Title: ➳ Truth in Freedom
Series: ➳ Truth & Lies Duet 2#
Author: ➳Maggie Kay
Published: October 31st 2019

This book went beyond all my expectations!!

Lord I stay up most of the night reading this book, now I sit here wondering how write my review without sharing too much!

when I started reading this Duet, I had a crush on Cole, seriously guys by the end of the book 1# I was blindly in love with him, In this book my heart went out him for that he sacrifice to give to Olivia, no matter how much he truly didn’t want to let her go

I mean, wow. What an amazing emotional roller coaster of a read. I'm still a Lil flabbergasted by what I just hungrily consumed; I couldn't believe that I was reading & everything that happened to Olivia. - in the past & even now in the present
At times I had wonder how in the hell was Olivia able get out bed every day, let alone how was this amazing woman able keep her head up! She might have struggled at times. But at the end of day she shows them whom was stronger!

Cole, He has question himself on his decision to let her go every second of every minute, of every goddamn day. The last six months have been hell, & the big question is will Olivia learn to trust him again? Cuz he knows she still loves him

👄The ending had me once again in tears honestly, I don't know if those were Tears of Joy or tears of sadness or both! Oh, wow I love how much Olivia had also grown a lot just from beginning to end. There is so much emotional conflict & passion in these pages. Hands down, this story blew me

Truth & Lies Duet
1-Truth in Lies
2- Truth in Freedom

I’m not going lie, At times Olivia & Cole’s story is not an easy one to read, Especially when the subject of human trafficking & sex slavery pop up in the story , but I was completely blown away with the way with how Maggie Kay was able to pull off that part of the story…. With that said I ⬇

📚 Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion + Also I wouldn’t discourage anyone from reading it.

An emotional and powerful ending to Cole and Olivia's story.

The author has shown a clear development in these characters and delivered a powerful message of strength through adversity.

Human trafficking is not an easy subject to read about however the author in no way glamorised it either. In Cole and Olivia's story, it, in fact, speaks more of the issues survivors deal with in the aftermath.

Cole and Olivia's story will stay with me for a long time.

Well.... I have been gutted and put back together... I thought the first book was tough but this one pulled my heart strings so tight they almost broke. Cole pissed me right the hell off for his "thinking it will help" crap while they were separated, but I still think everyone needs a Cole in their life. He is amazing with Olivia. I am sooooo happy Olivia-Kitten has grown from what she went though and woooo that shows in this book!!! For her to still be so strong was amazing. Great conclusion and thank you so much for the ARC!!!!

This is a must read, emotional rollercoaster ride of love and finding your strength regardless of the circumstances. An absolute must read by Maggie Kay!!!

This book continues the story of Olivia and Cole. To say I loved this couple is an understatement. The author does an outstanding job of taking a tough topic and making it real. Th emotions your felt for Olivia from book 1 to this book blew me away!!

The author is amazing and will definitely be a one click author for me. This story puts her up there with major authors. The way she weaves the lives and situations and makes the characters stronger is magical!!!

Olivia and Cole - SIGH - have been through so much. Cole has made one of the toughest decisions and has to live with the consequences. Their story is one of finding yourself after a tough start to life. You see Olivia blossom and grow into a person you love. Cole is miserable but as the story unfolds, he gets his head out of his butt and stands up for what he wants.

I absolutely loved this story!!

This book hooked me right in. It’s much faster paced than book 1, I flew through it. Truth in Freedom is laced with the emotional roller coaster you’d expect from the cliffhanger Truth in Lies left us a on. Yet it doesn’t give the book hangover the first book did. Olivia really had great character development in this book, without drawing it out. I didn’t love how Cole conducted himself at first in this story, but he more than made up for it. The plot was epic and left me in tears by the end. Don’t worry, they were Happy tears!

Well, what an incredible journey this author took me on! I absolutely loved this book.

This is the conclusion to Olivia and Cole's story, and Maggie Kay did not let us off easy. This book had a bit of everything, drama, suspense, passion, action, love, pain and happiness. I think she wrapped up all the pieces beautifully and the ending was very fitting to the overall story.
I would give it a million stars if I could!
I honestly can't wait to see what she has next in line. Maggie Kay is a definite one-click author for me.

This duet were my first books by this author and they didn't disappoint. This story is all about finding the strength to move on when its the last thing you truly want. I really liked Cole and Olivia both through book 1and it didn't change. This deals alot with the aftermath and the survival after going through human trafficking. This one is definitely what you need to heal your broken heart from book 1.

Oh this book, so this is the ending of Olivia and Coles story.
And oh my their’s hasn’t been an easy one to read. The subjects brought up in this book can at times be hard to read. But the author does an amazing job at dealing with them.
The book is so emotionally raw and heartbreaking at times but so worth it.
And the perfect conclusion to Cole and Olivia’s story.
I received an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.

In book one she is rescued then set free by Cole for hr to live a life without him. No one asked her opinion they just made decisions for her. In this way, she was still in captivity, not making her own decisions. She doesn't let this stop her even though she is hurt and feels betrayed. Cole's got the can't help its. Setting her up on her own wasn't part of his plan he wanted her with him. While the focus is the captivity and healing of Olivia, it turns out the she becomes instrumental in helping the people around her heal. This, the second book of the series, is no less emotional, painful, revealing, healing. There is suspense and intrigue oh yeah and some action too.

This may be this authors first book (yes it is two parts, with a cliff hanger of sorts that lead to this one) but she has done amazing things with the characters who are flawed and vengeful, and human. She's made sure that people who stick with it and read both books will not feel cheated but will rejoice in the skill and finesse this new author displays. It's not an easy or pretty read, it can't be with it dealing with human trafficking. It's emotional and gritty and down and dirty and it's an amazing read. If possible the second book may have been better than the first one. In reclaiming her freedom, living her life to better others, she has redefined her truth and earned her freedom to live, grow and thrive. It's a wonderful read that wont leave you wanting or needing more.

I couldn’t wait for this book to the point I was scared I had built it up beyond all expectations, well I needn’t have worried because Maggie wrote this masterpiece that has left me feeling at peace for Olivia, she really had been through the ringer but I loved watching her grow stronger with every page I turned.

The fact Maggie didn’t sugar coat anything and showed us the dark side of Human trafficking through the victims eyes only made me fall deeper for this book. I felt sick reading so points but these needed to be shared in order to grasp the full extent of Olivias pain and trauma.

I love how love shined through even at the darkest times in someone’s lives we can still find beauty in the most horrible of circumstances.

In case people don't see the parenthesis, Truth in Freedom is the conclusion in the Truth & Lies Duet, so you absolutely MUST READ Truth in Lies (Book 1) FIRST! I seriously HATE saying that, but some people just don't get the memo at times. And since this is the conclusion, I can't talk about how it all picks back up, or much of anything because it could give spoilers, and I'm not down with that. Cole & Olivia's story has wrecked me completely, as the pain was palpable throughout, and it was like a punch to the gut, so I found my eyes leaking a time or two to be honest. There's some hard topics that the reader will experience, as Maggie Kay wrote them realistically, which is a great thing, but made it hard to breathe at times. So many emotions assaulted my system as I devoured both books in one day, and I'm not sure that I'll be the same, as it was an emotional ride, but it hurt so good, since Ms. Kay put me back together. There are twists that will make the best person drop an f-bomb or two, or in my case, many loud ones, and they will keep you on the edge of your seat. And now that I've said enough, because my words will never do this Duet justice anyway, so in order to experience all I've revealed, one click on Truth in Freedom, and if you haven't read the first book, yeah, hit that button again! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is the 2nd book in The Truth & Lies Duet so you must read Book#1 Truth in Lies first to understand this story.

'My O My!' What a conclusion to this EPIC love story. It's darker than the first book I think, and crosses the border into some seriously deep and disturbing territory but the author writes so respectfully, so tactfully she really holds your hand through the tough bits so you make it out the otherside.

I really loved how she wrapped everything up, it wasn't a corny Happily Ever After it was so suited to the characters and their journey. And boy what a journey it was.

The Sexy, passionate love scences will have you fanning your face and the little bits of witty humnor scattered throughout lightens the story to the right level. There is so much happening in this 2nd book that you don't catch a breather. It's sit on the edge of your seat suspence, drama and action, whilst there is a distict growing and development of all the characters, including the secondary ones.

Maggie Kay has really set the bar high for her first novels, she has a real natural talent for making a reader feel every emotion and see every scene. I am really looking forward to seing this author grow in her success. It is a well deserved 5 star read for me.

Where do I even begin with this - The first book left me broken hearted with the killer cliffhanger so I could not wait to dive into this. Let me tell you I was not disappointed!!

I am completely and utterly blown away! The twist and turns in the plot that I did not see coming where so intense. The suspense, the tension, the romance GAH!! it was everything I wanted for the conclusion to Cole and Olivia's story and so much more.

I want more!! Cole is definite husband material and Olivia is such a strong and inspirational character I just loved them both. The writer brings them to life with her amazing descriptive writing, every emotion was felt as if I was the character. I was actually crying real tears both happy and sad.

So I say to all those readers who have it on their TBR List make it your next read you won’t regret it ( you have to read the first book of course) If I could have given it more stars I would, just brilliant!

The first book in the Truth and Lies Duet absolutely amazed me and was like nothing I'd ever read before but the second book Truth in Freedom blew my mind!!! This book is a five-star read for me. Maggie Kay delivers an emotional story full of angst, love, passion, revenge, and strength. The pain and suffering Olivia has been dealt with and overcomes is truly inspirational and I found myself fighting for her to continue to stay strong through tumultuous times. I loved Cole and even though I saw growth in Olivia I saw so much growth in Cole as well. This story is a must-read. It is a beautifully well-written story that will captivate, engage and intrigue you. This is a book you won't be able to put down and won't forget once you have closed the final page. It is a story that will stay with you forever.

I feel like the odd man out on this one, but I loved it way less than I hoped to. The first was so enjoyable and I was excited for the conclusion, but a number of situations just fell flat for me. There was a lot of repetition, Cole was just a moron so many times, Olivia forgave a few things much too easily and while I was rooting for them to come back together, this just wasn't as good as the first half.

Don't let my view put you off - this duet is a great read if you enjoy dark romance!
