    Oh wow this book was just beautiful, I enjoyed every single word written. I honestly couldn't put this book down, and if you are after a quick easy read then this is it.

    Even though I say it was a quick easy read, it still covered so many emotions. I felt happy, sad, anguished, angry, tense and it made me actually cry. Loved it.

    Love at first site for the handsome Jack, only it wasn't to be. To be honest though I think married or not I doubt melanie would of dated him after the first impression he made on her, though maybe she would of seen through his bravado.

    They say things happen for a reason and that people come in to our lives to serve a purpose. Melanie was that person for Jack, even though they didn't date or even have a proper conversation, she made a huge impression on him and really helped him change his ways.

    Fast forward 5 years and add Amelia to the equation. He did not even question that she should be part of his life. He loved them both from the word go and Amelia I think definitely picked up on that as she trusted him from the start and adored him as a father.
    Melanie fought the connection but Jack just stuck around and let her have her thoughts, after all she is a mum first and just had to work out he meant what he said.

    So happy to read this book, my first by Jordan and won't be the last.

    Thanks for a great read and a lovely way to escape from my crazy busy life.

    Jordan Bates did a fabulous job with this book! I love the conflict and how she not only handled the main characters doubts and insecurities, but also that of a mother! Highly recommend this book to anyone that wants to read about second chance at love and second chance at living again!

    Even from the brief moment that he spent with Melanie Jack knew that she was special but finding out she was married quickly put an end to any thoughts of a future he might have had with her. Even though it’s been five years he hasn’t been able to move on so now that she is back in town, he isn’t about to lose her a second time.

    With the passing of her husband Melanie finds herself a single mother to her daughter Amelia so coming home to be close to her brother is exactly what she needs. She is conflicted about her feeling for Jack as she sees a man who is wiling to do anything for her and her daughter, but not everyone agrees that they should be together.

    I enjoyed both these characters as they are both trying to overcome their pasts for every different reasons.
