I’d spent most of my life running.
My past right on my heels.
But when you take down society’s most dark and twisted elite, there isn’t a place on earth you can hide.
I’d shattered their secrets, and they wanted revenge.
Only, to get to me, they would have to go through him.
Huntsman wasn’t just the president of The Exiled Eight MC.
He was dangerous.
He was arrogant.
And he was pure alpha.
Yet, I’d never felt safer than I did in his arms.

He was willing to kill for me.
And they were coming to take my life.
Only one of us was going to come out of this alive.

Huntsman has been a hugely anticipated character for a long while and I can say with confidence that his story was worth the wait.

But it wasn't what I expected.

Huntsman has had his trials and tribulations through life and he's closed off by nature but his experiences only made those traits worse. He has to be strong, he's a leader who others rely on and not only that.. he's a father. I've got to say he frustrated more than once but I suppose in the world of alphas.. they ain't doing it right if they don't make you want to jump through the pages a time or two and junkpunch them. Aside from the frustration, he also surprised me with his vulnerability and his sweet dedication to his kids and those he loved. Under all that alpha president is a good genuine man. Flawed but so damn fine.

Zoey oh she knocked the wind right outta my sails. The strength it took for her to not only survive but thrive. Unmatched. She is the hero in her own story and will always be. Period. A strong woman who did right by her daughter. Who learnt and grew and evolved into something even she didn't see coming. I loved her. And better yet I loved her for Huntsman. She brought out a side to him that was just for her. She also wasn't afraid to sass him whenever he got out of line and lord knows the man needed to be knocked down a peg or 20 a time or two. She was a fierce mom and great person who then became a loyal friend and loving partner.

These two had me in my feels because they took the weight off of one another in a special way. Both characters are haunted by the past and they had a lot to work through but their journey had me completely invested from day one. The chemistry and building tension is everything. The bickering, banter and sass, oh it only served to push them closer in the best ways whilst having me laughing my ass off at their antics. I just loved them together and despite all the crazy they had going on they felt so wholesome. Like it was always meant to be.

The side characters as always gave me life in this story and I especially loved Blair, Zoey's daughter and the bond she grew to have with Huntsman and his boys. It was so sweet and it felt so natural. I adored her sassy attitude and the strength she showed being the age she was in the situation she found herself in. The girl did good. And I'm intrigued about her and Cole and where that could go.

So to wrap it up this book hit right from all angles. It's emotional and testing at times but it's a journey filled with growth and development and it surprised me in many ways. Their stories aren't easy but I promise it was worth the ride. Plus... the humour and shenanigans that happen in here will have you cracking up. What's not to love when you can laugh, cry, rant and fall in love all in the same book and be left feeling wholly satisfied at the end.

Now.. gimme Drake.

I felt for Zoey and all that she had been through and all that she did to keep Blair safe. You wouldn't think this latest stop would be a good place for them, but it ended up being the best place. First off there was the attraction between Zoey and Huntsman, then there was the MC as a whole being there for both Zoey and Blair, giving them a safe place, a place to belong and a family they missed while they where on the run. And that is not even touching what was done to all of those that hurt Zoey, just knowing they wouldn't come after her any more was perfect!

Loved how this one ended, loved seeing Blair so vulnerable with her big ask of Huntsman in front of the whole club and how everyone reacted.

It was good. It had the MC things I wanted plus a big bump up in the found family part.
But…it also had the whole *walks in on him getting a blowjob* trope that I absolutely abhor. I seriously thought about just DNFing right then, but I pushed through the distaste, loved how much she shuts him down. And the fact that it’s their very first meeting, and it’s mentioned right after that he didn’t ✨finish✨, made it tolerable enough to get over in this case. 🤷🏻‍♀️ (still don’t think it was necessary but whatever)

What a ride!

Zoey has spent most of her life running from the people who exploited her as a teenager. All she wants is to keep her daughter, Blair, safe. That proves to be hard when the people she put away are released from prison. Huntsman, President of the Exiled Eight MC, will protect them no matter what. Even if it also includes pushing Zoey away. He knows he’s no good for her anyway, he thinks he’ll just let another person down.

Zoey is a force - she’s is so strong and determined. She does whatever she needs to protect her daughter. I wasn’t so sure about Huntsman at first but he grew on me. Love how protective he is of his club and the people in his life. ADORED his and Blair’s relationship. The ending 😭😍

A great book to read. I was hooked right from the start. The characters are likable and I enjoyed the journey they each took throughout the book. The story was action packed, but not over the top.

OMG! Huntsman can protect me anytime! Highly Recommend

This is the second story in the Exiled Eight MC series. While I highly recommend these be read in publication order, it is not absolutely necessary. Just be aware that there are multiple reoccurring characters, consecutive timelines, details that cannot be adequately covered from previous stories and overarching themes.

⛔️ Contains references to, or scenes detailing, subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some, including: adult language; derogatory terms; mental health challenges; steamy adult intimate scenes with dominance, submission, restraints, spanking for pleasure and punishment, multiple partners, etc.; violence stereotypical of the genre such as kidnapping, abduction, murder, death, torture, assault, fighting, betrayal, coercion, blackmail, threats, subterfuge, rape, attempted rape, human trafficking of females and children, drug use, bullying, drug manufacturing, drug trafficking, money laundering, gun running, illegal gambling, prostitution, etc.

** Caution: Contains scenes with graphic violence against females and children that fit into the storyline, but may be a trigger for some **

There are several grammatical issues throughout the story, but nothing too difficult to interpret. Mainly these are missing incorrect words, capitalization issues, incorrect punctuation, missing words, and extra inserted words. I am mentioning these for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow.

The infamous Huntsman may have met his match, but not in any way he thought. Zoey and her daughter, Blair, have been on the run for a very long time. She has always had to fight for everything and wants nothing more than to do well and hope that the two of them can settle in one place for a while.

Zoey has had a hard life. She was abused and taken advantage of when she was a teenager. Then with the assistance of an undercover agent, she was able to get out and put a lot of them in prison. Fast forward 16 years and Zoey feels like maybe all of the hard work over the years was finally paying off.

Unfortunately she is not aware that the former agent that helped her has reached out to Huntsman. Some of the people have been mysteriously released early from prison and he wants Zoey and Blair in Las Vegas where Huntsman could watch over them.

What will happen if Zoey finds out that Huntsman is aware of her past? She left Witness Protection for a reason … after the way the government handled everything and the people from her past, it is clear that Zoey has trust issues …

Good read, but missing things to make it great for me. The author is very vague about the description of characters, so I had a hard time imagining them. Usually you know hair, height, eye color etc... but in this book I know Huntsman is around the same height as Zoey and there's one very brief mention at the end that Zoey is blonde. It was a little weird to me as I was reading it. The ending also fell flat for me even though there was supposed to be some sweet moments, it seemed too forced though.

3/5⭐️
2/5🌶

So I’ll admit, it has been while since I binged Addison Jane’s club girl diaries but I still understood this story completely so it can fully be read as a standalone. It was a pretty standard MC story and I feel like it ticked most of the standard MC boxes. I enjoyed all the characters and the relationship between Huntmans and Zoey, however they definitely suffered from a chase of instalove. Additionally the ending was a tad too dramatic for me and felt too predictable. I would recommend this if you’re a fan of Addison Jane but there are much better MC stories out there.

Really good, but a few plot errors spoilt it, & he’s awful to her at first.

I did enjoy reading this book, but there are a lot of plot errors, and I still don’t have a clue what Zoey looks like!

Zoey/ Angie has been on the run for 16 years with her daughter, after she put some evil people in prison. Huntsman is the president of The Exiled Eight Mc, and Zoey’s new boss. Huntsman knows all about her past, and has been asked to look out for her, by an FBI agent. So why when he knows all about her is he so rude, and makes sexual comments to her on their first meeting???? 😡😡😡 I very nearly gave up on the book at this point, but I’m glad I didn’t as it got better.

As the danger closes in on Zoey and her daughter Blair, Huntsman steps up to protect them. Finally! It took him a while to decide whether he wanted the hassle for the club!!! Of course they fall into bed together, and have wild passionate sex, and fall madly in love. They’re one big happy family. Sorry but I didn’t see how anyone could fall in love with him. Putting aside how he was with her when they first met, he’s not emotionally there for her. He thinks it’s because she’s a strong person, but she just needs a hug.

There are a few plot holes which I’ve put below. While I did enjoy this book, there are too many errors for me. The Mc really doesn’t feel like a normal Mc, and I really wanted to know his real name. Not his Mc name.

**************PLOT SPOILERS AHEAD**************

Huntsman hasn’t told anyone about her past, and the FBI asking him to give her a job. Later on in the book his vice president knows as he told him straight away.
How did she apply for the job? The FBI man tells Huntsman to give her a job, but no explanation about how she knew about it.
Zoey who was raped as a kid, by several men, doesn’t have any anxiety about sex??? She just jumps into bed with Huntsman, without any anxiety? She didn’t have any trauma counselling to help her. Why?
The FBI we’re keeping tabs on her, but didn’t think to tell her she’s in danger.
Zoey is injured near the end, and Huntsman takes her in a swimming pool, when she gets out of hospital. No concerns about her stitches getting wet?

A fantastic story!

This was a fantastic story that had a lot of heartbreaking situations, horrific pasts, and emotional trauma. However, after a not so chance meeting and job offer, things finally seem to be looking up for this single mom and teenage daughter. Unfortunately, the past never seems to stay behind for long, but fortunately they have a lot of new friends who are willing to make sure that they're not alone anymore. It's certainly going to be interesting!
I loved learning more about this club, as well as the infamous Huntman, and really hope to see more stories coming up soon! I would highly recommend that you read the Club Girl Diaries series, preferably prior to starting this one, although it's not necessary. It will give you a better understanding of some of the characters, the different clubs, and the dynamics between them. They're all absolutely fantastic stories, and you definitely won't be disappointed!
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

a lot more to this book than I anticipated

Well written. Well organized. The story unfolds really well, the pace is great and the storyline doesn’t feel forced. It’s a well crafted book.
Sorry focuses on a mom and daughter with a close bond who move around frequently. The reasons for this are sad, however both have strong personalities and an equally strong drive to survive and thrive. Zoey the mom is a designer, she stages apartments for sale, the daughter Blair is a high school student. Zoey’s work brings her into contact with the local MC who she works with through their construction and development corporation.
Huntsman is MC for life. He’s the president of the club and sounds like a sexy older man. He’s a bit murderous and promiscuous, he’s a gem. Very strong connection between Huntsman and Zoey; the way it’s written it’s palpable I can totally feel it as I’m reading. I wanted them together. They interested me and seemed better off together then apart. Thankfully Zoey’s running days are over, Huntsman’s caught his greatest prize in her and Blair.

My book of 2022 ❤️

By far , the best book I have read this yr. I cannot wait to read more from this gifted author.

Zoey has had a truly awful upbringing. A mother herself when she was just sixteen by the most horrendous of circumstances. But her daughter Blair is a wonderful young woman. They both have bn on the run for a long long time.

Zoey meets Huntsman when she needs to get his signature on important paperwork. Their 1st meeting is , well I'll just say , caught with his pants down !! Pants down or not, this guy is all alpha & really we all need a Huntsman in our lives . When he loves, he loves hard & with all his heart ❤️.
What I loved about this book was Everything. The communication between all the characters, the highs, the lows & the tough parts to read.
I loved this book so much I read it twice! I have no doubt I will read it again & again.
Do yourself a favour & read EVERY SINGLE WORD of this fabulous book 📖❤️.

Thank you Addison Jane for your gifted words 👏. If I could I would give it 10 🌟

First off, again thank you to GiveMeBooks PR for this free ARC copy. In preparation for the release of the third book in this series, Innocent, they sent me books 1 AND 2 (shocked face). So thank you again!!

I was so excited to finally get the full length version of Huntsman’s story, which was previously released as a novella in the Twisted Steel Anthology. There were scenes from the novella that were kept, but I was happy they were because with this full length novel, Addison was able to dive more into Huntsman and Zoe’s story.

Zoe’s story is one of resilience. She put away bad people in her youth, and since then has been in hiding for fear of retaliation for 16 years…along with her daughter. Zoe has finally found a stable job and plans to settle in the new area that she is in. Little dose she know that some string were being pulled behind the scenes.

Enter Huntsman, President of the Exiled Eight MC, and things just get more emotional, spicy, and heartwarming from there. This is an age gap romance, and Huntsman is a silver fox that has made it onto my list…if you know what I mean. Both Huntsman and Zoe learn to trust and rely on each other throughout their journey, and Huntsman’s relationship with Zoe's daughter Blair, was the icing on the cake.

Addison Jane is one of my favorite MC Romance authors, and this book was another great addition to the Exile Eight MC. I can’t wait for the third book to be here on July 6th!

Illusive is the second title in The Exiled Eight series, and features Huntsman a side character who appeared in The Club Girl Diaries series. I’ve been eagerly awaiting Huntsman’s story and it didn’t disappoint.
Huntsman is an MC president and an innate leader. He’s a complex and flawed character, who keeps things close to his chest. He’s protective, strong willed and rough and tough, but also sweet and loving, and has a vulnerable side.
Zoey is independent, resilient, and incredibly strong. She’s fierce, sassy, and not afraid to speak her mind, and is a protective and loving mother to Blair.
Both Huntsman and Zoey are haunted by their pasts. I loved their chemistry, with love scenes that are steamy, and their banter is flirty and fun, but also realistic and quite argumentative.
This title is an emotional and engaging mc romance with plenty of suspense, drama, brotherhood, and family, and I look forward to the next addition to the series.

A silver fox in wolves clothing

Huntsman is one of those silver foxes that many women would love to get their hands on, however, he comes with a long list of baggage. One of those being the death of his wife Josi, at her own hands. He believes that had he tried harder, she never would have taken her own life, so essentially it's his fault.

Now throw in Zoey, who is sent to Huntsman for a job. She is/was in witness protection due to something horrific that happened in her past. Zoey can't get past Huntsman handsome looks, his beard, and the naughty talk before she wants him for herself. But the reasons she is in witness protection comes from her past and threatens her future and any life she may have with Huntsman and his club. Huntsman will always put her first and makes sure, she can live her life to the fullest, but sometimes you have to go over a few bumps to get there.

I need more books in my life like this one. Older guy and an experienced heroine. Tragic backstories and kids still paying the price. Huntsman and Zoey absolutely had an amazing connection right from the start, but I really appreciated that it wasn’t insta love. The relationship that built up between Blair and Hunstman was natural and wonderful to watch. I can always count on this author having secondary characters and plots that will draw me in just as much as the main characters. I do wish that I’d learned a bit more about Judge and why he disappeared and left Zoey behind like that. This was a wonderful entry into the Exiled 8’s MC. I’ve wanted Huntsman’s story for awhile, and due to everything the old members put Huntsman and Josie through, the damage is still reverberating throughout the younger generations (I.e. Lauren and Huntsman’s inability to access emotions sometimes). It’s a wonderful book and I’m so excited to read Drake’s story next.

So good

I loved reading this book. It was enjoyable, exciting and the characters they were a really stand out people for me. This is one of those stories that once you start reading it, the story and the characters wont let you go. And that alone says alot about a author and her accomplisment as a great author.
Zoey spend her life running trying to keep herself and her daughter safe. Her title was an interior designer, but she could do so much more. She had a job at an construction company which was run by a member of the MC. However she soon met up with Huntsmen president of the club. What she didnt expect for was to have chemistry with him.
Soon her past catches up with her and its Huntsman who decides that Zoey is going to be is old lady so the club are all in to protect the women and her child.

This book i have given five plus stars

The Huntsman is so Alpha

The Huntsman made this book. He just took over with his character and power. He is a President, business owner, father, widower, and BFF. He does it all well and even recognizes his shortcomings and owns them. As you guys know it’s difficult to love an alpha but the Huntsman somehow pushes and pulls at the right time and the right amount. He loves his children. Finally a parent that accepts them as they are which is very different plus Huntsman loves them and disciplines them in the way they need. The Huntsman made this story for me. Zoey (lead female) and her daughter Blair are good characters as well as Drake, Ripley, Dakota, Hail, and Cash. Looking forward to seeing more of The Exiled Eight MC. Read On!

Fantastic

Huntsman and Zoey
I'm not usually a fan of long books. An hour or 2 of reading a book is all I need!
BUT this one had me hooked from the very first page! Holy smokes was it good, no better than good ,it was freaking awesome ! Huntsman is very rough around the edges, he's extremely bossy and very much a a**hole! One you can't help fall in love with.
Zoey has had a horrible past, and she's fought hard to change her life, and she's come out very strong. When trouble comes calling ,does she stay or go? Can she trust Huntsman . I'm not telling, you will just have to read it to find out. But I can guarantee you will be glad you did! Can't wait to read the next book in the series! Definitely 5 stars for me!

This one is going to be tough to top

I BAGSEY HUNTSMAN.
Fantastic read, Addison has given us everything we crave in an mc story.

Huntsman is every bit alpha ar$ehole Mc president that we have come to know and crave.

Already suffering a major loss that he has blamed himself for he has vowed never to fall down that particular rabbit hole, screwing, killing and keeping his sons and brothers safe is all he cares about till know.

Zoey/Angie had been on the run ever since her baby girl came into the world. But know its time to stop running, or so she thought. Now she has a job she loves and stability stability her child, she finds her self in the grasp of an sexy as sin Mc president that she finds herself slowly becoming addicted to.

Fantastic series

I loved book one with Ripley and Dakota's story and I quickly fell in love with book two. Huntsman is president of the MC and has carried the guilt of his wife's suicide for years. He hasn't had a real relationship since then. But when he gets a call from an old FBI acquaintance his world is about to change. A woman and her sixteen year old daughter need a safe haven and protection and Huntsman agrees to take them in. Both are strong, sassy and fighters and it doesn't take long before Kingsman calls them his. Their story is full of danger with moments full of loyalty and love. I've become a fan of the characters in this MC series and can't wait for the next book.

Interesting

Another good read in this series, typical bad boy Biker hero and femme fatale that needs saving. Huntsman president of the Exiled Eight MC is asked by an old friend to look after a young woman and her daughter who had been in witness protection for sixteen years but had actually been taking care of themselves for that long constantly moving from place to place. Offering the woman the job of her dreams brings her into contact with the MC and especially with Huntsman and from that point the chemistry between the two ignites. Unfortunately Zoey's past catches up with her and its not pretty but she and her daughter Blair now have the protection of the club. Its a good story with some difficult issues covered but has a hea.

Everytime I finish an Addison Jane book I want more. I never want to leave the combined worlds of Exiled Eight and Brothers By Blood MC.

Illusive manages to find that perfect balance between romance and suspense. There's some real heart pounding moments of fear for the characters. There's also some hella hot moments between Huntsman and Zoey. This may be an age gap romance but Zoey isn't looking for a daddy, she stumbles across something even better, a partner.

Huntsman is in awe of Zoey's strength and her take no sh*t attitude. It’s exactly what he needs in an old lady and he's man enough to take what he wants.

As always there are some stand out side characters and potential future matches teased.

This was a 5 star read for me. I loved the building romance, the steamy scenes and the twists and turns along the way. Now I need Drake's story! Then I'm gonna need stories for Cash, Rylan, Tyler, Mase and Cole basically I don't see me leaving this world for a very long time!

read better the second time

Love to read books twice then review. This book read better the second time around as I felt I missed bits in my hurry to read. The dynamics of the characters are so strong but play off each other so well. The storyline was completely drawing me in and gives you and idea off how the players play off each other which brings the story to life. Still can be read by all as I still don’t see this as really heavy into the MC just set around it. There could be triggers for some so read the blurb. I think the books should be read in order but that is just my opinion

I enjoyed this one and it's really 3.5*. I would have given it 4* cause I really like an age gap biker romance and both MCs were likeable - especially the rough & gruff Huntsman. The thing that spoiled it for me though, was the OTT villain. Not only is it ridiculous the way they always seem to find the FL, no matter how well hidden, but they seem to have a big mouth that won't shut up even when the ML is beating the stuffin out of them! The whole damsel in distress, beating/kidnapping/accosting and worse trope is starting to wear mighty thin. Think of something else...anything else.

Again, would have given it 3.5-4* if not for the continuing stupid trope.

Yeah, that’s one way to put some extra meat in a romance meet cute. 🤭😳👍

An MC club romance full of suspense, spice and found family vibes. Quick banter, between a charming gruff and cussing MC Prez and his sons new sassy and talented employee. A snappy milf on the run.
Drama and angst and a strong belief in fate, are all included in this standalone in the Exiled Eight series as well as connections to the authors other MC series.

I thing I’m in for the long haul with this author ❤️

Audiobook works fine but I wouldn’t have minded a more “grown and growly” MMC narrator. Mr Cendese is perfect for the sons as MCs in books 1 and 3 but yeah, this 50+ MMC needed more calm and depth IMO.

There's been a wait for Huntsman's story and it was soooooo worth the wait! Huntsman is a rough and tough alpha male. But when he meets Zoey and her daughter Blair..... everything changes for him. He's still rough and tough and alpha but shows another side you'll fall in love with. Zoey is an incredible heroine. She's so very strong but really loves feeling safe with Huntsman. This story was full of action, drama, steaminess and scenes with incredible emotion that will give you all the feels. I can't get enough of these two!

Excited

I have been waiting awhile for huntsman story I knew it would be heartbreaking. Huntsman is a strong willed man who deserved to have a woman who could stand by him and rule his kingdom, zoey is just that. She overcomes her horrible past with the bell of huntsman and the other men in the club. Blair!! What can I say about her I got a lot of meyah vibes from her and was excited and screamed when she gave huntsman the adoption papers. I can not wait until drake book comes out.
