    Well i thought i loved Ryder and Lexie story but nope Remmy and Stella story has totally swooned my heart.

    From the moment Remmy and Stella met on the yacht there was sparks flying.

    Stella was getting over her divorce and her friends took her on a holiday away when she met Remmy as he worked on the Yacht.

    Remmy saved Stella from going over board even though it was his fault she went over as she was all heart eyes for him.

    They lost contact when she left her holiday and was sad for a long time.

    One day he turned up at her house to evacuate her and there love blossumed.

    You must read this book its amazing.

    This book is wonderful. So real. Characters are not flowless, they do mistakes, they have misunderstanding, heavy pasts, life baggage. I love how the story is flowing, so naturally. Can’t wait to find theirs happy ending, becuase there need to be happy ending.

    I met Alex & Luke (& young Mason) in Affinity, which comes after this duet. I may need to do a re-read of that later, too. :D

    Anyway, Luke is swoony Swedish goodness. I highly recommend everyone should have a Luke. I would like a Luke. Alex is pretty cool, too, but she has some major emotional hurdles to overcome. I like that she is TRYING. She & Luke are very open with communication, which is great, even though sometimes I don't like the direction their conversations go. I feel like they still manage to have missteps even while being open.

    There's a lot of steam, heart, and banter, which I enjoy! Now, on to the 2nd part of the duet.

    (Book 1 does end on a cliffhanger, but the version I have has both stories in the duet in one book, so it wasn't a shock to me. It looks like the file has been merged into one book going forward, which is good!)

    Hollywood Fairytale (part 2)

    Part 2 of Alex & Luke's story. First of all, I'm glad this was all in one book / file for me because I didn't realize it was a duet. It starts off right where part 1 left off, as just a normal chapter break.

    I also felt like it needed some additional editing. Not only missing/extra words & the normal line editing, but story-wise, there are some disjointed or repetitive themes that could have used a little clean up. Essentially, it just felt a bit dragged out at times and other times I felt like I was missing important information.

    However, I did really enjoy the characters & story. Luke is seriously a swoony Hero & I give kudos to the author for the way he & Alex communicate. There are some misunderstandings, but they're resolved quickly and felt "real." They weren't trying to break up at every turn & they were both very open about being IN the relationship, which means working on things & not giving up. LOVE that!!

    There are some really sweet scenes w/ Leo (Luke's brother), a bit of suspense w/ a stalker angle, some super fun LOL moments, steam (of course!), and the overall sense I'm left with at the end of the story is happiness & a smile. Thumbs up there!!

    I'll caveat this by saying I read book 3 in the Fairlane series first and some reviews / websites have different versions of Alex & Lukes' story; a duet, a boxset of 0.5,1&2 in the series and then this title. Which for me was the complete story from first meeting until the end ready for the next couple but others seem to only have a prequel.
    I'm glad I got the whole thing as it was needed to see them through but I did find some points dragged a little.
    There are a lot of people and at points it's hard to keep track, I'm still not sure if there was a Gabi & a Gina or if that was editing errors.
    They spend a lot of time apart and I don't necessarily think we saw the best of them when they were together due to side characters. I preferred seeing them together as a couple in book 3 to here in their own story.

    Alex is a single mom trying to erase the damage a horrible marriage did to her self esteem. A night out led to a friendship with a Hollywood power couple. While visiting LA, she meets Luke an up and coming actor. Their attraction is immediate and with every phone call and email, the connection between them deepens. Will a normal girl and a hot actor be able to make a long distance relationship work?

    I gotta say that new authors these days are my kryptonite. I have to give them a shot and it has a ninety-eight percent success rate. Hollywood Redemption was a book I couldn't resist just from the blurb. Who doesn't want to fantasize about a Hollywood hottie falling for a regular girl? I really enjoyed the deep dive into the relationship that develops between Alex and Luke. I loved watching Alex grow and become more confident. I do have to mention that there were some editing mistakes like using Alex's friend Ryan's name in place of Luke's which confused me several times. There were also some conversations about Alex's ex husband that alluded to other conversations that you were not privy to. This made it feel like I was missing parts of the book. I wouldn't normally mention these things if I have an advanced readers copy but I purchased this copy on release day and it did affect my rating. Also I must warn you there is a bit of a cliffhanger at the end but will continue in Hollywood Fairytale which is due out soon. Even though I had to bump my rating down, I will look forward to more from Harlow Layne in the future. 3 and 1/2 stars for Hollywood Redemption.
