Irrevocable (The Exiled Eight MC Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 1,837 ratings

Our pasts were a part of us.
Definitively.
Irrevocably.
Mine hijacked my dreams every night, drowning me in guilt and staining my hands red.
It wasn’t just a part of me, it stole a piece of me—the piece that stopped me from letting people get too close.
And I’d become pretty damn good at playing the untouchable asshole card just to keep them away.
But apparently, Dakota Samuels didn’t get that memo.
From the moment she accidentally walked in on me naked, she began to demolish any and every wall I’d ever built.
She was sexy and tenacious.
And I was addicted to the way she looked at me.
To the way she fought for me.
To the way her body felt beneath mine.
We were both done with running from the demons of our pasts.
They were going to find us.
They were going to try and destroy us.
And they may have won before, but like hell I was going to let them take her from me too.
Because if they tried, this time the blood I saw in my dreams would be theirs.

Addison Jane is a born and bred kiwi girl with a passion for romance and writing.

When she gets the chance, she enjoys the little things in life such as reading, dancing, music, and travel, but her world really revolves around the teenager who calls her Mum. It's an interesting balance between alpha males and dance classes but it works.

Growing up on a small farm next to the beach will always make her a country girl at heart. But since moving away to a small town close to the city she's discovered a dangerous love for shopping.

Writing stories has been something that’s come naturally since she was young, and with the massive support of her friends and family, she finally decided to step out of her comfort zone and share them with the world.

She enjoys bringing her books to life with strong female leads, sexy passionate men and a rollercoaster of twists and turns that lead to the happily ever after that her readers desire.

The story has potential and writing is good. Unfortunately, plot and storyline for me is lacking. FMC has MC and cop brother but she decides to handle stuff herself and as said by herself not in very smart way. I just don’t want to waste my time continuing with this predictable story. MC books for me are about the brotherhood, how the club works which here was quite lacking as well. And if you have such a backup behind your back why would you fix and make stupid decisions. Why when both clubs are so strong we leave everything on the FMC to fix pretty much. So it’s a no for me, I need more in my books to keep me interested

I absolutely loved Dakota and Rip's story. With Dakota not being one to sugar coat things and Rip's addiction to pushing her buttons and lighting her fire had me gripped from beginning to end!

5.0 out of 5 stars What a way to kick off the Exiled Eight!

What a way to start a new series! Addison Jane is a master at writing a MC story that is dramatic, sexy, and captivating. I know I will always get a great story with excellent character development that pulls every emotion out of me. But I absolutely adored Irrevocable. The more Dakota and Ripley denied their feelings the more they fell for each other. Their banter was witty and hilarious but the protective actions towards one another was heartwarming and beautiful. This couple had major sizzling chemistry. The Exiled Eight is going to be a wild ride!

I absolutely love reading books by Addison Jane. Her characters are wonderful and in my opinion always asked to be read over and over again. In this as story I absolutely loved Dakota. She was a strong person and just right for Ripley.

This story really is a great book to read and you won't be disappointed. As the men say when you know you know and Ripley certainly knew.

5.0 out of 5 stars An enemy out for blood will do whatever it takes to destroy his MC
Reviewed in the United States on 10 February 2022
I do NOT consider this to be a STAND-ALONE read!! It is the start of a new series, but it is also a spin-off from The Club Girl and Phoenix Club Girl Diaries. If you have not read the previous series, I recommend they be read by publication date, otherwise this story will not be complete. There are multiple reoccurring characters, concurrent timelines, as well as references to scenes and details that cannot be fully captured within another story.

⛔️ Contains references to, or scenes detailing, subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some, including: adult language; derogatory terms; mental health challenges; steamy adult intimate scenes with dominance, submission, restraints, spanking for pleasure and punishment, multiple partners, etc.; violence stereotypical of the genre such as kidnapping, abduction, murder, death, torture, assault, fighting, betrayal, coercion, blackmail, threats, subterfuge, rape, attempted rape, human trafficking of females and children, drug use, bullying, drug manufacturing, drug trafficking, money laundering, gun running, illegal gambling, prostitution, child neglect, etc.

** Caution: Contains scenes with graphic violence against females and children that fit into the storyline, but may be a trigger for some **

There are grammatical issues, primarily incorrect word choice, incorrect word tense, missing words, incorrect punctuation, and extra inserted words. I am mentioning these for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow. I uploaded my notes to goodreads for anyone interested.

Dakota and Ripley are explosive! The chemistry between the two has been building for a couple of stories now, so it was great to finally see the two of them come together. Both have experienced their own pain when it comes to parents, but this gives them an understanding that only could come from having experienced it personally.

Irrevocable is Ripley & Dakota's story, it got all the ingredients + extra for an intriguing and entertaining book. From page 1 it was like watching 4th of July fireworks go off, great story with plenty of twist and turns, interesting beautiful imperfect characters, 11 out 10 chemistry between Ripley and Dakota, even though they both were a bit slow and stubborn to realise it, a bit of violence, MC family, heartbreak and nightmare all wrapped up in a beautiful book
