Racing is my drug, but she’s my addiction...

Blaine
My career is the only thing that matters. Until a redheaded bombshell drops into my life, proving to be the ultimate distraction. I should have seen the caution flag for what it was, but ever since Aubree’s path crossed into my own, I’ve been in a tailspin trying to recover.

With back-to-back championships under my belt, I'm making a name for myself in the world of dirt late model racing. I'm determined to win a third and be the youngest driver in history to do so. She's pushing at my walls, and I'm trusting her, letting them fall.

Aubree
The last place I expect to find love is on the sidelines of a racetrack, but the moment we met, something inside me shifted. I know nothing about racing, but when my boss came to me with a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the United States, I took it.

Now, here I am, traveling from city to city engrossed in this new world of dirt tracks, pushed out of my comfort zone, and into the arms of the hottie race-car driver who revs my engine.

We made a deal— friends with benefits until the end of the season. Then we would go our separate ways. The only problem, I'm not so sure I want him to let me go. From the start to the finish line, I’ll have to learn to trust the push.

Trust The Push has me repeating in my head a million times, " Get the Flip out of here. " Good gosh almighty. I know I shouldn't have been surprised that I would absolutely fall in love with Blaine and Aubree's story, but I never expected to fall face first in love with them. Ryan's writing still to this day absolutely astounds me, and how she weaved through the depths of this story, but also keeping a light tone to it, makes her the author that she is. I get so lost in her words, that half the time I am so worried I may never come out. If I could live in her little bubble of characters for the rest of my life, I would die a very happy person. This standalone novel is based on the Dirt Late Model Racing. If you have no idea what that is, don't be worried because, honestly it is not the soul focus of this book. It is more like, a surrounding if that makes sense. I loved each and every character and their banter. I love how family oriented this book is, it's like reading a book but it is also welcoming you home at the same time, weird analogy I know, but none the less true. Trust The push is low drama, and it makes for a more fulfilling story, a more heart warming read. As always, I have to point out the fact that the title is woven in to this story. I LOVE LOVE LOVE how this author accomplishes that. I get goose bumps every time I stumble across the title entwined with the story.

Blaine " Checkmate " Bishop is making strides in the world of dirt late model racing. His team is his family / everything. Being 25 years old, and an only child, he comes off as stubborn, brash, and he doesn't share to easily. His main focus is taking his career to the next level and to be the youngest one to do that.

Aubree Chance is a 23 year old massage therapist. Her childhood made her who she is, a shy independent woman, who hasn't had the chance to truly experience life. She is introverted, but humble as they come. She has a kick *** best friend that supports her in everything she does.

When Aubree's boss comes to her with an unexpected proposition, she can't pass up the opportunity to travel across the United States. What she doesn't expect, is the chemistry she has with dirt late model racing star Blaine Bishop? Can Aubree's future be brighter than she ever imagined?

*I recommend this book.

Oh where do I start? Kaylee did it again. She wrote a book that from the first paragraph it grabbed me and I just couldn’t put it down until I was completely done. Wow! Talk about a book hangover.

Blaine and Aubree are an unlikely couple. He’s a race car driver and she is a physical therapist who doesn’t have a clue about racing. But they are brought together in a way that had me almost laughing out loud at Blaine’s personal reactions to Aubree. And I loved Aubree spunk. She was so genuine it was easy to love her from the start. He was so hard headed and focused you just could tell once he realized he wanted her he would go hard for her. Just like he did with the rest of his life goals.

I personally LOVED his dog Camber and how Camber loved Aubree from the get go. Being a huge dog lover myself I could totally relate to her connection with his pup! This story took you on a wild ride of emotions but what never wavered was the strong friend to family connections that were made. Kaylee always does an amazing job with embracing the family you have around you. And I love the protective and supportive nature she brings to those connections.

I started this book as soon as it landed on my kindle this morning and couldn’t put it down. I finished it all in the same day because it held me just that tightly until the end. It left me wanting more and sighing, because since I received this book as an ARC, I have that much longer to wait on Kaylee’s next book release.

If you love a good alpha male, a strong independent female character and cast of friends to family around them, you SO won’t me disappointed. By the end of this book I was swooning for Blaine and cheering for him to win his biggest race....the race for his love!!! Go read this book now. You won’t be disappointed.

Race car driver and shy girl

Oh I simply loved this book. I love all of Kaylee Ryan's books. This one was about a stubborn race car driver and his team. Aubree is a massage therapist who is hired to treat one of the crew members. But when she sets eyes on Blane she falls for the grumpy guy.

I COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN!!!

I am already a huge Kaylee Ryan fan. I mean if she writes it, I will read it, but she never ceases to surprise me with the sheer awesomeness of the stories she comes up with.

Blaine is a cocky and egotistical race car driver, and Aubree is a massage therapist who finds herself working for and traveling with the race car team. They have more of an enemy thing going on at first, but shortly after, their intense chemistry forces them to give in to their need for each other.

Despite his tough exterior, Blaine has a softer side that only Bree could seem to unleash. I absolutely loved every moment of their back and forth, will they or won't they, will this ever turn into more romance.

Kaylee Ryan writes the absolute best characters and the best happily ever afters. This is a definite highly recommend read for me!!!

DNF @ 33% - too cheesy - the h gets on my nerves with her diarrhea of the mouth about her tough childhood. She’s on a bus full of strangers, in a professional capacity, and she can’t stop from telling anyone and everyone who will listen about her sob story. 🙄 And he’s all but declaring himself to a woman he’s known for a handful of hours at 33% into the book… “you’re under my skin, like no woman has ever been”… yeesh dude. Find some chill. 😵‍💫

This is a great book that I was so glad I read. I loved the cover and the blurb finally sold me on reading it.

Blaine is racing and loving it. He is trying to be the youngest racer to win in the Dirt Late Model Racing World. He is living his life to the fullest by racing by day and partying by night. Aubree is a massage therapist and she loves her job.

When Aubree is made an offer by her boss she just can't refuse it. She goes on the road with Blaine and his team. She is his massage therapist and when the two meet they have chemistry and decide to have fun while they are on the road. Only when the time comes to an end and the season is over will they be over or will they continue to have a relationship?

My love for Ms. Ryan and her books will never end. I ate this book right up in less then 24 hours and I enjoyed every single second of it!! When I read Ms. Ryan’s work I don’t just read the story. I fall into the book with the characters. In this case I’m sitting alongside Aubree, Robin, Brian, and Ashley when Blaine is racing. I’m also sitting alongside Blaine in the car as he’s racing. I’m enjoying dinner with said company mentioned and Kevin, Rick, and Jacob. I’m having girls night with Maria, Ashley, and Aubree. See what I mean? I take each and every character and go along the ride with them. And I have to tell you I LOVE Blaine and Aubree. Love and adore the crap out of them!! I’m actually kind of bummed I finished because I just need more. I see a re read on my future that’s for sure. And you’re gonna think I’m crazy with this statement but every time Ms. Ryan writes I get lost in the places her books take place because I’ve been to most of the places. Her books are magical and powerful and I get to experience the story right along with the characters. And trust me, you don’t want to miss Blaine and Aubree’s story! You’re gonna love them as much as I did!!!

The only reason why I picked up this audio is because Teddy Hamiltin and Callie Dalton are one of my favorite narrators and I haven’t read a Kaylee Ryan book.

Trust the Push was okay, it started out strong, but the repetitiveness started to get to me.

I like the racer / massage therapist troupe. I liked Aubree, she’s a well-rounded girl and very likeable. I know the author tries hard to make the Hero, Blaine kind of a jerk, but that guy rubbed me the wrong way. He was rude for no reason, but nothing over the top (it’s not that kind of book).

I liked that the angst was low and it’s a short audio that I can put in the background, but goodness, if I had to listen to them talk about how temporary the “relationship” was, I was going to pull my hair out.

We get it, it’s a causal relationship, can we stop saying that it will end soon, how Aubree’s heart will break when it ends, how Aubree wouldn’t break it off first, he would … it just went on and on. I think if that could have been omitted, I would have enjoyed the read a lot more.

I liked that it was short, I liked the narrators, I liked the easy going storyline. I just hope there isn’t a lot of repetitiveness in the author’s other books.

Kaylee Ryan is one of my favorite authors and it’s no surprise that I absolutely loved Bree and Blaine’s story. Their connection was very clear from the beginning and I’m so glad they got their HEA. I 100% recommend this book! Once you’re done with this one go read all of her other books. I promise you won’t regret it.

What you need to know about Baine? One second he's an asshole and one second he's "sweet." What you need to know about Aubree? She has a temperamental father who abused her once. And that she has never done anything ever in her life. Like literally nothing. If you take out those three facts from the book you're literally left with 2 maybe 3 full chapters. Why? (As this question is) it was redundant. After the first mention I don't know why the reader needs to be explicitly reminded of those facts for each chapter.

Despite Aubree commenting on Baines hot and cold personality I wanted to get a direct quote to show everyone but it's all scenes. Just know that when he's with her, he's nice and he hits on her and when he's with other people he treats her like shit and a distraction that isn't worth his time. Charming, our hero is not.

An example of Aubree never letting us forget for one second how her dad affected her life:

"I can’t help but worry. That’s me, that’s who I am. Growing up without affection and in constant worry you are going to do something wrong or say something that might set your father off in a fit of rage does that to a person."

I feel like I read this word for word from a childhood disorders textbook but I'm just gonna move on.

An example of Aubree never having done anything ever in her life:

"Are you afraid of heights?” she asks. “I don’t know,” I confess. I’ve never really been in a situation where I needed to find out.

I mean... have you ever been on a ladder? Climbed stairs and looked down? Looked out of a second story window? Watched a movie with sandra Bullock in space and freaked? I mean...

I’m a huge fan of this author and her writing style. This book is no exception. Bree and Blaine have a very rocky start to their relationship and you can see the sparks fly. Bree’s life has had little love in it and to her the family that surrounds Blaine is what she craves as long as the guy himself. Their story is heartwarming and emotional as she learns to trust in what she sees and feels. This book was compelling and heartbreaking at times but oh so good. Great book.

description
Kaylee Ryan delivers a fast-paced and sexy, enemies-to-lovers story with Trust the Push.

At the beginning, I felt much like Aubree about Blaine. I, too, wanted to punch him in the face. He had serious attitude and I felt bad for Aubree. She was sweet and endearing. I felt protective of her and I wanted good things for her. I felt like she was bit too easy on him but it just illustrated her forgiving nature. As the story progressed, so did Blaine. The closer these two got, the more he opened up. His changes were big and I couldn’t help but fall in love with him.

I enjoyed the fact that there wasn’t a lot of external drama. We were able to focus on the relationship and the normal struggles of a couple figuring things out. Then we had the added bonus of Blaine’s status as a top Dirt Late Model driver. It added another element of excitement. I was not only interested in the relationship between them but also on his races and career.

Ryan threw in a few twists and I was racing to the finish, eager to see how it would all play out.

I've never considered racing to really be a sport in the traditional sense, and I still have no idea about the sport having read this book. It's just the setting. But I did love the small-town friendships and the closeness of the racing team. I love the way they traveled. The small-town girl that had never been anywhere was charming.

The story was pretty standard stuff - Blaine was a little quick to change his tune from "I'm totally focused" to "squirrel!" But overall the progression of the story was well done. We didn't have page after page after page of either of them waffling around and a way too much will-they-or-won't-they.

I love Callie Dalton and her narration here was excellent. Teddy Hamilton has never been my favorite, but he's still good. He could have used a southern accent to really bring some authenticity to the story.

Personally, I had higher hopes for this book to be honest. I did like the idea of the story and the tropes, but I didn’t like the way it was written. The sentences felt more like they were stating facts rather than a flowy text.

Blaine knows how to make situations more awkward than necessary, “your eyes, Bree. The way you’re staring at my ***k. That’s not helping.” Blaine just has no boundaries, “meet you back in bed.” He leans down and kisses me. While I’m using the bathroom! " The man is quite the charmer, “it’s purely selfish on my part. Have you seen your *** in those shorts?” he whispers next to my ear." I liked this book, I fell in love with Blaine and for me this is the best book to date by Kaylee.

This is a MUST-READ, not a maybe—Kaylee Ryan at her absolute best!

From the first page to the last, this book is a Fast and Furious ride, packed with everything you’d expect from Kaylee Ryan: a captivating story, unforgettable characters, and plenty of SIZZLE! Make sure to have tissues handy because once you start, you won’t stop until the very end.

Blaine Bishop, known in the racing world as “Checkmate,” is the quintessential Kaylee Ryan hero—hot, magnetic, and frustratingly stubborn at first. (Trust me, you’ll want to shake some sense into him!) But as always, Kaylee Ryan masterfully peels back the layers, revealing a passionate, complex man who lives for the roar of the engines and the thrill of the track. You’ll feel like you’re right there, smelling the oil and hearing the roar of the cars as you fall for Blaine, flaws and all.

Then there’s Aubree, the heart and soul of this story. Despite her tough upbringing and juggling two jobs to put herself through school, she lands a job with Blaine and steps into a whole new world—both on and off the racetrack. Aubree’s wide-eyed wonder as she experiences life outside Tennessee for the first time is beautifully portrayed, making her journey feel magical. With Blaine by her side, her excitement is contagious, and you’ll feel it too.

And let’s talk about the SIZZLE—because this book delivers! Every glance, every touch, every moment between Blaine and Aubree crackles with chemistry. Their connection lights up the pages and keeps you rooting for them every step of the way.

As always, Kaylee Ryan doesn’t just give you romance—she gives you a world. From the gritty excitement of the dirt racing scene to the camaraderie of life on the road, you’ll feel like you’re right there with the characters, living every mile of their journey.

One of the standout lines in this book is, “Do something you love, and it will never feel like work.” This embodies Kaylee Ryan’s magic as an author. She never disappoints, weaving heartfelt stories that pull you in and make you feel. And yes, this one will bring tears—because what would a Kaylee Ryan book be without a few emotional moments?

So, buckle up and ENJOY the ride. This is Kaylee Ryan at her finest!

Yeah, no...

Gave up after chapter 6. Was going to stop at 3, but pressed on.

Far too descriptive for my liking. E.g One chapter had 10 lines in it which would have been totally ok with just one line. It's almost like the author thinks the reader doesn't have an imagination for themselves.

*** ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review ***

Trust The Push definitely got me interested until the end. Catching feelings to that fast speed through the rhythm of Blaine’s races, I couldn’t wait to see how Blaine’s so predictable road became so much more, when the goal was to win the championship turned into finding love along the way.

Blaine and Aubree didn’t start on the right foot. When they were in the same room, all the vibes emanating were utterly heavy, like electricity charged with sexual tension that everyone could feel.

Blaine was the best of jerk firsthand, not knowing what to do about this instant pull and intense attraction. Tall, dark and broody, putting his defenses on high level, rejecting her and being really cold and unfriendly. Avoiding his real feelings. There was no place for anything, and used to that life on the road and seeing how hard it could be for his friends and family to maintain a relationship, it wasn’t his plan to be involved.

A bit immature but it was so fun to watch being riled him and not in control for once, to see him falling in love.

Aubree was also a hard worker, learning to take of herself on her own, not letting people in. She focused on her work not letting so much place for anything else. When she met Blaine, all of her defenses were starting to fall down, brick by brick and even his confusing hot and cold behavior couldn’t change how he made her feel, once sweet and hot and the other taking that usage u-turn that would give to any girl whiplash. It took me some time to get along with her personality. She was described first like a fragile thing and it was so the opposite. She was brave and fierce and I wanted to see her more putting Blaine in his place, just to give him a run for his money when he was acting like a jerk.

I appreciated seeing their relationship growing even if they had some issues to really let the other win or to protect their hearts, when they knew that it could leave for heartbreak. Being part of this journey of winning this championship would be heart but winning each others’ hearts was something more difficult and risky. All Blaine and Aubrey needed was to trust the push and when they did, they would win the races in the world, especially the race for love!

⭐️ 5 "Don't Be Afraid to Try" Stars ⭐️
My last read by Kaylee Ryan was a long while ago and I felt like plunging into her words again. As soon as I started Trust the Push, I was engrossed into the story and remembered why I love this author’s books so much. This romance novel is an impeccable balance of everything I love reading about. Aubree and Blaine have a great chemistry, there’s angst, lust, funny moments and all the feels!

"I don't want to play it safe with you, Blaine. I want everything you're willing to give me."

When Aubree is hired as a massage therapist to travel with Blaine and his team for his dirt late model racing competitions, there’s an instant animosity coming from him. He’s acting so cold and arrogant toward her, but the powerful pull between them is just so perceptible and undeniable. It’s apparent he doesn’t like the feelings she elicits in him. He’s always been dedicated to his sport, his passion and this new redhead girl can’t stay out of his mind. I loved the push and pull between them. While Blaine acts like a jerk at moments, he’s never truly mean to Aubree and can be so caring and sweet too!

The development of their relationship, where both characters take a leap of faith toward love and the risks it involves is truly lovely. Every interaction between these two is overflowing with a fierce simmering attraction! Their flirty banter had me smiling and so giddy. I was waiting for them to succumb to these new feelings and how beautiful of a process it was. Their intimate moments are full of heated passion and emotions and totally captured my heart. I enjoy when there’s a great supporting cast surrounding the main protagonists and Blaine’s parents and teammates, as well as Aubree’s friends make the read even more interesting.

"When you're this close to me, I want to do more than just work with you. You're under my skin like no other woman has ever been."

Trust the Push is a beautiful story of fighting your fears and going out of your comfort zone. It’s beautiful, sexy, touching, funny! Kaylee Ryan signs here another stunning novel that I couldn’t put down.

Aubree never really had a family, she has really been on her own, but she has worked hard to get where she is at in her life. She has a best friend and her best friends’ husband. There isn’t much a social life so when she isn’t working Aubree is spending her time in her appointment alone. She receives a once in a lifetime opportunity through her job, an adventure that could help bring her out of her shell. Of course, this new job means spending time with a hot, cocky, broody dirt track driver Blaine. What happens when these two end up spending time together and decided to have a summer fling?

I loved Aubree and Blaine. Aubree experiencing everything for the first time was fun, she truly treated it like a child full of wonder would. Blaine, well what isn’t there to love about the man. He is a risk taker, he is cocky, he is broody. He has one focus and that is winning another championship, but life has some other plans in the form of a redhead. The chemistry between the two is fantastic. The tension that builds and eventually comes to a head is hot.

Not only were Blaine and Aubree amazing characters, but I also loved all the secondary characters in this story, especially Blaine's parents, Kevin and Ashley. The whole crew is pretty great and an amazing support unit.

Kaylee Ryan did not disappoint with this book. It was exciting, it was steamy, and I’ll admit it was slightly emotional for me, especially when it came to a certain part towards the end of the story. This is definitely one of my favorites from Kaylee and one that I will read again.

Trust the Push by Kaylee Ryan
“Will they trust the push? 5 stars”

Aubree has had a rough life where she’s only been able to depend on herself. Little did she know one job would lead her into a whole new life where people actually cared about her. Aubree finds herself as part of a team. When she first met Blaine she knew he was trouble and as someone who has had enough in her life she wasn’t interested. Then she decided to give it a go but knew it would end. But does it?
Blaine has always been hyper focused on his racing career. He doesn’t need any distractions and that is exactly what Aubree is, a distraction. Will he be able to trust the push and take a chance on her? Can he really have his career and love? Only one way to find out.
Ryan did it again and delivered another well written story. Blaine and Aubree were very different but balanced each other perfectly. They didn’t try to change one another they just accepted each other. I loved how Trust the Push was a sports story that revolved around racing, it’s one that’s not done all the time and I enjoyed it and the people who played a part in the story. I can’t wait to see if Ryan gives us anymore from this group.

I never knew how much I loved racers until this very moment. Excuse me while I go become a racing super fan in hopes of finding my very own Blaine. I wanted to kick him and kiss him and keep him forever. God. No one’s heroes get to me quite the way Kaylee Ryan’s do and Blaine is now my number one of all of them. Outside of my obsessive love of Blaine there’s about a billion more things to love in Trust The Push.
There’s the fact Aubree is a total sweetheart. She’s so strong and has worked so hard to overcome such a heartbreaking childhood. Where some people may have been bitter in her circumstances she had a heart of gold. Then you get this whole fantastic, supportive and loving racing family that adopts Aubree into their fold immediately and fills you up with so much heartwarming happiness you feel like you’re going to burst. Start to finish, through the frustrating and the sweet along with all the sparks that fly between Blaine and Aubree this entire book is perfection!

I have been reading Kaylee Ryan for a while now and she truly never disappoints. I loved, absolutely loved Trust the Push. Once I started reading it, I could not put it down. The story, the characters and their journey will captivate you from the start!

Blaine is making waves as a race car driver and he has no intentions to stop. Then Aubree enters his world and turns it upside down. Blaine was cocky, sexy and broody. Aubree finds herself immersed in a world she knew nothing about but is drawn too. When they first meet, it was not the best of first meetings, but their chemistry was undeniable. I loved these two together and you could not help but root for them.

I devoured Trust the Push by Kaylee Ryan. She is an automatic one-click author for me and stories like this are the reason why. This story was steamy and delightful and one I highly recommend!

I loved this book, ever since watching Netflix's Drive to Survive (an F1 racing docuseries which I admit to watching at least 3 times all the way through) I have been searching for an amazing Racing romance.

This fit the bill, an enemies to lovers, a sweet family, a cute dog, and racing.

The main thing I wish changed was maybe more racing or more to do with racing, I get the traveling and I loved that aspect I wish we just got to see Blaine race more. I also noticed that they repeated themselves a lot, a lot more than I like.

I am glad that the issue/conflict wasn't over the top, which is what I was worrying about. They handled it like adults and I was happy about it!

Overall great story and can't wait to read more from Kaylee Ryan!
