- Reviewed in Australia on 4 January 2025Verified PurchaseI loved this so much. It was such a joy to read, in part because it has loads of emails and instant messages as the conversation and movement of the plot which has somehow become my favourite style. Falling in love online with someone’s personality and then also meeting them in real life and being attracted to them is such a wonderful situation and I will probably reread this book regularly.
- Reviewed in Australia on 7 January 2025Verified PurchaseThis book was a really enjoyable read. Just a quarter in and I was hooked, it was too hard to put down. I loved how it was so uniquely written with emails and texts, and its overall plot.

- Reviewed in Australia on 28 November 2024Verified PurchaseI will admit I was a little confused at first but then I got into the style of writing, now I'm addicted to it. I couldn't wait to explore each new correspondence wondering where it was all going. It's witty & mostly light-hearted but completely charming. There's a couple of typos but that's easy to move past. Once started I was unable to stop reading. Thank you :-)
- Reviewed in Australia on 23 October 2019Verified PurchaseNot much heat in this one, but I really did’nt miss it as I was so caught up in the emails going back and forth. The virtual world collides with the real world and things get pretty interesting. I really liked Jackson and Em, they certainly had some secrets and insecurities and this author took us down a very slow road, but it was surprisingly enjoyable. 4.5 stars.
- Reviewed in Australia on 18 March 2019Verified PurchaseOMG. This had got to be THE. best book I have ever read. Claudia thankyou so much. I loved Jackson and Emmiline, what an amazingly different story line. I couldn’t put it down, was dying to finish it then didn’t want to finish it because it was so amazing. I just loved it so much. Definitely my favourite book of all time..

5.0 out of 5 stars Quirky and fantastic
Verified Purchasei was intrigued by this one… most of the book is text and email exchanges. But i was drawn in and loved the banter between Any and Jackson. Turns out, i adored this book! It's tender when it needs to be, and getting to see the vulnerability and baggage of these characters and how they grow was perfect. This one is going on my reread list immediately. Heading off to get book 2 now…

2.0 out of 5 stars beetje onrealistisch, plot is niet verrassend

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely story of love and loss and how we need to take our chances.
Verified PurchaseLoved this story, the writing style is different yet very readable. The plot has 2 characters, each hiding themselves away yet able to communicate through texts and emails. This is a new twist on a boss and assistant romance, the female lead is feisty but has her own power dynamic, this is no push over love story.
The twist you know and you can see but that adds to the story. This is a really well written enjoyable story, the plot is strong and you genuinely like the characters, you are on their side hoping for that happy ever after.
Highly recommend reading this book as I loved it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good idea, the execution on the other hand...
Verified PurchaseI loved the first 20%, when there was only chat and emails, but as soon as we went into a more traditional way of telling the story, it all fell flat. The writing style is in desperate need of editing (the dialogues didn't flow at all, and sometimes the characters were saying the same thing in two different sentences next to each other.). So much so that i skimmed over entire pages. I liked the premise and the story had good potential but it fell short, unfortunately :(

5.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly amazing
Verified PurchaseThe first was confusing it's a first time I have read a dialogue format. But as the book continues it keeps you engaged virtually and in reality too. The reality of the characters strikes you somewhere deep and makes you want to live with the characters. Absolutely amazing written beautifully, emotions are so true and heart touching. Loved it.
