From USA Today Bestselling author, Nana Malone, comes a deliciously royal, roommates to lovers romance.
Lucas...
I'll never stop fighting for her...no matter the stakes.
A year ago I found out I was a long lost prince. But with one lie, that’s all been undone.
But prince or pauper, I’m not going to stop fighting for Bryna. She may be the only thing I can count on right now.
Bryna…
I never meant to get in so deep with my royal roommate—but in my defense I didn't know.
If anyone else finds out his royal status, my mother will meddle faster than you can say gold digger. More importantly, Lucas’s life could be in danger. Because, I’m not the only one with secrets. And there’s a lot more at stake than heartbreak.
(This is Book 2 in the Royals Undone Duet. You must read Royal Bastard first.)
Wall Street Journal & USA Today Bestselling author, Nana Malone writes Sexy Feel-Good Romance and loves of all things romance and adventure.
That love started with a tattered romantic suspense she "borrowed" from her cousin. It was a sultry summer afternoon in Ghana, and Nana was a precocious thirteen. She's been in love with kick butt heroines ever since. With her overactive imagination, and channeling her inner Buffy, it was only a matter a time before she started creating her own characters.
Bastard Prince follows the story of Lucas and Bryna. Lucas, who was brought up living an 'ordinary' life - well, as much as ordinary as could be - his step-father was a conman and this is the only life that Lucas has ever known and understood. Now he finds out that he is a prince - a bastard prince, and to say that he is having a little trouble adjusting is an understatement. But one thing is clear and that is his love for Bryna. He would do anything for her and when it becomes clear that his new found family is under threat, it is apparent that he would do anything to protect her - including going on the run without telling a soul. But will Bryna ever be able to forgive him for this? After all, he has left her alone and heartbroken.
Bastard Prince is another book by Nana Malone that I absolutely love! It gets its claws into you and doesn't let go - you just want to keep reading to find out what happens next. It is racy and steamy and full of mystery and suspense. Brilliantly written from the perspective of all the main characters interchangeably - you get the whole story and not just part of it. Bastard Prince is definitely a book that I recommend as a must read.
I’ve been so desperate to read Bastard Prince ever since finishing off the first book, Royal Bastard.
ARC Received in exchange for an honest review
Book two continues where book one left us. That major cliffhanger at the end of book one was surprising and Bastard Prince has even more surprises in store for you.
Lucas and Bryna are even more amazing in this book. We get to see more of Lucas’ struggles here and to say it hurts is an understatement. It feels like someone is clutching your heart in a tight grip and just won’t let it go. The aftermath of his childhood still haunts him and has him making decisions that aren’t exactly the best for him. Bryna is as badass and awesome as ever. I love how strong she is but her heartbreak was horrible to witness. Wanting someone so bad but thinking they don’t want you as much as you want them is heartbreaking, poor girl.
Lucas and Bryna’ journey was like a rollercoaster ride. It hits you with an insane amount of feels. One minute you’re happy them next your heart is hurting and that, to me makes an excellent book. The twists and turns were quite refreshing. I didn’t see most of what happened coming and I was legit in shock, just wow.
Nana Malone does an incredible job of getting you hooked to her books. Once I started I just couldn’t stop until I had finished and I’m sure glad I didn’t because this beauty was well worth staying up to 3:23am to finish.
Bastard Prince is full of secrets, twists and turns and sex, lots and lots of freaking hot sex. I love me some royal scandals.
I thought I loved Lucas after reading Royal Bastard, but this book just solidified my undying, head-over-heels, whole-hearted infatuation with him!
Bastard Prince annihilated by heart! After the ending of Royal Bastard, we were left with so many unanswered questions, and the feelings of despair and heartbreak. We felt everything Lucas and Bryna were going through. Those same emotions, along with confusion over actions taken in the first book, are carried over right into this book.
Lies and treachery play a major role in this book, along with heartache and self-sacrifice. Everything we thought we knew in book one is challenged and clouded with uncertainties and shocking truths. Lucas and Bryna’s love that was found in book one faces its hardest setbacks and obstacles yet. Can their love find a way to survive, when everything is trying to tear it apart?
Omg….I cannot get enough of these royals! I loved Sebastian and Penny’s story, lost my heart completely to Lucas and Bryna, and now can’t wait for Jessa’s story to come! Suspenseful, thrilling, with boundless passion and emotions, these books are royally fantastic! Do not pass them up!
5 Stars!

Bastard Prince was a great ending to a great duet. And this whole series really has me hooked. I unfortunately didn't read the previous duet in this series, but while I absolutely plan to go back and rectify that, I don't feel like I was missing anything because of it.
I loved Lucus and Bryna in book one, Royal Bastard, and I think I fell in love with them even more in this one. I loved how strong Bryna was. Even when she was hurting, she still seemed to do what needed to be done or what was right. Lucus was willing to sacrifice anything, including his own happiness and even his life, for those he loved. What's not to love about that?
This book took me on a crazy, intense, wonderful adventure. And it kept me on my toes and the edge of my seat wondering if everything would work out the way I was hoping it would. I definitely recommend everyone read it to find out what happens.
I look forward to the next book and the next royal sibling being found. In the mean time I plan to go back and read more Nana Malone books.
This story picks up where its predecessor ended. Lucas takes flight and Bryna is left to heal her own wounds. From there the story really takes off. This story has depth, emotion, intrigue, romance, heat, hope and devotion. Make sure the AC is turned all the way down and the fans are on cause the heat is on!
As the story unfolds questions are answered, and others arise. It’s nice to see that all the characters seem to have main parts pertinent to the development of the plot. There aren’t just glimpses of former characters we’ve read about before. These people are central figures in the keeping the story flowing. We watch Lucas and Bryna evolve and become independent people who come into their own. Bryna turns out to be a force to be reckoned with. Although inside she’s dying to be with Lucas, she holds her ground and makes Lucas take stock and work for it.
One of my favorites is still Penny. She is so determined and self assured. Her metamorphoses is amazing. The author certainly knows how to write strong women while keeping them soft and vulnerable at the right times. All the while I’m in love with both Penny and Bryan’s female friends, Ariel and Jinx. I’m looking forward to their stories. At least I’m hopeful that their stories get told or at least figure prominently in a future book.
There’s so much intrigue and mystery in this book it really keeps you hooked. Some aspects are wrapped up but others are left dangling like a fish on a hook. I am so anticipating the next story. I read this book in one sitting cause, it’s a fast read and it captivated me. Yes, this chapter is wrapped up to a satisfying degree but it’s like you have a taste and need more. I’m not full yet. I want the whole enchilada or as they say in The Winston Isles clotted cream and scone.
Royals, Royals and more Royals! Nana Malone knows how to write about them and does a damn good job of keeping this reader entertained. The Bastard Prince is a delicious story involving the latest member to the Winston Isle family Lucas Newsome. Keeping true to her style of writing, Malone brings lots of steamy alone time between royal couples and dangerous action that bring the characters to life. Bastard Prince is a great story and I can only hope to review Royal Tease when it’s released in November, I know I won’t be disappointed. I give Bastard Prince 5 stars.
Lucas Newsome just can’t seem to get it right. First, he’s raised to be a conman, then he’s told he’s a prince, then he’s told he’s not. Second the father of the girl he is in love with his trying to prove Lucas is embezzling from the charity that he oversees. Who knows the truth? With his criminal stepfather after him, Lucas feels his only option to keep Lady Bryna and his brother the King safe is to run. Bryna is the only person who has ever loved him, but if he doesn’t leave and his stepfather finds them they will have more than just broken hearts. If Lucas survives he can only pray that Bryna will forgive him.
Lucas was told he was a prince. But he used to be a con. Then his royalty is all undone with one revelation. His stepfather is after him (and Bryna?). Bryna's father is trying to prove Lucas is a criminal. So many obstacles are in Lucas and Bryna's path to happiness. Through it all he knows he has to keep his Bryna safe, so he runs and she's left alone to deal with the aftermath. Will Lucas' parentage ever be unraveled? Will Bryna ever forgive Lucas for running out on her? Will they get their much deserved second chance?
Nana Malone's royals are some of my favorite fictional royals and I think Lucas just may have ousted Sebastian out of his place as my favorite Malone royal. He and Bryna's story had me on the edge of my seat wondering if things would ever get sorted out, if they'd ever get their HEA. Through it all, their love was there, waiting for their reunion, and when it came, I was cheering. Kudos Nana Malone for Lucas and Bryna's sexy, sweet, suspenseful story!
Bryna and Lucas. What began with a lie almost ended in disaster, yet somehow turned out to be just right. Royal Bastard ended on a cliffhanger. A shocking revelation sent Lucas' happy ending spiraling out of control. Now he will stop at nothing to protect the people who showed him what it means to love. Malone amps up the adrenaline without neglecting the heart. Bastard Prince is a tale of love, sacrifice and family. The danger is intense, the secrets are immense, but the familial connections are stronger than blood. Love can conquer anything even DNA.
What a sequel. The last time we saw Lucas his world was knocked off its access. In good ol’ Lucas fashion, as a result of the explosive information he got, promptly he crawled out of the window and legged it into the darkness. Back into the shadows that had been his way of life for years prior to finding his life on Winston Isles.
This author never makes her readers wait too long between releases, and after the end of the Bastard Royal that was a true stress reliever.
Bryna and Lucas are still circling each other like starving wolves over a new kill. Only they aren’t plotting killing one another, well not much anyway. Forgiving someone and giving them a second chance adds so much more tension and emotion to a read. Love scenes were hard impacting, edgy and used in all the best ways.
‘I would have taken more time to appreciate the view if I hadn’t been so consumed by the sensation of being wrapped up in her. It was like having my dick encased in heaven, and I didn’t want to miss a moment.’
The romance side of this book, though a nice sweet morsel isn’t the only action we see. Subterfuge and an attempted coup, and I can’t forget to mention the mysteries surround our complicated Lucas Newsome, or is it Winston? Everyone has history but what if your history is completely different to the way you were raised to believe? What if your parents push and push and push you until you can’t take it anymore, and for what? So they can make you toe the line.
Pushed to the brink of desperation anyone is capable of almost anything and this book certainly throws a few curve balls. One particular curveball was so unprecedented it left this reviewer reeling. I never saw it coming and I pride myself on seeing outside the box when it comes to the books I consume. I’m sure this earthquake will be felt for a good long time. It was brilliantly orchestrated and flowed like the perfect sonnet. For that alone, I doff my hat to Ms. Malone. Marvelously done Madam author, bloomin’ brilliant, if you ask me. You wicked, evil writer you. Bravo!!!
I couldn't wait to get my hands on Bastard Prince, the second I finished Royal Bastard. Nana Malone has a way with words and she left us with a HUGE cliffhanger. But luckily it was too long to wait for this book. I love Sebastian, but for some reason I'm more drawn to Lucas. I think its the bad boy vibe he has going on. We find out some more about his childhood and its terrible what he has been through. He's a man that just wants a family. His childhood still effects his adulthood and the decisions he makes in his life. Which in the end can hurt the ones he loves. Bryana is such a strong female character and you see that shine through in this book. She hasn't exactly had a bad childhood but he parents are very controlling and manipulative even though shes an adult. I was a bit disappointed that we didn't get as much of Lucas and Bryanas story as I would of liked. In this book we had Sebastian's, Penny's, Bryanas and Lucas' POV which deverted from them getting together. I understand why it was done, we needed their POVs to move the story along and to see what else was happening with other plots. I can't say that I didn't like having Penny and Sebastians POVs though because I love them both and it was nice to have a catch up with them. I feel like we have a lot more to learn when it comes to the side plots (the missing sister etc) and I'm hoping we get all our answers in Jessas Duet. Which I'm really looking forward to because I love Roone! There was a few twists and turns thrown in that I didn't see coming, and I was shocked. But you have to expect the unexpected. If you haven't read Sebastian and Penny's story, I highly recommend you do. You get to experience their sexy love affair starting. Nana Malone is a fantastic writer, her writing is beautiful and she knows how to get you hooked on a story!
This is book two in the Royals Undone Duet and I was happy to be back in the world of Lucas and Bryna, not to mention Sebastian and Penny (even though I have not read their books). I was excited that the book picked up right where the first one ended and took us on an exciting journey. Nana Malone did an amazing job weaving the storylines together and keeping you on your toes about where the story will go next.
This story is told in multiple POVs. I’m torn a little here because I really wanted more Lucas and Bryna, I don’t want to spoil the story but I really wanted more of them trying to come together. Don’t get me wrong, I liked the “Sebastian and Penny” parts but I wasn’t as into their story but as I mentioned, I haven’t read their story yet. I liked them and loved their chemistry but I just wanted more Lucas and Bryna.
I love Lucas but man, did I want to punch him at times. I get it, growing up the way he did I’m sure it’s hard to believe and trust in other people but when it came down to it, he didn’t trust that he was enough. And don’t get me started on Bryna… man, these two characters were stubborn and hard headed. I was frustrated with her, I kept wanting to ask her what her problem was! Thank God for her best friend talking some sense into. I loved the chemistry between Lucas and Bryna. It was off the charts hot.
I’m intrigued where the storyline will continue with the Princess books coming out next and can’t wait to read more about the conclusion of the Royals.
This book has everything! Royal intrigue, threats from his shady past, and the truth about family. Lucas tries to protect Bryna from himself and his past, leaving Bryna no choice but to move on. Or at least try to. I loved the emotional honesty in their relationship - even though their chemistry was all-consuming, it didn't solve their deeper problems of trust and communication.
I really enjoyed the use of alternating POV, and including quite a few chapters from Sebastian's and Penny's POV was brilliantly executed and added such depth and span to this story that took it well beyond a simple romance. The secondary characters are so much fun, and the surprise twist was neatly done. The HEA was so heartwarming, highlighting not just the solid future for Lucas and Bryna but for the entire family and how they fit into it.
I absolutely love all the books in this world, and am especially looking forward to the continuation of this story as they track down the missing sister. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
OMG I have SUCH a book hangover from this one! It took me all night to be able to take a deep breath and come to terms with the fact that its over lol. I'm such a sucker for a former bad boy, especially if we get to see the way he redeems himself like we did with Lucas. Lucas and Bryna definitely went through their fair share of issues, but it for sure led to a really solid foundation that makes you just know in your heart these two are completely 'it' for each other forever. It was such a twisted journey, lots of intrigue and surprise twists just everything you need to make a suspenseful, hot, totally balanced, perfectly well rounded story. Also, so deliciously steamy... The story of King Cassius' children so far have been great, I can't wait for Jessa's story! Give yourself uninterrupted reading time for this one, you won't be able to stop turning the pages until you reach the end! This book is easily a contender for one of the top three of the year for me, I just absolutely loved it!
I've enjoyed this duet by Nana Malone. This is the first ones I've read by her. While I did enjoy reading them, I wasn't wow'd. This particular one left me wanting more but in the way it should. The story had so much in it of a previous couple that we did not get to see the path to Lucas and Bryna's reunion, well not enough anyways. That's the good stuff in a story. That's the stuff that heals your heart and leaves you wanting more in the way it should. We don't get to share that with them because a lot of this book is another couple's story that already got their time to shine. I do like seeing previous characters come back for cameos or to help move the current couples story along. I don't like to see them take over their book though. This is the reason I can't rate it any higher than 3 stars.
Bastard Prince concludes Lucas and Brenna's story. For her own safety, Lucas disappears and is trying to clear up his past, and trap his thieving step-father. Lucas gets the answers he needs about his family, and Sebastian and Penny are right there with him when the results are revealed.
Bryna isn't so quick to forgive. She's pissed at being ditched (and rightly so!), and makes Lucas work for her. And WORK he does!! Whoo -- he's got some hotness and dirty talkin' going on!
The story concludes as you would expect it to, no surprises with the story, except that the third sibling is found! No spoilers, but it's the next duet in this series and I. Cannot. Wait! I expect one Roone, bodyguard badass, to be guarding her body ifyouknowwhatImean!
Awww poor Lucas! After that intense cliffhanger ending from the first novel, I wasn't exactly sure how this story would play out. The author doesn't disappoint! There is take and give, with a whole lot of anguish for Bryna. She is devastated after discovering Lucas left. It breaks your heart. Lucas struggles with so many demons from his past. He finally and fully understands just how far everyone will go for him. It's not all romance for Bryna and Lucas. The mystery surrounding the death of the King and all the conspiracy, will have you completely dumbfounded. It's not who and where you expect. Sold storylines with crazy, intense plot, have you not putting this down until the final epilogue plays out...
The end of Lucas’ story is going to having you wanting more! 5 Nana’s Amazing Stars! Ashley @ Carolina Chic’s Read
When we were left in the first part of the duet you did not know if Lucas was really going to be the prince they all thought he was! The story gets better and better in the second part! Bryna is still finding herself and falling harder than she thought was possible! Loved how Nana included characters from the first duet in the Prince Series and keeps us asking questions! And in the end we get a teaser to the Princess and who will be her prince! I cannot wait for Roone and Jessa’s story!
Continued story of Lucas and Bryna. Hold on for the ride because it is an I interesting one. Well written enjoyable gripping from beginning to end. I loved these two and how they fight each other but know that at the end of the day they belong together. I love how he is willing to do anything for her no matter what it is. This was just a great story line. Some twists and turns but that made this book even better. Love this series.Great book to read highly recommend.
I love it, I love it!💞 I wanted to strangle Lucas mother hurting him like that. What made Tressel think that his misdeeds would go unnoticed? He is a total wanker. What made him think that Bryna would fold for him? Penny is still my shero. It was good catching up with Sebastian and Penny. Enjoyed the outcome to stupid Tony. Lucas is not to be fooled with when it comes to his girl.
You must read Royal Bastard first. Because, one, it is necessary to the story. And two, it is just awesome. Bastard Prince is the continuing story of Lucas and Bryna. Great book. I loved it.
After reading Royals Undercover; Cheeky Prince, Cheeky Royal and Cheeky King I knew that Lucas’s story would be a great read, and I definitely wasn’t disappointed...what a rollercoaster ride and WoW what an unexpected twist at the end...🙈
Bastard Prince leaves off right where Royal Bastard ends. I love Bryna and Lucas together. I'm excited to see what Nana has up her sleeves with the Princess books coming out next.
This book was everything. This is the continuation of Lucas and Bryna’s relationship, for lack of a better word. It includes so much more. This book has readers on a emotional rollercoaster with so much action, intrigue and of course, sexiness. There were some bombshells dropped at the end of Royal Bastard that had me needing more. This book put a lot of things to rest but opened up a few more doors as well. This book is very well written and you get the point of view from several of your favorite characters in this series.
Oh and did I forget the sexy men of Blake Security are all up and though this one. They seem to make everything better. It seems Everything she touches is hot like fire. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
Kobo+. Contemporary Romance Series Challenge 2024. Tropes: Royalty, RomCom, Romance/Mystery, Family/Friends, Erotica. MC's h Lady Bryna Tressel, Lucas's love & H Lucas Newsome Winston, bastard Prince (King Sebastian)
The second half of the Romance Story of Lucas and Bryna. There are chapters of Sebastian and Penny too. This series is like a family saga. There is no separation in the stories. They all run together. You really need to read the whole series in order. All cliffhangers until the end. I am giving this 3 stars. I really like the story and all the characters but because the stories aren't clearly defined I give it 3 out of 5.

Five crowned stars! This book is heavenly & awesome. It is a sinful knockout!
For love’s sake! Nana Malone has ruined me badly. How am I supposed to recover after reading such a Royal masterpiece as Bastard Prince? I was intensely hooked from the first page to the last one. After reading Royal Bastard Lucas won my heart and I couldn’t wait to read the following book in the duet. I was too desperate because I knew it will be unforgettable and worth of my time. Nana’s writing is explosive, mind-bending and highly addictive. Her talent is incredible. There is something magical in her writing that catches you and moves your world in a unique and special way.
Bastard Prince is a mischievous chef-d'œuvre that has the right amount of suspense, drama, sizzling love and smoking hot lust. The pacing is fast and the plot caries on with intriguing storytelling and ardent love developed in the Royal World. The originality is printed in the pages of this book. The narrative holds the reader breathless, we hold our breath wondering how all this will end ... And at the same time, we do not want the story to end because the characters are unforgettable.
Who does not want a bad boy with a noble heart?
Lucas is our boy ladies! Because it is a delight to watch a bad boy falls in love because they tend to fall really hard. When they met their equal it is like the fireworks of July 4th; intense and steamy. Lucas is a whole new royal too cheeky and hot. He will turn upside down the conventional.
In Royal Bastard he went from being a conman to a bastard Prince but that will change in this book. He will go from being a bastard Prince to a pauper. He will be on the verge of losing what he had wanted so much; the family he never had and the love of a strong and independent woman. His world is about to collapse, but before it falls; he will do everything in his power to give a spoonful of its own medicine to anyone who threatens to take what he cares and loves. His cunning and charisma are lethal weapons that will help him conquer his demons.
Sacrificing his love will make him fight hard since at the end of the path, a strong and independent woman is waiting for him. Lucas claimed he is not a good man but he has a big heart. He is loyal and his protectiveness level makes him incredibly hot.
And for a strong and complex man like Lucas, there is a sassy and independent woman like Bryna. She is exactly the type of heroine that can fight her own battles. Her kind soul won Lucas’s heart. Walking away from him is not an option. No matter that he left her like a thief in the dark. From the beginning he warned her but her heart was not longer hers. The flourished love between them was deeper and it doesn’t just stop. He owned her as she owned him.
You will find a thrilling, engaging and so captivating story between the pages of this book. Let yourself be surprised by this story that has nothing in common and that could surprise you in the best way possible. I undoubtedly recommend you this book.
Bryna and Lucas’s story is a slow burn romance that made me want to stay wrapped in their world forever. Twists, betrayal, suspense, conspiracy, love, hot scenes, fears ... There is everything in this book.
Oh. My. Jesus. This story line is seriously so freaking good. Royals? Check. Liars with pants on fire? Check. Angst? Check. You see where I'm going with this. I'm pretty sure this Royals Undone series is going bring me to my knees. Seriously. I'm not sure if I can wait for book 3. I may have to beg, plead and become incredibly annoying to get the next one in my hands ASAP.
Story Line: Lucas (which is my son's name so I was worried it would be weird to read a story where the hero has the same name, but crisis averted. All good) Anywho, last time we saw Lucas his world pretty much shattered. Poor guy. But what does he do when the going gets bad? Oh you know, just CLIMBS OUT A DANG WINDOW. UGH. That was so freaking frustrating to read because I'm definitely team Lucas and Bryna. But alas, N.M. has to put my heart and lungs through a meat grinder before spitting them out, only to put them through the noodle maker next. Not sure why I chose those random kitchen appliances, but let's just go with it. I guess what I'm trying to say is prepare yourself for literally all the feelings. Lucas is so hot. He and Bryna together? Even hotter. But they have a lot of crap to work through. You're going to wonder if they will be able to make it work or if it's worth it at times. But I'm a total sap, so of course love makes it so, so worth it.
Interaction: Lucas's world has been turned upside down. He learned he was a prince, then had that rug ripped out from underneath him. Then more craptasticness is thrown at him so he bolts. He thinks he's protecting the ones he loves, and that honestly may be the case. But no one loves the runner. Well, okay, Bryna might but she's the strongest fictional woman ever. Seriously she has a heart of gold and nerves of steel. If my hubby pulled half the stuff Lucas did? I don't know how much I could take in all honesty. She's a total bad arse.
Laundry: Alright, y'all. Brace yourselves. Yes, there's laundry so don't go writing to Dear Abby over it. But it's a taste of the naughty laundry we all know and love that can only be written by her highness N.M. I wanted so much more dirty laundry from this couple. But I get why we didn't get more. I do. I totally love the story line and know why the focus wasn't on the romps in the hay. But that doesn't mean I didn't crave more.
Depth: The Royals story line brings so much complexity to the table. Zero exaggeration folks. There's betrayal, angst, protection, alpha men and lots of action. This story will not leave you bored, that's for sure. Make sure you read book 1 first, then dive into this book with a stiff drink, pretzels and about 4 hours with nothing to do. Why four hours? Because I promise you, once you start this story, you are not going to be able to put it down. And once you're done? Be prepared to stand in line behind me waiting for book 3.
Bastard Prince picks up right where Royal Bastard left off. Right after Lucas' mother dropped a bombshell on him, informing him that he was not a prince, Lucas had a decision to make; stay with Bryna who was still warming his bed or leave, as his mother suggested, before his stepfather could ruin his life once more.
Lucas easily dons his old skin, the con man who runs away from danger, and leaves not only Bryna behind, but everything royal. Causing turmoil in the kingdom as the "Lost Prince" is now lost once again.
The story takes on multiple POV's involving Sebastian and Penny from the first duet, who are now King and Queen of the Winston Isles, along with Bryna and Lucas.
Even after Lucas disappeared, Bryna did her best to pick up the pieces of her heart and move on with her life. It wasn't easy to forget the man and even more difficult when the king and queen asked for her help in bringing him home. She wanted to say no, keep her heart safe and protected, but how do you reject a request from the king?
Lucas thought he was doing what was right, vanishing so he could protect those he loved, while at the same time trying to destroy the man who ruined his childhood and was seeking to destroy his future. What Lucas didn't realize was that in leaving he may have ruined what future he could have had and there may be no rectifying it when he does return.
Prince or pauper, does it really matter when you love someone? What lengths would you go to to show someone you love them?
Bastard Prince was fast paced and extremely juicy. I adored the growth that Lucas has shown from the very first novel of Cheeky Royal through this one. Both Lucas and Sebastian have matured quite a bit from the beginning and I love how passionate they are about their women.
If you haven't ready Royal Bastard yet, do so before you read Bastard Prince. These books go hand-in-hand. The next duet will be about the lost princess. So hold on to your crowns because more conspiracy, more passion, and more updates will be coming your way form Nana Malone.

Forgiving someone and giving them a second chance adds so much more tension and emotion to a read. Love scenes were hard impacting, edgy and used in all the best ways.

5 Bastardly Stars Review by Amy W. Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog
Nana Malone has me hooked on her words and characters! Bastard Prince is the second half of Lucas and Bryna's story and one I was impatiently awaiting.
"I love you more than I have ever deserved to love someone."
We pick the story up right where it left off, with Lucas learning a 'truth' from his con artist mother. His actions following her declaration spur most of the storyline throughout the book. This is book two and book one needs to be read first to get the most out of the story.
Unable to look away, I knew I would never be able to get her out of my blood. She would own my heart forever. Not smart, but like I gave a fuck.
Lucas and Bryna's love was put to the test, along with other relationships. I really enjoyed reading from the other various POVs and it helped to give a better understanding to events as they happened. But I did not see that betrayal coming, or more I did not see it coming from who it did. I was side swiped and left stunned.
My stupid heart fluttered. Like a sappy girl who'd dreamt of Prince Charming. But Lucas was so much better than any Prince Charming. He was real... dirtier too.
This duet was my first by Nana and like I said before I am now a forever fan, possibly a stalker. I love these characters and the way they interact with each other. The love and friendship that they hold for one another is commendable and I cannot wait for more. So happy that Roone is getting a story next. I think I fell in love with that brute while he guarded Lucas!
