I had been missing me Liz Meldon's kind of kink.
Belle is an escort and is branching out into the sub world. Her first real go at it will be a two month 'vacation' with Dean on his private island for $250K. She is both excited and scared to explore that side of herself. But she is scared she will break the #1 rule: never fall in love with a client. After the past months getting to know Dean and working on their contract, she has come to care for him already and that's without the sex and emotional/powerful relationship between a dom and a sub. She can't wait to have him as her Dom though.
Once they get to the island it's all fun and games until Belle starts breaking rules. First it's one she can work on with his help and then it's one that can break everything they have worked on.
Dean is a billionaire who is in desperate need of a break from his chaotic and stressful life, dealing with his d*ck brother's mistakes both in the workplace and his personal life. Dean has his demons and when Belle breaks an important house rule, she brings back old and painful memories that Dean reacts to without thinking and that just might cause him his sub. But their bond is more powerful than they both realize and they work through every problem and obstacle they come across.
Watching these together in all the sweet moments, protecting each other, supporting each other, loving each other was amazing. And the kink got way more intense. Belle really flourished under Dean's hands.
These two needed each other in their lives to be their true selves and they were finally able to figure out what they needed out of life together. I loved watching their journey and watching them overcome their past, their fears, watching them become the person they were meant to be, and specially doing it together. Their relationship was much more than the kink, and I loved that.
Belle was actually a very sweet story, way beyond the Dom/Sub relationship. It's a story about allowing yourself to be true to who you really are, about knowing your worth and knowing when it's time to let go of things and people...and most of all a story about finding the right person for you, the one who helps you see life in a new light, who allows you to be yourself and loves you for everything that you are, good and bad.
Liz killed it once again. I love how she writes her kink but never forgets her romance. For me it's the perfect combo in a book like this. I truly enjoyed Belle and Dean so much and I cannot wait for Penny and Felix's duet.

Belle Part 1:
An amazing book. It took me by surprise that the book basically was about a Dom, Dean, and his submissive, Belle, learning to trust each other. Dean is a successful business person worth billions. However, he has a deep need to be in control, to dominate. He is known in the BDSM community as an excellent Dom. He hires Belle to be his submissive for two months on his exclusive island retreat. No outside world to interfere, no staff around daily and he would do all the cooking. Belle has been working at Elysium, a BDSM club in NYC for about a year. She initially started out acting out with clients that had a foot fetish. Out of curiosity started to act out BDSM scenes with her mentor and best friend Penny. Penny was a Domme and was training Belle in stage acting of a Dom and Sub. Belle had never had a private Dom until Dean requested, insisted on having her. Belle agreed to go with him for two months to his gorgeous island to be his sub for an extraordinary amount of money. Dean and Belle had no idea what would happen between them would change their lives forever. An excellent read on building true trust in a Dom/sub relationship. I look forward to part two. This is Belle and Dean's part two and I loved reading it. It was nice to read how Belle slowly stepped out of her carefully crafted submission mode to embrace a little bit of boldness and brash. Good thing Dean loved it when he said "my kitten has claws". Their relationship in part two went to the next level of intimacy. Dean was falling in love with Belle and she with him. The lines between being lovers and being Dom/sub were becoming blurred. Belle's relationship with Dean was more comfortable and she was able to speak freely to Dean. Dean also shared his carefully guarded secret of his art with her. He also confided to her about his struggles with his brother Richard and his father. It was amazing as Dean and Belle became more and more comfortable around each other. Part two really delved deep into what Dean liked to do with and to Belle. Belle also discovered more of her limits to Dean's delight. The two of them were able to find harmony in their relationship that covered their kink and nonkink time. I really enjoyed learning about their Dom/sub relationship that grew into more. I was so glad about the ending. It was truly a happily ever after. Belle is the story of Belle and Dean. Belle works in Elysium, a fetish club where people can live their wildest fantasies in a judgment-free zone. When she started dabbling in the Dom-sub scene, she caught Dean’s eye and he requested her to be his sub for 2 interrupted months in his private island in the Caribean Sea… with certain rules stipulated by their lawyers and the owner of the club to maximize their time together and her safety. She had 6 months to prepare for her trip with several coffee dates with her Dominant so they could know each other. She is utterly afraid about this trip, being isolated from the rest of the world at his mercy when she doesn’t even know if she can be a good submissive and to top it all, she doesn’t know how to feel about this new dynamic.
I really liked the story, it was well written and it was nice to read both POV’s, you get to know how are they feeling with their relationship and their dynamic as a Dom-sub. I also enjoyed the steamy scenes, I’m fairly new to BDSM scenario and I really appreciated the way is portraited. I liked that the chapters tell you on which day are they, so you get an idea of the timeline. I ADORE Dean, he is a true alpha man and so endearing. The first month set the pace and bases for their feelings and dynamics, the conflict at the middle felt a little bit forced to me, but it made so much sense afterward. During their second month, we got to see a sure Belle, she now knows what she feels and has decided that she will enjoy everything that Dean can give her, she stopped being just his submissive and has become his entirely. Dean, on the other hand, was getting more and more enamored of her on each passing day, the more she becomes herself to him, the more in love he becomes of her. Steamy, Sexy, Passionate ... PERFECT
This is the first book that I have read by Liz Meldon ... what an introduction!!! This is a kinky, sexy romance involving an escort and the man who hires her for a period of two months. Two months alone together on his island paradise ... what more could a girl ask for? Everything is not as it seems though, this is a romance story, a slow burn one, that had me fully embracing and loving both Belle and Dean.
Told from both POVs, Liz Meldon allows the readers to really get into the thoughts and emotions of her characters. Dean Donahue is a wealthy man, yet his wealth has not brought him happiness, so he hires Belle to be his exclusive submissive on his private island for two months. Belle is new to the BDSM scene, so Dean must teach her how a Dom/sub relationship properly works.
This book is so much more than just the kink and the hot steamy moments. It is also about mutual trust, understanding, respect and friendship. Dean and Belle's relationship may be a complex one, but so too are they as individuals. Dean must contend with his own emotions when it comes to his family and how he is constantly treated by them. Belle is fighting her own battle ... is she a good enough submissive, can she truly fit into this new world? As the book progresses the status of their relationship alters ... but are they willing to let each other know their thoughts and change the status quo?
A brilliant story. Beautifully written, with wonderful insights into a Dom/sub relationship and the dynamics involved. Yes, some of the scenes were extremely intense, but they truly added to the trust storyline between a Dom and his sub. I loved this couple and the ending they were given was simply perfect.
I'm really looking forward to reading Penny next, a story based on Penny and Felix, two characters introduced in BELLE.
I thoroughly enjoyed BELLE and highly recommend it to lovers of the Dom/sub relationship.

Belle is my first read from new-to-me author Liz Meldon, and it also happens to be the first book in her Unbowed series. As I understand it, this was originally released as a duet a year and a half ago, but since I never read the story till now, I have no idea if there were any changes made. So, this review focuses on this new release alone, and it was certainly one heck of an introduction, both to Meldon's writing and to this enticing story she's created.
Belle Bennet is an escort eager to explore her submissive nature, and Dean Donahue is a billionaire and a Dominant bent on putting this new sub through her paces. Two months on one private island with one sub-in-training and her Dom. Except Dean all of this is temporary and by the end of their time together, Belle can't really call Dean "her" Dom. They both have their sets of rules in this paid-for arrangement. It was never meant for more.
This series starter was a slow burn erotic romance, with a heavy dose of eroticism balanced out with some sweet romance. Belle and Dean may have gone into their agreement with lines drawn and and rules in place, but these two pushed beyond those well-intentions and broke some rules, and in the end, they and their relationship they didn't know they were building were all the better for it. Belle had kink, but it also had romance. It gets four stars. ♥

This was my frist book from this author and ohhhh what a book it was. Belle is a fetish escort new to the game when she catches the eye of Billionaire Dean. Dean makes her an offer she would be craxy to turn down. 2 months on a private island being his sub 24 hrs 6 days a week for more money than anyone her age would make in a year. They meet every week for coffee for 6 months getting comfortable with eachother which helpa Belle feel better going in to this. She afraid to screw up or worse fall for him. With every detail mapped out before she knows everything going in but you cant plan everything. ... This is lously based on beauty and the beast with the forbidden rooms but this author made it completely her own... The end gutted me !
I couldn't wait to get back into Dean and Belle story after the ending in part one. Without giving anything away I will say I was amazed on how they came together and forged an even stronger bond but this was definitely not the end if there bumby road thered definitely be more thing theyd need to takle. I love Liz Meldon work and I decided to give a try to this despite the warnings of intense scenes. You should really head the warnings. It was much more intense than what I expected and even if I admit I was tempted to skip some passage, the way the book is written kept me in. I wanted to know how the characters were going to resolve their “there is an elephant in the room but let’s not discuss that right away”. Both characters have their own past, their prejudices and their dreams and when you read the first book of the Unbowed series you think about how different people can be and how they still fit with each other. Sometimes smoothly, sometimes with a bit of dexterity and patience. You think about what secrets burden people can carry and how other might exploit that. You ponder the worth of the relationship you always had with the ones who help you thrives to become what you always wanted to be, what you were meant to be, free for yourselves.

January 31, 2020This was a perfect combination of sex, BDSM and sweet all together. I really, really enjoyed Belle and Dean's story, how it evolved and how they melded together.
I am a huge fan of reading books about escorts whether it be a female or male being the escort but it never fails wherein the escort falls in love with one of their clients.
To have to sit here and read this delicious book about a woman who finds herself in the escort world who gets a job for two months in an isolated island with a handsome billionaire who teaches her everything there is to know about being in a dom/sub relationship.
I loved how Belle was so flexible, she was caring and she was up for the challenge. She never said no, and was always eager to please her dom. She wanted nothing more than please him because she knew she was crossing the line, she knew she wasn't supposed to fall in love with her client but when you spend two months with just that person it is hard to not fall in love with him/her, especially if they are treating you like you're royalty.
This is my first Liz Meldon book and now I want to read more of her because this book was sensual, it was sexy and all kinds of HOT! I really liked her writing style and I know that if I really enjoyed this book, I will also enjoy whatever else she has out there as well.

I am a huge fan of reading books about escorts whether it be a female or male being the escort but it never fails wherein the escort falls in love with one of their clients.
To have to sit here and read this delicious book about a woman who finds herself in the escort world who gets a job for two months in an isolated island with a handsome billionaire who teaches her everything there is to know about being in a dom/sub relationship.
I loved how Belle was so flexible, she was caring and she was up for the challenge. She never said no, and was always eager to please her dom. She wanted nothing more than please him because she knew she was crossing the line, she knew she wasn't supposed to fall in love with her client but when you spend two months with just that person it is hard to not fall in love with him/her, especially if they are treating you like you're royalty.

This is the first book in a new series by Liz. Belle works as a professional Sub. She is doing something different though. She has been hired by a Dom to be a submissive on a private island for 2 months. She isn’t just going off with him. Things have been carefully gone over and a team of lawyer and her boss were involved. Dean knew he wanted Belle from the moment he saw her. This is going to be interesting for Belle. She has trouble separating her job from her feelings for Dean. It doesn’t take long for her to wish he was really her Dom and this wasn’t just a job. Belle helps Dean in ways she doesn’t even realize. Dean is going through something with his work and family. He helps her as well. She is learning that it is okay to feel the things she does and that it is okay to like them. It doesn’t mean there is something wrong with her or anything. I really enjoyed this read. Belle and Dean are great characters. This is one hot and steamy read. I really liked all the characters in this book. I will say this book is a slow build. Like extremely slow. Part of that I think is because it is a job. Both want this to be more but worry if the other wants it. Plus, there is a setback in the story line. This is one of my favorite genres. I look forward to reading more books in this series. Great job Liz.

I loved this sexy story! The writing is great, vivid, and clear. It’s a dual POV, which I think helped me develop a deeper connection to each character. Since the arrangement had a timeline I was happy to have the dates at the top of each chapter to keep it all in order.
Dean and Belle have amazing chemistry and from the moment they’re together I could feel it. She’s dabbled a little in his lifestyle in on stage scenes, which piqued her interest. So when he offered there’s no way she could turn him down. Their arrangement is carefully planned out and in writing, so she knows what she’s walking into, kind of.
Dean is so loving, caring, patient but, strict and demanding. He has some very painful memories and I’m glad he opened up to her. I do wish he would’ve done it earlier. As they get closer the pull gets stronger and my need for it to continue grew stronger as well.
I’m looking forward to catching up with Belle and Dean in Penny. Penny and Felix’s story should be really good; I can’t wait.

A steamy romance with some yummy kink! Once again this author has given us a couple that defies expectations. Belle, as a newbie to the BDSM scene, on her first extended overnight as a sub is a fantastic character. She's such a sweet young thing you can't help but fall in love with her. And her Dom Dean is a delicious, divine stud with so many layers but mostly he's just hot...all the time! He's marvelous with Belle and her inexperience. I loved his fantasies as they played out between these two. It's all fairly light going between the Dom/sub until the end when the drama and its aftermath cause problems in their relationship. There's a bit of mystery surrounding Dean that I guess will be revealed in the next part. But the burning question is how will these two avoid falling in love? After all it's a business affair. An easy read with wonderful writing in what I would say is a BDSM lite story. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.

It seemed as if it was everything I wanted wrapped up and tied with a very pretty bow. I wanted this book like I wanted air to breathe or water to drink. I was that excited. But reading it, made me even more excited. I loved the relationship. I loved how the heroine was willing to try something out her comfort zone. How she was able to grow and become comfortable in the person she was becoming. The hero on the other hand just the way he is described is my next book boyfriend. That's right ladies. In this first Unbowed story, Liz Meldon takes a story that's been done and done again, and she manages to make it feel fresh and new. Think Pretty Woman meets Beauty and the Beast with lots of kinky fun. A paid escort, a wealthy and lonely man who is happiest on his private island, and a contract laying everything out in a neat little package. Everything except love and finding that one that completes you. Of course, things get a bit messy, but I loved every single minute of Belle and Dean's love story as they throw the rules out the window and build something more than either of them anticipated. To sum it up, Belle is a wonderfully written story of lust, learning to trust, love, and hope. Add in some scorching hot steamy goodness, a bit of kink, the author's wit and style, and this one's a must read.

Oh. My. Good. Lord. I’m not personally into BDSM but ... wow is Liz Meldon’s Belle ever so astoundingly, deliciously, wonderfully, hot. Addictive too, so it’s super nice having Part 1 and Part 2 of Belle of the Unbowed series in one convenient package. There’s just no way (nope, not at all) that I could have paused at the end of Part 1. It’s past 3am here. I’m going to pay for this tomorrow but I don’t care. Belle was just that good and sooo worth it. Yes, it’s a great explanation of how I imagine a good BDSM relationship should work, with mutual respect and trust, and lots of what’s ultimately truly consensual enjoyment. But this book goes so much beyond the dom/sub relationship with a plot and characters that are genuine and complex but also lots of fun. It does not matter what your own orientation is, if you want a great story this book is for you (though, trust me, you’ll be panting too as it is yummy hot). But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises - these two books definitely deserve it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the Belle (Unbowed Novels, Book 1) is most definitely “one to read”, and it is easy to highly recommend the combined work. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book launch in the Unbowed series.

Inspired by one of my favorites, Beauty and the Beast, this takes on a sexy twist. Although its a story we all know and love, this book definitely goes on a kinky adventure that does not disappoint. I love sexy books that still have a story that brings on all the emotions for me like Belle and Dean's story. I experienced some nerves of excitement, moments of sadness, and even more of love. Definitely looking forward to more. This is definitely a must read for all Beauty and the Beast fans looking for something a little naughtier.

This story was intense. There were moments of tears, moments of giggles and smiles, and lots of steamy scenes. I was drawn to the dynamic of Belle and Dean, their pasts, and how they fit together. They were perfect for each other from the start. Dean was so caring, and Belle was very willing to push her boundaries to find her true self. I loved them! As a note, the BDSM in this story is quite prevalent so beware if this is not your thing.

I LOVED that even though I was on the edge of my seat expecting the conflicts, when they happened they weren't as bad as I was expecting. It was so REFRESHING to be able to enjoy the story and the characters without there being a big fallout like I expected. And the fact that I was still on the edge of my seat was the real masterpiece. So thank you, Liz Meldon. Now I want to read everything else you've written, and I can't WAIT for the next story in this series!!!

Big angsty emotions are my Kryptonite. No wait, that should read catnip. Either way, I love getting lost in books filled with them. And that’s exactly what Belle and Dean’s is. I want to call it a “sweeping romance”, because I was so caught up in their story. I loved learning about Dean’s past, tragic as it was. And I absolutely adored seeing Belle step fully into her power to support him. I kind of hate that it’s over already. I don’t want to let these characters go.

Liz Meldon is a new to me author and holy crap was that a great, intense read! I read the synopsis, but was unprepared for how truly HAWT this book was. If you like kink and hot sex all wrapped around a love story then this is the book for you. It was refreshing to watch both Dean and Belle emerge from under thier own pressures to become a couple forged in honesty and ultimate trust.

This is a new author for me, and I fell in love! I could not put this book down and thought about it all day at work. It consumed me, as Belle consumed her sir. If you think you’ve read this trope before, think again. If you think you know the story, you’re wrong. I was so pleasantly surprised at the depth and emotion between Dean and Belle. I loved every word!

3.5-4 stars. This is my first book by this author. The heroine was sweet and caring. I loved the descriptions of the islands. Some really good parts were left out. They faded to black. I was disappointed. I liked many parts of this book and just couldn’t get past the feeling that this is a how to be a good doms guide for beginners.

The Belle of BDSM
This story of Belle & Dean was pretty great! I liked their dynamic! I thought him a good Dom but with a bit of a issue. Couldn’t put it down after I started it!!
