Laugh Out Loud and Slap Your Thigh kinda RomCom which had me hooting with laughter at EVERY PAGE! First of all I think Laura is Leroy, hear me out, cause how do you think like a man SO PERFECTLY. It's like she grew D and Balls just for the book! Omg it was so typically authentic Male POV, it was freaky. I come from a family of pompous, cocky men and they all speak and think like Brody Harris !! So on that count....WELL DONE Laura!!
Usually, all I care about is whether they want it hard and dirty or slow and dirty. Reverse cowgirl or doggy-style? Face-sitting or getting licked from behind? I’m sure you get the point.
She has this je ne sais quoi quality about her,she’s the perfect combination of a porn star and the girl-next-door.

The build up of sexual chemistry is constant but not too much so we lose interest and not too little to make it unbelievable, it's just the right amount of time spent on banter and innuendos. The sex which eventually happens is hotter and uncontainable like the current fire in Yosemite Park (bad example, but you get the point). This book…was the perfect book I needed to read today. From the opening scene…
“I took some Iagra-vay and I think my ick-day may be oken-bray”
It’s from this opening scene, we truly get a grasp for who Brody Harris is. A 24-year-old playboy. One that has no filter and tells everything the way he sees it. He’s a playboy attending graduate school, studying to become a Aerospace Engineer. So not only does he have the playboy moves, he’s pretty darn smart.
Rainey is the nurse from that most memorable visit that Brody made to the local hospital. She’s someone who Brody can’t get out of his head. There are things going on in Rainey’s life that prevent her from taking a bite of the apple known as Brody.
Brody is a tough cookie when it comes to pursuing a gal. When he laid eyes on Rainey, he wanted her. It’s been years now and they are friends. He can’t believe that their friendship has gone on this long without bedding her yet.
The banter between these two is really something! Turning pages as quickly as I could read the words, this book had me hooked. What a great story Laura Lee brought us with this one. I am off to check out her other books!!!

Deal Takers is the second book in the Dealing with Love Series by Laura Lee, but fear not if you have yet to read Deal Breakers, the first book, no worries this book can be read as a standalone. I will warn you though once you read this book you will want to go back and read Devyn and Riley's book.
“I took some Iagra-vay and I think my ick-day may be oken-bray”
Can you tell by this tiny excerpt that this was a fun read? The banter between Brody and Rainey was great, I mean sometimes I had tears rolling down my eyes from laughing so hard especially when Brody first meets Rainey in the hospital where she's a nurse and he has to explain what he is doing there.....so he does it in pig Latin! Seriously folks this is a grown man speaking in pig Latin about taking a little blue pill and the lasting effects...too funny!
This book isn't only laugh out loud funny, it is also serious at times, and sexy as all get out at others. The chemistry between Brody and Rainey is perfect since this book spans over several years we get to watch the relationship develop between the two from a slow simmer, which Rainey totally ignores, to a raging boil. Broady and Rainey really do know how to heat up the sheets together, the only question is will she allow there secret to become something more.
I would recommend this book to everyone, I honestly don't think there is a specific type of reader that this should be recommended to. You have humor, friends-to-lovers, great chemistry, good story line that crosses over the first book in the series later on in this book so if you have read it that's a bonus for you and if not you really don't need to, and did I mention the HOT sex scenes...so yeah I think just about everyone will enjoy this book. EXCERPT - BRODY POV
If you would’ve told me a year ago that I’d be driving to the beach, my Suburban loaded with baby gear, I would’ve said that you were certified batshit. The kid’s not mine, but his stuff is taking up half the cargo area nonetheless. Drew appointed me chauffeur this weekend because I was the only one with a vehicle that could accommodate everything. Not that I’m complaining, mind you. I’d pretty much give my left nut to spend more time with my favorite ginger, even if it’s just driving in the same car.
Speaking of the birthday girl, I glance in the rearview and catch her staring at me. Again. She averts her eyes immediately and starts fussing over Drew’s nephew. We’ve been on the road for almost two hours and we’ve done this dance at least a dozen times. I smirk as my eyes roam down to her bouncing tits and I discreetly adjust the semi they’re causing.
“Damn it, Brody!” Rainey shouts as we hit a pothole. “I swear to God you’re doing that on purpose! How many friggin’ potholes can you hit today?”
Okay, I may be aiming for every rut that I can find. Lucky for me, the highway to the beach isn’t maintained very well. Also lucky for me? Rainey’s bra is not all that supportive.
“Why would I do that?”
“Because you exist to drive me crazy?” she suggests.

“Okay, you two,” Devyn interrupts. “Save the bickering for when there isn’t a child in the vicinity.”

Okay so maybe taking Viagra wasn’t the smartest idea after all. Let me be clear that I don’t need it; I’m a healthy twenty-three-year-old guy. And I’m hung like Justin Bieber, only thicker. Yeah, I saw the pictures online—color me curious. But back to my predicament: My buddy swore the little blue pill is the ultimate sexual enhancer so I decided to partake. I’d like to point out that most guys don’t regularly get the chance to have a horizontal party with two hot sisters and said chance was presented to me on a silver platter. Before you get grossed out, they’re step-sisters so it’s not as weird as it sounds. And did I mention how fucking hot they are? We’re talking Pamela Anderson from the good ol’ Baywatch days. Not current Pam because let’s face it; a Susan Sarandon she is not. I mean seriously, could Suz be any sexier? She’s aged like fine wine—a vintage I’d drink like a motherfucking Slurpee. Great, now I’m thinking about banging hot MILF’s which certainly isn’t helping my boner situation. I’ve always had a thing for older women.
Anyhoo, I’m getting off track again. Where was I? Oh yeah, I’m sitting in the Emergency Room parking lot talking to my painfully hard dick. The commercials warn that you should seek medical attention if your erection lasts more than four hours. Well, here I am, EIGHT hours and TWO ROUNDS with the sisters later, with a fucking hard-on that won’t quit. If I didn’t know better, I’d swear I was being punk’d. Who would’ve ever thought I’d be complaining about my dick staying hard for too long? If you’ve never suffered this cruel fate, let me assure you; it fucking hurts. I think I may have actually broken the poor guy. He’s raw from way too much friction and don’t even get me started on how difficult it was to take a piss.
Think, asshole! Think! I close my eyes and concentrate on some of the most non-erotic things I can think of: Kittens. Grandma Ethel. Munchkinland. I slam my head back into the seat, take a deep breath, and groan in frustration. I rip the keys out of the ignition and slide out of my truck as carefully as possible. With the front of my shorts tented in the most obvious way possible, I stroll through the automatic doors of North Seattle Memorial and walk up to the lady at the front desk. The look of revulsion on her face as she eyeballs my pocket rocket matches my level of embarrassment.
“May I help you?” she inquires with a side order of stink eye.
“Um…” I nod toward my bulge. “I think I should see a doctor about this.”
Her eyebrows reach her hairline. “What seems to be the problem, sir?”
“My erection-way won’t go own-day,” I whisper in mediocre Pig Latin. “I took some Iagra-vay and I think my ick-day may be oken-bray.”
“I see. So, your chief complaint is that you took some Viagra and you think you may have broken your penis as a result?”
I glare at her. “Lady, do you not know the purpose of Pig Latin?”
I swear to God her lips twitch. “I’m sorry, sir, but the purpose behind Pig Latin is not in the Employee Handbook.”
“Well, it should be,” I mutter.

Brody has always been a ladies man, and ending up in an embarrassing situation because of women isn’t a surprise, the surprise was meeting Rainey.
For four years Brody and Rainey build a weird playful sort of friendship where he hits on her and she rejects him, till her engagement falls apart. Maybe it’s time to put his money where his mouth is.
I laughed, had a few tears at her insecurities and rolled my eyes at these two. They were made for one another. It made a younger man, older women scenario explode in fireworks. Age is just a number and maturity doesn’t have to make you boring or less annoying just ask Brody.
I cannot wait to finish book 1 that I collected to read with this story. Will be all over Drew’s story when it’s completed.

For four years Brody and Rainey build a weird playful sort of friendship where he hits on her and she rejects him, till her engagement falls apart. Maybe it’s time to put his money where his mouth is.
I laughed, had a few tears at her insecurities and rolled my eyes at these two. They were made for one another. It made a younger man, older women scenario explode in fireworks. Age is just a number and maturity doesn’t have to make you boring or less annoying just ask Brody.
I cannot wait to finish book 1 that I collected to read with this story. Will be all over Drew’s story when it’s completed.

From the cover to the synopsis, Deal Takers had me hooked from the very beginning. The first sentence in the opening scene had me laughing and excited to keep reading until the very end. The story was full of charm and second chances that will leave you wanting for more.
As I mentioned before, the story starts off with a hilarious scene where we are introduced to Brody Harris, a grad student who was just looking to have some fun and ended up taking way too much viagra. This leads him to the ER where he meets a feisty nurse, Rainey O’Neil. He is immediately attracted to her and he flirts with her nonstop. There has never been anyone able to hold his attention like her and he wants to see her again. But she keeps shutting him down and that makes him even more interested in her even after finding out that she is taken. Brody knows that he has to go back to grad school and finish his Aerospace Engineering degree, but promises to come back to see her and that’s exactly what he does. As time goes on they form a strong friendship due to to being around the same group of friends all the time. Even years later, Brody is still as charming as he was before and things start to change between them as they get to know each other better. But just when there is a possible of a forever for them things start to get tricky and it’ll be up to him to decide if fighting for Rainey is worth it or not.

As their friendship grows the more she leans on him and the possibility of something more between them gets all too real and she is scared of getting hurt again. Rainey knows that Brody is different and he has been there for her since day one, but after a series of events happen she is not sure if Brody is the one for more.
I absolutely loved reading this story, it was entertaining and charming. From the very beginning we get to see the banter between these two characters and it was totally swoon worthy! Brody is not only good looking and smart, he is also kind and attentive towards Rainey. He pays attention to her likes and dislikes and he just knows what to do make her happy. They do tend to flirt a lot and the romantic scenes were HOT! I couldn’t stop reading the book (hence why I finished reading it in one day) it was that good! I do wish the author could have given us an epilogue at the end, it would have made it that much better. The ending was still great nonetheless and it all works out for them. I’m excited to read the next book in the series, cannot wait to see what happens to the rest of their friends. I would highly recommend reading this book, you will not be disappointed! :)

Deal Takers is the second book in the Dealing With Love series by Laura Lee. OMG! I laughed so hard at points through this book that I had tears streaming down my face. This is one of the funniest and best RomComs that I have EVER read! (And I have read a lot). But, there is a lot more to the story than just some fun and giggles. There is passion, pain, emotion, chemistry, and tension- with a story that really coaxes you in, grabs you by the hair and then won’t let go! I wouldn’t have put it down anyway, I was way too immersed in the story and completely invested in the characters and the outcome of their story. The characters really are the jewels in this crown- they’re funny, witty, endearing, a little flawed, realistic, and so very interesting and entertaining. The story is told from a duel perspective, and Ms. Lee manages to capture a male perspective incredibly well. It was like having Brody in the room with me, seeing and hearing him in bold technicolour vision and surround sound. I expected Rainey’s perspective to be spot on, and it really was- but I think the way Brody is written, his big, confident personality really shines through and takes this story to a whole new level of awesomeness!
The chemistry between Rainey and Brody was electric- with the sexual tension dialed up to ‘HIGH’- sparks flew, zinging and sizzling and singeing the pages- so when these two finally get together there is an explosion of HOT intense passion that took my breath away and left me weak in the knees!
This book could be read as a standalone, but there is a crossover of characters and some storyline from the first book in this instalment which will intrigue you about what happened in book one- so do yourself a favour and read the first book before beginning this one- you are sure to love it just as much as I do!!
I can’t wait to read the third book, Drew and Charlee’s story- we get a sneak peek at the end of this book- and it looks set to be fantastic!

Cute, light hearted, and funny Deal Takers had me jumping back and forth between giggling and swooning on every page. Brody and Rainey have a bit of a slow burn, which isn’t typically my favorite, but the banter and chemistry between them was so insanely good I didn’t even notice. Actually, that banter with those sparks was nearly like foreplay for these two.
I really enjoyed starting from the past and seeing every bit of all Brody and Rainey went through. From the seriously hilarious to the heartwarmingly sweet the pull between them was there from the start and the friendship they built only made things even better. These two had something undeniable from the start, even if someone *cough* Rainey *cough* really did try to pretend it wasn’t there it was a losing battle. All in all, this was an adorable sweet read I throughly enjoyed.

I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time! From the first sentence I knew this was going to be a book I enjoyed. I absolutely love Brody, he is a walking talking sexual innuendo and super hot, so exactly my type :) Rainey is just as hot as Brody, and together they are explosive. This book has more than just laughs though, there is some pretty angsty moments thrown in there. But really Thor is the reason I kept reading, j/k, maybe ;) This is my first book by Laura but will not be my last. Thanks Heather for telling me I needed to read this!!

I don't think their will be one woman that reads this book and wouldn't want their own Brody the guys hot and super funny with a slight bit of cockiness about him!
That's what makes this a very good rom-com book, Brody who you could say is a bit of a man-whore and Rainey who's pretty unlucky in love that is until Brody and Rainey meet under very embarrassing circumstances and Brody is immediately enamoured by her looks she's the whole package for him.
Rainey never anticipated seeing Brody again until the meet through mutual friends, Brody's very relentless when it come to Rainey and is a huge pain in the backside but she loves it really she just won't admit it!
Rainey's heart is locked up tight can Brodey be the one to hold the key?
I can easily say this is one that I will forever remember I loved every word, the comedy factor is amazing as is the characters and the story line Laura Lee is new to me but I will definitely be reading more of her books.

My first Laura Lee romance read and I LOVED IT!
This book is hilarious and hot. I was either laughing out loud or fanning myself. Between the two, both my hands and abs got a workout.
Brody and Rainy meet in what has got to be my favorite meet cute ever and from that moment I was invested in their love to hate you relationship.
He’s single and likes to mingle (a lot). She’s engaged and not immune to his charms (no worries, there is no cheating). Add in the fact that she’s older than him and you have the makings of a fantastic, read in one sitting romance.

Who would ever think that you find your one true love at the most embarrassing day of your life Brody didn't so he is your classic party man that could have any woman he wants ,but when he meets a feisty red with a mouth. Rainey thinks her life is going in the right direction with having her dream job ,and a man she believes is the right one nothing could go wrong right that is until Brody walks into her life and brings surprise after surprise. This book has a lot of funny moments and a lot of heart felt ones as well it is worth a look at and once you do you will be asking for more.

Hilarious, hot, sweet, and perfect!
This is my favorite rom-com that I’ve read this year! As soon as I started it I was laughing my butt off and couldn’t put it down. I was hooked on the story line and invested in the characters.
Brody is the typical bad boy, playboy. He has an ego to match the size of “Thor.” He, as proven in his history, can get whatever girl he wants. That is, until he meets feisty, confident Rainey on an unexpected trip to the ER. He refuses to give up without a fight! I couldn’t get enough of their banter! Their chemistry sparked off the pages, and it caused an awesome amount of sexual tension that we just waited to watch explode.
These two have the absolute best meeting that I’ve read in a long time. I was laughing so hard I was crying. It was so hilarious. The comedy doesn’t stop there though! This was the perfect rom-com.
I loved seeing the whole gang again from the previous book. You can read this as a standalone but I highly recommend you check out the first in the series, Deal Breakers, first. You will get to know so many of the characters and fall in love with them just like I did!
Told in dual POV this story allows for a hilarious, and sometimes emotional, look directly into both of the main characters minds. It made connecting with them very easy and I couldn’t help but fall in love with both of them and become their number one fan!

OMG first I have to say that this series is getting better and better with each book. This is the second book in the series and I have to say that I loved this one more than the first because HOLY HADES does Laura know how to write from a mans perspective. I have never ever laughed so damn hard in my life but this book is so damn funny I was laughing so hard I was crying.
Brody is the man and lord have mercy he is something else. He is a play boy like no ones business. He is a one night kind of guy and moves on. That is until one night he and his friends do something stupid that lands him in the emergency room staring at one gorgeous woman and tells her exactly why he is there in the emergency room and man oh man is it one hilarious and wild story.
After leaving the emergency room he and the gorgeous nurse Rainey become friends. But as time goes on Brody wants her and doesn't understand why he has slept with her yet. But Rainey is no fool and she has had a bad experience in a relationship so she is cautious and keeps things platonic between them until one day all their bantering and flirting lands them in bed. Once they sleep together things change for them but is it for the better or for the worse you decide! This is a must read for all romance lovers out there!

So it’s apparently just the author
I decided to give this author one more shot before adding her to my “do not read” list. This book is exactly the same as the last one, she just switched the trope and the characters names. The guy is a manwhore who spends years supposedly in love with the heroine, while screwing a completely ridiculous amount of women. She just like the previous heroine, is only with one other person who she was in a long term relationship with. Shockingly, 🙄, she doesn’t believe him when he claims to be in live with her. She is a little gunshy because she has been cheated on 4 times.. He immediately (its the very next scene) runs off to screw another woman. She is almost naked on him, he is sucking her breast. Then he has some inner monologue about not being Ross Gellar and cheating on a break. That would have actually been funny if the author had had him have that thought before he brought her home and got intimate with her. Let’s say his manwhore self had the though when she first hit on him? Or how about your characters just stop saying they are in love while screwing a bunch of random women?!?! I just don’t get it. Do you not respect women, or yourself? Two books in a row where the men are supposedly nice guys who get the women with not grand gesture after being douchebags (who have screwed about a hundred women) where does this come from? Why, just why? Who finds this attractive? In the first book it was definitely unneeded being that he bailed on his kid and she spent years only able to focus on raising her son. In this one it was just awful the way the author had you in his head as he was (and I quote) “balls deep” inside another woman. Good God this was awful. If you can’t write a book where the characters just focus on each other and can keep their dicks out of other women for a minute, then please do us all a favor and don’t write? The writing just wasn’t good enough to support having these douchey guys. I can can get behind and asshole lead, but not this type of behavior.

These characters are nothing short of ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! I was drawn into this story immediately. The guy was hilariously persistent and absolutely dreamy. The stubborn heroine was his perfect match. This is a top read for me. It had everything you need in a love story. Angst, steam, twists, and parts that leave you giggling and gasping for air. I will be recommending this story everywhere!

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I loved this story. Great characters and storyline, plus the chemistry was great. The story is about Lorraine, Rainey and Brody. Rainey is a nurse in the OB Ward at a hospital in Seattle, The Day The Story begins she's actually working in the emergency room because they're short-staffed. She has been dating a guy named Adam for a while, technically they are engaged but she can't tell anyone because they work together. Brody is in grad school and is home for spring break, he is ends up in the emergency room where Rainey works because Drew gave him a Viagra and 9 hours later it still won't go down. So imagine his surprise when Rainy walks in and his weakness is gingers it really won't go down now. He hits on her asked her to go out but she turned them down. Rainy is a very caring person and befriends a single mom, Devlyn just just recently had a baby boy named Nathan. Imagine both Rainy and Brody surprised when they find out they have mutual friends. there is a instant Chemistry Between the two but because of Rainy's relationship with her fiance she denies it so it becomes more of a brother sister teasing relationship. As The Story Goes On Their friendship develops more but still trying to deny their true feelings but that comes to a head one evening after rainy get stood up. So imagine Brody surprised when he sees her passing by alone he offers her to go to dinner with him at the restaurant his sister works at. Big shock when they walk in and they see Adam, Rainy's fiance with another woman, his wife, and she's pregnant. Rainy freaks out and brody punches him as they leave. Brody is afraid to leave her alone because she so upset but she gets too drunk and tries to put the moves on so she can forget Adam. Not that Brody doesn't want this but he doesn't want her to be drunk and for regret it the next morning. get them some more time and they discussed about having a Friends with Benefits relationship in secret . That goes great until they both start develops feelings for each other. Follow them on their Adventure as they try to determine how to keep it a secret, trying not to hurt each other and for Rainy to actually trust the Brody isn't going to hurt her. It's a great story I definitely recommend reading it. It definitely has a HEA.

When Rainey attends to a hot guy in the hospital where she's a nurse, she's quite amused at his predicament. A predicament he never would have been in if he hadn't taken a certain blue pill before his night with two women. Yep, it's as bad and amusing as you can imagine. But when that hottie hits on her, it leaves her with a less than amused impression of him. So then imagine her surprise, and distaste, when she's introduced to her new friend's brother's friend, yep, you guessed it, the annoying hottie who had the nerve to hit on her after he landed in her hospital because he'd taken a blue pill for a night with two women. And that sets the stage for Rainey and Brody's evolving I guess you'd call it a friendship that spans a few years, before they finally morph into more.
By the time they started their fwb situation I was thinking, "it's about time!!" They'd been dancing around their attraction to each other for literally years. But because Rainey was engaged the whole time, she would never step over the line. Until the day she was no longer engaged, then all bets were off. But, can Brody ever convince Rainey that he wants much more with her than just sex? Or will she vehemently stick to their fwb situation even though it's so obvious they both want, need, more from each other.
I have to say right here, that when the inevitable end of their fwb arrangement came around, I wanted to smack Rainey for the way she handled it. She was completely and unnecessarily mean spirited and flat out bitchy to Brody. If I were him, her half-hearted attempt at apologizing would not have been enough for a second chance. But, Brody loved her so he was only too thrilled to have her back in his life. And because I loved Brody, she got a pass from me - barely. Aside from Rainey, though, I loved everything else about Deal Takers. It's steamy and witty and their banter is off the charts snarky and sexy! I am definitely looking forward to more from this author.

Or will she vehemently stick to their fwb situation even though it's so obvious they both want, need, more from each other.
I have to say right here, that when the inevitable end of their fwb arrangement came around, I wanted to smack Rainey for the way she handled it. She was completely and unnecessarily mean spirited and flat out bitchy to Brody. If I were him, her half-hearted attempt at apologizing would not have been enough for a second chance. But, Brody loved her so he was only too thrilled to have her back in his life. And because I loved Brody, she got a pass from me - barely. Aside from Rainey, though, I loved everything else about Deal Takers. It's steamy and witty and their banter is off the charts snarky and sexy! I am definitely looking forward to more from this author.

If a guy looks like a Hemsworth brother (seriously, that gene pool is sheer nirvana) and names his "hammer" Thor, it's pretty much a given I'm going to like him! Book two of Laura Lee's Dealing with Love series starts off with a bang and I haven't laughed so hard in quite a while!
Brody and Rainey meet in the most awkward, and memorable, meet cute of all time when he is forced to make an ER visit on behalf of...his hammer. Falling in instant lust with your nurse while in his predicament isn't the best idea but Brody wasn't exactly thinking with his big...brain. He's a smart guy, pursuing Aerospace Engineering, isn't exactly easy but he's also a bit of a slut. So color him curious when weeks later, he's still obsessed with the curvy, ginger nurse. Finding out she's best friend's with his buddies sister puts them in close proximity and gives him more than enough opportunity to lay on the charm, which she turns down every time with plenty of snark. They fall into an easy routine over the years and their pushback is hilarious.
After four years, their banter hasn't played out and he's still just as crazy about her. After being hurt by every guy she's ever been with, Rainey is more than a little gun shy of his player ways but she can't deny she's been hot for his hammer forever, so it makes sense to take him for a ride. Agreeing to a friends with benefits relationship, with a no harm, no foul escape clause, these two light the match on their already explosive chemistry! Allowing Thor to obliterate all other guys in his wake wasn't part of the plan, Rainey and Gina (her lady bits) just wanted to have some fun but when Brody gets serious about more than sex, she is terrified of making the same mistake again.
I loved this laugh out loud book! Hilarious, punny and surprisingly sweet, it was fantastic! I devoured it in one day and eagerly await the car crash of Drew and Charlee; it's going to be epic, I just know it!

The story Deal Takers (Dealing With Love Book 2) by Laura Lee is a romance book that when reading I had a constant smile on my face and frequently laughing out loud. The story got my attention from the first chapter and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. This is a book that has plenty of sarcasm and innuendos. There is plenty of bantering/dirty talking between the two main characters. They have a strong physical attraction to each other. Sometimes the past can have an effect on a person’s current actions. She wants things casual, no emotions, no commitment. He knows that she is the one. Can he get her to admit her feelings for him? Will he be able to make her see how serious he is about a relationship with her or will her emotions make her walk away from him? I loved reading about the character of Rainey O’Neil. She is a nurse who is caring and compassionate. She is someone who is looking for the right man in her life. She, however, has not had success in the relationships that she has been in. The one that is falling for her is handsome and has a large ego. He is experiencing feelings toward Rainey that he has not had with other women. Let's just say that Rainey uses colorful language to describe him at times. This story has some very steamy scenes that are guaranteed to make the temperature in the room rise. Read to find out if these two find happiness and end up together. This is a well-written story that I highly recommend reading. It is the second book in a series and I look forward to reading the next story.

Holy hotness overload! This book took my breath away in so many ways. I think it would be more proper to give this FIVE Thor hammers, rather than stars, but nonetheless it gets FIVE! I am a cemented fan of Laura Lee now and I can’t wait to see what comes next in this series!
So in all we get a great rom-com out of this. It isn’t the average rom-com mistaken love type of novel. Instead it’s a slow burn, slow build, romance with lots of comedic relief to keep you balanced while reading. I felt the gambit of emotions while reading this though and loved every second of it. Lee really does a great job of balancing things and weaves a wonderful love story.
Let’s talk Brody for a second… Yeah totally, a walking, talking, epitome of arrogant alpha male. He fits his description of Thor, and such mentions of likeness gives you a whole different look at Thor for the rest of your life! He wouldn’t be the man I would touch with the relationship pole for sure, until we get to know him after that first encounter with Rainey.
Rainey totally didn’t stand a chance, and had no idea what she was getting when she happened to cover the ER shift the night Brody came bursting into her life. Brody may spin the hilarious encounter and tempt the idea of trying to get Rainey to go out with him. She declines of course… There is a hint of mystery behind why, and the story unfolds from there into a sweet, fun, and hilarious love story. I can’t bear to share much more without fear that I would ruin the joy of the story. Set aside an afternoon to devour Rainey and Brody’s love story for yourself! I promise that you won’t regret it. While you are at it get a glimpse of these two before they meet in the first book, Deal Makers, in the Dealing with Love series. Not necessary to enjoy this one, but definitely a necessity to enjoy!

This is the first book I have read from this author and she blew me away. I love a good friends to lovers story but this book exceeded all my expectations. This is the second book of the Dealing with Love series. This book can be read as a stand alone but there are prior characters in this story as well. I was hooked on these characters right from the start. I was so interested in what would happen to these characters I read this book in only one day.
Brody is always getting into trouble. One night he finds himself in the emergency room. He is there for a crazy circumstance. He gets a room and he is very nervous. Brody is in shocked when he sees his nurse. She is a gorgeous redhead. He is a ladies man but Rainey ignores him. Brody is released and life brings them back together again. They share the same friends. Rainey doesn’t want nothing to do with him but when she finds herself heartbroken Brody is there to help. They can’t take the attraction anymore but they don’t want to hurt each other. Rainey makes a deal with Brody but will they be able to keep it?
I absolutely loved this book. The storyline has it all romance, humor, and trust. You will fall in love with these characters right from the beginning. Is it possible to hate both characters? Yes...yes it is. Brody was a manwhore who acted like a frat boy and Rainey was a coward and a b**** during most of the book. I kept waiting for the both of them to just grow up and by the end, I still wasn't on Team Brainey.
I'll give Brody credit for being the first to fall in love. He says he loved her early on before they even started hooking up, yet the author is clear that he still sleeps with other women the whole time he's waiting for Rainey to wise up to a relationship with him. Can I blame him for that? I guess not, but it still irked me that the author felt the need to continue telling us in detail about his escapades. And then it happens again when they're broken up. He doesn't sleep with the girl, but he did enough for me to want to just be done with this trainwreck.
Rainey was hurt by every guy she was ever serious with - they all cheated. So I get that she's jaded and a bit hesitant to start something serious with Brody. But she was always trying to manipulate him and avoid his serious conversations he wanted to have. She was a coward and took the easy way out by pushing him away in a hurtful way. It was just too much and I really hated how she treated him through most of the book. She made assumptions and hurt a guy who was really trying to change.
In the end, they get their HFN which I assume will become a HEA where they'll get married and have lots of babies. Unfortunately, I won't continue with this series to find out. This was a new to me author and maybe some of her other books are better, but this was not the book for me to dip my toe into the water with for this author.

This book! Laura managed to nail the male POV in the novel perfectly, I loved everything about Brody after meeting him and Rainey in the previous book Deal Takers there was a clue they at least have a casual hook when Devyn catches them getting up close and personal in her kitchen one morning, but their story goes beyond that. So Deal Takers is set in the 5 year gap we have in Deal Takers (Book 1) before it catches up to present time. The opening chapters set the tone for the book perfectly and had me giggling over Brody's antics from the start.
Brody is a typical manwhore and the things that come out of his mouth is pure brilliance, team that with how he meets Rainey and you know this is going to be good. Don't get me wrong this book isn't all happy rainbows. Rainey goes through some serious lows with her relationships and ends up leaning on Brody more and more to help her deal with the shockers life throws at her. Over time their friendship blossoms and they agree to a friends with benefit relationship. Of course this doesn't go exactly to plan either and there comes the heartbreak, and by this point you are so invested in Brody and Rainy that it really hurts and I wanted to slap Rainey for her behaviour.
Needless to say it all works out in the end of course, and we get to see more of Devyn, Riley, Drew (I need his story now!) and Nathan, that cute potty mouthed kid still cracks me up! A book I won't fail to recommend to anyone looking for something that has a good balance of humour, romance, steam and heartache.

As a first impression this is a doozy! Brody Harris first meets Rainey O’Neil in the ER. He thinks it’s a prime opportunity for him to ask her out. Rainey pegs him for a player (you’ll laugh when you read why), and turns him down. Thus begins the start of their journey, and, boy, what a trip! Brody thinks there’s nothing sexier than a pissed off Rainey, and he loves to see Rainey at her sexiest. Although he’s made it his mission to get under her skin, he’d really like to get her under the covers – permanently. Rainey can’t take Brody seriously; she believes he’s not a long-term commitment type of guy. They do have chemistry though, and after a few years of letting it simmer, when it finally boils over, well, you’re just going to have to read it to find out. If you like roller coasters, you’re going to love this ride. Even if you don’t, you will love this one!
This is a delightful, engaging romance with its ups and downs. The storyline is fast paced and appealing. The characters are well written, strong, and interesting, and the passion is HOT. Brody, and aerospace engineer, meets Rainey, a nurse, when he decides to go into the emergency room after taking a viagra pill. LOL. There is an instant chemistry between them but Rainey does not want to get involved with him because she is engaged to a doctor. However, Rainey turns out to be the best friend of Brody's friends sister so it's basically impossible for them to avoid each other. After a few years, Brody continues to pursue Rainey but she tries to avoid him because she is still engaged. That is until, one night Rainey's fiance leaves her hanging at a restaurant and Brody turns out to be there so they go to the place where Brody's sister is a chef and SURPRISE, SURPRISE! Rainey finds out that her fiance of years has been lying to her all this time . Devastated, she heads back to her apartment and Brody follows her to make sure that she doesn't do anything crazy. From there on, Rainey propositions to Brody to start a no strings attached relationship. However, once Brody and Rainey start to have feelings for each other, Rainey starts to get scared so she breaks it off with Brody. Brody is left really heartbroken and tries to avoid her whenever he can. Will Rainey be able to realize that she also loves Brody? Or will it be too late??

5 “Thor” Stars
This is my first book by Laura Lee and the second book in this series. I enjoyed it so much that I #oneclicked book one, Deal Breakers, halfway through reading this one. I haven’t laughed this much with a story in I don’t know when, but I am totally in love with the man-child that is Brody Harris. I mean the man named his penis after Thor’s hammer lol!
Meeting in the most unconventional of ways, Brody is in instant lust with nurse Rainey. So much so he doesn’t even regret meeting they way they do. When he realizes they have mutual friends in common, it’s game on for Brody. His banter, flirtiness, and innuendo are just the right amount to not be over-the-top and even though Rainey tries to be annoyed, she just can’t help but laugh at him. I have to give the man kudos. He pursued this woman for four long years. Trying to penetrate (hehe) her walls after the hell she’s been through and prove to her that he does want a serious relationship and not just a long line of hook-ups. But, when Rainey suggests a friends with benefits relationship, he jumps at the chance to finally get a taste of her. These two have always had major chemistry, but when they finally do the deed let me just say these two together are like a match to gasoline...EXPLOSIVE! Falling in love with Brody was not something Rainey intended to do. Her heart, the traitor, was not supposed to become involved. Gina, (yes she named her vag), was supposed to be the only one all in.
I absolutely adored Brody and Rainey’s story and I seriously haven’t laughed out loud like that with a book in a long time. Laura Lee has definitely gained a new fan and I can’t wait to dive into book one and catch up with Riley and Devyn and especially book three for Drew!

Now, you absolutely can read this one as a stand alone. Rainey and Brody’s story is almost completely separate from the original book Deal Breakers. Just some reoccuring characters over all.
Lee really made me laugh with this book. Brody’s constant chase of Rainey was absolutely as hilarious as it was perfectly romantic. His pursuit made you fall in love with this 13 year old childish man. He was both funny, sweet, charming and thoughtful. Rainey was also a character that you wanted to root for as well as shake some sense into her brain. These two characters together made for one of the best books to one click this summer.
Lee not only had me chomping at the bit for more Rainey and Brody, but now has dangled Drew in front of my eyes making me wonder what’s next for this series. Will he fall for a certain chef?
