This review is for Layla’s Chance part of the Reckless Anthology
For a novella, this had so much feeling and depth. Add in plenty of sexy times, a hero and heroine that are well developed, and you’ve got the makings for an amazing read.
I loved reading about Layla and Chance. While their relationship starts off fast and their time together is limited, this wasn’t really an over the top insta-love romance. It’s more like an insta-let’s-see-where-this-thing-goes thing. That in itself was refreshing.
Layla’s character was deeper and heavier than that of Chance. Then again, we are only given her point of view up until the very end. I think that helped to fully develop this story as it was focused on what was going on with them and how she was reacting to it. I really liked her and the way she handled her issues. This isn’t a fairytale where everything just automatically falls into perfect glittering place. There were hard choices that had to be made and I respected her for the struggle she experienced making them.
As stated, we don’t have Chance’s view point so it was harder to get a full picture of where he was emotionally. However, he was pretty straight forward about what he wanted, what he felt, and what he could and could not do. Despite his rock star status he was not a player by any means. He pulled me in with his easy way and his fierce desire for Layla as well as his decision to allow Layla to make the ultimate decision without pressuring her.
This older woman/younger man story was fast paced with the feel of a fuller story due to the beautiful prose layered throughout. Secondary characters are minimal due to the length, but we do get a bit of a peek at a couple of our favorites from previous books. Overall, this was a really good read and a great choice if you’re looking for something between lengthier reads.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Heroine POV with Epilogue in Hero’s POV Safe Trigger
It is rare to read an anthology where every story is captivating and exciting. This book includes four complete, never before published, stories. They are all well written and kept me captivated. Layla’s Chance (Mika Jolie)—this is another great read by this author set in Martha’s Vineyard. When lawyer Layla is professionally devastated on her birthday, she escapes to the Vineyard to lick her wounds. Little does she know that a chance meeting with a much younger Chance will turn her life upside down.
Dirty Martinis (P.M. Carson)—Rachel and Drew meet via a dating site. After months of texting and skyping they finally meet in person and it is explosive. Their quick meeting turns into a longer “date” that leave them both reeling from the quickness of the connection. Their two separate worlds collide, but they have become so entwined in their personas that they weather the storm. This was wonderful HEA.
Into The Deep (Kylie Stewart)–This story started with a twist on the “left at the altar” theme, but definitely did not disappoint. This was my first experience with this author and I look forward to reading more of their work.
The Spy Who Kissed Me (Sharla Lovelace) was another stressed out lawyer story, but much different than the first story in this anthology. This story was a complicated weave of espionage, but not so much that it overshadowed the budding romance between the characters, or her angst at her life. This was also my first experience with this author and I also look forward to reading their work again.
I read Layla's Chance by Mika Jolie and loved it. It was a hot as hell read, but deep and emotional at the same time. Layla meets the much younger Chance and forgets to be the good girl who doesn't break any rules, and how could you not fall for Chance Santos, holy hotness!
This novella was exactly what I needed, the perfect romance to heat you up and warm you heart and soul!
RECKLESS: ANTHOLOGY featured four amazing stories. Four different troupe, with some strong badass women, making life changing decisions and equally strong and charming men, who fell in love with them. The stories were fresh and intriguing, with maximum amount of heat. I highly recommend this book. I guarantee you, you will love it!
LAYAL’S CHANCE by Mika Jolie, was magnificent!! LOVED IT!! This was my absolute favorite! What’s better than a story that centers around an older woman and a cool young rock star? Layla was an attorney who had made her job the most important thing in her life. So when she received some disappointing news about a career move, it shook her hard. It made her think about the goals she had set for herself and whether or not she still wanted to achieved them. Then Chance the young rock star came into her life and offered her comfort and something she thought had eluded her. It was a chance to change direction; a chance to finding her happily ever after. All she had to do was make a choice. Mika Jolie delivered a fantastic story, about finding love when one is least expecting it. It was delightfully sweet, sexy and realistic. This book read like a full length novel. The story was solid, with fully developed characters who had amazing chemistry and great depth. I was hooked from beginning to end and I couldn’t get enough.
DIRTY MARTINS by P.M Carson. This story was about Rachel Daine and Drew Canelli, who met on an online dating site. They had been exchanging personal messages with each other for a while, before they had decided that it was time they went out on a date -to find out if they should take their relationship to the next level. O.M.F.G! This story will pull on all your heartstrings. It was lively and exciting, steamy and emotional. Definitely a tear-jerker, so stock up on Kleenex, because it is bound to leave you in tears.
INTO THE DEEP by Kylie Stewart, was a swoon-worthy older man younger woman romance. I felt connected to Grayson and Gemma and fell in love with them instantly. Their chemistry was off the charts. They were prefect for each other. Their attraction oozes off the pages. The characters were fully developed and the story was well balanced and believable. This couple will wow you, with their warm sexy scenes and dirty-talk. Loved it!!
THE SPY WHO KISSED ME by Sharla Lovelace, was a great combination of action, deception and romance, with a touch of humor. The story was about Ava an attorney and Dominic an ex CIA agent. Ava felt that she was underappreciated and cheated out of a job promotion. So she made an impulsive decision that landed her into a whole heap of trouble. She found herself in the middle of a dangerous situation, where she had to put her faith in Dominic to keep her safe. It was entertaining and I really enjoyed it.
A big thank you, to all the authors for writing and sharing these books with readers! It was my first time reading some of these authors but it certainly won’t be my last!!
Hot…HOT…H O T ~ You know that fantasy you might have had from time to time that had you doing something naughty and totally out of keeping with your normal day to day choices? Perhaps a little bit reckless? Perhaps something you might have done in the past but not in the present? Well, this book has four such wonderful rather steamy stories that had me on the edge of my seat unable to stop reading. Whew! I hope YOU enjoy them all as much as I did!
LAYLA’S CHANCE by Mika Jolie Passed over for partnership in her law firm and needing to get away from Chicago Layla finds herself in Martha’s Vineyard regrouping. Little did she know that the hot younger man she literally bumped into would be the person that would make the huge difference in her life she so needed – that is – if she is willing to trust, listen to her guy and take a leap toward what she truly wants.
DIRTY MARTINIS by P.M. Carson A dirty martini is a tasty drink and this is one tasty story! If online dating is really like this story and I were single I would sign up in a heartbeat! Drew and Rachel met, texted, sexted and got to know one another online before meeting in real time. When they did the heat level and connection was off the charts. Neither wants a relationship. Both are workaholics. Both have secrets. Both want deeply but getting to their HEA is not easy. Not easy but oh so worth reading!
INTO THE DEEP by Kylie Stewart Gemma has headed home after deciding it was time to move on. She was married less than a day and has been divorced several months when she meets Grayson while checking out his home as a potential house to make her own. The two meet again and agree to one night together little knowing that one night would not be enough. Grayson is significantly older than Gemma but that doesn’t make a difference to the two of them as they work toward finding their HEA.
THE SPY WHO KISSED ME by Sharla Lovelace Another lawyer story but this time the story is quite different from the other in this anthology. Ava has also been passed over for partnership but a choice she makes puts her life on the line and Dominc, ex-CIA, feels an obligation to keep her safe. What a ride this couple takes before they can realize what they both so deeply want and need.
Thank you to Sharla Lovelace (and the other authors) for the opportunity to read this ARC – I have found three new authors I would not have heard of without reading this anthology and look forward to reading more by all four of these authors in the future.
I received an earc of this book from Mika and am voluntarily leaving an honest review. All the stories have a red thread I really loved them all. I will review every one of them, because they were amazing and have a few words that need to be said.
Layla's Chance by Mika Jolie O my god what an amazing story. What fascinated me the most was that Chance was sure of himself. He fell something for Layla and didn't want to let go of her. There wasn't any beating around the bush, he was straightforward and honest. While Layla was scared and her heart wasn't approachable. I get it, she had her reasons. That is why I am glad that Chance really was into her and gave her a chance to think it through and didn't push her for her decision. Loved this book very much! I really love the double meaning of the tittle.
Dirty Martinis by P. M. Carson: Their story is brilliant. I love these male characters that are sooo into the girls and are not afraid to go after they want and express their feelings. Rachel is also strong and confident, but afraid to lose herself in Drew. She thinks that loving someone and depending on them it means that you are weak. No, you are not. But your burden gets a little lighter if you can share it with someone who you really like and you can be yourself with them. Bravo for Drew for going after he likes, wants and loves. He is an amazing character. I fell in love with him a little.
Into the deep by Kylie Stewart: Grayson and Gemma's story is short but sweet. I like it how Gemma is very confident and knows what she wants. Grayson is also very confident, but he doesn't want to impose on Gemma. He likes her very much but doesn't want to be a burden to her.
The spy who kissed me by Sharla Lovelace: I really loved this book. It is funny and really intense. I was kept on the edge and really couldn't put it down while reading. Ava is a strong independant woman, but she is solely focused on her job. She doesn't have a family nor friends. Dominic is a bit bitter but he doesn't show it. You only see it when you read his thoughts. Ava and Dominic are really good together. I loved their insta-connection even after so many years being apart.
I love Sharla Lovelace stories and The Spy Who Kissed Me was action packed, sexy, fun. Circumstances lead Ava on a reckless rerouted trip into the arms of a handsome stranger. Dominic wants to protect this beautiful stranger while doing his job. These two had heat and sexual tension but beyond that was the chance for something real. Sharla packed a lot into this little novella. Characters to fall in love with and her trademark perfect storytelling that will grip you from the very first page. I love this author’s words and will read anything she writes!
Four stories, four couples, four sets of people who are determined to make the decision to live their lives and make every moment count. Eight people who take a leap of faith and take a chance on love, pushing their doubts and pain away and just go for it. Some it takes a little longer to come to that decision, but when they finally clear the doubt form their minds and decide to follow their hearts, it's pure magic. Love will definitely fill your hearts just as it does the characters in these well written stories. The characters are amazingly written, each with their own issues, their own brokenness, their own ideas of what their lives are and what they wish it could be, what they wish they could be. And when they give in to their basic instincts, the heat can be felt pouring from the pages. Get your fans ready readers, you will need it.
I loved each of these stories and the characters as well. I cannot recommend this anthology highly enough. There's something for everyone in here. Go ahead...take a leap of faith and give this book a try.
Grab a towel, it’s going to get steamy as four couples find love and romance and four authors come together in RECKLESS, an anthology about finding LOVE, of course!
Mika Jolie’s LAYLA’S CHANCE Younger guy falls for older woman, wait, successful, hot and famous younger guy falls for a hard-headed woman who is far more cautious than he about giving away her heart, even if it is screaming PICK HIM! In a slow burn romance, Chance must convince Layla they belong together, but can he?
Absolutely a toe-tingling read from Mika Jolie as one woman struggles with her own demons and the man who wants her is smart enough to give her room to breathe…fully developed in spite of its novella length, and yes, hot, very hot.
Kylie Stewart’s INTO THE DEEP has attitude in spades! Maybe because Gemma’s groom discovered he wanted his best man more…maybe because Grayson was too hot to ignore. I loved Gemma’s inner dialogue. Sometimes love is better the second time around, or maybe when it is just REAL love, with chemistry, real chemistry and heat! Yep, nothing better than getting over being burned by jumping into the fire!
Sharla Lovelace give us THE SPY WHO KISSED ME and once again, oh my! Can you say talk about a twisted web of crazy intrigue? Lots of action, in and out of the sheets, dark secrets that could ruin all Dominic and Ava are dancing around and did I mention chemistry that makes you root for both the hero and the heroine?
P.M. Carson knows how good DIRTY MARTINIS can be! Rachel is bent on being independent, probably because she had never met anyone like Drew. Will she figure out that sharing is caring and it only makes you stronger? Feel the heat, the magic unfolding in spite of Rachel and sigh at one more happily ever after!
Did I have a favorite or four? You bet I did!
I received a complimentary copy from Mika Jolie!

The Reckless Anthology is a collection of romance novellas from 4 different authors. This review is for Layla's Chance by Mika Jolie. I'm a huge fan of this format, sexy little novellas by different authors and Layla's Chance did not disappoint. Layla Benedict is a successful lawyer who has spent the last 12 years of her life focusing solely on her career and catering to the needs of others. She thought she was on track for partner at her prestigious firm, but a turn of events as left her not only sad and lonely, but questioning her life in a way she never has before. She has to get away from her life, if only for a few days. On her getaway she meets the gorgeous, Chance. She is 40, he is 27. This can't happen, he's too young, but will one night together be such a bad thing? Let me just say that the older woman, younger man trope is my catnip. I love it and I loved them. The chemistry between these two is off the charts, but I think what is most engaging is how Chance gets Layla to shed some of her inhibitions and just be free.
Layla ~ Yet, the free fall is the most intense rush of adrenaline I've ever experienced outside of being with Chance. The moment I jumped, tidal waves of emotions hit me. The sadness I've long held close to me as armor crumbled. The know rooted deep inside my chest disentangled and set me free. Overflowing with joy, as I surface my lips spread into a smile, as I surface my lips spread into a smile, and then break into laughter, all the years of anguish and sorrow slipping away....
Mika's writing style is crisp yet lush and easy to read. If you are looking for a fun, sexy, slightly forbidden novella with lots of heart and steam, give Layla's Chance a read.
I loved all four of these stories, but my favorite was Layla's Chance. I loved their explosive chemistry. My next favorite was Into the Deep. I loved Gemma and Grayson's instant connection. I also enjoyed Dirty Martini. Drew and Rachel were two alphas trying to get to the top in the corporate world. Does business and pleasure go well together? The Spy Who Kissed Me was also great. Dominic was just trying to protect Ava, but who would protect his heart from falling for her? Four great stories by four talented authors!
Layla's Chance. This book was a lovely love story about a older woman meeting a younger man and not believing she could fall in love and he would want her. Layla was at a crossroads of her life and needed more to fulfill her life. She takes an unplanned weekend vacation to Martha's Vineyard to clear her head and meets Chance, a singer in a rock band. Can this be what Layla needs or even want? What does Chance see in her? This is a good book to read. *** I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else’s. ***
In all honesty, I approach novellas with trepidation. I'm a lover of big books and can be hard to please in stories shorter than 200 pages. Imagine my surprise when I started reading the first of the four stories within this anthology and I was completely in love. Below are my quick reviews of the separate stories (not in order of appearance.)
Layla's Chance by Mika Jolie: This was my first story by author Mika Jolie and afterwards I was scrambling to check out her back list. This was an older woman/younger man romance that was meaningful in its introspection and achingly romantic. I was absolutely seduced by the realistic dialogue and sweetly written prose. Simply writing this review has brought me back into this couple's world and longing for more stories like this. Overall, impressed and excited to discover more of this author's work. A favorite in the anthology.
The Spy Who Kissed Me by Sharla Lovelace: Another fabulous story that leaned more towards the quirky and fun side involving a lawyer and ex-CIA operative. I started reading and didn't want to stop. Wonderful characters, swift pacing, some intense action, and a lot of fun and sexy times. Sharla Lovelace writes some wonderful full-length stories and I can't imagine how she was able to reign in her creativity and keep this at a novella length. Regardless, I was captivated by this clever and quirky story. Another favorite in the anthology.
Into the Deep by Kylie Stewart: This was an older man/younger woman romance that kept me turning pages. A worthy inclusion to the anthology that drew me into the romance and connection between Gemma and Grayson. Maybe not my favorite, but enjoyable nonetheless.
Dirty Martinis by P.M. Carson: Unfortunately, this story just wasn't for me in regards to writing style and story line. I'm sure many others will enjoy it. Since I didn't complete the story, I won't be rating it.
(This is my voluntary and unbiased review of an advanced copy of Reckless: An Anthology.)
There are no rules when it comes to love and these couples are determined to make every minute count. In a moment of heartache these people find that the chance of pain is worth the risk of happiness. The heart wants what it wants and the Reckless anthology is great reading with a bit of naughty fun. WINNER.
Layla’s Chance by Mika Jolie Layla is passed over for a promotion on her birthday and so she takes off for Martha's Vineyard where she meets a young rock star. She has to decide if he is right for her, or if she's just being a cougar. This one was really good. My first by this author.
Dirty Martinis by P.M. Carson After phone calls, texts and Skyping for months, Rachel and Drew finally meet in person. Sparks fly. Their date ends up lasting much longer than either of them expected, and when an emergency comes up, they decide they never want the date to end. Another great read, and also a first for me from this author.
Into The Deep by Kylie Stewart Gemma chose the wrong man. She goes home to get over her experience and meets Grayson. She decides he is the one she will use as her first one night stand, but things don't always go as planned. This one was my second favorite out of all four stories, though they were all great.
The Spy Who Kissed Me by Sharla Lovelace Intrigue and romance sets up this story. Ava thought she was getting a partnership in her lawyer firm, but instead, her boss sends her on an errand that will take a plane ride and a hotel room stay. When she's on her way, she finds out she didn't get the promotion, so she decides she's going to take an impromptu vacation. What she doesn't know is her boss is not a nice man, and ex-CIA operative, Dominic makes it his job to keep Ava safe. The fact that he can't keep his hands off of her has nothing to do with the job. This one was my favorite, but then Sharla is one of my favorites. She spins a wonderful story that keeps you on the edge of your seat and leaves you panting for more.
Mika Jolie, Kylie Stewart, P M Carson, and Sharla Lovelace have put together an amazing collection of four romantic and intriguing stories.
Mika Jolie's Layla's Chance is an amazing story filled with thrilling moments and enjoyable characters you'll fall in love with instantly. This author has a knack for writing stories containing well developed protagonists and a plot that feels real. And this is no exception.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book.
Mika Jolie Layla’s Chance I enjoyed this book. I felt bad for Layla since she did not have such great parents. Then to work for a law firm for so long and get passed over for partner, that was awful. Chance seems like a great guy and knows what he wants. I can understand how Layla felt since she was so much older than Chance. It was a feel good romance that I encourage you to read. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.
P.M. Carson Dirty Martinis Drew and Rachel were so alike. They had met through a dating app. There in black and white they were 100 per cent compatible. Sadly, Rachel’s father raised her like a male, and she had all the points to live her life by like a man. I felt bad that she was really lonely and worked all the time. The one good thing was how she did every thing for her sick mother. Taking care of her is where I saw her most human. Drew and Rachel both found their match as they both thought they could just have one night stands and be on their way. This was true until they found each other. I enjoyed the book, and encourage you to read it. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.
Kylie Stewart Into the Deep I couldn’t imagine how Gemma felt when she found out her husband she just married was found with another man! She had one of the shortest marriages. I was glad to see her move back to her home town where her family lives. It was crazy that she met Grayson when she looked to buy his house. I felt bad for Grayson because so many people thought he was like his selfish father without giving him a chance. I was glad that Gemma didn’t listen to others, but found out what he was like for herself. This is a good book that I encourage you to read it. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.
Sharla Lovelace The Spy Who Kissed Me This was my favorite book in the set. I love books that have suspense, action, and romance, which this book has. I felt so bad for Ava working for that d@ckwad that was a poor excuse or a human. I loved it when she decided to let loose and live on the edge. I just don’t think that what happened to her was what she had in mind! Dominic was out for revenge, and I was glad to see how Ava evened him out. It was a good book that I encourage you to read. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.
Woo! Give me a fan! It's hot in here! What a collection! I am a big fan of collections. I love getting stories from different authors in one book. This anthology is a romance lovers dream. Carson ~ Drew and Rachel meet on a dating site. They don't expect it to be more than a fling. But life likes to take our plans and change them. I loved this one! Following these characters from talking to meeting to their hot relationship was a blast. INTO THE DEEP by Kylie Stewart ~ This one is hot hot hot. The things Grayson said gave me chills. Grayson and Gemma both are dealing with things. But it turns out each other is what they needed for their hearts. This story was sexy, raw and will have you falling in love yourself. THE SPY WHO KISSED ME by Sharia Lovelace ~ Fans of action packed romance, this one is for you! I am one those fans. This one had me hooked. A round of applause for Layla's Chance by Mika Jolie! I absolutely loved this story. I rarely read books about older women/ younger men, but after reading this one, I may try a few more. This book was very well written and it flowed effortlessly. The story held my attention from beginning to end. I try to avoid putting spoilers in my reviews, so I'll just say Layla and Chance....yes honey! Straight fire! This story is worth checking out. You will not be disappointed. Awesome job, Mika Jolie!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This review is for Layla’s Chance and Into the Deep. Both of these were romantic and showed that age differences were not deterrents when love is involved. I truly loved both of these books and the characters were amazing.
A must read. Four books by different authors and each one gives you something completely different. Filled with strong women, swoon-worthy men, and stories that keep you on the edge of your seat. You will not be disappointed.
Absolutely LOVED this Anthology! ❤️ 4 steamy Couples that left me Swooning until the very last page. Adored Into the Deep by Kylie Stewart! Fantastic writing! Check this one out!
These were all new authors to me so I was excited to read their stories and I enjoyed them.
Layla’s Chance by Mika Jolie: This was a good story that is about an older woman, Layla and a younger man, Chance. It’s not often that you see this type of story line so I was interested to see how it played out. This was a fast paced read about Layla, a lawyer who has retreated to Martha’s Vineyard. When she meets the much younger Chance, a rock star, she is wary but Chance slowly but surely breaks down her barriers. I really liked how Chance gave Layla the power to make her decision without too much pressure and he seemed like a great guy. Will chance rock Layla’s world and turn it upside down or will Lyla run? A sweet, yet hot read that shows that love can occur when you leas expect it.
Dirty Martinis by P.M. Carson: This is Drew Canell and Rachel Daine’s story; they met through a dating site. What happens when you finally meet the person you have been texting and video calling with? When Drew and Rachel finally meet it is like an explosion happening around them. The chemistry between them is like fireworks going off as they meet and immediately connect. This story had it all; it was emotional, (I admit to a few tears being shed), steamy, fun and exciting and I so wanted these two to get their happily ever after.
Into The Deep by Kylie Stewart: Another new author to me. This is an older man younger women romance. I really liked both Grayson and Gemma and was able to connect to them with ease.. Their chemistry was off the charts and scorchingly hot. I loved the banter and dirty talk between Grayson and Gemma and wanted to read more which is a sign that the author has engaged and kept my attention.
The Spy Who Kissed Me by Sharla Lovelace: This was not a particularly long read but it certainly packed a punch. There was plenty of action, fun and some hot and sizzling scenes that kept my attention. The suspense was good and I found myself wanting to keep reading to see what happened. Her writing was strong and I enjoyed the story of Dominic and Ana.

The Reckless anthology is a collection of steamy and romantic stories from four very talented romance authors: Mika Jolie, P.M. Carson, Kylie Stewart, and Sharla Lovelace. The men are all sexy, including a rock star, a businessman who finds love on a dating app, a rugged silver fox with a dreamy voice, and a spy who saves the damsel in distress.
Layla’s Chance Layla is an overworked lawyer who runs away to Martha’s Vineyard where she accidentally bumps into Chance, a hot rocker who only has eyes for her.
Dirty Martini’s Drew was dared to try a dating app where he met Rachel, the woman of his dreams. Will she slow down long enough for the two of them to meet, or will their relationship remain in cyberspace?
Into The Deep Gemma was house hunting when she met the owner, a sexy silver fox who was so handsome she almost stopped breathing. Will he offer to give her a private tour?
The Spy Who Kissed Me Ava bumped into Dominic at the airport where she was leaving on an assignment for her boss. When her plans and destination suddenly change, Dominic follows her. But she is unaware that he has been following her all along.
I love this Anthology because the stories are magical, the characters are swoon-worthy, and it shows us that love is unexpected and always worth it All of the authors are new to me and I can’t wait to read more of their wonderful books.
This review is for Layla’s Chance book 1 in the Reckless Anthology. This novella is set in Martha’s Vineyard and it’s Layla and Chance’s story, Layla a lawyer has escaped to the Vineyard after being professionally devasted on her birthday she needs some space she needs time to lick her wounds and work out where her life is going what she doesn’t expect is a chance meeting with a younger guy will not only turn her life around but it will also make her future very clear. Chance maybe younger than Layla but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t know what he wants to him age is just a number but can he convince Layla that his philosophy to life is the best..... This may have been a quick read but that doesn’t mean it’s not a page turner I was hooked from the first page. All of the authors in this anthology are new to me and I will time permitting make sure I read every other story purely because I enjoyed Layla’s Chance so much, it was nice to see love from an older woman’s perspective and I loved the characters as well as the storyline, looking forward to reading the rest of this anthology and more from Mika Jolie.
With her dreams shattered, Layla heads for Martha's Vineyard for something she never does. A vacation. Time to think and regroup. Not to mention celebrate her birthday. Alone. But the attraction is instantaneous and can't be denied. Only she wants a one night stand. Something he can tell is out of her character. But after a weekend he wants more. Only her finding out who he is and his career choice makes that impossible for her. She is much older, not to mention scarred by her fathers choice of music over his family. Will they be able to overcome the obstacles and make a go of it?

Reckless Anthology is a collection of some beautiful Romance stories with different flavours. My favourite was The Spy Who Kissed Me by Sharla Lovelace! It was sexy, funny and full of suspense. She mixed love and thriller perfectly! I love the characters. The plot was clever and entertaining.. It will be in mind for a long time. I wish it was longer as I couldn't have enough of the unlikely couple of a spy and a lawyer. Layla's Choice by Mika Jolie is a sweet fairytale love story of Layla ,an workaholic-underappreciated lawyer and Chance Santos, lead singer of the popular alternate Rock Band Take Flight which talks about following your heart and taking risks for true love. Dirty Martinis by P.M.Carson is a story of Drew and Rachel. Both of them were ambitious, driven, afraid of commitment and firm believer of keeping relationships far away to succeed in their lives. Their arrangement was working fine until they started having real feelings. The author managed to put some interesting twists in the story that made it an enjoyable read. after a series of heartbreaks, misunderstandings and divine interventions they finally find their way to love. I loved the story! Into The Deep by Kylie Stewart has one of my most favourite things in any Romance- a dirty talking, over confident, sexy alpha aka Grayson. The sex scenes were scorching hot. Gemma is recovering from her unfortunate divorce after very short marriage. She meets Grayson while visiting her hometown and thinks Grayson will be her rebound. Grayson is also nursing his wounds from a difficult divorce. but soon their one night stand becomes something deeper and intense. Fate soon brings them together to mend their broken hearts. a beautiful love story!
