It's been ten years since Parker Drew and Gus Duke have seen each other, but it's like no time has passed. They were hot and heavy back then and the spark's still there now. But they're no longer fumbling kids and they know what they want... what they need. For Parker, that's giving up control to more than one guy. Gus is more than willing to deliver because he wants to share a woman with Kemp and Poe. One look and he knows that's Parker. All three big cowboys are going to give her everything she ever imagined... times three. Oh, she'll get so much more than just the tip.

Tri-Tip is book three in the Beefcakes series by Vanessa Vale. In this book we are getting to know Gus Duke, the third brother of the Duke family.
Gus is the youngest of the three Duke brothers. He is so happy for his two older brothers. Each of them chose to wait until they found the right woman that they could share with their best friend, and each brother had found that woman, they had found love. But Gus had to be different. He wanted to find a woman that he could share with not one but two of his best friends. He didn’t even know if such a woman existed. Gus is a veterinarian and shares a practice with his two best friends, Kemp and Poe. The three of them had gone to Vet school together and now not only shared a practice but also shared a home.
Parker Drew was Gus’s high school sweetheart. They were each other’s first everything. But when it came time to leave for college, they had different plans. Gus was going to Vet school and Parker wanted to go to law school. So, they parted ways. She’s been gone ten years. But now her mother is having some health issues and she wants to be closer to her. A position opened up as a temporary sheriff in Raines, Montana, where her mom lived, so she took it. She knew she’d run into Gus sooner or later. She wondered if he’d even remember her after all this time. On her rounds, Parker comes across a stray dog needing medical attention. A trip to the town Vet brings her face to face with Gus and his two very good looking partners. That something was definitely still there between she and Gus but she was also feeling something between she and his two other partners!
Gus had seen Parker previously but wasn’t able to speak with her at the time but he knew right away that this was their second chance. Parker was always the one that got away. But she was back now. He wasn’t going to let her get away again. He had done nothing but talk about her to Kemp and Poe so when she walked in to their office, they felt like they already knew her.
When Parker is at work, she has to be in charge. But away from work, she wants someone else to take over and make her forget about the stress of the day. Gus, Poe and Kemp are dominant. Especially Kemp. So it’s a perfect match. Except that a bad experience in Poe’s past makes him fearful of Parker’s job. He doesn’t want her in danger. He’s not sure if he can accept what she does for a living.
You know this had to be a steamy one with three hot men and one sexy police chief. With Gus and Parker, it’s a second chance love story, but with Parker and Kemp and Poe, it’s pretty much love/lust at first sight. But of course, there are a few bumps in the road they will need to work through before they can see if things will work out.
I am loving this series. It’s so much fun. I love this family. The three brothers have a younger sister who they are all ultra protective of so I’m thinking she might get her story next. But, I feel sorry for the men she falls for. They better be tough is all I can say!
I really enjoyed this installment in the series. Parker is a strong, capable woman and I liked that she didn't put up with anyone's crap. She was more than a match for her three men, Gus, Kemp, and Poe. They all had great chemistry and the sex scenes were well done and plentiful. Looking forward to listening to the next book!
Well, there really are no small packages in this, another super hot entry to the Grade-A Beefcakes series. Parker and Gus were each other’s firsts and when they met again years later, the attraction, the desire was full on. A lot has changed though. They’ve grown up, matured and there are more people to consider in their soon-to-be non-traditional matchup…
Whew! Turn up the fan because bold and brash does not begin to describe the passion and heat in this story! The words, the actions may make you blush but you certainly won’t turn away from the unabashed sensuality. These stories are short on pages but tall on impact as Gus, Kemp, and Poe immediately stated their intentions and then worked on fulfilling them. Different personalities, assorted baggage but these devoted men were all in accord when it came to Parker. This author puts you in their heads and hearts as you feel their every move….
This is small-town. It is second chance. It is too hot to dare reading at work! You’ll want to carve out enough time for this hot read plus the cold shower to follow… ~Diane, 4 stars
This story was just too unrealistic. I could understand Parker getting back with Gus who she had a relationship with 10 years ago but jumping into bed with his 2 buddies after just meeting them? Ah, no. The most interesting character in the book was the dog.
Parker Drew has returned to Raines, Montana as acting Sheriff until the elections in November. While she made it contingent that she would only hold the office until the elections, she also has a job with the DA office to step into. Returning to Raines will have her close to her mother, but what she wasn’t counting on was Gus Duke and his two vet companions from college, Kemp, and Poe. Gus and Parker were the first for each other and we hot and heavy the summer after graduation, but both had plans, attending college in different locations, and never tried to hold one another back. Now here they are, ten years later, and there is still chemistry between them, but there is also two more men involved.
“When it comes to you? I’ll share everything with Kemp and Poe.”
The plot will have Parker finding an abandoned dog, coaxing it her SUV and taking it to the vet where she will come face to face with her first love, Gus. After the dog is deemed ok, a shared lunch will be crackling with sexual tension and innuendos. Parker hasn’t been with two men but has always had the fantasy, and now Gus has invited her over for dinner—and more—including Kemp and Poe.
The story has its ups and downs, along with issues from the past for Poe, especially where it concerns Parker’s job as sheriff. All three men are dominant, and even though Parker is well trained and can hold her own, they have trouble wanting to let her go about her business. Will her job as sheriff interfere with their new found relationship? Will the people of Raines question her decision to be with multiple men? Trouble is brewing, but this sassy lady isn’t afraid to handle bullies and braggarts. Now, can the three men accept her position of authority for work, and allow her to submit to them in private?
There is so much sizzling passion when Parker, Gus, Kemp, and Poe get together. They are perfect for each other, they give as good as they get, and they have fun getting dirty together. The story includes D/s, explicit sex, and mild BDSM.
Tri-Tip is the third book in the Grade-A Beefcakes series and can be read as a standalone.
In this novel we not only get 1 lusty cowboy.... or 2 lusty cowboys.... But 3 very sexy in control cowboys.
Tri Tip is by far my favorite novel in the Grade-A Beefcakes series I loved Parker and Gus...but when you add Poe and Kemp...It's a freaking party! These foursome makes for some fun times and sexy as sin moments. I love me some cowboys!!!
If you enjoy adding an extra character (or two) in your romance reading, don't hesitate to pick this one up.
Vanessa Vale knows how to write hot and steamy romances with just about the best of them out there. And throw in a trio of guys with our one sweet girl? Yeah you got my dirty little secret in romance... hook line and sinker when it comes to a menage ya'll. Not many can do them just write but our girl here never has steered me wrong.
Tri-Tip is the next standalone in the hard and dirty beefcake series and as always, Vanessa did not disappoint, nor a single moment. This book was a sexy, steamy, sweet, insta-everything second chance romance that left a perma smile etched onto my face and had me swooning over not one.. not two... but three alphas.
If you like it easy, hard and fast then give this series a good, long ride.
I think these books in this series just get better with each one. Parker and Gus were each others first back in high school but they each went their separate ways. Parker is back in town as the temporary sheriff while Gus came back with his buddies Kemp and Poe. They want a woman to share between them and when Gus sees Parker again, he KNOWS she is The One. Parker has always known she wants more than one man but three? This is a hot story and Parker is a lucky woman!!! Things are going good but Poe's past still haunts him and it may bring trouble with it. Can the 4 get through a few major hiccups in their relationship to make it work? Get the book!!!
I loved reading Tri-Tip(Grade-A Beefcakes Book 3). All about Parker Drew is 28 and the acting Sheriff and Gus Duke is 28 a Veterinarian & his two partners Po and Kemp all BFF’s who want to share a women for life. All live in Raines, Montana a small town consisting of mostly farms and ranches. Parker & Gus we’re lovers the summer after high school, they sowed their wild oats with each other then went on to pursue their life goals. For Gus that was college then Vet school. For Parker that was college, Law school and then Police academy. They meet again when Parker finds a half starved dog out in a field on the edge of town. She brings it to the Vet in town and see’s Gus for the first time in twelve years. They both recognize one another, right away and while going out to get the dog they start to reconnect. The author wrote a story about a young women who has never felt totally comfortable in her body, and now that she has decided she’s just different the world opens up! Read about the three Vet’s and what they see in their future! And how Parker’s future may very well line up with there’s down the line!! This is the third book in this series, and it is hot with lots of angst going on. I can not wait to read book 4. I hope you will give The Grade-A Beefcakes a try, you will not be disappointed!! It’s all about the Duke family and how they keep tradition alive!!
This book is probably my favorite in the series so far. I loved that Parker was a bigger girl, and that Gus, Poe, and Kemp were still all about her. Although I did think that Poe overstepped a few times, but am glad they were able to fix everything.

_______________ Tome 4 : Voici Porter Duke.
Tri Tip was my first time reading Vanessa Vale. This was touted as a standalone book, but I feel like I would have gotten more out of it had I read books one and two first. Overall, it was about empowerment, and going after the things in life that are right for you.
Our plot leads Parker and Gus back together after ten years. Both have grown a lot-both in a physical sense and in ways of the world. After being hot and heavy together in high school, they parted ways. But fate brings them back together in their old hometown. I liked seeing how both characters grew in their time apart. A good second chance romance is always fun. This one has the added hunkiness and drama of two extra cowboys in Kemp and Poe.
I think I liked Parker the most out of all the characters. She's not just strong, she's vulnerable and shows her humanity and is easy to relate to. She strives to understand those around her, and herself; to make the world a better place and make all the hard decisions. Gus is excited to have a second chance with Parker. But now he has his two best friends with him in his veterinary practice and in life. They are looking for a woman who can be with all of them. Which works out well for Parker who is looking for more than one man in her life.
Holy heck, nothing forced or stilted here! Only smoking hot cowboys and one cowgirl. It starts off a little crazy for me with Parker's trust in the three, but it works for the book. And before long, panties are lost and lives are entwined (and limbs, so many). The three men have such distinct styles that I think it helps with the flow of not only the book but their love and sex.
This was a very fast paced book. Super easy to read in one quick but steamy setting. It was a fairly understandable book, though I wish I had the backstory of books one and two to help with some of the characters and setting. I liked how the author dealt with the stereotypes and differences to show that love is love and tolerance and understanding are of utmost importance.
This book was a erotic feel good read. It wrapped everything up neatly for the reader, even when the reader is stuck in a world where things aren't neat, tidy, or full of the book's tolerance and understanding. I can't say I'm going to go search out all of this authors books and read them all, but this one was a great weekend read and should I find others on my reading list, I know I'll enjoy them.
4.5 Stars This has a lot going for it and I am secretly pleased that it has been my first read of the new year. I thought the characterisation was absolutely on point, the author not only gave me characters that were easy to get to grips with but filled the story with a layer of humour that totally won me over, top that off with a story that was more than a little bit on the raunchy side of being taboo and I was smitten. From the title, you don’t ned to be a genius to work out the path the story was heading towards and I hands down admit that when I read the blurb, I was totally sold! I mean 3 guys, one girl and the fact that they are sexy as sin cowboys to boot…then give me more please! Gus, Kemp and Poe know what they want, a woman to share their lives …what they don’t know is who? Well, they might not have initially but it didn’t take long for all that to change when Parker, Gus’s ex from high school of all places takes up her position as the new town sheriff…oh this just got a whole lot more exciting. Gus knows in his heart that she is the one for him, he knows that she is adventurous and her likes and dislikes aren’t that dissimilar to his. He loved her before so for him, this is no different, except this time he has more to offer, and they come beautifully wrapped in the deliciousness that is Poe and Kemp. Once they clap eyes on Parker, it is safe to say that the game was most definitely afoot because let’s just say that they didn’t need much convincing that she was perfect for them but would Parker be interested in what this trio had to offer? Parker knows her own mind, she is a strong woman in a position of responsibility but she is also a woman that desires more than most and who doesn’t take long to start to wonder if the trio of Gus and his partners may just be what she has been missing in her life all along? The book had it all, it was delightfully passionate, more so that I had thought it would be, it was heartfelt, but not all plain sailing, there was just enough angst to keep me drawn to the story but not enough to make it hard work. The dynamic just worked between the 4 of them, they all knew what worked for them and despite a hiccup or two, especially between Poe and Parker, they found their own way to be happy. A solid read that kicked my year off with a flourish
Tri-Tip is the third book in the Grade-A Beefcakes series. Parker is the interim sheriff, moving closer to home to be close to her mom, but she doesn’t realize that helping a stranded dog is about to change her life. She runs into Gus, her old boyfriend and now vet, as she gets the dog checked out, and soon she’s meeting his two best friends, all intent on sharing Parker. Knowing she has unconventional needs, can Gus, Poe, and Kemp be everything that Parker wants and needs?
This book was simply delightful, with passion and heart and drama, all sucking me in and winning my heart! I love Parker, Gus, Poe, and Kemp! Parker had such an intense job, but she was willing to trust and submit to three men, so she was so strong! Gus, Poe, and Kemp all had different personalities, fulfilled different needs within Parker, and I loved that Poe had some issues he needed to work out when dealing with a strong and independent female. I think one of my favorite aspects about this book was that their relationship moves so quickly and very physically, that there’s issues they need to work out when real life seems to jump in. The passion between the four of these characters was intense and they all jumped right in with two feet. I have been loving this series, loved this addition, and love Ms. Vale’s writing!
Vanessa Vale is a goddess when it comes to writing a good menage book! She has again created characters that I really liked. TRI-TIP is about Parker, Gus (who readers have met in the other books in this series), and his friends Kemp and Poe. And she definitely brings some steam in this one.
This was a great book. It definitely had great characters (loved Parker most!), but it also emphasized strength. Parker is a really strong character, but she also has a very soft side that does get a little bruised in this book, but it definitely gets mended. She is not only strong because she can handle three men in a relationship, but strong in her confidence within herself and how she handles things.
The guys are no slouches either, but Poe has a bit of a backstory that I think showed a bit of self-consciousness. But Parker is able to help him in this, as are the other two men in the book. This is a story of a strong quartet, and I loved how once push came to shove they were all able to work out their issues.
Overall, I really enjoyed the book. The characters were great and the story was engaging. There is a strong female character, which I absolutely enjoyed, and dominant men that made it a spicy read! Great addition to Grade-A Beekcake series and I am definitely looking forward to seeing what else the author has up her sleeves. Two thumbs up for me! Happy reading!!
Parker has been away from home for ten years, but when she is offered a temporary position as the town sheriff that allows her to be closer to her mom, she can’t say no.
Gus Duke hasn’t seen Parker for ten years. They were hot and heavy in high school, and each other’s firsts. But, college and careers pulled them in opposite directions. But, now that she’s back in town, Gus knows it’s time they had a second chance.
Parker isn’t your average girl, however. She knows one guy isn’t enough for her. She craves giving up control to more than one alpha male in the bedroom. Lucky for her that Gus is willing to share her with not just one guy, but two and Kemp and Poe know from the start they’re all in.
Tri-Tip has been my favorite book of the Grade-A Beefcakes series so far! I absolutely loved Parker’s strength and just how well she knew her own wants and desires and wasn’t willing to take less than she deserves. I also enjoyed how each of the guys brought something different to the relationship. Gus is easygoing and flirty, Poe is emotional and overprotective and Kemp is super alpha and dominant. Together, they offer PArker everything she needs . . . especially a way to “turn off” her brain after a stressful day.
Tri-Tip had some great unexpected moments and was fun, flirty and full of steam. 4.5 stars.
Another great addition to series. The author has written us a great storyline with with fantastic characters and a taboo storyline that is hot, funny, erotic, romantic and has a touch of aghast as well. I mean what more could you as for.
This is a story of 3 cowboys, Gus, Kemp and Poe, who looking for the right woman to share their lives and bed. When Parker, Gus’s high school sweetheart and first love, returns to town as the temporary Sheriff, Gus thinks he’s found the one. When he runs into Parker at their Veterinary clinic, he introduces her to Kemp and Poe. All three men feel an instant attraction to Parker. But would she be willing to be with 3 at once and the kind of life these three cowboys want to live? As for Parker she is overwhelmed when she meets Gus’s partners at the Veterinary Clinic. She doesn’t understand her attraction to these three dominate men. Could they possibly be what she has always longed for?
This story will keep your toes curling and your heart melting as these four explore the possibilities of live together. If you like a little kink and taboo lifestyles, you will definitely love the Grade-A Beefcake series and Tri-Tip is a wonderful 5 star addition.
I'm loving this Grade-A-Beef series by Vanessa Vale. This is the third book in the series and I have to say that so far it is my favorite. Parker was an amazing woman who knew what she wanted and wasn't afraid to speak up once she found the right men for her. She was also strong and confident and I loved that about her, especially with the fact that she was a female currently doing a job that is mostly dominated by men. I also loved Gus, Kemp, and Poe. They were each unique and special in their own quirky way. I loved the fact that they were all able to share the same woman without putting up a fight or freaking out about something. Add in the fact that this was also a second chance romance between Gus and Parker and I was hooked. Of course we can't forget about Honey. That dog was awesome and so loyal right from the start. She helped add the spark to this story. I'm patiently waiting for Julia's story now. I want to see her as happy as her brothers! This was a 4.5 star read for me all the way. The sex scenes were perfect and not to drawn out. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.*
The newest book by Vanessa Vale ended up being a great read for me. This book featured newly returned to town Parker, reuniting with her high school boyfriend Gus, and also joining with his two best friends and partners in their vet clinic Kemp and Poe.
Once again Vanessa Vale gives readers a dynamic group of people coming together and forming their own kind of relationship and family.
Parker was a fierce, strong, independent woman who knows her desires cannot be satisfied by just one man. She ends up with three and in usual fashion for this author, all three of those men bring their own strengths and weaknesses to the table.
This very short story still had so much going on that it had no problems holding my interest. I also enjoyed revisiting with the rest of the Duke family whom I read about in the previous books. Now that all the Duke brothers have found their women, it's time for the Duke sister to find hers. I cannot wait for that book. I have no doubts I will enjoy it just as much as I enjoyed this one and every other book by this author I've read so far.
With each book in this series it seems they get hotter and hotter. With this book we don't have a ménage relationship we have a quad relationship...three men and one woman and holy moly are they H.O.T. together.
The difference in this book is that one of the men in the relationship, Gus Duke and Parker used to be lovers several years ago and they were each other's firsts! Needless to say, they've both matured and learned new things since they last saw each other and they've both discovered, the more people involved the better!!
I loved everything about this book. Each man in this relationship has their own strengths and weaknesses and they work so well together in and out of the bedroom. Because they're all somewhat alpha, although one is more alpha than the others, it allows Parker to submit and be taken care of which is what she needs to relieve the stress of being the temporary Sheriff of their tiny town.
If you're looking for a quick, sexy and dirty read that has lots of heart, this is the book and series for you!
http://jodiesbookreviews.blogspot.com In Long Oh how I love this series ! It's the third in the series and they are all as moreish as each other. I kind of get worried that one will disappoint but I am pleasantly surprised each time.
Tri Tip definitely stepped it up a gear though with not two but THREE hot alphas that all bring their own ingredient to this story and relationship. Yes, you heard me right, THREE!!!
Parker is a likeable character who really brings something different to this book than the others. I love how she's described as a 'bigger' girl with curves instead of the usual 'small petite character'. She also not a timid character who can't defend herself and I found this really refreshing.
I absolutely love the Duke family and lap up any scenes with them in, I would love for the next book to have more of this. It's a real gem to this series and I definitely wanted more of it in this book.
Final Thoughts Vanessa Vale writes such fun but emotion fuelled stories that takes the reader on a hot ride.
Tri-Tip is the 3rd book in the "Grade-A Beefcakes" series and can be read as a standalone. This story is of 3 cowboys, Gus, Kemp and Poe- they are looking for the right woman to share their lives and their bed. Parker was Gus’s high school sweetheart and first love returns back to town as the temporary Sheriff. Gus starts thinking he’s found the one for them. When he runs into Parker at their Vet clinic, he introduces Parker to Kemp and Poe. All 3 men feel this instant connection to Parker. Only thing is, would she be willing to be with 3 men ? Is this the kind of life that Parker can see- 3 cowboys and the Sheriff ? Parker is shocked when she meets Gus’s partners at the Vet Clinic. She doesn’t understand her chemistry, her connection to these 3 men. Could they be the ones she has been always looking for? What she has always been looking for? This story is full of heat, sizzle, romance, drama heart and soul.
I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, suspense, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first Sir Loin Of Beef (Grade-A Beefcakes #1) T-Bone (Grade-A Beefcakes #2)
This is Parker, Gus, Poe and Kemp’s story. Gus, Poe, and Kemp are all looking for that one thing that will complete them and it’s a woman to handle all of them. Parker is back in town and Gus can feel the pull that was always between them, but can Parker handle them all? Parker and Gus were an item before they went off to college and then drifted apart. She is back but is she ready for more then just Gus? Can she handle 3 men? Or was one all the man she will be able to handle? She’s about to find out just how tough and strong she is and if she can handle all the alpha that comes with these men.
I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, suspense, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first Sir Loin Of Beef (Grade-A Beefcakes #1) T-Bone (Grade-A Beefcakes #2)

Parker left town ten years to go to law school but she has returned home to be near her mother and has taken the job as the Sheriff. She knew it was only a matter of time before she ran into her high school sweetheart, but she hadn’t expected an act of kindness to lead her to the veterinary clinic he owns with his two best friends Kemp and Poe.
Gus had always believed that he would like to share a woman with his two best friends, but they had never found the right one. When Parker re-enters his life the chemistry between them is hotter than ever and he knows that she is one they have been waiting for and now they only need to convince her.
This is a second chance at love story with a hot twist. Parker is used to being in charge and making difficult decisions every day, but with her men she allows them to take control which only makes the chemistry and connection that much stronger. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
As is par for the course with this series for me, I really liked the heroine. Parker isn't your typical retiring, minuscule, virgin, and I was so happy to read about her I was almost able to forgive how poorly drawn the three men in this book are.
There is at least an effort to make one of the men (Poe) have a background that is important in the story, but the fact that the three men are vets ends up not really mattering much. And Kemp felt like he was just a placeholder. He could have been replaced with a dildo and nothing would have changed much.
I continue to applaud the author's use of lube.
The dog, Honey, was the best part of this book, which was thin on plot and character.
The second chance romance aspect with Gus Duke was nice, and that the previous books had an impact on this one was something I also appreciated.
I do continue to wish that the male characters were more distinct and less one-dimensional, interchangeable, cardboard cutouts.
This book takes everything you expect from a menage romance and kicks it up a notch! It's so hot, it melted my kindle into a puddle!
Parker and Gus were sweethearts, having had one perfect summer together, before going off to different colleges to pursue their careers. Years later, Parker is back in their home town, and just as attracted to Gus as she ever was. She was never able to quite let go of that perfect summer! Gus has also spent a lot of time thinking about Parker. She was the one that got away, the one that he compared everyone else to.
This book was just amazing. I can't get over how awesome it was. It was everything I look for in a menage romance and more. It had heat, instant attraction, commitment, enduring love, plus a little second chance romance thrown in there. This was a fun read, especially if you like your romance with a little something extra!
Reviewed on http://bookaddict.blog, Parker and Gus Duke were each other’s first love and sexual partners, so as soon as Gus knows she is back as he realises Parker is the “ONE” they have been waiting for. That is Gus, Kemp and Poe his partners in the Veterinary Clinic. When Parker comes home because her mother is poorly. So, while working Parker rescues a stray dog that needs treatment. When Parker arrives at the clinic and encounters Gus and the sexual zing is still between them. Then she meets two more grade A beefcakes and can’t believe all three want her, and she can’t wait to get to grip with three tall, well build studs. Well if you read Vanessa, this is a quick read with plenty of the hot stuff. I loved Parker a strong woman that just needed lots of sex so three men comes in handy. Off course its instalove, and quick read to put the smile on your face.
