Buckle up for a wild ride as Dixie Whiskey finds forever love in TAMING MY WHISKEY, a funny, sexy, and emotionally riveting standalone romance by New York Times bestselling author Melissa Foster. The perfect love story for those who enjoy fiercely loyal and insanely sexy alpha heroes, smart, sassy heroines, strong family bonds, bikers, babies, and more!

In USA Today Bestseller TAMING MY WHISKEY...
Being the princess of the Dark Knights motorcycle club doesn’t come with a white knight or a fairy-tale castle, and that’s okay, because Dixie Whiskey has never needed a man to slay her dragons or make her whole. Even so, after watching each of her brothers fall in love, she’d sure like a shot at her own happily ever after. But with the Dark Knights watching over her and the only man she’s ever wanted out of reach, she’s not holding her breath.

As the launch of Silver-Stone Cycles’ biggest line approaches, Jace Stone is left needing a favor from the one woman who holds the power to take him to his knees. He knows when it comes to sinfully gorgeous and sharp-tongued Dixie Whiskey, he must stay on his toes and keep his walls firmly in place. But Jace needs her for his business—and Jace Stone always gets what he wants.

When the tall, gruff, and darkly handsome biker presents an opportunity that any other woman might see as the chance of a lifetime, Dixie turns him down flat. But Jace is determined, and he pulls out all the stops—sending Dixie’s overprotective brothers up in arms. Rebellious Dixie takes a stand—going after the freedom, and the man, she’s always wanted. One scorching kiss leads to an undeniable connection, but Jace isn't looking to be tied down, and Dixie refuses to play second fiddle. Can two untamable hearts find forever love in each other’s arms?

I've been looking forward to really meeting Dixie Whiskey ever since I read and fell in love with the first book of the series, Tru Blue. I knew to expect plenty of sweet moments, a rugged and strong alpha, and for Dixie to be a little minx. I wasn't disappointed. Dixie was a woman who knew her worth and wasn't willing to settle for less. She wanted what everyone around her had found - true love. And only one man fit all of her requirements. Only one man has haunted her mind and her heart for years. Could she tempt Jace Stone into putting down roots and finally laying his claim on her?

Dixie Whiskey had cast a spell on him and he had no idea how, or if, he'd ever recover.

I happened to really love this story. Who could complain when the author gave us such compelling characters. Jace was gunshy, reluctant to settle down, and he didn't make promises he couldn't keep. But he had hungered for Dixie for years. And when they finally gave things a shot, he soon realized that everything he had worked for, the man he had become, was nothing without her. His transformation was beautiful. Dixie gave as good as she got and she challenged him. I loved their back and forth, their connection. Taming My Whiskey gave me all that I could ask for.

I have been waiting for Dixie’s story from the moment Ms. Foster introduced to the Whiskey family. I admired Dixie’s fiery spirit and tough girl persona and I could not wait for her to get her happily ever after. However, for a woman like Dixie no ordinary man would do. She would need a man who could stand up to her overprotective brothers, one who could tame her, but allow her to remain strong and independent. Jace Stone proved to be that man.

Dixie has been crushing on Jace from she was 18 years of age. Jace, however kept his distance, because he knew Dixie deserved a man who could give her forever. Ten years later, Dixie’s feelings for Jace has grown, and Jace continued to keep his distance. However, when Jace recognized that Dixie would be perfect as the face of his new line for female bikers, his plans to keep his distance was no longer an option.

I loved these two together. They were both strong characters and perfect for each other. The chemistry between them sizzled, causing temperatures to spike. Their time spent together was a mixture of tender and passionate moments.

It took Jace awhile to realize how he felt about Dixie, but it was a joy to watch when he did. He would learn how difficult it is to ignore love when it comes knocking. As a businessperson he was as smart as a whip, but when it came to expressing his feelings to Dixie he clueless.

It was fun reconnecting with characters from the previous books and getting a peek into their lives since the release of their stories. It is unnecessary to read the series in order, but I highly recommend reading the other couples’ story.

Melissa Foster outdid herself with this story. She had me laughing and crying alongside the characters. There was never a dull moment. Taming My Whiskey delivered all I expected.

Conclusion/Recommendation
This was a great addition to the series and I am looking forward to the next book. Fans of romance, which features a strong female lead and a hot alpha male, would enjoy this latest offering from Melissa Foster.

I do like the overall of the concept. A childhood crush that turns into much more. The chemistry is also good.
However I found the plot is stagnan in the middle.

On the middle toward the end of the story the writing/ plot becomes slow and dragging. The dilema that the characters facing is repeating over and over again.
Maube if the length can be shorter, the story becomes more interesting.

Taming My Whiskey was the sixth book in the Whiskey, Dark Knights at Peaceful Harbor series by Melissa Foster.

Dixie was the last Whiskey, the lone female sibling, to find love. How could she with three older over the top, protective, alpha biker brothers scaring any potential dates away since she was a child. She was no longer a child, but was now a gorgeous, strong, feisty and sexy red headed fireball. She was known as a ball buster - admired and respected by all.

Jace Stone was a long time friend of the Whiskey brothers. He was co-owner of the high end custom design bikes, Silver-Stone. He was a tall, gorgeous and sexy, alpha male. He was a workaholic and a wanderer, never staying in one place for long. He was launching a new line and needed a face and model for his brand. Dixie was not only the perfect woman, but the only woman who could fill the role.

I loved both characters. They were strong, fierce, loyal and lovable. I preferred less resistance and desired something sooner than was what experienced, but once we got there, I couldn’t stop reading. I totally fell in love right alongside Jace and Dixie.

True to form, it was well written and well developed. As expected, Foster had a variety of characters from all of her other series co-mingled within the storyline. I typically try to keep up with (and remember) them all, but with so many, I totally went with the flow with Taming My Whiskey. They added depth and dimension as well as continuing to set the stage for future books. We were teased with Jace’s large family - so we’ll definitely see them pop up somewhere. Next up in this series is the long awaited story for Quincy, the Gritty Truth. Additionally, we’ll finally get Justin Wicked’s story soon in the first book of The Wickeds: Dark Knights at Bayside. As always, I’m all in with Foster’s books, so bring it on!

WOW, I knew going in that this was going to be a great read but I wasn't prepared for the rawness of both Jace and Dixie's feelings and it totally blew me away.

I've been a fan of Melissa Foster's for a few years now ever since I read Sisters In Love, my first book of hers back in December of 2013, and fell in love with the way she pulled me into her stories and made me feel as if I was a part of them. Now here we are years later and she is still performing the same magic, and this time with Jace and Dixie she not only delivered a great story she delivered hope for everyone that ever held out that one day their crush would be their one true love.

Dixie met Jace at a bike rally when she was just 18 years old and she fell hard for him at first sight. Dixie is what some might call a "Tough Chick" or a "Tough Broad" but she does have her weaknesses as well only she doesn't let anyone see them, she's a Whiskey after all and she needs to be as strong as her brothers. Well, Jace loves the way Dixie is smart mouth and all and has no plans on changing that but none of that matters since he's not a forever type of guy. He has no intentions of settling down because he has his business to run which takes up all of his time.

I need to hit on a couple of things, first off the cover of this book is absolutely how Dixie and Jace are described, I don't know if Melissa Foster based the characters around the pictures of the models or she found the absolute perfect models for Jace and Dixie but either way, what you see is what you get and THANK YOU for that because its becoming a rarity that the characters in the story look anything like the cover models lately. Secondly I have to say that not only is Jace an absolute dreamy Alpha Male but Dixie has to be one of the strongest women if not the strongest that I have ever had the pleasure of reading about. She doesn't take crap from anyone, she's full of spunk, hot as heck, and she knows what she wants and wont settle for less. LOVE HER!

I am not giving any of the story away because it is something you need to experience yourself. I would suggest you have a tall glass of ice water nearby to help with cooling off, and maybe a few tissues handy.

I always recommend Melissa Foster's books and this one is no different, each book can be read as a standalone so what are you waiting for go grab your copy and see why I'm such a huge fan.

Happy Reading!!!

Spoilers ahead

I've read all the books (except the previous one ) in this series and the one consistent thing I've loved about the Whiskeys is that from the moment they went after their ladies they were 1000% committed, I expected that from Dixie's H and ended up disappointed

I won't rate this because my expectations and personal preferences made this not work for me and not the book itself

Jace and Dixie have Known each other for 10 years, he's a friend of her brothers and someone she's had a crush on since she was 18. When Jace approaches her to be on the calendar for his clothing/motorcycle line Dixie initially refuses but after understanding his concept agrees. This opens the door for the long simmering attraction between them to take center stage.....but Jace isn't ready to put down roots and Dixie's ready to find what her brothers have all found with their significant others. They have a few days together and then separate with Dixie being brokenhearted that Jace isn't willing to offer more. He eventually realizes that he can't stop thinking about her and makes his grand gesture and they get their hea

The first parts of this book I skimmed. While I enjoy previous characters making an appearance and I like the Whiskey family I haven't read any of this author's other books so I was unfamiliar with a lot of the people who appeared here

The thing is he's known her for years, how do I believe that he's suddenly so into her when he's slotted her as his friends sister for so long.... I mean it's like a flip of a switch from pseudo friends to him getting jealous if a guy talked to her and that for ME didn't work. I wanted HIM pining for her, chasing her and overcoming all obstacles to be with her just like every other H in this series had. It wasn't until almost the very end that he realized he couldn't live without her and went back to her. Thankfully, though she's had a crush on him for years, Dixie wasn't a virgin on a shelf awaiting his return. She'd dated and been with other men during the years in between. I admit it was painful to read her thoughts about him after they'd hooked up, I wanted her to date and go out until he came to his senses

The book was made up of interactions with secondary characters as well as the back and forth between Dixie and Jace. It needed something more to fill in the pages because boredom set in and I found myself skimming quite a bit

All in all this didn't work for me, nevertheless I'm here for more in this series and am intrigued by Diesel and other secondary characters who may get their own books. I like the Whiskey family and hope to see this series through to the end. Until then I'll have to settle for a reread of my boys Tru and Bear to give me the possessive Alpha fix I missed here

The storyline is average, the writing style made the difference.

▪️Jace is the kind of man no ordinary girl could think of settling with as he had a full on nomadic vibe. Idk what made Dixie think she can start a family with him.
Though he's a great personality.

▪️Dixie's character in the first half was super cool. Her badass attitude made scenes very catchy but she became a total emotional fool in the second half which was a contradiction to her original self.

***5 ‘You Wreck Me’ Stars***

Yaaassss!

I’ve been dying to know which male would be man enough to win Dixie’s heart from the first moment I met the spitfire in Truly, Madly, Whiskey and all the following books in the series did was kick that need up exponentially. So, I had high expectations for this baby when this baby was announced and this book gave me everything I wanted and so much more. The feels this one brought out were real and I simply fell further in adoration with Whiskey clan and those they call their own.

Ok. I adore Dixie. No surprise there. The woman is a true force of nature. Of course she has to be considering who her brothers are. She’s all kinds of sassy, sweet and has a truly genuine and compassionate heart that extends a lot further than many ever know. I loved that while she owns everything she is, she still has her own insecurities and wasn’t afraid to lean on others when she felt fragile.

Jace. OMG This man. No doubt, I adored him. He has his walls, big ones, but has such a good heart it’s hard to NOT fall for him ~ even when I wanted to take a 2x4 and knock some sense into him. He is all kinds of protective, determined alpha AF male and smexy as sin.

Their journey to their HEA was a fun one. Bumpy. But all kinds of fun as they both got under each other’s guards and wormed their way into each other’s hearts. The bantering was on point. The smexy was HAWT and I loved watching as they got to truly know who the other was at their very core. The bumps in the road were not unexpected, considering just how strong their personalities were and their views on how they saw their futures, but I did tend to be more #TeamDixie than Jace, it was hard not to be. But I loved how they worked through everything and where they were at in the end.

Taming My Whiskey is a great addition to the series. I got my fill of the Whiskey clan as a whole and got to meet their Wicked cousins and I cannot wait to get my hands on their books! I’m also happy that this isn’t the last we’ll be seeing of the Whiskey’s and that there are more books coming from this world!

Note: This can be read as a standalone, but to get the full impact of how close the Whiskey’s are, I highly suggest you start with Tru Blue. I promise, you won’t regret it!

It feels like we have waited a decade for Dixie's story, which is kind of fitting since she waited a decade to be claimed by Jace. But honestly Dixie has been such a part of all the Whiskey family's stories I felt like I knew her story already. She was such a strong yet caring kick arse biker princess I was dying to see who was going to get passed the Whiskey brothers and the Dark Knights to win her over.

And I didn't even think of Jace. Probably because he hasn't been that involved in any of the other books. But I loved who he was in relation to Silver Stone bikes and the connection to Bullet. It just wrapped him into the family so perfectly.

The whole relationship between Jace and Dixie was either hot as hell or angsty as hell. I felt like the book had me on a huge roller-coaster ride and I really loved every minute of it. Jace played his cards so close to his chest he left us all holding our breath to see what he was thinking. Because we knew where his heart was at and we knew the kind of man he was we just didn't know WTF he was doing.

But man when he goes big he really does it right. That last ten percent of the book wrapped it all up to perfection and I put the book down with a huge smile. I love visiting the Whiskeys and seeing new additions to the families and new relationships being formed. As well as being introduced to more cousins for more series to read.

I can't wait to get my hands on Quincey's book next because damn that boys story will be tortured. And he absolutely deserves a big huge happily ever after. And hopefully there will be some more Whiskey babies being added to the family too. I love Peaceful Harbor.

Taming My Whiskey is the first book from Melissa Foster that I have read and BAM ....this book blew my mind away. I had no idea what I was missing in not reading this author before. I have no clue why I waited so long. And I will admit what made me want to pick up this book? The cover. Yep I am that vain but those that know my reading tastes probably aren't shocked by this revelation. This is probably one of the best covers I have seen from this author. And I was so fascinated with this one. I would say this is Contemporary with a light mix of MC (but super light).

There’s only one woman in Peaceful Harbor worthy of my time, and she’s busy wrangling men for a good cause

Taming The Whiskey begins with our heroine who is the princess of Dark Knights MC. Her father is the President and she is well loved by all. She is the heart of the family and their businesses. And she has worked so hard to prove herself, which is pretty difficult with all her brothers who are tough badasses but now its her time to shine and boy does she shine so beautifully especially in her match up with Jace. Jace is tough and all alpha and not afraid of her family. He knows that she will be the perfect fit for the cover of his designer line for women bikers. Classy and sexy and that is Dixie in every way. Even though their romance starts out with a fling it turns into something Dixie has always dreamed of with her first crush.

I’d like to get every inch of my body on you and burrow so deep inside you that you still feel me the next week.

Taming The Whiskey was such a heart felt read and I fell in love with this book and what a PAGE TURNER. I just couldn't put this one down at all and I will admit I lost some sleep reading this one here....that is HOW good this one is. I will say from the beginning I fell for the Whiskey family ....every single one of them. I really adored how protective the family is over Dixie and yeah I can see how it would be difficult for Dixie to have any men in her life. They would intimidate most men. But there is one man they don't who is just as tough as they are ....Jace. Jace is a man Dixie has had a crush on for years but he has one fling after another. But until Dixie he never imagined wanting more. But Dixie will have Jace fight for her just as we see elements in the story show how she is willing to fight for her man. Loved seeing this balance and the conflict between them and reaching their beautiful HEA and the close knit family ties we see here. I can't wait to read all the books of the brothers. And if you are a Melissa Foster reader....tell me if the parents "Red and Biggs" have a book? I would dearly love their book.

Now I did want to go a bit further in the MC aspects of the story. Now this is very light in it. Probably the lightest I have ever seen to be honest. And this MC isn't like some of the others that are portrayed in the genre. They are viewed as honest law abiding citizens that reach out to help their community. And I really loved that. Now I think the only aspect of the story is I wanted more MC stronger theme. Its actually why I picked up this book and it wasn't as heavy as I would have preferred but despite that this author had me hooked and I can't wait to delve into the other books very soon.

Overall I found Taming My Whiskey to be a true delight to read and won my heart in every way....its a romance of family, trust and learning to fight for the one you love with all of your heart and soul. TRULY EMPOWERING!

I don't think I can express well enough how much I FLOVED Taming My Whiskey, like I had a book hangover for a month and all I could do was read the ARC over and over again. I just couldn't move on from this couple, from the Whiskey world, from the incredible storyline and the EXPLOSIVE CHEMISTRY...like...you do NOT understand how HOT Dixie and Jace are when they come together. There is no panty-melting, they just fly right off, like WHOOPS..see ya panties. IT WAS THAT HOT!

Don't get me wrong, the storyline is EVERYTHING!! I laughed, I CRIED (UGLY), and I swooned like SO FRIGGIN HARD for Jace Stone. My emotions were ALL OVER THE PLACE, and when I came to the last page, I just wanted to read it again and again. Their love story was BEYOND what I thought I was going to get, it literally BLEW ME AWAY and Taming My Whiskey has skyrocketed to the top of my favorite Whiskey romance list, like IT'S THAT GOOD!

Yes, this can be read as a standalone, DEFINITELY, but WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO MISS ALL THE WHISKEY MAGIC that is there to experience!! Pick up and binge-read all the other Whiskey's and I promise you will NOT BE SORRY you did! They will become a world you want to become a part of, that is how incredible these books are.

Melissa Foster couldn't have written this book any better. It was PURE PERFECTION, and if I could give it a million stars I would. It's UNPUTDOWNABLE and literally will give you the biggest book hangover ever! Do not miss Jace and Dixie's soul-touching love story!

Overall 5 out of 5 stars
Performance 5 out of 5 stars
Story 5 out of 5 stars

Dixie Whiskey amazingly strong determined . . .

Narration by a duo was most certainly the way to go her. The complement and contrast was wonderful to carry the story forward. I loved Dixie and she came across as a very strong character by both narrators.

I loved Dixie. I too loved sexy Jace. It just something about the name Jace that makes me just swoon. This Jace. For this read was all that and then some. Dixie Whiskey gets her man. Strong, sexy, alpha. Sweet, sassy, sexy (herself) Dixie finds her forever in one Jace Stone.

Dixie Whiskey gets her man. Strong, sexy, alpha. Sweet, sassy, sexy (herself) Dixie finds her forever in one Jace Stone. A decade in the making. Dixie finally had a chance with the man of her heart. She finds that this romance not as easy as it seems to look for others. It takes some hard work, some tears, some heartache, and maybe even a punch or two. With protective brothers and a brotherhood behind her she finds that getting the man of her heart will not be so easy.

I found this Whiskey romance to be real emotional and just a bit different from the others. Dixie showed a more feminine side and that just really rubbed her raw. She showed that she was more than just bark. She had a bite that a few people experienced. There was so much more to Dixie Whiskey. Jace was most certainly her match. It just took him a little bit longer to figure that all out for himself.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date October 23, 2019

The perfect love story for those who enjoy fiercely loyal and insanely sexy alpha heroes, smart, sassy heroines, strong family bonds, bikers, babies, and more!

••••••••••••

REVIEW: TAMING MY WHISKEY is the sixth instalment in Melissa Foster’s contemporary, adult THE WHISKEYS: DARK KNIGHTS OF PEACEFUL HARBOR erotic, romance series. This is only daughter, bar owner and bookkeeper Dixie Whiskey, and Silver-Stone Cycles owners/tattoo artist Jace Stone’s story line. TAMING MY WHISKEY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed where necessary. The Whiskeys series is a spin off from the author’s Bradens of Peaceful Harbor. There is a slight MC biker theme throughout the series as the Whiskeys are part of the local Dark Knights MC. Several characters cross over between series for cohesion, camaraderie, and familiarity.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Dixie and Jace ) TAMING MY WHISKEY follows the building relationship between bar owner and book keeper Dixie Whiskey, and Silver-Stone Cycles owners/tattoo artist Jace Stone. Dixie is hoping to raise money for the local women’s shelter, and a bachelor auction is the perfect venue but billionaire businessman Jace Stone has refused all of Dixie’s requests to participate. When Dixie offers herself up for auction, Jace outbids everyone else in return for a favour from our story line heroine. What ensues is the building relationship and romance between Jace and Dixie, and the fall-out when Dixie loses her heart to a man who makes no promises for the future.

Jace Stone is about to launch his upscale motorcycle line of clothing, and Dixie is the perfect person to help promote and model his fashion apparel. Jace is the perpetual bachelor, nearing forty years old, and refuses to be tied down to any one woman but something about Dixie tugs at his heart. Dixie Whiskey fell in love with Jace Stone years before but no attempts at seduction have worked their way into Jace’s heart. Hoping for her own happily ever after, Dixie struggles with her attraction to a man who doesn’t do relationships, and refuses to fall in love.

The relationship between Dixie and Jace is one of immediate attraction but Jace is too busy with his business to settle down. Having had his heart broken years before, Jace refuses to lose his heart to anyone else including the woman that he currently is unable to get out of his head. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text. The push and pull of attraction is continuously tested each time Jace Stone pulls away from the woman with whom he is falling in love.

There is a large and colorful cast of secondary and supporting characters including all of Dixie’s brothers, their significant others, and their growing families: Dr. Wayne ‘Bones’ Whiskey and his wife Sarah, and her children Bradley and Lila (Wicked Whiskey Love #4); Special Forces Veteran Bullet Whiskey and Finlay Wilson (Driving Whiskey Wild #3), biker/mechanic Bear Whiskey and his wife Crystal (Truly, Madly, Whiskey 2); as well as their parents Biggs and Wren (Red) Whiskey; Truman & Gemma (Tru Blue #1) ; Truman’s brothers and sister, Quincy, Lincoln and Kennedy; and several members of the Dark Knights MC including Dr. Jon Butterscotch, Jed and Josie (Mad About Moon #5), and Desmond Diesel Black: Dixie’s friends Penny, Tracey, and Izzy Ryder as well as Jace’s business partner Maddox Silver, and Jace’s siblings Jared, Jayla (Rush), Mia aka Jocelyn, and Jennifer.

Melissa Foster’s world building is phenomenal. Revealing a little bit of information about each of her previous characters to keep the reader informed about the who, how and why, and how each characters adds color and continuity to the growing story line..

TAMING MY WHISKEY is an emotional story of family, friendship and unrequited love. I may have shed a tear or three every time Dixie’s heart broke a little bit more. The premise is spicy and inspiring: the characters are sassy, sexy and stubborn; the romance is sensitive, realistic and passionate. TAMING MY WHISKEY is a beautiful and uplifting story of love and courage; understanding and inspiration.

I have been craving Dixie Whiskey's story since I first met her way back in Tru's story. I was worried how this story would stack up, as you know how you can be disappointed when you have high expectations.

Ms Foster has definitely delivered with Taming My Whiskey.

I mean, I want to be her when I grow up! Strong, loving, and completely consistent when it comes to what - or who - she wants. I loved how she stood up to her family when needed, especially her brother Bullet.

And that's Jace. Jace whom I had a love/hate relationship with as I read. Mostly I loved him, however there were times when he did/said things and I had a raging hate on for him. I hate how he made me (and the lovely Dixie) feel and wanted to smash him over the head with my Kindle lol. He a bit of an enigma wrapped in a riddle that one.

The push/pull between our lovelies keeps the tension ratcheted right up. You know what you want to happen, what needs to happen, however you never know if it is going to happen.

I loved seeing more of the Whiskey family, as well as the other families/characters that cross over into this one (though keeping my head around who is who at times had me scrambling!)

Ms Foster always leaves me smiling, and Taming My Whiskey is now up there at the top of my list of her favourite stories.

I can't wait to see where we go next.

Taming My Whiskey by Melissa Foster is the 6th book in The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Peaceful Harbor Series. This is the story of Dixie Whiskey and Jace Stone. I have read (and Loved!) the previous book but feel you could make it a standalone book if you wanted but I do think I enjoyed this one more because I have read the previous book. Dixie is somewhat of the princess of the Dark Knights Motorcycle club where her over protective family keeps in in line and protected. Dixie has seen her brothers find their happy ever after and is envious even if she is strong and can be self dependent. But there has always been one man that she could see more with but he isn't willing it seems. Jace knows that being close to Dixie could bring him to acknowledge how he really feels for her but he trying to fight it one look at a time. But he needs her to help him with his Silver-Stone Cycles business...but she isn't going for it.
This was a fun, hot page turning read. Loved it.

I want to be Dixie Whiskey when I grow up! I have been very keen for Dixie's book, from the moment we first met her. I was definitely not let down.

Dixie is so amazingly strong and I love how she stands up for herself and holds her own amongst her brothers and anyone else around. She handles everything extremely well, and she's just a smart, sassy, fun, loving amazing character.

Jace is an enigma all of his own, and I enjoyed getting to know his character as well. He has much more depth to him than you would originally think.

The push and pull between Dixie and Jace is quite entertaining, and I even though at times I wanted to push them to get their acts together, I still loved every minute of this book and couldn't put it down.

Highly recommend and can't wait for more from this gang.

* I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own *

This is the story of Dixie Whiskey, and after all her brothers have all found love, she see that it is now her time, if only she could get them to back off for a while.
Jace Stone is launching his biggest line of Silver-Stone Cycles but he needs a favour from the one woman, but Dixie wants nothing to do with him. But when Jace’s determination sends her brothers on an over protective streak, she decides to stand her ground and go after the man she always wanted .
Can two determined people make the relationship work.
Another great story my Melissa Foster and look forward to the next instalment.

Before I go into the story’s greatness, I have to say one thing. This cover delivered 1000% and that fact is becoming more and more rare as years keep passing. Used to be I could look at a cover and pretty much tell you, at the very least, the level of heat a story would have. That isn’t the case any longer. More often than not, covers sometimes have zero to do with the story or the character plastered on it LOL (but that’s a discussing for another time) Dixie and Jace delivered in spark and chemistry, just as their cover promised so props to you, Melissa!!

Dixie Whiskey is my kinda people!
Thank you Melissa for creating a super sassy, classy, knows what she wants and goes for it, purposeful, determined and all around badd-ass female lead I could root for from beginning to end.
Thank you Melissa for creating an alpha bad-ass, determined, purposeful, stop at nothing to get his girl male lead!
Thank you Melissa for creating a story-line that surprised me and captivated me and was relatable.

I have to tell you guys; this may possibly be one of my top reads from this author. I know I say this a lot with her, but she has ridiculous story-telling talent and she gave us 100% and then some with this one. She continues to top herself over and over again. Yes, there are some (very rare) that haven’t hit the mark for me, but her word wizardry is just frikkin top notch! This story wasn’t just sexy, it was fun, it was full on emotion and made me want to jump into the story and become their friend!

If there’s anyone out there that loves to read romance fiction and has yet to pick up a book written by this woman, I’m seriously sorry for you. Just do it. Do it now.

When the man she's crushed on for years corners Dixie Whiskey at her bar and asks her to be the face of his new line of clothing, she doesn't even consider it. Why? Because she refuses to be the second or third choice, to be anything other than anyone's first choice. All she wants is the kind of love her brothers have all found, the kind of love her parents, Biggs and Red, share. Is that honestly too much to ask?

It just might be too much, though, to ask of Jace, the man who doesn't make promises, who refuses to settle down and plant some roots. Sigh... But Jace is having a really, really hard time getting Dixie out of his mind after they spend some time together. Can he man up and give her his heart? Even though it's not something he's ever wanted to do in the past? Even though her VERY PROTECTIVE, BIG AND BURLY brothers might pound him into dust for daring to mess with their baby sister?

Dang can I relate to Dixie! I don't have more than one overprotective af brother, but one is enough, and he made dating and finding love very difficult for me. I had to find a guy literally hundreds of miles away 🤣 Dixie, she's a warrior queen, though, and she knew she deserved nothing but the best, nothing but to be loved and put first, and she made Jace (and her brothers too!) put in the work, and I absolutely LOVE that about her! Although I haven't read any of the other stories in the Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Peaceful Harbor series, I fell in love with them all here, and am now looking forward to reading The Gritty Truth, and all the previous ones.

Bring the Whiskey fever! In Dixie’s story, she might not believe in fairy tales and having three overbearing brothers to protect her was already enough but what about a determined man who was chasing her?

Definitely tempting but no one has ever succeeded to do that but Jace Stone? That man was sinfully hot, cocky and confident in his own skin but never settling down. Married to his job like Dixie was.

These two had known each other for years but never acting on their chemistry. Until they teamed up and finally realized that there were more than they were letting on. But with a commitment phobe man and a woman who didn’t want to be tamed but wanting the real deal, it was a recipe for disaster, and probably ending in heartbreak.

I love Melissa Foster’s brave and fierce heroine. Dixie was trying to live her life in her terms and not behind her brothers’ shadows. She could handle herself for sure, as a successful business woman and badass and confident. Family was important to her and once you get involved with a Whiskey you definitely marry all the family.

Jace Stone has been distracted from work like ever. Until a feisty red haired woman with a mouthful personality and who did my give a damn about what people think consumed his thoughts. Like no one else. I adored the alpha vibes and it was kinda entertaining to see that man under Dixie’s spell, but also so confused about his true feelings.

They were so right for each other but no really willing to give their hearts and letting go. Actions speak louder than words and these two were the perfect example. The characters were fierce, caring and true to themselves. It was all or nothing and I adored this slow burn and sensual dance that progressively turned into the real deal.

Damn my heart... Dixie and Jace frustrated the hell out of me but it was worth the journey!!

A story that took slowly its time to find a way into my heart. I didn't think I would be so moved by their story, I’ve been swept off my feet. Literally.

Passionate, caring and heartwarming with a strong hint of smoking hot slow burn romance that definitely melt my heart. Dixie was just my hero here. A strong woman who has found her match and no settling for less. Just for true love and never letting go. Once you’ve got a shot of Whiskey, you will want more for sure. The author created such a wonderful world with the whiskey and The Dark Nights.

I have a book hangover and I can’t wait to read more!

This latest installment in her Whiskey series is about the one and only Whiskey daughter, Dixie, and the sexy quiet Jace Stone. Jace is in a bind with a business situation and Dixie is busy prepping for her charity bachelor auction when Jace shows up with a proposition that Dixie refuses. But the always stubborn Jace doesn’t give up too easily and luckily for him, Dixie sees an opportunity to stand up to her overprotective brothers and live her own life. Little does the other know that they may have always had a little crush on each other, but unfortunately, they don’t have the same dreams when it comes to romance and relationships.

I was so happy when I saw that Dixie was finally getting her own story and I absolutely adored this book! Dixie has always been beautiful and kind but also badass and a bit rough around the edges. However, Melissa Foster has painted a completely different picture of Dixie in Taming My Whiskey which made me love her character even more than I already did.

I have no idea where Jace came from, but oh how glad I am to have met his character. I’ve wracked my brain trying to remember him from earlier books and just can’t place him. However, all that matters now is that I have fallen head over heels for this character. Tall, hot, sexy, tatted biker – check. Sweet, caring, family-oriented guy – check. A successful, creative, and very wealthy business owner (although you would never know it) – check. He’s almost too perfect, but don’t worry, some flaws rear their ugly heads. How about calling or texting a girl Jace???

Jace wasn’t the only one with flaws, of course, but each of their issues and fears made their story that much more romantic and it was filled with the suspense of what would happen next with this incredible duo. There was sexual tension, heart-break tension, and at times, tension related to the question of, “will Jace end up being beaten to death by Dixie’s brothers before this is all said and done?” But there were also endless happy moments and a ton of humor that contributed to this being such an engaging and romantic book that I could not put down.

I can’t decide which of Melissa Foster’s series that I love the best, which is a good thing since so many of the characters cross into other novels, but I have always had a soft spot for the Whiskey family. Technically, this could be read as a stand-alone but I highly suggest starting at the beginning of this series so you’ll have a crystal clear understanding of Dixie’s life growing up with brothers and an entire motorcycle club scaring away any potential guys before she ever got a chance to get to know them. I highly recommend this to any contemporary romance fans, but especially those that are into dreamy, romantic, yummy biker guys! This was an amazing story that I know I will go back and read again.

I’ve been waiting in Dixie Whiskey’s book for what has felt like forever, so when I received a copy I was ridiculously excited! I’ve always wondered who in the Whiskey world would be man enough and tough enough to take on a storm like Dixie!

Being the only girl out of four children, Dixie has always been determined to stand up for herself, and prove to anyone and everyone, that anything her brothers could do, she could also achieve. She also has determination to strive for anything she wants, and is driven and a real go getter.

What I’ve always loved about Dixie, is that she is totally badass, she takes no crap from anyone and has a sassy mouth that you can’t help but love and laugh at. You always assume she’s comfortable in her own skin, but in this book you learn the many layers of Dixie Lee, and that behind the leather, lace and tattoos she’s a woman with a big heart who is hopeful to find someone to love.

From what we’ve learnt in previous books, ‘when a Whiskey gives their heart away, they don’t ever get them back’, and I absolutely adored Jace and Dixie’s romance.

Jace Stone is a businessman, he designs motorbikes and has always held Dixie in high regard. He has admired her from afar, initially knowing she was perhaps too young for him, but eventually you learn his real intentions.

He is strong, driven and he is not afraid to give everything he’s got in order to get what he wants. So when he pegs Dixie as the model in his mind for his new Leather and Lace range, he cannot be deterred. He throws all he’s got into attempting to get her to agree to starring in a calendar.

Much to the Whiskey brother’s discontent, Jace is not afraid to stand up for his ideas and for Dixie. He understands her brothers need to protect, but also is not afraid to show his alpha side, which you completely respect.

The thing I love the most about Jace is he’s not perfect, he’s been used to putting himself first, so initially he struggles to incorporate Dixie in his life. But the one thing he’s always known, is that he needs her in some capacity. Their chemistry is on fire, and this book had me feeling all highs and lows.

When Dixie feels hurt and heartbroken, you can’t help but cry with her, but when Jace heals her heart and makes things right, you can’t help but love him also for who he is!

As per all of Foster’s books, I was excited to catch up with my other fave Whiskey’s, revelling in all of their happily ever after.

This book is an amazing addition to the Whiskey series, but can also be read as a stand-alone. It is the perfect read for all hot romance lovers, and someone wanting to become completely immersed in a series. Thoroughly entertaining read.

My fave quote from this book has to be “Fate is not to be f***** with. That bitch blows into your life at full speed, rides right up to you so you can smell her power, and then she lets you know who is in charge by leaving you to wonder if you’ll ever feel whole again.”

5 Star Review of Taming My Whiskey (The Whiskeys: The Dark Knights at Peaceful Harbour #6) by Melissa Foster

I have read and enjoyed all the previous books in this series. Having said that, Taming My Whiskey can be read as a stand alone, although honestly if you have the time I would read them all. I think you will find this a highly addictive series to read, I know I did. This was an emotional and hot story that captivated me from the first to the last chapter. I love this series, the characters are so well developed and Melissa Foster’s writing so descriptive that I feel as though I am apart of the Whiskey family and Peaceful Harbour.

I have been waiting for Dixie Whiskey to get her story; I knew that it would be worth waiting for and I was right. I also knew that the man who would win Dixie’s heart would need to be someone truly special and that is most certainly Jace Stone

As I have come to expect from a Melissa Foster story, this was extremely well written and an absolute pleasure to read. Jace Stone is a total alpha male who ticked all the boxes for me and Dixie is perfect for him. I love her feisty spirit, her unbridled passion for life and her love of family.

Although Jace is determined not to settle down he cannot deny his feelings for Dixie whilst she is equally determined that she will not come second to anyone or anything.
The passion and love between Dixie and Jace is intense, the air crackles when they are together but can two total Alpha’s come together as equals or will they tear each other apart?

Being the younger sister to three alpha older brothers has been a blessing and a curse. A blessing because Dixie learned at a young age to be strong and not allow anyone to count her out. But also a curse when your love life never gets too far. But when Jace knows who he wants to be the spokes model for his new motorcycle/clothing line only Dixie will fit the bill. But will the headstrong Dixie allow herself the opportunity to work with the one man she has had a crush on since she was a teenager? Or will this working relationship have benefits but no commitment? I have loved this family from book one and I could not wait for Dixie to get her story told and once again Melissa Foster did not disappoint!! This was a sexy, emotional story that allowed some walls to be taken down while at the same time opening hearts to finding true love. I truly enjoyed reading the family connections that both Dixie and Jace have as well as reading a love story that I could not put down.

Melissa Foster returns to her world of the Whiskeys with Taming My Whiskey, the sixth installment in her beloved series. While you do not have to read the previous books, but if you have, you’ll recognize many of the characters, including Jace and Dixie, and enjoy catching up with them. They’ve been friends for years and immensely attracted to each other, but they’ve always held back. Their relationship begins to shift when Jace convinces Dixie to model for his new motorcycle calendar, and she gives the gruff, sexy alpha-biker a run for his money, which is just what he needs. They are incredibly likable, have explosive chemistry and prove to be perfectly-matched equals, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of their playful, tender, steamy and entertaining romance.

WOW!!! I have been waiting for Dixie's book ever since we met her in River of Love. She is fierce, badass and takes s*@t from no one. I love that she rides motorcycles and works in her family's bar and auto shop but she is smart and can be girly too. She has watched all of her brothers fall in love and wants the same for herself. With 3 brothers, a father and all of the Dark Knights always around falling in love is not a easy task.

Jace Stone has it all. A successful motorcycle business and he is about to launch his biker apparel line that he designed with Jillian Braden. To bring the collection to the world he wants to do a calendar shoot but that idea comes to a halt when his model gets injured and has to back out. Jace wants an authentic biker, someone who knows and lives the lifestyle. This person will not only model the clothes but they will be the face of Silver-Stone Cycles. With his model out he thinks of his only and perfect option of Dixie Whiskey. However getting her to agree to do it is not a easy task.

This book was totally worth the wait. It has it all! Seeing these two come together lights the book pages on fire. They are hot together and seeing them both in a different light is so refreshing. I can't wait to read more about these two. They are definitely my favorite "Whiskey" couple.

Taming My Whiskey is book six of The Whiskeys: Dark Knights At Peaceful Harbor series.

This is a hot romance with a motorcycle theme. This book gives Dixie Whiskey her chance of romance and one that fans have been waiting a long time for. Dixie has had a crush on mototcycle designer Jace Stone since she was a teenager, but for years she's only been someone's sister, or so she thought.

Jace Stone knew that Dixie was the one from the first moment that they met, but he's been holding back his feelings for her. However, his initial need for Dixie is to help launch his new women's motorbike range with an exciting photo shoot.

Dixie's story was always going to be filled with passion and this book lived up to those expectations. A really good addition to the series.
