They’re a couple of control freaks, but they can’t control each other.

Adele
For years I was forced to live a life I hated, but I broke free, and now own a small real estate business. One that's deep in the red. In walks the robotic and rich Mr. Petrov in need of an agent. He's an answer to my problems, but also a mystery I need to uncover. Even his epic assholery can't dissuade my curiosity.

Michael proves he's no robot. He's so genuine I can't help but fall. As a shadow from my past threatens him and my sister, it's my responsibility to protect them. I take care of my own problems, and when Michael wants to step in, I make one thing white knights need not apply.

Michael
I'm ambitious, I'm successful, and I know what I want. I'm also frustratingly unsettled, searching for something I can never find. A place where I can be myself. Where I'll feel at home. My sexy new real estate agent knows what I need before I can say a word. She sees through me.

Adele makes me want to give up control, but trust is a word I've forgotten. How can I give myself over to her when she doesn't tell me anything about her past? How can I trust her? I guess it's a good thing she doesn't take no for an answer.

This is the second book I have read in this series and I have to say that it is PHENOMENAL! I could not get enough of this story. We have two strong main characters that are set in their ways and they don't take crap from anyone. They are Alpha Male and Female and that mix is awesome because I like to see who is going to give in first and I got a great surprise when I found out who gave in first in this story. Totally took me by surprise and I loved every minute of it.

Adele has her own Real Estate business and she is struggling until her friend introduces her to the very handsome and rich Michael. Michael is looking to put roots down somewhere and settle down. He is restless and tired of doing the same thing over and over again so he is ready to settle and with the help of Adele he will find a home to settle into.

Only these two never thought they would fall for each other and when they do trouble comes knocking at Adele's door and Micheal wants to help but Adele is used to doing things for herself. So it was funny watching these two alphas struggle to see who was going to win. I loved every minute of this story and it is a must read! So go out and one click the series and enjoy every alpha male in each story.

Bursting Out has me seriously bursting in emotions. Cheesy, I know, but so true! Ceri Grenelle has created a magically romantic world and I never want to leave it! I kinda just wanna stay lost in her words and pages forever.

Bursting Out gives us Adele and Michael. Omg, Adele. I think I love her more than Michael honestly. Adele is one of the most bravest, strongest, and sassiest chicks I've ever read. Everyone knows I love my sassy women. Adele is so blunt and honest with no filter, she loves hard and she fights hard for that love. She's surrounded by an amazing group of friends who have her back no matter what. Michael is comical in his stick up the ass ways. At first I saw him as a man with no emotions, but them as he let Adele in and showed more of himself I realized he has been waiting for the right person to help those emotions burst out. These two have had horrible childhoods, yet they didn't let that break them. They rose to the top despite what others thought.

Is it obvious yet that I loved this book? Ceri Grenelle is becoming a favorite author of mine and I find myself looking forward to each new release. Bursting Out is definitely a top read this year, it pulls you in so much! Laughter, sass, heartbreak, determination, and love mixed with Ceri Grenelle's amazing writing make this a definite five star book!

I received an ARC from the author and I’m happy to give my honest review.

This is the first full length novel I’ve read from this author. I’ve read her novellas in another series and really liked them. I was intrigued by the premise of this book, curious since the billionaire romance has been so over done. But it’s actually really well done and different than I expected.

Adele is an independent real estate agent in New York City. She loves her city and meeting her client’s needs. A friend recommends her to Michael who is searching for a place to finally call home. He’s a demanding client and she nearly cancels their contract until he loosens his control and lets her shine.

I liked the two together. They both had some pretty traumatic lives and were filled with guilt and turmoil. They brought out the best in each other and the relationship angst wasn’t super intense, which I appreciated. This is a nice slow burn and when the sparks finally fly it was hot. This author can write some hot bedroom scenes (although it was a long time before they even made it to a bedroom).

This was a fairly fast read but I did feel the pacing was a bit off and it was longer than necessary. I will definitely read this author again, especially because I want to know more about the other cast of characters like Theo and Kai.

Real Estate and Personal Mysteries in Manhattan

This contemporary romance had ongoing humor and an air of mystery which surrounded both the hero and the heroine that kept me turning the pages. The heroine, Adele, is a sassy up-and-coming real estate agent. Mr. Zelig was referred to her by a mutual friend. Mr. Z is very particular about what he is looking for in a property. He is so demanding that Adele nearly drops him as a client. They're both intrigued by each other, but each is wary of pursuing any relationship beyond realtor-client. Will this stand? And what are their mysteries? What will Adele think when she finally learned his identity?

The book has some of the standard issues with punctuation, grammar, and usage, but it did not overly detract from the story.

If you are looking for a contemporary romance with good humor, a broody hero, and a little bit of mystery, this book might be for you.

Bursting Out is Book 4 in Ceri Grenelle's Stupid Awesome Love Series and so far it is my favorite. To be honest I have not read book 3 yet but still.

Michael, Misha, Mr.Z, Petrov whatever his name is and Adele are so amazing together. Is it possible to develop a crush on both? 🤔 If it's not I must have just broken something because yes, I fell in love with them both. Adele is so funny that it was love at first line. Michael is one of those heroes that is not all Alpha. More like a cuddly teddy bear with a grizzly face. He looks tough but inside he is so nervous and shy that you can't not fall in love with him. The chemistry between these two is so amazing I'm going to have a book hangover for a while.

P.S. Watch out for the steamy scenes, may cause burns. 😉 Highly recommend!

I like romances that feature a strong female heroine! Adele was strong, smart, and was able to stand up to Michael and his oddly controlling ways. They made an interesting couple as Michael puts her through test after test in a way that Adele didn’t appreciate. I liked the way she finally put a stop to it by standing up to him.
Turned out this quirky couple ended being a good match as they were able to open up to each other and be vulnerable with each other.
Their romance and relationship grows as the story goes on. Romantic and sexy!

Adele is an estate agent, who's hiding something apart from the fact that she's changed her surname. She seems to have an aversion to wealthy men.
Michael also has secrets, he's hiding who he is and is keeping details of his past very close to his chest.
He contracts her to find him a home with impossible rules, she fights against him and won't treat him like everyone else. He finds that he likes her honesty and the chemistry between them. But life isn't easy and the past comes to haunt.
Can they make it through?
I was given this book as an ARC.

This is the first book I’ve read in the Stupid Awesome Love series; but it can be read as a stand-alone so it didn’t affect my enjoyment of the book.

Can I just say I loved this book? Adele is the most awesome, kick-ass, funny heroine I’ve read in quite a while. Her banter with Zelig in the early part of the book is brilliant.

Zelig/Michael/Misha reveals himself more and more throughout the book. Previously a closed off, lonely man who existed solely for his career and his one trusted friend, his layers are peeled away by Adele and the person buried deep at the centre comes ‘bursting out’ by the end of the book.

I loved the storyline, detailing the inner workings of New York elite society; I loved the chemistry between Adele and Misha(so hot it scorches the pages),and I loved the way the author wrapped all of this up into a book I couldn’t put down.

Adele is a hard working real estate agent who is just trying to take care of herself. Mr. Michael Zelig who was referred to her by a friend comes to her looking for a property. Only he is so uptight and demanding that she considers ending the job, but is also having a hard time fighting her feelings for him! Michael finds himself attracted to Adele, but he has trust issues that he can’t get past. Will they give into their attraction to each other?

I loved Adele a lot. She is a fun character with lots of charm and energy. She wants to make her way in the world without having to depend on others. Through the story you slowly learn what brought her to being this way. Then you have Michael who is co closed off to others at first that he doesn’t want to form attachments to others even though under the stoic exterior he has lots of emotions for others. I loved watching these two come together. Cannot wait for the next story in this series.

Adele ran away from a life she didn't want. From years of abuse at the voice of her mother. She's changed her name and is ready to take on the world one property at a time. She had spunk and personality. She is taking on the very secretive Mr. Petrov, is he ready?

This series gets better and better as it goes on. I loved the banter back and forth and the characters personality you get so see bloom as the series goes on. Can't wait for the next one!

The fourth book in the Stupid Awesome Love series a well written story that held my interest throughout. Bursting Out is the first book of this series and by this author that I have read, and I loved reading it. My first impression of Adele is of a free spirit to Michael's stick in the mud. I loved following story these two very opposite people who also have much in common. I found myself drawn into their story, and look forward to reading the other books in the series.

The plot is not to bad but some part of this story are way too slow. Also there is a bit too much of thing who conviniently click together.

Ceri Grenelle is an interesting new to me author. When I came across the plot of “Unconditional You” the 5th book in the Stupid Awesome series I applied for an ARC and while doing that I was asked if I wanted to read any of the previous books in that series so I checked the plots.

I learned long ago to usually trust me first impression (others call it gut feeling) so when I checked the plots of the previous books I felt that the first two might not be for me – so I refrained from asking for a copy but the third book I wasn’t sure . I like damaged characters – I like them a LOT – but usually I need the male character to be the damaged one – there are very little books that “do it for me” where it is the opposite way – so I was going to also refrain from reading it but then there was the fact that the male lead was a musician – and I have such a hard time saying now to those … #sigh … so I thought – OK let’s try – well needless to say I should have listened to my gut – the book was not for me … And I cannot even tell you precisely why. One thing was the writing style – I sort of felt like I fell into the book and was missing something. So maybe the book is not doing so well without reading the previous ones? Not sure.

That was the moment when I got kind of scared – because I really liked the plot of the 4th book “Bursting Out” and there is still the 5th book to come – the one I originally applied for to read. Not liking the plot of a book is a lot different from not liking the writing style … So when I opened “Bursting Out” I was surprised – and I mean REALLY surprised – this book was perfect for me – I loved the plot – I loved the writing style and I loved the characters.

So what happened - ?

Well I guess Ceri Grenelle is one of these authors where at least I have to really go with my feeling for the blurb – if I am not sure about that one – go with the Beatles and LET IT BE … BUT what does that say about the author? Well I guess I have to read the third book to confirm my thoughts but I really think that this author might have the crazy awesome ability to listen to the characters when writing their story. Which basically means that her writing style changes depending what the leads tell her while their story develops. I know how weird that sounds but believe me I have thought about it for several days and this is the only way to explain it … because at my hands I have two books that are that have connecting yet standalone stories with characters. They appear on and off in the books so their stories are close.

Still I have a (very sorry) 2 Star book and a (must read) 5 star book directly following each other here in my hands – that is what I call a reading experience … crazy right ? So what do I do now ? Well I was asked for an honest opinion so here it is. But to be fair to the 2 Star book I decided to write my thoughts like this so the next person reading this will know – even though “Stark memory” was not for me it is still a pretty awesome book. And I can recommend “Bursting Out” from the bottom of my reader’s heart. And I am really looking forward to the next book in that series to confirm what I am thinking so far …
