Mr. CEO

Willow started writing after having her little girl, Evie, December 2015. All during her pregnancy with Evie she continued to read and she only wanted to read romance. She was reading a book a day — sometimes two.

In January 2016 Willow was staying up late with Evie and just thinking of all these stories. They came to her constantly so she finally sat down and just started writing. She always wanted to do it so she figured, why not? Today Willow cannot be happier for making that decision!

Happy reading and best wishes,

Willow xx

Carter – his persona is one of those that you just cannot help but love and respect even though it was a bit full on at times. He’s hard to work out and I could not predict what he was going to do next. There is this almost untouchable energy around him and I found him to be the most fascinating character in this book.

Aria – I don’t know how to feel about her to be honest in the beginning. I did not really know how to take her behaviour and attitudes towards Carter because she was rightly afraid, annoyed and fearful of what was going to happen. Her submission and her demeanour is written very well and she’s definitely a character to watch.

This story has many different twists and turns and a very addictive nature. You will not want to put it down and I am so glad that I found this book! I don’t know how to sum up this book – I don’t think it can be summed up really because it is the first of 4 books. I feel the darkness and the chemistry so much and it really was addicting to read because now whilst I’m writing this review I have read all 4 books. There is something compelling about the way that Willow writes and I have to say that if you haven’t read anything by this author and this is my first book of hers – you’re missing out for damn sure! Once you start reading there is no way you can stop, literally no way.

    Loved the read

This book was one of the best setups for a series I've read in a while, while still being a full book in it's own right. I put off on starting this series for a long time, because I know with Willow's books I'm not gonna want to stop reading until the end and with 4 books in this series I didn't want to risk having to wait so long. And I was right, I just finished book 1 and I want to get right into the second book. And while it was a bit of a slow start for me, once I got into the story and the lives of Aria and Carter I just couldn't put it down!

I absolutely loved the dynamic between Carter and Aria. Both of their pasts being so heartbreakingly terrible and sad you can't help but feel for them. And the way their personalities were written was spot on to me, it made sense with their pasts, which you don't see too often anymore in a lot of books. The pure obsession and possessiveness in Carter seemed to fit very well with Aria's pure strength.

This book was deliciously dark and very well written and with the last in the series coming out within a week, there's no reason for you not to pick up this series. Highly recommend it!

Thank God is a story with HEA even though I could not see any possibility of it almost till the fourth book. What a ride reading these books! Carter and Aria ... I did not know what to expect when I started reading Merciless Series. I had a go at a Crime Family story romance a little while ago, but something was missing, and honestly, I was reluctant getting another one, but it kept popping up on my Fb feeds, and I read the intro so many times that by the end I decided to get the whole Series. I’ve felt every emotion described in these books. Winter Willows is a Master of The Words, my first time reading a book of hers.I practically lived these books while reading, and after so many ups and downs, I finally felt relieved that there was a HEA. As for the sex scenes, blimey, I’m kind of speechless, but, hey, each with their own. Anyway, I highly recommend all the four books. I wish I knew I had to read Posessive first, then A Kiss To Tell, and after that Merciless ❤️❤️❤️

I downloaded this book at 1am I shldnt have as I needed to study and get up early, unfortunately neither happened. I had to Finnish reading it, it was compulsive reading and more I read the more I hated Carter, she saved him when she was a child and he hated her for it. He abused her, questionable consent in the sexual scenes. I think she gave in too easy and comeone starved for 10 days , not washed, etc no sleep locked her in a cell etc and then suddenly you’re aloud a bath and now you’ve got the desire and energy to give in to him, in reality you would be medically unwell dehydrated requiring fluids not a bout of rough sex. I was so annoyed with Aria wanted her to collapse faint or something to bring some sort of emotion out of him but I guess that’s why the title is Merciless and so is he . Still a great read but a bit too dark for me , however it won’t stop me from reading the rest of the series, even though I desperately want to skip them to the last one but il try and contain myself . I might read Daniel s story next his romance with Addison hopefully will not be a rollercoast if emotions not conducive to sleeping

I’m still trying to catch my breath! OMG, Merciless is not what I anticipated it to be and it left me speechless! It gave all the feels with mixed emotions!
A spine tingling and Angsty Must Read! 🖤
Carter Cross!?! - I hated him but at the same time I just could not help but love him- he’s ruthless m, powerful dangerous but hot! 🔥
This story is very much a dark romance that’s gripping and addictive - it’s a story you are drawn into where you cannot put it down- I read feeling anxious throughout and it had me on the edge of my seat! I kept looking at how much was left and wondering where on earth was this going and how’s it going to end- it’s definitely not a story you can predict let me tell you ! you will be reading it with bated breath!! I found Merciless to be probably one of the darkest I’ve read of Willows, so intense and deep yet captivating and as usual she’s left us craving more!

5.0 out of 5 stars 4.75 starts Merciless Ride
Reviewed in India on 31 October 2019
This is my first book from this author. I have heard about her so much. I was thinking which book to pick and finally picked this. I think now I understand why there are so many fans for W Winters.

The writing style and plot of this book is awesome. Even the grip in plot which makes you to turn pages ahead is also good. However, only reason I gave this 4.75 starts is because I hated heroine Aria. She is strong, I admired her for mental strength initially, but its not enough according to me.

Book starts with Aria Talvery, daughter of violent crime head being captive and passed over to Carter Cross. Carter is elder of 4 brothers and head of drug cartel. He takes Aria as captive with help of another family and assumes other two families (Talvery and Ramano) will start a war and end up with lot of casualties which will benefit him.

Cater is powerful, cold and calculative.  He is a man you’re going to hate to love. He is merciless! His plans get altered as Aria becomes unwilling captive. Aria is strong, but defiant character of her was not up to the mark for me. It was hard to decipher the chemistry, it felt more like Carter exerting his will control over Aria, and less of Aria’s self-preservation.

I did wonder on certain things, how lust takes over when basic necessities like hunger is not satiated? Not sure how human mind works, 2 weeks of isolation will cause you think of something like lust, when basic necessities are not met?. According to me Aria didn’t even try to escape, I understand sometime being smart and let them think you obey them is fine, blatantly downright agreeing for sex , she smartly answers as the thing on her mind is drawing pad.

I didn’t see where the story was going, I was immersed in it. Cater is Merciless, ruthless and driven. Carter won’t disappoint you.  This book is fast-paced and easily kept my attention and interest. It’s dark and taboo yet fascinating. This book has a proper balance and addictive storyline. It is from dual POV and had minimal secondary characters. Jase was intriguing. I cannot wait to get stuck into Heartless-Book 2 in the series.

3.0 out of 5 stars A really dark one
Reviewed in Brazil on 8 February 2022
I confess I’m not a dark specialist and when I read this book I was not aware of the dark romance genre yet. Didn’t know about triggers warnings and any of that. This book is certainly in the deep corner of the dark romance. Full of triggers. It wouldn’t be a book I’d comfortably read, but when it’s the written word I try to oversee a lot of things. Be warned this book ends in a cliffhanger and if you are easily triggered, don’t read it.
