Skirt Steak is book five in the Grade-A Beefcakes series by Vanessa Vale. I’ve loved this series from the start. I’ve loved getting to know the Duke family. I was really looking forward to the only daughter of the family’s story. The three main characters of this book really stole my heart. They had real issues from their pasts to deal with and my heart hurt for them. But it was because they hadn’t met each other yet. Because once they did, everything changed.
Julia Duke was the youngest of the Duke siblings and the only daughter. All of her brothers were over protective. Julia couldn’t help but be jealous of her brothers. They had all found their perfect matches. They had all found “the one.” They were all in unusual relationships with two men and one woman. Why couldn’t she find just one decent guy? Her last boyfriend had been awful to her. Had said things to her that left her with terrible self doubt. He had left her feeling inadequate and unable to make any man happy.
Cash Carter was the owner of Carter’s Auto. He had moved there to help out his uncle and take over the shop. He was also running from something else. Something that permanently tarnished his reputation. He needed a fresh start. His best friend Bennett who built custom motorcycles, came with him. Bennett was very successful and very wealthy. He was tired of being used for his name or his wealth and wanted to start fresh with Cash.
“Could a heart, which had been empty for so long, just fill right up?”
When Cash and Bennett met Julia, they just knew. They knew she was the one for them. She was everything they ever wanted. Could they ever convince her to consider being in a relationship with both of them? Cash falls fast and hard. After one afternoon with Julia, his feelings are so strong. This was short, sweet, and hot, hot, hot! As I said, the issues these three were dealing with were all real life issues. I felt terrible for the way Julia was made to feel about herself. And I loved the way Cash and Bennett made her feel about herself, treasured and beautiful.
This series has been so much fun. And the author says there is more to come. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next.

I have been excitedly awaiting the release of book five in the Grade-A Beefcakes series. Finally the Duke sister gets her book and it was absolutely worth the wait.
From the very beginning I was rooting for Julia to hurry and meet her men so they could start giving her what she deserved. I felt for her when I learned of the sadness and self doubt she was suffering at the hands of her ex. But, in usual Vanessa Vale fashion, the men came in and helped her heal and move forward.
This book was super steamy but also had really good characterization. I love how, even with these shorter stories, this author manages to give the characters a good back story and at least one of them has some things to work through to claim their happiness. I get to watch these characters grow.
I hope to get more of the Dukes in the future, but even if I get a whole new series instead I'll be happy. I just need Vanessa Vale to keep on writing.

This was so short! I wish it were longer, I felt like we didn't get as much story as the other books in the series. Of course this had the hot romance scenes and a bit of drama to spice it up, but I would have liked it to be longer so it could develop a bit more. Julia is a funny character, she sticks her foot in her mouth and is a bit ridiculous, but I loved it. The narration was okay and a super quick read.

Vanessa Vale has delivered a steamy, intriguing, and sweet series with her Grade-A Beefcakes. All really good and totally captivating. Well now she's back with her newest whirlwind romance Skirt Steak (I seriously love the titles in this series!) and just like her other books, one cowboy is never enough so two is just what Jules is going to get with Cash and Bennett. And from the moment they meet, nothing will ever be the same.
If you like faster, sexier, steamier, lighter books with two cowboys or more, then Vanessa is gonna always be a must read.
I definitely recommend this book and cleverly named series.

In book 5 of this series, we get Julia's story. After her ex leaves her doubting herself in the love department, she wonders if she'll ever have what her brothers have found with their women. When Cash and Bennett show up, she thinks they are strippers and flirts with them. To her horror, they aren't but it doesn't stop them from going after her. They know she is the one for them. But one of the guys is holding a secret back from her. This is a cute and hot as heck story about learning to trust. I still wanted to reach through and smack Duke around a little bit but I resisted! This is such a well written story!!! I really enjoyed it and I want more!!!

Book 5 in the Grade-A Beefcake series is a bit different, we don't have a Duke boy getting his happy ever after. No, this is Julia's story. She's given up on what she truly wants, has been put down by an ex that makes her think she's not enough for one man let alone two..
Enter Cash & Bennett.
These two are determined to prove to her she's more than enough for both of them.
Loved this book, just as the others we have a poly relationship that's full of steam and insta everything!!
Quick and sexy as hell, having a story from Julia's point of view was just what this series needed. She may be my favorite so far.

Skirt Steak is the fifth book in the Grade-A Beefcakes series by Vanessa Vale.
In the past I've been a fan of Vanessa Vale's sexy fast paced MFM romances. Who doesn't like two rugged beefed up cowboys who have something to prove to the woman they love. I love the alpha male, animalistic vibes her novels throw off.
But Skirt Steak is a little different. Now we have two city boys who've decided to settle down in the country and make a name for themselves. And we have the sister (and cousin) of the other beefcakes, she goes by Skirt Steak, but her name is Julia.
Cash and Bennett aren't your typical Vanessa Vale male leads, no these men aren't cowboys, but mechanics. Which means we get a few sexy as sin SHOP SCENES!!! I'll never look at a mechanics roller board the same way again! HOT DAMN!
Overall, Skirt Steak was a great fast paced read. I really enjoyed this novel. The sex was hot, the banter was humorous, and it had just the right amount of angst to keep me hanging on the edge of my seat. It was a great read!

Cash and Bennett have their work cut out trying to get Julia to believe that they both want her for the long haul. She has a few bad relationships and does not believe that she is relationship worthy. Can they make her believe not only in herself but also a future with them?
I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I recommend this book.

So, when organising a hen night, and on the night she is adding vibraters large green ones to the party bags while waiting for the male strippers. When two hunks knock on the door Julia mistakes them for strippers, she had booked for the hen night.
When Julia meet Cash and Bennett its instalove between the three. Cash and Bennett are from Florida and haven’t been in town long. Nether are Cowboys, Cash has own garage for repairs, and Bennett builds custom Motorbikes and runs his successful business on his own property in the countryside.
Lets are just say it isn’t just mechanical items they want to fix.

Vanessa Vale is one of those authors that I just can never get enough of. Her books are an auto one-click for me, and I am never sorry about it. Once again I find myself loving this Duke family. Skirt Steak is the 5th in this series and follows the only girl in the family, Julia. Julia is sure that she is destined to be alone and that she will never find the kind of love that her brothers and cousins have. In walks Cash and Bennett....

Skirt Steak is book 5 in the Grade-A Beefcakes series by Vanessa Vale. This is a Duke sister getting her own story-- Julia.Julia is the sole girl of the family who was sure that she was due to be alone the rest of her life. Sure that she was never going to find love like her brothers and cousins have found.... well, she was so wrong!! That's when Cash and Bennett come into her life. She makes a mistake thinking about what they do for a living yet they still are interested in her and the sparks flare up between the 3 of them. Their love story is hot, intense, steamy and sweet. Julia has really bad self esteem and issues with trust so the men have their work cut out for then. Them together make a great couple and the story flows beautifully with purpose. I enjoyed reading Julia's story with her 2 men. Beautifully written with heart.

If you like hot, sexy quick stories about instant love then this book is perfect for you.
Julia Duke meets Cash Carter & Bennett in an extremely unconventional manner even though it’s very funny! The humour in the book is fun and flirty making this a lighter read even though there is a darker element in the background too.
Great characters that really come alive on the pages, well everyone except Frank who is a loser. The mother, Mrs Duke, is so cool..I want to be her when I grow up!

An Awesome Read!!
I loved reading Skirt Steak(Grade-A Beefcakes Book 5). All about Julia Duke a little sister to three big Duke brothers a Marketing guru who is twenty-six & Cash Carter the New mechanic in town & Bennett his BFF who makes customized motorcycles. Julia is the party planner for all Duke events, and tonight is Ava’s bachelorette party at Sir Loin of Beefs house. She’s stuffing take-home favors when two huge hunks ring the door bell. Julia assumes they are tonight’s entertainment, even though they are clearly checking her out. Ava comes sailing thru the door and starts hugging the guys, when Julia steps in and says you know the entertainment, in a shocked voice!! This is Carter & Bennett the mechanics fixing your car, Julia turns several shades of red!! The author wrote a story about a guy who was accused of a awful crime, that almost ruins his life! Read about Cash & Bennett and the exciting things they have planned for there Forever Girl, Julia! I have read all five books in the Grade-A Beefcakes series. And each one is named after a cut of beef, since they own a cattle ranch in Raines, Montana. They also have a tradition that sets them apart from other families. Take the time to read about this family and your pleasure will sky rocket, as mine did!!

This one was a very quick read, but I do feel like it wasnt as developed as the other books in the series. I enjoyed all the characters but there was much of drama other then Cash being wrongly accused of rape.

When she meets Cash and Bennett and thinks they are strippers she figures it can't hurt to flirt with them and have some fun.. While she is finding them both hot and sexy she wonders if she can ever please two men?

Siamo alla fine con la serie delle bistecche e già ci disperiamo perché non potremo vivere ormai senza la banda dei fratelli (e cugino) Duke.
Ma non disperiamo, abbiamo ancora un componente di questa allegra (ed allargata famigliola) da vedere accasato.
Julia sorellina dei Duke è invidiosa. I fratelli hanno trovato le loro QG e lei, poverina, è ancora all'asciutto. Un vecchio fidanzato le ha fatto venire i complessi di colpa perché, pare, che tra le lenzuola non si lasci andare.
Pochissime pagine per arrivare nel profondo di questo problema. E la Vane decide di caricare ancora di più la mano piazzando uno degli uomini con un problema non da poco alle spalle. Ok alle spalle, tutto risolto d'accordo ma forse ci volevano più attimi dedicati a sviluppare.
In questo modo d'accordo che non siamo davanti ad un'opera somma di letteratura. Ma forse spendendo qualche pagina in più da dedicare a tutto quello che esula dal sesso forse che forse si sarebbe salvato un po' di più.
Ma torniamo a Julia, la dolce fanciulla scambia per spogliarellisti i suoi ometti (alla fine con degli spogliarellisti era iniziata la serie, mi pare giusto terminarla con una menzione d'onore). Ed ecco che tra i tre scocca la scintilla con loro maschietti che subito sanno che è QG (ma poi come caspio fanno a saperlo così? Cioè... ma sta cosa dell'imprinting... non la possono dare in dotazione a tutti? Cioè sai quante ovaie felici in giro ? )
Il tutto sotto l'occhio ammiccante della mamma, del padre, dei fratelli, del paese, del cane e del gatto.

Julia sorellina dei Duke è invidiosa. I fratelli hanno trovato le loro QG e lei, poverina, è ancora all'asciutto. Un vecchio fidanzato le ha fatto venire i complessi di colpa perché, pare, che tra le lenzuola non si lasci andare.
Pochissime pagine per arrivare nel profondo di questo problema. E la Vane decide di caricare ancora di più la mano piazzando uno degli uomini con un problema non da poco alle spalle. Ok alle spalle, tutto risolto d'accordo ma forse ci volevano più attimi dedicati a sviluppare.
In questo modo d'accordo che non siamo davanti ad un'opera somma di letteratura. Ma forse spendendo qualche pagina in più da dedicare a tutto quello che esula dal sesso forse che forse si sarebbe salvato un po' di più.
Ma torniamo a Julia, la dolce fanciulla scambia per spogliarellisti i suoi ometti (alla fine con degli spogliarellisti era iniziata la serie, mi pare giusto terminarla con una menzione d'onore). Ed ecco che tra i tre scocca la scintilla con loro maschietti che subito sanno che è QG (ma poi come caspio fanno a saperlo così? Cioè... ma sta cosa dell'imprinting... non la possono dare in dotazione a tutti? Cioè sai quante ovaie felici in giro ? )

Julia Duke is organizing a bachelorette party for Ava when she mistakenly thinks the two men who just walked in are the strippers for the party. Embarrassed, she hopes the men will forgive her mistake and not judge her for the rumours/truths that surround her family.
Cash & Bennett are new to town and never thought anyone would mistake them for strippers but the two can’t deny their attraction for Julia.
Julia has low self-esteem due to an ex-boyfriend and can the men show her what she is worth? Can Cash overcome his own doubts about himself after an incident in the past and believe that he has something to offer Julia?
This was a great quick read that is filled with sizzling scenes!
I really liked Julia and I felt bad that she had no self-esteem when it came to love and relationships due to her previous relationships. She had absolutely no clue on why Cash and Bennett could be interested in her and she wondered if they knew about her family and their different relationships. I truly hate how men can alter how we feel about ourselves!
Cash and Bennett were pure alpha male and I always find it interesting when men share women yet have no attraction to each other. The scene on the phone was totally hot and it was definitely a way of bringing her slowly around!
It was interesting to see how Cash dealt with his own demons and how he wanted to run as he never felt good enough.

Skirt Steak is book five of the Grade A Beefcakes Series. This book can be read as a standalone, but for me, since Ms. Vale is really into detail about her characters I usually start with the first book of her series. The earlier characters somehow make an impact in the current book.
Julia Duke is the only sister of the Duke brothers. I liked her when she was introduced in book one. She’s feisty, sweet natured but a true freak. Her past relationship has her untrusting of the opposite sex and herself. Julia is leery of ever thinking she will find the right man, little does she know she’ll find not one, but two.
Cash is a city boy turned mechanic cowboy. Cash is rough, sweet but jaded from a past that people won’t let him forget. Coming to Montana is his way of starting over as owner of his uncle’s mechanic shop.
Bennette is a Motorcycle designer and mechanic. Rich bad boy with a sweet heart, moved to Montana to follow his H.S. best friend.
In each book of this series, the plot is always different from the last, which keeps the series fresh. Ms. Vale has a way of twisting the plot around so that, although the reasons for the plot are major, the coming out knowledge is not as bad as you first thought.
As always, Ms. Vale doesn’t disappoint I rated this book five out of five. The characters are really likeable, the plots are original and the men are lovable, but dominate.

Skirt Steak is the fifth book in the Grade-A Beefcakes series. Julia is surrounded by a lot of love, wondering if she will ever find her own, and is shocked when she opens the door to fall in lust with two strippers. Cash and Bennett are not there for the party, but for Julia, and they feel the pull, too! Julia’s been burned before by a man, so will she be able to open her trust and heart for two men, or will their pasts get in the way of their happiness?
I really enjoyed this book and it may be my favorite of the series! Julia, Cash, and Bennett were so good together, so passionate, so caring, supportive, and I just loved them! I giggled a few times reading this book, I wanted to hug Julia, I loved Bennett’s unfailing support of Cash, and this book just tugged at my heart in that perfect way. Julia has been badly hurt from her ex, so she was cautious to start something new, but I loved that once she gave in, she gave her men her all. Plus I loved that she was so surrounded by love from her brothers and cousins that she finally got her own story. Cash had some of his own demons he needed to conquer, which added a little heartache to their relationship, but I think Bennett was just the best, with his quiet love, support, and dominance. This is the fifth book in this series but can be read as a standalone, the couples from the previous books do make an appearance but you don’t have to know their stories to enjoy this book.
I’ve loved getting to know the Duke family and we finally get Julia’s story, it was worth the wait! Julia was full of self doubt so it was wonderful to see her meet her men and for them to to show her how wonderful she is and give her what she deserves. I loved how she meets them and her initial confusion over their identities had me laughing out loud! As with all the books in this series, it’s a short read but full of heat and steam that practically melts your kindle.
Although this is a quick read, the story flows well and doesn’t feel rushed, there’s a few twists and turns that keeps you turning the pages. I was fully invested in the three of them and was rooting for them all to have a happy ever after, another fabulous read from this amazing author.

Skirt Steak is the 5th book in Grade-A Beefcakes Series. We have already been introduced to the Duke boys and now we are introduced to Julia Duke (she is skirt steak) their sister.
All Julia’s brothers had names of steaks that it is only fitting that their sister has one too. Fortunately, there is a skirt steak which is fitting for a woman. I loved Julia’s personality. Her mouth seems to run away from her at times. Like when she first meets Bennett and Cash. She mistakes them for the strippers that she hired for Ava’s (Julia’s middle brother is marrying Ava) bachelorette party.
I found myself either giggling or just LOL while reading Skirt Steak. Usually it was something that Julia said or did. I loved it!
Julia wastes no time getting with the mistaken strippers, Bennett and Cash. There were sparks flying between these three!
I enjoyed reading this conclusion to this cuts of meat series! Sir Loin of Beef, T-Bone, Tri-Tip, Porterhouse and last but not least Skirt Steak. 4.5 stars

I enjoyed this story more than Jillian as there is more depth to the characters and they were easier to tell apart.
Julia, Bennet, and Cash met each other at the start of a bachelorette party then came crashing together later that night. While her truck is being fixed by Cash, Julia needed a ride home from the party but she never met him or Bennet before so she mistook them for entertainment.
Bennet, a loyal friend and motorcycle mechanic, followed Cash out west to start up their businesses after Cash had a run in with the law. Although innocent, Cash still has a lingering mark on his reputation which provides a hang up on his relationship between Julia and Bennet.
The Duke brothers and cousins are ready to throw down to protect their baby sister/ cousin.
While we don’t get a ton of depth with Julia, besides knowing she is in marketing and travels a lot, we do get reminded of her 💩 ex boyfriend. He did a number on her self-esteem.
Overall, fairly well written and little to no grammar mistakes. Good story.

Their first meeting with Julia will have you laughing out and they know that she is the one for them, but can they convince her, and will they let Cash’s past stand between them?
I loved these three together. The way that Bennett helped both Cash and Julia realize their worth will melt your heart and the chemistry between them is off the charts.

This author saves the best story of the series for the last. Julia has had to watch her brothers, cousin and their friends fall in love with a woman and she is left feeling “what about me”? When Julia is organizing a bachelorette party for her future sister-in-law things take a decidedly delicious turn when the “male strippers” show up. When Julia finds out the guys are not the entertainment for the night she is embarrassed but also intrigued because they have this undeniable chemistry from the beginning. Cash and Bennett are just as enamored with the Duke female as she is with them and they pursue Julia from the beginning. They help her overcome her insecurities her douche of an ex instilled in her and they do it perfectly. Can they convince her to take a chance with them? I am sad to see this series come to a conclusion, but I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next!!
