- Reviewed in Australia on 15 March 2019Verified PurchaseI was throughly entertained by Surprise, Baby! I turned pages quickly as I was swept up by Drew and Kendall's story. It warmed my heart, brought a smile to my face and steamed up my kindle, in just the right amount.
I read this book without reading the previous book in the series and felt this had no impact on my reading experience.
I fell hard quickly for Drew and thought he was such a sweetie, I was team Drew all the way and my heart hurt when I saw the miscommunications and incorrect assumptions being made.
It's frustrating to watch it play out, knowing both sides of the story and thinking if only they knew the truth of what the other was feeling. But true to life, we never really know what another person is feeling or thinking. If we don't talk, our minds can run away with our assumptions or misunderstood signals, which can create drama that really isn't there. A great lesson for all of us to be open, honest and to communicate.
- Reviewed in Australia on 20 March 2019Verified PurchaseLove & hate are such strong emotions. But when hate turns to love it can be explosive.
Their best friends are married, he has always been the "screw up", she was considered to be "stuck up"
But being stranded together shows them both a different side of each other.
Their chemistry sizzles even though her brain tells he it shouldn't.

Highly recommend
- Reviewed in Australia on 19 March 2019Verified PurchaseWow i really enjoyed this book it was so funny . It gave me the feels and i couldn't put it down. When you were once a screw up in every sense of the word how do you prove to people your a changed man especially proving it to the one woman he has secretly been in love with for years.
It took a mountain a wrong address and a snow storm. Loved this book.
- Reviewed in Australia on 8 October 2021Verified PurchaseHonestly what can I say that hasn't already been said!
Drew and Kendall took me on an emotional rollercoaster and I didn't want it to stop.
Amazing enemies to lovers with so much wit & banter. It was such a fun read with holy hotness!
- Reviewed in Australia on 22 August 2019Verified PurchaseHot, angsty, great story! Great HEA!
- Reviewed in Australia on 14 March 2019WOW!! This book was so amazing!! I loved it so much!!!! I loved the story of Drew and Kendall!!!
Kendall runs into Dermeritt in the hall at the hotel when she's running from the guy she just left asleep in the bed, sneaking out!! Drew is not nice to KK when they first met, and she doesn't expect for anything to be changed about him and his lifestyle.
After their besties wedding, Josh and Evie, Kendall didn't think she'd ever see Drew again, but boy was she wrong. They were were all going to meet up at Josh's cabin on Mount Hood, but Drew accidentally took them to the wrong cabin! Snowed in, no power, and no cell service, they made the most of their time.
KK sees that Demeritt isn't the same guy she knew a year ago. She FINALLY finds out what has happened for him to change his behaviour. The end up hitting it off, and hooking up, more than 4 times. LOL!!
One thing leads to another, and they end up arrested!!! Kendall is beside herself with what is going on, and thinking Drew hasn't changed after all, after all that they went through on the mountain.
Once it's all said and done, BAM!! A huge surprise for KK, and she has to reach out to Drew, but her phone is all broken, and she's didn't use the cloud. *tsk tsk*, and has lost all contacts. FINALLY she runs into Drew again, and she shares the info with him.
Drew has changed so much, and but then again, with Lex and Leslie's writing is amazing, so all the twists and turns keep coming!!!
Can KK trust Demeritt again?
How are they going to handle being parents?
Thank goodness Kendall had Evie there for support.
I can't wait to read more!
- Reviewed in Australia on 13 March 2019This. Book. Is. Amazing! An enemies-to-lovers rom-com that will leave you laughing and swooning at the same time. Kendall Greer and Drew Merritt are part of each other’s lives, whether they like it or not, because their best friends are married. When said best friends Josh and Evie invite them both to their newly built cabin for Thanksgiving, Drew offers to pick Kendall up on the way. When they arrive at the cabin, they find it odd that nobody else is there and there’s no electricity, but then they get snowed in and are forced to get to know each other…
Which leads them to finding out they really like each other. And then they suddenly end up naked together, and before they know it they’ve been holed up for four days having the hottest sex known to man. But their little sojourn is put to an abrupt end and they’re separated, each of them thinking the other has abandoned them and walked away.
Kendall thinks she’ll just leave it there and move on… only to find that idea out the window when she discovers she’s pregnant, and Drew is the father. Kendall isn’t sure she can trust him, even though she saw a wonderful side to him when they were stranded together, because he’s known for his drunken antics and playboy ways. But Drew has changed after a serious health scare, and when he finds out about the baby he’s determined to prove he can be a great father, despite the relationship he has with his own parents.
Will Kendall and Drew realise they’re in love and want to be together, despite the baby? Will Drew step up to the plate and be the partner Kendall needs to get through the pregnancy? Will Kendall let him in? With great supporting characters (Drew’s grandmother, Bee, is a hoot) and a pair of protagonists you’ll love and cheer for, this book has everything you need. Don’t miss it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Way better than I expected
Verified PurchaseI‘m not a fan of the surprise baby storyline. However, I am a huge fan of Lex‘s writing and loved All About The D, and really enjoyed Kendall in that story. Drew, well, he was Drew 1.0.
I went into this thinking that I may not like the overall plot, but that I‘d probably, hopefully love what Lex Martin and Leslie McAdam made out of it.
And that’s exactly what I got out of it. Lex and Leslie are hilarious, creatively dirty and a pretty damn awesome combination. I really enjoyed everything that wasn’t part of the typical surprise baby trope, wasn’t too annoyed by these bits and am really excited to see what this duo will bring next.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious, witty and well written this book is a wildly awesome ride!
Verified PurchaseThis is the best accidental pregnancy book I’ve read in a long long time. It’s witty, well paced with excellent and well written characters and a modern, easy to relate to narrative.
The sexy elements are beautifully balanced with relatable, real world problems, great characters that are fleshed out well and each chapter is loaded with excellent wit. Drew is an incredible Hero and will be a favourite for a long time!
5 Stars! Excellent writing will have me buying more!

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun and good read
Verified PurchaseI really enjoyed this one. I liked both of the characters, felt that they were both likeable and relatable. Their banter was fun and their chemistry was off the charts. I loved that they balanced and bettered each other. I loved their story but felt some aspects were overhyped and underdeveloped, i.e. his relationship with his parents, her issues with her ex. Both were mentioned frequently (1 being a huge issue) but felt like the backstory about them were glossed over and weren't developed enough for how often they were mentioned in the story. There is a couple month time jump that irked me - it was used to foster an ongoing issue with them that was resolved in an instant once they talked. I didn't like the time jump without seeing the issues unfold and play out, I would have really loved to have seen all that angst. Even thought I felt everything was resolved a bit too easily, I still really enjoyed this one.
