I enjoyed this laugh-out-loud romantic comedy a lot! Great premise, and while it's been done many times before I did think that the author's approach was unique and unpredictable. Fantastic characters with just enough character development to keep it interesting the whole way through. Sizzling chemistry throughout and some truly hilarious moments.

There is nothing formulaic about this fake-relationship story. The plotting is different and the whole story is fresh and fun.
To avoid the wrath of his narrow-minded grandma, and being disinherited, Reagan's gay bestie, Grant, asks her to accompany him to a family wedding in Mexico as his 'decoy'.
At the hotel resort, Reagan keeps bumping into gorgeous Zach, who is attending the same wedding . The incidents just keep piling up with comic consequences. Zack thinks Reagan is beautiful, but seems to be half of a couple. When their secret is revealed, Zach is pleased and so is his frat brother, Harrison, who fancies Grant.
But Reagan has overheard the bride-to-be scheming against her groom. Now Reagan, Zach, Harrison and Grant are ready to out-scheme the schemer and rescue the groom from his own wedding.

Very funny romcom. Our fabulous four is comprised of Grant, cousin to Lee, and his decoy partner and best friend, Reagan, who has brains as well as beauty; Harrison and Zach are college classmates of Lee the groom. These four find themselves in adjacent suites at the resort where the wedding is being held.
Grant, Harrison and Lee are all mega rich and think nothing of hopping their private jet to wherever they want to go whereas Reagan and Zach are from wealthy backgrounds but not in the same class. Neither Harrison nor Zach like the bride, Maggie and think that Lee is making a big mistake. Grant and Reagan soon join their ranks especially when they realise how unsuited the pair are and that Maggie is in it for money! But that doesn’t make sense because she’s also from the same mega wealthy strata.
Then there’s Grant and Lee’s Grandma Satan, as Reagan calls her. The whole thing raises questions while causing our fabulous four to keep falling into one comic mess after another.

3.0 out of 5 stars Plaisant et fun si on passe outre les incohérences

L'histoire est sympa, une bonne comédie romantique. quelques incohérences et quelques fautes gâchent un peu le plaisir. Pas de grosse surprise, tout est prévisible, mais la légèreté du récit et les scènes hot permettent de passer un bon moment.

This book gives you a close-up glimpse into platonic, romantic and familial relationships. I laughed, cheered and gasped my way through these pages of hilarity, comradeship, deviousness and schemes. You will not get bored whilst reading this book!

The Decoy is a book that needs to be picked up. If you love family drama, best friends that do anything for each other and out right laughing out loud then this one is for you. I love Grant, Harrison, Zach and Reagan so much. They all click together so well. Grant and Reagan have this amazing friendship. I love how she doesn't mind so much stepping in and playing the decoy when he needs her for family events. The chemistry between Grant and Harrison is amazing. My heart was so happy for them. It was even filled with more love when it came down to Zach and Reagan. They are so hot together. Not only do you find yourself fanning yourself throughout this read but you will be laughing out loud. When these four are together you are going to have a good time. You really must read this to find out all the family drama that unfolds. A perfect one click read for any day ending in y.

Reagan and Grant are best friends who pretend to be in a relationship to keep his conservative Grandmother happy. Off to an island paradise for a family wedding leads to meeting new people and having fun. Underlying all the fun is the intrigue of this sudden wedding. The outcome will shock them all..... But there are happily ever afters for the friends.

I tend to gravitate toward adventure romance books. The adventure end of this was a little tame but it was still good and the book as a whole was good. It must have kept my interest because it seemed to go pretty quick.
