeps it that way, I’ll be fine. The second Corsino steps out of line, I’m coming straight to you. I don’t want you getting caught up.”
“I don’t have to know it all. But what I do know is that I love you. Behind that hardcore mafia boss exterior, you’re kind, respectful, and gentle with me. It’s hard to find that these days.” Her lips pulled back into a smile. “Although I do have to say that I’ve seen a side of you the past couple of days that I’ve never seen before.”She was smart, funny, adventurous, and extremely tough for a female. The only thing about loving hard was falling hard when you lost it. “Why are you looking at me like that?” she asked quietly. I cupped her cheeks. “Because you’re everything I’ve always wanted, and now that I have you, I’m so afraid of losing you.” She placed her hands over mine. “You won’t. I’m not afraid of your world, Dominic.” Lifting up on her toes, she kissed me. “We’re in this together.”
“I challenge the Corsino family to a fight. Winner takes all.” “All of what?” I growled. Cadoc stood and spread his arms wide. “Everything. I want the power, the money, the hotel … you name it. It’s time for the Cartwrights to take over.”Our pride, our name, and our legacy were what made the Corsinos lethal. I wasn’t about to let the Cartwrights take it away. We were going to win. One way or another, I’d make sure that happened.
Dangerous Game by LP Dover is kind of an anti-mafia read. Dominic takes over as the head of his family, but he wants out of "the family business". Faith is Dominic's sister's best friend and she is in the middle of a divorce. She stays with Dominic while dealing with the ugliness of her breakup. There is plenty of angst from Faith's marriage dissolving and Dominic's attempts to steer the family 'straight'.
I appreciated that there wasn't much angst between Faith and Dominic. There was always attraction, but she was married. Now that she is back on the market, Dominic doesn't waste time. I appreciated that. There was plenty of other angst and danger to keep the story moving forward. I adored Faith! She was such a great heroine. She isn't a shrinking violet but she isn't blind to her mistakes either. Faith is honest about who she is and I found that was really refreshing.
Dangerous Games does have a bit of a crossover from the Armed and Dangerous & Circle of Justice series and I love when authors do that. If you haven't read that series, I recommend it. I did feel that the suspense/danger of Dangerous Game was probably more intense that the previous stories which worked great for me! I enjoyed the characters and the story, but I still felt like it wasn't anything really 'new' in the genre. While that won't detract from readers who love the genre and trope, some readers might find it trite.
Trope: mafia, Best Friend's brother Triggers: none Series/Standalone: stand alone (you don't need to read the crossover books to enjoy this one) Cliffhanger: HEA:
The Eagle Elite series by Rachel Van Dyken, Fallen Princess by Chantal Fernando, ...then you will probably like TITLE OF BOOK!
I have read a couple books by L.P. Dover, but they were her lighter and funner side. I was excited to read this other side to her writing. I am a sucker for a romantic suspense story.
This book hit the mark!!! I loved this story.
I know it says that it is a crossover between her Armed & Dangerous and Circle of Justice series, but I will say this, I haven’t read any of the books from those two series and I wasn’t lost or felt like I was missing anything while reading this book. L.P. Dover does an amazing job filling in all the gaps and information so you know where Dominic’s story comes into play. What this book has done for me though, is I am now going to go back and read all the books in these two series!!!
Dangerous Game is the first standalone novel in L.P. Dover’s crossover series. It is told in Dual POV and will have you sitting on the edge of your seat. I loved the suspense aspect of this story. I love when a story can keep me guessing throughout the story. I was so intrigued with this story. I could go on and on about this book, but I don’t want to spoil any of the story for other readers.
This book is about Dominic and Faith. Dominic is Layla’s brother (Layla is from the Circle of Justice series) and is now taking over his families empire, but he is determined to do it the right way. Faith is also Layla’s best friend and the object of Dominic’s affection. Dom has been in love with Faith for years but the timing has never been right, but now the stars have aligned….can they get their HEA?? I loved both Dominic and Faith’s character. Dominic is a strong Alpha type Hero and he needs a strong heroine to be by his side and I thought Faith was the perfect fit for him. She was one of the strongest heroines I have read in a while. This is a couple you will want to meet.
This book was the perfect mix of suspense, mafia and sports romance. This story brought two things together….mafia and MMA.
I would recommend this book to all fans of L.P. Dover and anyone who loves a romantic suspense mafia story. If you liked to be glued to the pages and love writing that will sweep you up into this world, then this is the book to read.
I know I am looking forward to reading the other books in this series.
My name is Dominic Corsino, and I have a ravenous appetite for money, power, and women.
I'm a little bit disappointed, I went into this book looking for a Mafia boss, I love those types of reads, but Dominic wasn't at all how I expected. Dominic is a Mafia boss, yes, and following his father's death he has taken over as head of the family, however, he wants out, he is nowhere near the ruthless leader his father was and this story is about protecting his family name, doing things right, staying within the law.
It was a good story that didn't lack angst or drama.
Faith is the best friend of Dominic's sister, recently separated from her cheating husband and has her own battles to fight. Dominic puts Faith up in his home while she is fighting for what she is owed from her husband having been left with nothing.
Faith and Dominic have always been attracted to each other but of course Faith was married and now she is free Dominic makes his move, he basically sweeps her off her feet, there is no fight there at all and together as the story progresses they help each other fight the battles they are both facing.
There's angst, danger and some interesting characters. It was a good read but didn't blow me away.
Dominic is now the head of the family since his father ended his life. That also includes the family business which happens to be mafia. Being on top while trying to run a legitimate business isn’t as easy as he plans it to be especially with the other families gunning for his spot.
Faith is a gorgeous lawyer who is going through a messy divorce after her lawyer husband cheats on her and also tricks her into signing away all rights to everything. Left homeless and nothing to her name she takes help from her best friend and stays in her old suite in the mansion.
Dominic has always had a thing for Faith and she has always had a thing for Dominic. Faith just kept it hidden. Dominic makes it known fast what he wants and Faith doesn’t deny him. Their romance happens fast and he is determined to keep her safe and all his, any means necessary.
From every angle, Dominic came up with a way to keep his women safe, his business legal and his enemies away. The twists had me flipping the page faster.
The crossover event of the year! This is a crossover of Armed and Dangerous & Circle of Justice series. After the death of his father, Dominic Corsino, becomes the head of the Corsino Empire. He is a a better man than his ruthless father but he is still the Boss. When an old family friend, Faith Hilliard, needs his help he decides the one he always wanted but couldn’t have is finally in his grasp. Can he protect her while trying turn a once corrupt empire into a better one? He’ll do anything to keep her safe but is that enough? Dominic is Layla, from the circle of Justice series, brother and might just get some help with his empire from some very familiar faces. The was a very well written romantic suspense, mafia/fighter crossover novel. I loved every minute of this book and all the cameos. Dominic is such a strong male and Faith is the perfect counterpart for him. Fighting and Mafia never looked so good! Told in dual POV
Dangerous Game was a continuation of "In the Crossfire", if you wanted to know more about Layla's brother Dominic and Bestfriend Faith then this is the book for you. I liked the book because I always love when authors give you the stories of secondary characters from her previous books. I would have wished that L.P. would have taken her time developing Faith and Dominic's romance or maybe did a little past and present action because I just felt that their story was rushed, it was a whirlwind romance. In this book we really get more of the evil Cartwright and I must say that L.P. really created a villainous character worth hating. I am interested to see what L.P. has in store for Reed, Connor, and Micah....I'm really hoping that she writes a book about Micah...there is just something about that character
Another great read by this author. We met Dominic in his sister Layla's book. He recently ousted his father as head of the family and the other mafia families are not so thrilled with his new less blood thirsty methods.
Faith is Layla's best friend and her and Dominic have known each other for years. Layla is helping Faith with her divorce and decides to offer her old suite to Faith while she regroups. Dominic has always liked her but never acted on it. There is some great banter back and forth between the two. A bit of should I or shouldn't I. Once they declare their feelings things escalate quickly.
Lots of action in this one. Mafia, MMA, Circle of Justice and FBI all get in on it. Loved the wrap up of the story. So glad these two got their HEA! Looking forward to reading about the next couple to fall in love.

5 DOM STARS!! I have been waiting for this book and it was worth the wait. Dominic and Faith have had a connection for several years. Their story has all the feels with lots of suspense to keep you flipping pages. I can't wait for the next book....I love Reed.
I'm not especially fond of Mafia Romance books, preferring to spend the time that I can read on more pleasant stories. However, I have read many of the author's other books, particularly the Second Chance series, to be willing to give this book a shot.
The storyline about the Mafia heir, Dominic Corsino, wanting to clean up his father's mess and creating something else is appealing as is his love interest, his little sister's best friend, Faith Hilliard. Ten years ago, I would have thought the idea of a family of FBI assassins as ludicrous, but after the shenanigans of some FBI agents over the last few years, maybe not. The story is an action packed page turner. I still don't care for the genre, but L P Dover, is the exception.
I read an ARC provided by NetGalley.com. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
I want to start off by saying shockingly enough this is a new author for me. I know, I know I have been living under a rock or something surely because this book was FANTASTIC!!! I was so drawn in from page one and just could not put it down. I don't read mafia books. They just aren't my thing however if every mafia book was like this one I would be first in line to get it. I fell in love with Dominic right off the bat and Faith was just the sweet but fiery heroine for this hero. The author could not have made them any better. You can bet I will be looking this author up and reading many more of her books. Can't wait for Reid's book!!
4 Stars Review by Alysia Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog
Dangerous Game by LP Dover was a great book. It had been a while since I had read one of hers, so when they start mentioning brothers and sisters, it took me a minute to place them. But, I always love when a story brings up the past characters, and they actually play a part in the current book.
Faith is going through a divorce from her sleaze of a husband. He tricks her into signing everything that she should receive in the settlement to him. She is then forced to move out of their condo and move into the hotel where her lawyer, and best friend, Layla, used to live with her brother Dominic.
Layla tells her to stay as long as she wants, and not to worry until she gets back on her feet. The thing is, she has had feelings for Dominic since they were kids. Layla wouldn't let them do anything about it because Layla and Dominic's father was the leader of the main Mob family in New York. At that time, Faith didn't know anything that went on with the mob family.
Now that his father is dead, Dominic has taken over and is trying to make all of their business actions legal. Once Faith moves into the suite next to his, he finds it hard to keep his hands off her, but for her protection from his enemies, he feels he must leave her out of all the business dealings.
Will they follow their hearts and be with each other? Or will his family dealings get in the way?
***ARC received in exchange for an honest review.***
I don’t know how she does it, but this story is even better then Layla's (which I loved so much!). Dominic is Layla's brother and Faith is her best friend. You don’t have to have read Layla's story though - this one can be read all on its own. I just wanted to give you a little background. This is why these two are able to jump into everything so quick - they already have a solid foundation of friendship/
Faith is in the process of getting divorced from her cheating husband when she gets some news that even her lawyer, Layla, can't protect her from. Next thing you know, she is living in Dominic's hotel. Dominic has always been attracted to Faith and has always wanted her. And now's his chance. Maybe?!?! Hopefully?!?!? Guess you will need to read this one to find out. Fingers crossed for Dominic, right???
These two have amazing chemistry! And I will admit, I thought this would be your typical mafia man and innocent woman story. And I would have been okay with that since I love them. But this one had a little something special. Something I wasn’t anticipating. Something I am not telling you about. I highly recommend you try this one out! You will not be disappointed! This is a great story to start off with if you are new to L.P. Dover.
What a great start to a new series! I really enjoyed this story. I have not read either of the other series that come together to make this one, but that did not spoil it for me. It was a real page-turner. It was well written, everything and everyone just seemed to gel.
The characters were great, I felt like I'd known them for a while even though I've just met them. Dominic Corsino, the main male character, has recently become the head of the Corsino Empire, following the death of his father and he wants things to change but this isn't easy. Like the title of the book says Dangerous Game!
Then there is Faith, she has been best friends with Dominic's sister for years so she is aware of some of the goings-on in the Corsino family. Newly single and in need of help she and Dominic soon become a couple, this happens very quickly but it felt just right, it wasn't too fast. I love Faith she is a force to be reckoned with that's for sure.
This was a fast, action-packed story, I will admit I kind of expected more of a Mafia dark side to it and it was fairly tame, which wasn't a bad thing. I am very much looking forward to the next book in the series, I will be definitely one-clicking it.
I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, murder, secrets, suspense, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first: No Limit (Armed & Dangerous #1) Roped In (Armed & Dangerous #2) High-Sided (Armed & Dangerous #3) Hidden Betrayals (Armed & Dangerous, #4)
This is Faith and Dominic’s story. Dominic has been in love with Faith for years but he has that love locked down. His world could destroy her and he wants her safe. But things changed and he wants out so they grow closer and just might be able to have that relationship that is into her life is threatened. He knows he will protect her at any cost but really how much is it going to cost him? Will he lose her in the end no matter what he does to save her? Can he let her go? Or will he fight to have her forever?
I loved these characters and also the side characters. I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

One of the things I enjoy about Dover's writing style is her strong female leads and her balanced alpha males. There is a certain flow to her stories that truly captivates me as a reader. The suspense is like a tight rope - a careful balance from beginning to end - Her characters are always so vibrant and easy to connect with.
Dominic is all Alpha - growly, short-tempered and well built(?) Yet he also had the ability to step back and analyze the situation- think with logic not emotion - not that he always made the smartest choices... When he wants something he gets it. Faith - what can I say? At times I swear she was living in a bubble crafted by her wildly vivid imagination - a sort of protection from reality . (Enough with the T.V. Faith) I liked her backbone and her heart. I may not have agreed with all her decisions but they worked for her (most of the time) and only accented her more carefree personality.
The chemistry between these two was hot! They fit - she was the yin to his yang. I am looking forward to the next in series
Dominic has been groomed since a young age to take over the Corsino business and he knew what that would entail and the danger it would put those closest to him in. It is for that reason that even though he was attracted to his sister’s best friend Faith that he never crossed the line but now that his father has passed away it becomes a game changer.
Faith never thought that Dominic would ever see her as more than his friend’s sister so she moved on with her life, but a bad decision has Dominic watching over her while she sorts out the mess her life has become.
I enjoyed watching the relationship between Dominic and Faith develop. Although he was the head of a mafia family when it came to Faith that was not the man he was while Faith is strong and fiery. The chemistry between them was intense with just enough suspense and emotion to have you invested in the characters and their happy ever after.
I’ve been waiting for Dominic’s story and omg I wasn’t disappointed at all. After Dominic’s father death, Dom is now the head of the Corsino family and has everything he always wanted, money and power but what he wants most is Faith. The time was never right but now that Faith is single and Dominic will do anything to make her his. This book had amazing characters and I absolutely love the crossover between the An Armed & Dangerous/ Circle of Justice series. This book will definitely have you hooked. I can’t wait too read Reed’s story next.
I voluntarily reviewed this Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Dominic Corsino is the best male charterer EVER!!! and Faith was his perfect match. I loved how he wanted to take his family and make things much better then it was while his father was alive. But of course it's the mafia things cant go the way he wanted. Especially when the Cartwrights are involved......I loved that LP took her best 2 series and blended them together.
Love the way Dom and Faith's story is blended with several characters from past books. Nothing you would notice if you hadn't read the others, as this is a standalone book. Kept me holding my breath a lot. Pick you up a copy and check it out.
L.P. Dover has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Faith and Dominic. Dominic is now the head of the Corsins Empire and the other crime families are wanting to take him down. Dominic has plans to show the other families that he is not one to be messed with. Dominic calls Bryce, his brother-in-law, and asks for help. Bryce tells him that he and Dominic's sister Layla are in town and he would be there in a little while. Dominic wants to know what is going on and Bryce tells him that Layla is in court with Faith for her divorce hearing. Things for Faith don't go well since her husband Philip tricked her into signing all her rights away to everything. Now she has nothing. Layla tells her that she is taking her to their hotel and putting her up and for her to stay as long as she needs to. When Dominic finds out what Philip has done to Faith, he gets upset since he has has feelings for her for a while. He wants to keep her close to him now. Faith has to go and get her things out of the Condo and since Philip didn't tell her what to get, Dominic sends over a moving company to empty out the place and put it in storage until it can be sold. He goes with Faith to her office to make sure that Philip doesn't mess with her. When they get back to the Hotel, Dominic tells Faith that she has an appointment with the spa the next day and asked her if she would like to be his date for an event that he has to attend. She tells him that she would. Layla calls Faith and tells her that she found something that will get Philip into a lot of trouble and it is that he lied to the judge when asked about the papers Faith signed. When Philip is contacted about this, he is mad and he goes after Faith. Dominic is there to keep him from hurting Faith. At the gala event, Codoc comes up to Dominic and talks to him. Codoc noticed how Dominic was with Faith and he knows his way to get to Dominic. Dominic tells Faith that he has something to do and they need to leave the event. When they get back to the hotel, Faith sees an old friend from college. The friend is Sam and he has business at the hotel. They talk for a few minutes and Sam gets a call from Codoc and tells him about a party that is being held at the hotel and invites him to it. Codos tells him after he is told he is with a friend that he can bring them. When Sam and Faith get to where they need to go, she knows something is not right and she calls Layla and tells her about what is going on. When they get inside, Faith is hurt that Dominic didn't tell her what was going on. Dominic sees Faith and she tries to get out before he gets to her. She goes up to her room and Dominic comes up and talks to her. They have a talk and he lets her know how he feels about her. She tells him that she feels the same for him. Will Faith and Dominic have the life they want, or will something happen to keep them from being together? This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

L.P. Dover did such a fantastic job with Dangerous Game,
I thank the publisher and Netgalley for allowing me to read Dangerous Game in exchange for a review.
I haven't read the series connected to Dangerous Game since this is my first introduction to L. P. Dover as a writer and her worlds. I'm pretty happy with the book.

Dominic is now the head of the Corsino family. After his father's suicide -to escape from the law-, he starts changing how everything works around. Of course, Dominic is the head of the most prominent family mafia in New York, but after his father dead the numbers lowered down, leaving him open to attack. That's why he decided to change, work harder, and with honor, not that's something people out of the mafia circle would understand.
But when life gives him a second chance in love, he takes it by the hand. There's apparent fear and weakness for somebody with blood on his hands, but love is something he isn't used to getting.
Trust and communication are two keywords that Faith and Dominic will learn throughout the time they spend together. They're not afraid of loving each other, and that's all they need to start working on themselves. Would tragic situation damage what they have? Are secrets going to keep them apart?

I can't wait for everyone to enjoy this book as much as I did.
Man I loved this book. What another awesome addition to both Armed & Dangerous Series and the Circle of Justice series, it was also great some of LP Dover’s beloved characters made an appearance like Gabby, Pax, Micah, Connor and we can’t forget Reed. It was cool to see what makes Dominic Corsino tick and I loved how his and Faith’s relationship progressed even though he’d not long taken over from his father so he’s now the head of the Corsino “Family” he‘s nothing like his father but he’s still done a lot of questionable sh*t. Dominic and Faith’s chemistry was off the charts. LP Dover is one of my favourite authors and I’ve read a lot of her books multiple times especially book 5 - 7 of the Gloves Off Series as they’re my favourites as well, she definitely knows how to keep her readers coming back for more she’s that good. I’m really looking forward to reading Reed’s story next and seeing how him and Kennedy are together, since we only got a brief glimpse of how’d he’d act in his book since he’s very protective of Faith so it will definitely a great read, all I can say is that if someone went after Kennedy I’m looking forward to seeing him go full assassin on their a*ses and I’m thinking he’ll end up being the most protective of all the Chandler Brothers’ (they’re all very protective of their loved ones). I’m also hoping that since this is a new crossover series from LP Dover she eventually write Connor and Micah’s stories and maybe Luca Corsino since he made a life changing decision near the end of this story. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to anyone who likes suspenseful, steamy romances with HEA.
This is kind of a new genre to me - anti-mafia romance! I'm not a lover of Mafia type stories so this really intrigued me.
Dominic has taken over the "family" in the aftermath of the death of his father and uncle. He's determined to make them legit but at the same time secure their businesses from the remaining hardline mafia families. He does have another little problem to deal with - his attraction to his sister's best friend. He was aware that the attraction was mutual but his sister didn't want to mix Faith into the family business, especially when they were trying to leave it behind themselves!
Faith is living a cliched nightmare. She caught her husband banging the new hire at work - the firm they both started! When he pulls a fast one and leaves her with nothing she has to rely on the generosity of her bestie and her brother. But will the offer of a new job with Dominic solve her problems or add to them??
I have to admit I loved Dom's approach to Faith's husband when he first meets him. I expected the slime ball to wee himself! He ties himself in knots occasionally straddling the line of "the Family" and his family. Faith is never a damsel in distress just a woman with a wrinkle or two to solve but she's never too proud to accept help. She sees her flaws and embraces them.
I hadn't read any of the Circle of Justice series and I'm going to correct that ASAP - FBI assassins have got my attention.
Dangerous Game is an action packed romantic thriller with leads Dominic a mafia boss, and Faith best friend of his sister, newly divorced from her cheating husband. Having always had feelings for each other it does not take Dominic and Faith long to connect in many ways! Dominic is running an illegal fight ring in the basement of his hotel and there is another mafia boss wanting to be to take over his empire. There is a lot going on in this story, with FBI assassin’s helping Dominic in his struggles. Although it was pretty enjoyable belief has to be suspended to believe the FBI and Mafia could murder anyone they wanted. Faith although strong character seemed to do some stupid things and also every time she saw someone she liked ‘squealed’ I did at times find her annoying. That said a story that flowed well with plenty of action. My thanks to net galley and publisher for the opportunity to review this book honestly.
I've read pretty much all of this author's books and I've read all her contemporary books and loved them, so I always look forward to a new release from her! I then received an ARC of this book and started reading it as soon as I could! I was excited that it's a crossover book because I've read all the books in both series' lol! After reading this book, I can say that the plot was different to what I was expecting, but I loved it a lot! The plot also kept me wanting to read on and find out what was going to happen next! It had plenty of romance in it as well, which allowed for a few seriously hot scenes between the two main characters! There was some action and suspense in the plot as well, which developed more as the plot did! It added a lot to the plot as well! I do have to admit though that I found it a little hard to connect with the characters at points, but I did enjoy their relationship development and there were quite hot together! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! Faith was the main female character, and I felt for her in this book because her life changed and she was back to square one in a way! Faith went through a lot of changes in this book, but she also grew a lot and she took control and did what she had to do to protect the ones she loved and cared about! Dominic was the main male character and love interest of Faith! I wasn't really sure what o think of Dominic at the beginning of this book! I mean, he was an intriguing character and he had a good life and plenty of money! Dominic was also involved in some dangerous activities and this did come back to bite him in a way! He did learn though and he also realised what was important in his life! I loved that this book was written from both Faith and Dominic’s point of views! I was hoping that it was going to before I started reading because the synopsis makes it sound like it’s going to be! I think all of the prequel series’ to this one have been written from dual point of view as well! It helped me connect more with Faith and Dominic and understand why they made the decisions they did! It allowed for more things to happen in the plot as well, which helped as the characters were going through their own situations and Dominic and Faith kept some secrets from each other! They also spent little bits of the plot apart! I now can’t wait to read the next book in this series! I’m not sure when it’s going to release because I can’t find any information on Goodreads and there wasn’t anything at the end of this book! I do know whose book it’s going to be because there was the synopsis at the end of this book! I can’t wait to read it and learn more about it and I'll definitely be reading it once it releases! The ending of this book was also left at the perfect place for the characters! The cover for this book is also absolutely perfect! I loved it as soon as I saw it and it really suits the book and the feel of the book! The cover model is the perfect Dominic as well and he's seriously hot! Big thank you to L.P. Dover for an ARC of Dangerous Game!

Dangerous Game is wicked, sexy thrill ride! Dominic Corsino is a power hungry man, that knows exactly what he wants and he gets it. Except for this girl he always pushed away, Faith. He always wanted her but didn't want to corrupt her with his intense world. However when she needs help the two are pushed together once again. Temptations arise and their worlds twist together in a dark sexy ride. I love this book! I could not put it down once I started it!
