Gallery assistant Piper Diaz is focused on getting her artwork shown, and screw anyone who’s told her to drop the hobby. Nothing will stop her now that Pacific Blue Fine Art Gallery has agreed to display her creations. Things are finally going her way…

Until entrepreneur Alex Hutton purchases the gallery. He’s got zero interest in unknown artists and nothing will sway him from his goals. He gives her an ultimatum: work for him or quit. Pacific Blue must reopen in a month or he loses everything.

Piper’s falling for him, but his refusal to display her artwork just might drive her away. Working with Piper has Alex thinking about a lifetime love, but his family’s heart-shattering past keeps him from committing.

Can two driven, passionate people see past their own goals and come together to create something more spectacular than they could alone?

Lovely, beautifully written contemporary romance in an amazing coastal set.
Piper is a sea life sculptor who would do anything to realise her dream. Her family doesn’t approve of her work, and despite the lack of support from her loved ones, she keeps going.
Alex, a rich man with a dark secret, is the owner of the art gallery where Piper is supposed to show her work, but he needs famous artists to recover the money he put in this new business, and Piper doesn’t fit the bill.
I loved both characters. They’re strong, realistic, and stomp off the pages. I loved the beautiful descriptions too and the rising tension between Alex and Piper, her complex relationship with her family, and his way to help her.
It’s a standalone novel with a HEA, but I’d suggest reading “Pleasure Cove” too, the first book of the series.
Also a lovely cover.

This was a very good read. Piper is a sculptor and works in a small unknown art gallery with a promise from the manager to show her work later. She shows up to work one day with the locks changed and a new hot owner, named Alex, who is a bit of an a$$ and will only show well known artists. He won’t even consider looking at her work much less showing it. The attraction between these two grows as they work to get the gallery ready for the premiere. All of Alex money is riding on the success of this event. This book also has a chauvinistic father, a ditzy mother, a gay cousin who is like a sister and his partner, interfering brothers, a clueless absent father and two people who swear they’ll never marry or have kids.

Piper and Alex are wonderful characters who have a push and pull throughout most of the book. Family drama/sadness, angst, twists, stubbornness, sweetness and sexiness are just some of the things you will enjoy with this read. The writing is awesome and keeps you completely invested in the book from start to finish. This author is new to me and I will definitely be reading more from her!!

I really enjoyed Pacific Blue and especially Piper, she is a woman who knows what she wants and how she wants it. Piper works at Pacific Blue an art gallery hoping she will get to show her work but when the door is locked in the morning she finds it’s been and with it her chance of a showing.
Alex has bought Pacific Blue but he wants established artists not unknowns so he won’t show Piper’s work but he did offer to keep her on to help returning the prior works. Alex likes Piper, her spirit and determination but he still won’t show her work but he helps her stand up to her parents and their matchmaking. Piper and Alex feel their attraction growing but Alex has a secret he doesn’t want to think about or share making it difficult to even think about a relationship.
I loved Piper’s attitude and her look on things she can’t control and Alex showing a different side of himself.

I really enjoyed this first read from a new to me author.

Piper and Alex seem to have completely different outlooks on life but they're actually more similar than they appear. It's an easy, witty read set with beautiful California coastline as the backdrop. I enjoyed their banter, the chemistry and the story moved along at a believable pace.

Definitely recommend.

I received an arc of this book.

Excellent story by this new to me author. So much to enjoy in this book, the descriptive ocean life scenes, come alive. There is romance, misunderstandings, angst and steam, none is over top and the drama does not overwhelm the story. Do not miss this one.

Pacific Blue

Pacific Blue is the first book I have read by Kristina Luckey. I am now a big fan and will be reading whatever she has out. I really enjoyed the style and all the details she gave. It made you feel you were there and you could envision what she was happening. Piper is an artist that has been working in an art gallery and was promised a showing of her work, so imagine her surprise when she gets to work one day and her key no longer works. Alex has bought the gallery and plans to make it more upscale. He will not be showing any of the promised shows, He hires Piper to help him send back the art that is there. Sparks fly between these two. Piper is a strong woman, and knows what she wants and won't bow down to her family or anyone else. Alex also has strong views, but he steps in and helps Piper out at a family function by standing up to her father and brothers. He does not like how they treat her. They are both so attracted to each other, but scared to admit or mess up the work relationship. Alex doesn't believe in love or want it because he may have a gene that causes early dementia that his mom had. Piper is focused on making it and not worried about marriage or a family. Oddly that is normally when love sneaks up on you, and in this case love conquers all. Alex really grew and changed once he decided he wanted to pursue a relationship with Piper. The boat trip was amazing. I loved the ending!! I want to gush about so many things, but do not want to ruin anything for you, so pick up this one and read it. I could not put it down!

Struggling artist Piper was counting on being able to exhibit her sculptures at the gallery that she works at until it is taken over by new owner Alex. Alex has bet his money on reinventing the gallery but only by showing established artists. Alex comes from money, and a family that fell apart after the death of his mother. His father being absent and not showing support towards his sons. Alex is determined he will not have a long term relationship with any woman and has no intention of settling down and having a family. He is carrying a secret as to why he won't do this but perfects the persona of one-night stands.

Piper is happy being single and is keen to establish herself as an artist. It is all she has aspired to be. Her family puts pressure on her marry and join the family's investment business. She is not taken serious by them.

This is an example of sticking to your dreams and working hard to achieve them as Piper doesn't give up on her dream but then her art speaks for itself. I loved Piper and her love for life - living life to the fullest. This balanced out Alex's seriousness, despite the carefree attitude tries to portray.

I really enjoyed their story, the vividness of the locations and seeing the world through Piper's art and eyes. A really good fun read.

So I liked this book. I liked the different cultures were brought in and mixed so beautifully into the story line. I liked Piper. She was all full of fire. She knew she loved creating beautiful sea sculptures and wanted them in the Pacific Blue gallery. She was dynamite on the dance floor and stood up for herself when it was needed. Her father wanted certain things to happen to her and that's not what she wants. She wants her art, dance and diving to get some amazing pics for inspiration. Her world is turned upside down when Alex enters her life.
Alex comes off as kinda of a douche at first. I mean, he's from a well known family, who's worth billions. He keeps that part a secret. He's been everywhere and has done everything(this got annoying after a while). Despite all the money the family has, it is broken. The boys including his dad, haven't got over their mom's death and the genetic gene they may or may not carry. Alex blows this off time and time again. He does get better and shows us a side I didn't know was possible. He loves art and wants to promote true talent, this hurts and helps careers with him including Piper. He hurts her. I also liked how the author would just slide into the point of views without having it on the header. It worked so much better that way. I liked this book and the characters.

Piper is a sea life sculptor who despite her family’s disapproval of her career, works hard to get her work noticed. Unfortunately she hasn’t had much luck getting her work displayed in a gallery. Alex is the new owner of Pacific Blue Gallery. He isn’t an artist himself, but he appreciates art and those that create it. His challenge is to have PBG up and running within a month. Unfortunately for him, he finds himself butting heads with a certain artist.

Alex doesn’t need any distractions and Piper won’t stand for anyone getting in the way of her dreams, but their growing attraction has other ideas.

This novel was so swoony! Alex and Piper are such a likable couple. It was impossible not to root for them the whole time. Whether it was cheering Piper on in her career or seeing Alex successfully get the gallery going or to seeing them finally give into their growing attraction, I cheered them on the entire way.

Kristina Luckey has penned a great contemporary romance with beautiful backdrops and a couple I loved to see get their HEA. The romance was 100% there and the beautiful coastal descriptions make Pacific Blue a perfect summer read. 5 stars.

Pacific Blue is the story of Piper Diaz and Alex Hurron. Their story begins when Alex and a group of investors buy Pacific Blue Fine Art Gallery in Solana Beach. Piper's boss, Oliver, is let go and Alex becomes her boss. Piper works at the gallery in order to make money to work on her true passion, her creations of mostly sea life bronze sculptures. This story includes Piper's various relationships: with her domineering parents and brothers, with her fun cousin Umberto who is happily with his boyfriend, with a famous client that she has to fend off, and with Alex. Their story becomes a friend to lovers but no commitments relationship. The last part of the book holds a few surprises. I enjoyed this book. Kristina Luckey is a new author to me, but I look forward to reading other books in this Coastal Romance series.

Piper and Alex definitely have their ups and downs. Piper is trying to find a way to break into the art world with her own work, but the new owner of the gallery she works at doesn’t seem to care one lick for promoting local unknown artists. Or so she thinks. Alex sees Piper’s work and knows that she’s so far beyond his gallery that it would be an insult to show her work himself, but of course he fails to communicate that. Between their unwilling attraction for each other, Alex’s inability to open himself up and communicated and Piper’s meddling family, they have to make their way around, over, and through obstacles to determine whether or not they’re meant to be. I enjoyed their journey and found myself wanting to head to the beach for some salty air and marine life encounter of my own.

Filled with emotion and heat Pacific Blue completely knocked me off my feet! I was fully unprepared for how much this book got to me. Kristina Luckey has a way of writing that really brings her characters to life and causes them to feel like they are living in your heart. You can feel practically every emotion as they go through the ups and downs of life and love.
Alex and Piper have some seriously electric chemistry. Right from the start you can feel the sparks pinging between them even as they banter in a way that sparks the same feeling of a good enemies to lovers read, but these two are not quite enemies. As they dance around (sometimes literally 😉) the attraction between them that chemistry keeps pulling them closer and closer together. I had a fantastic time reading this and can’t wait to get my hands on more from this author.

I enjoy a strong female character and Piper definitely fit the part. This is a woman who knows what she wants and even when things are against her, she doesn't give up ~ I loved her tenacity. After reading about her amazing art pieces, I wanted to see it. My imagination ran away with the beautiful description of her work, I love when a book can make you feel that way! I also liked the fact the Alex came from a rich family but was encouraged to make his own way, that he followed a dream and stayed focused. I also like that we seen a weakness in Alex that he was able to overcome. The secondary characters were amazing and helped push the story along perfectly.

I really enjoyed Piper and Alex's story. Art brought them together but their souls recognized it's mate. Piper is fiery and independent. Alex is trying to make his own mark on the world. When the two collide the earth stops spinning for just a moment for them to come to a common ground, for love is it's own form of art. I loved the descriptions of Piper's art and you can't help but cheer her on to her success.

Alex had never believed on one true love. The soul mate thing pure fantasy, or so he thought. But he and piper were two amazing halves. Singular, active, productive but put them together and life seemed limitless." ~ Alex

Love, love, love! I have read Kristina's first book (Pleasure Cove) and really enjoyed it. So, I had to pick up this one too -- it didn't disappoint. Piper Diaz is a strong, sassy female lead who is a sea life sculptor. She knows what she wants from her life and wants her art shown in a local gallery. However, the new owner Alex is only showing well-known artists. The story unfolds from there with a workplace romance and Piper working to get known for her art.

The story will take you on many twists and turns. The book is well written and makes you feel like you are in the story with the characters. I particularly enjoyed the street artist in the book. He brought humor and lightheartedness to the story.

I'm excited to see what Kristina Luckey writes next and will definitely be adding it to my library.

This was a great story from this author. The way she told this story made you look at things a little differently. A girl trying to get her artwork shown and working as hard as she can to do this and just about to when a man Alex comes and buys the art gallery and will not show unknown people...The story gets very good when they go back and forth and finally decide that he really just wants his place to do well and she needs to worry about her self as well. The way they work together will keep you into the book right to the very end...

I enjoyed the journey piper and Alex went through together in order to find their future! Both had a set plan on what they expected but plans were derailed when they met!

Piper was unsure of her future and what would come of her passion she just knew art was all she had room for while Alex was set on what he wanted and where it would lead! Neither wanted love and neither even anticipated it but the thing is love has its own agenda! With untold truths threatening to ruin it all both have to find what they want and if their plans have room for adjustment!

A beautiful story. I especially enjoyed the description of all of Piper’s art, I really could visualise exactly what it would look like. The writing and descriptions of this story was inspiring. The author certainly has a talent for enabling the reader to be in the scene with the characters. The romantic story of Piper and Alex was good. Two people who were not getting married or having children brought together by fate. A great story that I could not put down.

Great beach reaf

Piper and Alex's chemistry was off the charts in this steamy novel by Kristina Lucky. Struggling artist Pipers plans are thrown off when the gallery she works for is suddenly bought without her knowledge. Throw in a hot new boss and a sassy attitude and the sparks are insane. I can't wait until the next in the series.

This is book 2 in the Coastal romance series. Piper is an artist. She is up and coming with her sculptures. She also works as an assistant at the art gallery she is trying to show her work. Standing inside the building she works at she meets Alex. He just bought the place and is changing it in a premier gallery. These 2 butt heads but have grest chemistry. I enjoyed reading this book.  Can't wait to see what comes next in the series.

Both Alex and Piper didn’t want babies or marriage. They cared about their career. Her art, his studio. When he bought out her job and she lost her opportunity to showcase her art, she was mad. The more time they spent together, their attraction grew. It was slow burning and hot. Faith had its way with them and changed their life. Cute book.
