All About the D Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 703 ratings

Temptation has never come in a hotter package. You know how people say you can never believe what you read on the interwebs? That a hot guy online is probably a creeper with a beer gut and a shoe fetish, not the sexy beast he pretends to be? So I had no clue that the anonymous blogger who contacted my law firm about his naughty website would be droolworthy in real life. Not that I'm interested in him in that way. Attorneys can't go around sleeping with their clients. Not even if he is the most beautiful man I've ever met and so ridiculously smart he makes my nerdy-girl heart sigh. Besides, he has too much on the line to risk taking a chance on the insane chemistry building between us. We both do. I've always followed the rules. Too bad he makes me want to break each and every one of them. * * * All About the D is a romantic comedy and a full-length standalone. Due to adult situations and sexual content, it's recommended for readers over the age of 18.

This was my first Lex & my first Leslie (despite following her & having a few of her books on my TBR!) & what a cherry popper!!

I loved this book, especially Josh & Evie's flirty, witty banter.

Highly recommend it & hope you love it as much as I did.

This started a little slow for me but once it got going I loved the romance to it. The family drama and then the crazy friends. Just a great read.
    Narration was awesome too.

Josh has a big problem. Huge really. Part of the problem lies in the fact that, as a member of the Cartwright family he's required to maintain certain standards. Accordingly, if it ever became public knowledge that certain parts of his anatomy were independently famous (or is that infamous?) thanks to the anonymous blog he runs, things would be ... bad.

That's where Evie comes into play. As his prospective lawyer, her mission, should she chose to accept it, would be to assist Josh in diversifying and monetizing his brand, all while protecting his anonymity.

At least it's just the two of them who could identify the anatomy on the blog as being his, right? Oh, and his best friend whose dare inspired the blog in the first place. And potentially any woman he's ever been with.

    What could possibly go wrong?

The first few chapters surprised me a little. I was expecting light irreverent humor filled with innuendos and double entendres, and all of that was there in spades, but the writing was crisp, clever and witty, and the humor was on point.

What really surprised me about All About The D, however, was that as the story progressed, as the relationship between Josh and Evie became more complicated and serious, so too did the tone of the overall story.

The characterizations became deeper, the interplay more nuanced, and everything gets incredibly messy in the best possible way, all while still maintaining the overall sense of joy that permeated the earlier chapters.

A wonderfully fun romp with a surprisingly deep soul. Highly recommended.

This book was so entertaining I loved it!

All About the D…definitely a fitting title for this one! The blurb alone had me hooked and I couldn’t wait to dive in. Imagine the hottie on that cover running a totally NSFW blog about his manhood and showing it to the world, and you’ve got yourself the premise of this book. It’s a rom-com with some pretty racy scenarios which makes it absolutely perfect for a reader who wants to laugh until they cry and fan themselves from the steam all at once!

Right away, I loved both Evie and Josh. There was an instant, undeniable chemistry between them. She’s an up and coming attorney looking for that breakout case to make her Partner at the firm, and he’s looking for an office to represent his anonymity in his extracurricular activity of sharing his “D” with half a million people on his internet blog, All About the D. They never expect that trying to hide who he truly is would take such a toll on everyone involved.

This is a dual POV, and the story moves at a really good pace. Easy to follow plot, characters with likable traits, and some hilarious innuendos makes this such a great read! I’d definitely recommend it for someone who wants a good laugh with both sweet and sexy moments in between. It is a standalone, but there will be a second book with Evie and Josh’s respective BFF’s, Kendall and Drew, that I’ll absolutely be reading!

4.5 Stars for All About The D.

I need to start off by saying that I loved this book. This was a great read that was filled with humour and I have to say it was unique compared to anything I’ve read before.

This book is filled with innuendos that made me laugh out loud and smile at my screen. I loved Josh and I loved Evie and them together was the perfect match. Josh was a gentleman, he was hilarious, and enthusiastic meanwhile Evie was just as funny, genuine and relatable. All the secondary characters were great too. They added another level of greatness to the story, Kendall and Drew were the perfect best friends that gave us something extra to laugh about and I can’t wait to read their story next.

This plot line was so different that it had me wanting to find out what happens next, it’s not every day that we find a book where the hero has a blog dedicated to his dick… and he’s internet famous because of it. It was genius.

Lex Martin and Leslie McAdam’s had me laughing throughout this whole book but they also had me feeling all the emotions when some of the twists appeared. They created the perfect romantic comedy. This book is perfect if you want to laugh, to read a book with complicated characters and to have some twist and turns along the way as well as those steamy scenes then this book is perfect for you. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with All About The D, in fact, i’ve already recommended it to a friend. I can’t wait for the next instalment!

Evie and Josh are everything, they both made me laugh so much and they are totally adorable together.
I loved that while Evie was portrayed as "Ms Frumpy" in the beginning, it wasn't a complete hang-up for her. I'm so over books where the h continues to think up until the very end "why me? I'm ugly and nerdy", and that wasn't the case here.
I love about Josh that he knows what he wants and is all-in. For example, even though it started off as a stupid bet, he really is dedicated to his dick blog. And it sounds amazing, I'd definitely scroll through his pics!! Also, the love Chauncey and him have for each other made me swoon. He is exactly the type of guy I'd want, aside from the dick blog. I don't think I could cope with that 😂

I adore all of Lex's books and am ashamed to say I haven't read anything by Leslie yet, though I'll have to rectify that, hopefully soon. I couldn't tell at all which part was written by which author, it was so well and fluently written that it seems like one mind behind it. Cudos for that, I am looking forward to many more stories from the two of you!!

I can't wait to read more about Kendall and where she comes from. I'm not so sure about Drew though, he seems like a total dick getting by on his parent's money.

All About the D was a beautiful, naughty, heartfelt story of 2 people needing validation in their professional lives. Finding love was not on their radar.
Josh, not your typical rich guy next door meets Evie, a strong, smart educated woman who has a refreshing, almost intoxicating personality that Josh finds enduring.
Their chemistry is off the charts hot.
The jokes are snort out loud hilarious.
This book, by these two authors equals flawless and seemless writing. They gave us a story you can see yourself becoming a part of, and never wanting to leave.
While the "D" jokes are spot on and not even the least bit overdone, I found myself looking forward to them, each one funnier than the last, so creative.
If you are looking for a Rom-Com with heart, depth, stamina and humour, well look no further, you've found it.
Devouring the "D" in one sitting will most likely happen. Dreaming of the "D" is another common side effect. Fantasizing about the "D" is inevitable....so give into the "D", read All About The D, You will not regret it.

I can't wait to read what Leslie McAdam and Lex Martin come up with next😉

All About the D by Lex Martin & Leslie McAdam has got to be the best thing I’ve read all year! I have never read anything from these authors before and I have to say, I will most definitely be one clicking all of their work.

Evelyn Mills is an uneventful woman. According to her ex, she’s not very spontaneous and boring. However, she is so busy as a junior associate at a law firm, trying to make her way to partner, she doesn’t have time for anything else.

Evelyn needs a big client, a HUGE one at that. Well, that client happens to Josh Cartwright, a wealthy architect. The Cartwright family if a well-known family in the Portland area and they are expected to represent the family with prestige and not damage the family name. EVER.

While on the outside, Josh is nothing but respectful of his family and their name, on the inside the man has a HUGE secret. One that could cost his family everything. A bet was made and lost, a blog was created and All About the D is off and running. But Josh needs an attorney to represent him and keep him anonymous.

“I take pictures of my dick and post them online. I’m a modern-day flasher in a raincoat.”

Evelyn decides to meet with Josh to discuss what he needs are, but the sexual tension between the two of them is unreal. Being that Josh could be a potential client, Evelyn knows nothing can happen between them. Yet, she is trying not to remember the fact she already knows what the man looks like naked….

What starts off as a hands-off friendship turns into so much more when the law firm rejects taking on Josh as a client. The relationship is well on its way to developing into something absolutely wonderful when all of the sudden the law firm changes their mind and Evelyn is back to being Josh’s lawyer.

Will Evelyn and Josh be able to keep their hands off of each other? Can they be just friends? Would Evelyn be able to deal with knowing all of these people get to see the most intimate part of someone she’s falling for? Are they willing to risk it all for love?

This book has the perfect amount of drama, definitely some fun, home improvements, dogs and sexiness. I was laughing my ass of most of the book, it was so crazy good, especially the mold scene! Then, I fell in love with the way Josh describes Evelyn and how she owns him completely. I think in some respect, I think that we all hope our loved one feels that way about us, with nothing but complete admiration. I love that Josh is a nerdy type of guy with glasses but is totally hot and that Evelyn was a gorgeous woman that was still a little insecure about herself. They just went together so well and the supporting characters were also wonderful. I’m looking forward to the story of Drew and Kendall!!

All About the D is one of those books I’ll be digging right back into again.

P.S. – As I was reading this book, I kept thinking about this blog on Tumblr that I follow and how it seemed to fit in flawlessly with this book. Little did I know…

Funny enough I stumbled upon a similar tumblr before so not far out at all. Evie nabs a big case for her firm representing a NSFW blog that's on the rise. Josh was not what I was expecting at all really though it's hard to imagine the guy behind that kind of site. Being Clark Kent about your other identity proves to have a reason for anonymity and legal counsel.

A girl, guy, and dick blog what could happen? A lot of ridiculous shenanigans of course. Being his attorney makes things a little bit difficult at first. But that chemistry and attraction of hard to deny.
While I do like the heroine and her quirky ways her insecurities were still there. The hero brought out another side of her that she kept hidden though. Josh was a good guy actually smart and creative. I like that he also changed in way to realizing what he valued more.

Things aren't boring at all. What happens when Josh's secret is threatened and his new budding relationship gets in hot water? Things aren't boring for sure.

Crazy moments, family drama and some sex toys in between all about the d is funny, sexy and sweet. Lighthearted romcom by a new writing duo. I have my guesses who wrote based on previous work what part I hope they tell. If you're looking for a easy fun good time read look no further
