Playboy.
Gym rat.
Womanizer.

I’ve been called them all.
Until one-night changes everything. Changes me.
Trying to drown a broken heart in cheap whiskey and a willing body leaves me with the last thing I ever expected.
All that matters now is my son. There’s no room for anything, or anyone else.

Until her.
A free spirit. A nomadic soul.
She intrigues me. She excites me. She’s everything I never knew I needed.

In the end, loving her was the easy part. It was letting her go that almost ruined me.

Struck is a surprise baby/single dad romance and can be read as a complete standalone.

One of my favorite books of 2019!!!! I couldn't turn the pages fast enough! Struck will be with me for some time to come. It left such an impression on me. It wasn't an easy love story but it was a beautiful love story nonetheless.

I have been waiting for TJ's love story and Emma Louise did not disappoint! It wasn't who I thought TJ would end up with but Breeze turned out to be one of my favorite characters. I LOVED their chemistry.

TJ was a bad boy, player, and a gym rat. Due to heartbreak, he was on a downward spiral. That is until he has one night that changes his life. TJ's transformation was immediate and phenomenal. I loved seeing him pick himself back up and focus on what was important to him. He is sexy and swoon-worthy. I totally fell in love with him!

Along comes Breeze. She waltzes into his gym with pink hair and sass looking for a job. That job turns out to be more than she expected. She can't help but notice how sexy TJ is. She is immediately attracted to him but seeing him shirtless holding his son ratchets that hotness factor up times 1,000!

This is a must-read ladies! There are wonderful characters in this book. I loved them all. You will swoon so hard! I know I did. TJ and Breeze's chemistry is scorching hot!!! This book had just the right amount of angst, love, steamy scenes that will light you up, and strong family ties. The plot was unique and held my attention from start to finish. I hated for it to end. I am impatiently waiting to see what happens next with Hayden!

I loved this storyline and the characters. I laughed, cried, oohed & aahed while I kept turning page after page until there were no more to turn. It was realistic reading the characters plights, jealously, anger, love, honesty and how family interactions are somewhat brutal.

TJ is drowning in his own misery. He’s hurt and using the ring to lash out in anger and on a particularly dark night he makes his biggest mistake yet. Unable to face his actions he continues down the same path until he comes face to face with his nightmare. Who do we turn to in our greatest need, our family and thankfully TJ’s family backs him 100%. He’s about to face his biggest challenge and have his life turned around.

Breeze has a dream to fulfil, travel the world and tick off her mums bucket list. What she didn’t factor into her life was meeting a brooding single father. She couldn’t resist those chubby cheeks, grey eyes and that mop of dark hair. They crept into her heart and she was unable to let them go, but they weren’t hers to keep.

I fell in love with Emma Louise’s writing and characters in her debut book, and it all just keeps getting better!

The depth of intense emotion and angst at the beginning of this book took me by surprise and captured my heart and my interest immediately. TJ is struggling with his feelings, not just about a woman, but with his life. Drinking, illegal fighting and bad decisions take over. The result of that is an adorable baby boy, who TJ ends up raising alone.

Breeze starts working at the gym TJ owns and ends up helping him out by babysitting as well. TJ can’t seem to help being rude to Breeze over and over again, and she can’t seem to help finding him ridiculously hot regardless of how he treats her. His behaviour was infuriating, but entertaining, especially knowing he was battling his attraction to her. All that time spent together leads to the inevitable, and the inevitable is swoon worthy, steamy and had me crying happy tears.

Sometimes old dreams need to become new dreams to find happiness.

I Was given An advance Readers copy Of this Book and Have decided To write A voluntary Honest review. This is my very first book by this author and o can't wait to jump into the rest of this series. For while there I thought this book was all about Lucy I'm so glad I was wrong cause I freaken love breeze. She's so damn sweet I just adore her. I wanted to smack tj more than once he was so mean to her at times. I felt like wtf is your problem she doesn't deserve the way you treat her. Tj though wow the man is so hot with Abel it's like you can't help but want to take a picture. And despite all the wrong choices he made he's a great dad. I was hoping Hayden would be next!

4.5 | I love how books with babies play so easy with my mind and make me melt with all that cuteness!

"I don't just want more with you, sweetheart. I want it all."
The world stops. Time stops. It's just us here in this moment.

TJ is on a self-destruction path. To deal with a toxic "relationship" he consumed herself in alcohol, illegal fights and random hookups, until one night everything changed and he's now alone and in charge of a baby he knew nothing about, his son Abel. Breeze is a nomad. A free spirited yoga instructor looking for a job to earn enough money to fulfill her life's dream of traveling the world. They were at different times in their lives, TJ was settling down while Breeze just wanted to leave everything behind, but there was still a bigger connection between them.

At first I wasn't so sure about this book mostly because for the first three chapters TJ was an asshole, but then it all started to make sense. To be a short book by my standards you can see how the characters evolve rapidly, and that there is depth and buried feelings where they help each other understand and accept them. I really liked the romance. It was sweet, fun and touching at times, and so were the family moments, the way they easily connected made my heart melt.

Now my absolutely favorite parts of this book:
— The communication between the main characters. I HATE the miscommunication trope so I really liked that these characters were straightforward enough to talk things out. There was only one time when it seemed like my impression of them was wrong, but it was just to add the necessary drama to a fictional story and they sorted it out in like 20 minutes so points for that.

— Breeze's lifelong dream. I have a coronary every time a female character leaves everything aside for a man saying things like "this is what I really always wanted and didn't know it" or something between those lines. GIRL NO??? you can have more than one dream and fulfill them all??? there's no need to take something off your list just because it doesn't match the other's life plan. So TJ helping and encouraging her to fulfill her dream is literally doing the bare minimum, but I appreciate it. Even more so when he and Abel left everything to join her.

— The epilogue. A happy ending with kids and scenes previously imagined in the story becoming reality. Literally what dreams are made of for me 🥰💖💕😭💘💓

Now I did this out of order, so now I'm gonna proceed to read the previous books in the series while I wait for Lucy's story because she's going through something and is obviously hurting so I feel like her book is gonna serve some angst but I can't wait for her happy ending cause she's baby 🤧💘

Emma Louise has knocked it out of the park yet again.
This is TJ and Breeze' story . It really did melt my heart .
TJ was so messed up, but then he has not one but two bright lights enter his life .
Breeze is like a breath of fresh air , her character shows strength and softness, she is self assured but can also be vulnerable.
This is one of those stories where you desperately want to get to their HEA , but the closer you get to the end the more you want to put the brakes on because you really don't want it to end

5 stars! Emma Louise’s best book yet!

I FLOVED this book so much! Within a few chapters I not only knew it would be another of my top favorite books of 2019, but also my favorite from Emma Louise yet! This book will always own a piece of me😉I won’t say why; just read it!

TJ, Abel and Breeze will own your heart! There’s not a lot of drama or angst; it’s just a feel good romance that will have you falling in love with the characters. It has everything I love in a book: age gaps, single daddies, and raw sex.

The epilogue was my favorite! I definitely can’t wait until her next book! If you haven’t discovered Emma’s books yet, you need to read them asap!

I have been patiently waiting for TJ's story and Emma Louise took is to a place I never saw.

TJ, the gym rat womanizer is about to have his world turned upside down and it's was an often tragic, but beautiful story.  Emma Louise is a writer that I so enjoy reading, her writing is flawless, captivating, gripping and oh-so-sexy! Seeing TJ grow into a better man, taking care of his responsibilities was such a turn on.  He's a really good guy!
I don't just want more with you, sweetheart. I want it all.

The big part of the storyline would be a spoiler so there isn't much I can say, but once again, Emma Louise has written a story that had me hooked from the first page.

Sorry for the short review but I just don't want to spoil Struck for you!

One night culminates a string of screw ups for TJ, he just doesn't know it yet. Just when he is getting his life straightened out, he is hit with the most mammoth curve ball of all. He takes that hit and comes out better on the other side, shadowed somewhat by guilt. Now he is focused on running the gym he owns with his brother. Life was moving in the right direction when a girl with pink hair is suddenly all he can think about. When Breeze took the new yoga instructor position, she didn't know it would change her entire life.

I don't want to give too much away, suffice it to say that this was an amazing read! If you have read the two previous books by Emma Louise, this is Kier's twin brother TJ finally getting his happy. You don't have to have read the previous two but it does deepen your understanding of TJ. He finally gets his head on straight and knows a good thing when he discovers Breeze. Breeze is an awesome character, she embraces life and opens her heart to TJ and the rest of his family. She is perfect for TJ and he is perfect for her. I loved every moment, every word of Struck! It was a sweet read, sexy and full of feels and I didn't want to put it down. Emma Louise is incredibly talented and I cannot wait for more fabulous reads from her! All the stars for TJ and Breeze!

Any words that I can write won’t do justice to what I think is Emma Louise’s best book yet. This book will definitely be in my top reads for the year.

TJ wasn’t my favorite as a side character in the previous books, but the first 20% of this book catapulted him to become my favorite character that she has written so far.

Breeze was exactly what TJ needed at a time when he didn’t think he had anything to give to a relationship.

The ending had me smiling like a fool. Emma Louise, your writing just keeps getting better and better. Please don’t ever stop!

Another top read for me.

The 3rd book I've read by this author and its blown me away how captivating her writing is . Truly amazing.

TJ I absolutely love him...add him to my top pick of book boyfriends.
One night changes his whole life . It became something he never expected and didn't know he needed. There are so many swoon worthy moments with him you cant help but love him.

Breeze got more then she bargained for from her job at the gym.

I'm totally in love with this series...I'm so excited to read about Hayden next.

Struck has left me speechless, with a huge book hangover. Within the first few chapters, I was spellbound and couldn’t put the book down. I just had to know how it would end!

TJ was broken, lost, and hurting...until his son arrived. With Abel, TJ became the best version of himself. It was impossible not to fall in love with both TJ and Abel. Breeze was open and candid, the breath of fresh air TJ really needed in his life. She was easy to like, with her calm, sweet spirit and forgiving nature.

The plot was a slow, torturous burn. Just when I thought they were getting together, boom! Something or someone would get in the way. It was absolutely worth the wait though.

Struck is book three in the Flawed Love series, but it definitely can be read as a standalone. I personally thought it was the best of the three! At the end of the book, the author hints that she may write more for this series, and I really hope she does!

Emma did a fabulous job with Struck, I was captivated from the Prologue and boy did the story give me so much more than I was expecting the more I read. I devoured Emma’s words and loved the characters.

Struck is the story of TJ, he has been dealt a shit hand in the relationship department and then his life was thrown an unexpected curve ball by finding out he has a son Abel. The self proclaimed ladies man adapts to a brand new life as a single dad, now this element pleased me no end because single dad books are one of my favourite troupes to read so I’m not going to lie I swooned hard for TJ.

Enter Breeze, she’s the new Yoga Instructor hired at the Gym TJ owns with his brother Keir. She’s stands out with her pink hair and her inquisitive mind. She’s beautiful and has a plan for her future one that she doesn’t want to loose sight of. TJ & Breeze have an insane chemistry that is palpable through the pages, they just have to work out if it’s a forever thing or just right now. You will have to read the book to find out.

I thoroughly enjoyed Struck, it is a recommended read for me.

I have been waiting for TJ’s story since meeting him in score and he did not disappoint! I loved him and Breeze together and then add Abel to the mix and you have an ovary explosion. I mean who doesn’t love a hot guy being a awesome dad? I loved how from the very start Breeze treated the baby as her own. This book will give you all the feels! I can’t wait to see what Emma has in store for us next!!!

This book... I have so much love for it. It was sweet, sexy and heartwarming.
TJ and Breeze were perfect.

"God.
I want to fucking devour her. Her taste drives me wild.
I can't keep this kiss soft and gentle like the first one, and our lips part as my tongue seeks hers.
This.
This is what I've been craving.
The peace she brings me. I'm not letting any of the other bullshit in when she's in my arms."

There was heat, there was drama and also the stuff daydreams are made of (grey sweatpants) I can't recommend this book enough - such a great read!

TJ’s book was everything I hoped and so much more! If you think you know where Emma Louise is taking TJ’s story you are wrong!! A one night stand and some bad decisions change TJ’s life in ways he never seen coming. Time for him to man up and put someone else’s needs before his own. When his brother hires a new yoga teacher he knows it’s hands off, but sometimes those hands have a mind of their own. Can TJ open his heart to see what’s in front of him or will he deny his feelings? Emma Louise has continued to grow with each story she writes, hopefully she never stops! One click fan for life.

I was both very excited and scared to read Struck by Emma Louise. I have been waiting for TJ’s story since the first book, Score. Though this is billed as a standalone and each story is about a different couple, they are interacted. I would suggest reading in order, Score, Fixed and then Struck and highly recommend each book.

We met TJ in Score and know he has history with Lucy. I always assumed his story would be with her, but as their journey continues in Fixed, we learn things are not going well. In Struck, TJ is hit with a surprise he never saw coming and changes the course of his life. Though he sees himself as a damaged and broken man, we see how caring and patient he truly is. Abel changes his life and he is determined to be a good man and father. He does not think he has time for any woman in his life, but then he meets Breeze.

Breeze is biding her time to follow her dreams and travel. She is working to save money and takes an opportunity to work in TJ’s gym. She never expected to meet TJ and Abel and have them steal her heart. Though TJ tries to push her away, the more time they spend together, the harder it is to deny their chemistry. But is TJ ready to let her in and will Breeze leave it all behind to follow her dreams?

I loved TJ, Breeze and Abel’s story. It was sweet and charming, and I loved seeing these characters grow separately and together. Their journey was not always an easy one, but you could feel their connection. Struck by Emma Louise was an adorable read and one I recommend.

This storyline and its relatable characters is an example of why I love reading romance.

Emma has been a long time romance reader, then a blogger before becoming an author, so she writes exactly what we all want to read.
She has just the right amount of slow burn, angst, details, feeling, and conflict, and with all 3 of her books, I have never once rolled my eyes. 😄
She also has THE MOST GORGEOUS book covers.

One night in the past has changed TJ’s life forever - but for good.
Hot guy with a baby? Um, yes, please!! 🙋🏼
The events that led up to TJ, finding out the result of that night was unique.
It takes talent nowadays to create authentic ideas.

TJ is Keir’s twin brother from Score.
They co-own a gym.
Breeze is smart, independent, caring and hired to be a yoga instructor for the gym, but became a babysitter, as well.
They tried to fight their attraction for each other, but their sexual chemistry was through the roof.

Emma’s pacing and flow of unfolding a story is spot on and is only getting better with each book.
She’s an automatic one-click author for me.

*Rubs hands together. I can’t wait for Hayden’s book. 😍

✧ A standalone in a series with interconnecting characters
✧ Told in dual POVs. Thank goodness because 3rd person DOES NOT pull me into a story.

Yes, Emma Louise! Yasssssss, girl! A sexy as fudge, single dad and a sassy and strong yoga instructor heroine, plus impeccable writing, delicious angst, and so much swoon this bookworm had to take some moments to collect herself. Also, fair warning that this is not so much a review as it is a fangirl moment about to happen. Sorry not sorry.

First of all let me say that while I understand that TJ was struggling and it caused him to act out, I’m also a terrible person and I love me some alpha-holes so the worse he behaved the more I loved him. *shrug* TJ is infuriating and frustrating, but he’s also hot with a capital HOT. Between his struggles, caring for his son (cue ovarian explosion), and trying to fight his attraction for Breeze, I could see why he was behaving like such a douche-nozzle and I swear I only drooled more over him. Breeze for her part was like a breath of fresh air. (HAHA, see what I did there?) She’s the sunshine to TJ’s gloom. Her strength and sass make her his perfect match and despite his rudeness she’s his constant support. As time goes on she finds it harder and harder to ignore the pull she feels for him. (Gurl, me too!) As she helps him with his son and they spend more and more time together their attraction intensifies and results in such a wonderful romance I ran clear out of swoons! Like, gah! This was so freaking good!!!

Struck was such a beautiful romance! There’s the perfect amount of angst, a swoon-worthy romance, and fantastic characters to root for and fall in love with. As if that wasn’t enough we also get impecable storytelling and writing from Emma Louise. It’s was perfect. Like she built the perfect book taco! It was delicious, irresistible, and sure it got a little messy, but you just can’t help but devour it all. Plus, who doesn’t love tacos? I’m not sure where her books have been all my bookish life, but you bet your ass I’m about to binge on them. 5 stars.

I loved this story, Ms Louise writing style makes you drift into the world she creates. It is like a movie with a narrator, that narrator being you, and slowly the voice fades to the movie, that is what this style ensured.

TJ, our hero, starts off as a douche, first with Lucy and then with Breeze but slowly he will change the longer he is with the gift he knew nothing about.

When he goes to the hospital to see friend's who have has a baby he is accosted by a woman who says he aint welcome. Turns out a drunken one night stand with a girl named Willow has left him with a son. Especially after complications take her life. Now one day he is a broody, man whore and the next he is a broody man whore with a new born son.

Breeze lives her life free, an omage to her deceased mother who never got the chance. With a rickety car, a small above garage apartment, her siblings think she is wasting her time saving to travel instead of having a real "life" a real "job". When she gets a job at a gym she will meet TJ, his brother and their friends.

This will be a love/hate friends to lovers romance mostly from his side, as Breeze is sweet. As the two grow closer, as she falls in love with his son, as the fall for each other, the question becomes will dreams and the past be too much for a HEA.

What an emotional rollercoaster! Struck is unlike any book I have ever read. The plot was unique to me. This story has romance and drama, but it also has shock, heartbreak, and agony. Seriously one of the best books I have read in a while.

The plot of this book is interesting. I won't lie and say I was not a little disappointed at first when I realized the main female was not who I thought it was going to be. With that being said, keep with the book. This is way better. This book I would say is about redemption and finding where home is. The author did a great job.

Oh Breeze. You are the character I never knew I needed. Breeze is a free spirit. She has one goal in life and that is to travel just like her mom did. She feel restless inside and thinks traveling is the only way to fight that feeling. TJ is such a great character. Boy has he made mistakes, but when the shock of a lifetime falls into his lap, the shows that he can be the man he needs to be. I loved that about him.

The heat in this book was there from the beginning. This is a fighting attraction kind of book. The initial attraction comes off as dislike. That builds into something more until it combusts. I loved that about this book.

I have not one complaint about the writing style of this book. The pace is steady. The story is told from a dual point of view. The characters are dynamic. This book made me tear up. The emotions run so high that I didn't know if I could make it without stopping. Alas, I did with no regrets.

Overall, this was a great story. I loved characters. This book has all the feels. If you love you some romance with a bit of shock factor tangled in, this is the book for you.

This is my first time ready a Emma Louise story. I have had heard good things about her previous ones and I was not disappointed. Struck can be read as a standalone and would not distract from the story.

At the very heart of Struck, it is a true love story. It is a story of second chances and finding love in unexpected places. We are introduced to TJ, who finds himself in a dark place seeing the love of his life with someone else. His downward spiral hits rock button when he is hit with a piece of unexpected news that makes him re-evaluate his life. It shows us his strength of character and his willingness to put someone else before himself.

Bree was a perfect compliment to TJ. Her willingness to jump into the unexpected and embrace them, endeared her to me as a genuine character.

The story was simple, beautiful and full of heart that made me happy while reading. It has a perfect blend of everything, and I would highly recommend this book to others.
