So terrible!
This was one of the worst Until books I've ever read. I couldn't relate to either characters. After they took forever being friends, their transition to lovers was so awkward! The whole dirty-talking thing that Tom Franklin (terrible name!) and Millicent Merriweather (seriously!?!?) do. He calls her his own personal sl*t and then later she says she wants a sl*t f*ck. The whole story was so awkward that I was cringing the entire time. I'm not sure how I managed to endure the book.

A fantastic read that had me cheering for our two leads Tom and Merri.
These two are friends, best friends. Their parents are close so they’d always been around each other for family gatherings.
Merri secretly crushed on Tom. He had no clue. Major in two big factors. First it was an age thing and then the fact that Tom was seeing Merri’s big sisters best friend who he eventually married.
Then that day in September, that rocked the world saw Toms patriotic side come to the surface and he was enlisting without a second thought. Nine years in the service and through it all Merri and Tom were pen pals. Light stuff, from home and what’s going on. When his marriage fell apart while serving it was her letters that kept him going.
Fast forward to the present and Tom is firmly in the friend zone. His friendship with Merri has grown over the years and both their feelings have changed. But both are clueless as to how the other feels. And foremost in their minds is what if they take this leap and it all goes south?
But sometimes you have to grow a pair and man up. And with Tom taking the lead you’re going to have no worries at all.
A read that slides effortlessly into the Until World.

This was such a fun read. Best friends to lovers with the added bonus of him being a fantastic dirty talker. It’s easy, it’s a little dirty and I really enjoyed it.

OMG! I am EXTREMELY in love with Merri and Tom's story!!! I legit smiled so much while reading this one, my face muscles are hurting!!!
Until Merri is a best friends to lovers romance. It also may just be my favorite read of the week! I love the sweetness that tends to come alone with this trope. There is something innocent although also dirty about puppy love developing into first love. And Tom has always been Merri's first love. There's never been anyone else even given the slight age difference between the two.
Tom and Merri have been best friends for a long time. She was the only one openly on his side when he went through a messy divorce. He was the one who offered a shoulder when Merri ended her engagement. Secretly both have been attracted to each other and wanted more since the beginning. But both were scared of the negative outcome if things should end badly. Now with fear completely off the table Tom and Merri are ready to jump.
This was such a sweet read. I know I keep saying this but I just can't get this one out of my head. I loved the innocence, the hilarity, and the closeness between Merri and Tom. These two are a matchmade in literary heaven! I also loved the fact that Tom is a supernerd! I may even have developed a small crush on him.
If you're looking for a sweet and sometimes sassy romance definitely pick this one up. You won't be sorry!

Sometimes everlasting love is right in front of you where you least expect to find it. This is definitely true for Tom and Merri. Having been friends since their youth neither really thought love would find them despite their secret yearnings for one another. Is it possible to go from friends to lovers and not risk a friendship years long in the making? Both Tom and Merri are ready to exit the ‘friend zone’ and are ready to explore a new relationship with one another and take things to the next level. If you like witty banter, flirtatious shenanigans, friends-to-lovers romance, sexy moments, likable characters, humor, and happily ever after then I highly recommend this book.

Tom and Merri (Millicent) have been best friends in love with each other for years when Tom finally can't stand it any longer and asks her out. He has the grand idea to go kind of slow and date her and make everything memorable, but after their first date, they can't keep their hands off each other and they take a very fast trip to more than friends with a side of kink. Yep.
Until Merri is short and sweet, but it didn't totally work for me. The transition from friends to lovers was a bit awkward and their sex scene didn't generate anything but cringing in me. I appreciated their comfort with each other, though, and I love how much they obviously loved each other, both as friends, and as more, so 3.5 stars is fair.

I was pulled right into this super short story. The story has naughty fun, passion, and hot steamy love.

Then Tom enlisted and through nine years in service they were pen pals. When he's marriage to her sister fell apart it was Merri's letters that kept him going.
Now Tom is home but he and Merri are just friends. Now both of them are in love with the other but they don't know it. And what If they decide to get together and it all falls apart.
But sometimes you just have to take the leap and let date decide the rest☺️
Lots of laughter back and forth banter and amazing characters that will have you fall in love from the start to finish❤️

This fun and lovable read telling the story of Tom and Merri from friends to lovers is so heart warming. The two best friends hold nothing back from each other, never cutting either one any slack. What comes up comes out! Totally love the honesty and love they have for each other. When they finally cross the line from friends to lovers, it is SMOKING! The friends and family cheering them on are a hoot too! Quick read, will not be disappointed like always with a Suzanne Halliday book!!!

I love Aurora Rose Reynolds world of the Until series. So when I knew new authors were joining her world and Suzanne was one of them I was excited to read this. As her style is unique and oftentimes snarky I knew we’d be in for a treat. I wasn’t disappointed. It was trademark Ms Halliday through and through. Witty, snarky, and full of love. Loved seeing glimpses of favourites from ARR world. Great book loved it!

This was a very cute friends to lovers romance. It seemed like once both decided they would date that was it. I liked that Tom wanted to make their first date special and how as the time got closer to the date things seemed to amp up. The date was going to be the be all, end all of all dates and would start their relationship off on a bang.

In this case, the contents of the book were different from the description. While the blurb sounds like Merri is going after Tom, he actually realizes how much he cares for her fairly early on and pursues her. I think the plot in the blurb might have been more interesting, but overall, this is a nicely written standard romance novella.

I would have given it a 4 star rating because I liked it and the sex scene was great BUT there was no boom. This was a friends to lovers slow burn relationship. I thought the main factor in all these books were the boom factor.

OMG Suzanne Halliday outdid herself with this book. I love her wordsmithing... you'll know what I mean when you get to those parts. I almost peed myself laughing while reading this book so be warned. Until Merri is a laugh out loud HEA of friends to lovers and I want more.

In a hilarious way of doing it it set the way for a beautifully funny at ease relationship. He's allowed to be the Alpha that's he wants to be to take care of Merri and she let him and only him be the caveman.
These two are so funny together and apart.

Story Line: Who doesn't love a best friends to lovers romance? Seriously. All the angst, tension, hilariously awkward moments and everything in between? Give me all the bff romances and I will be a happy mama. Merri and Tom have been best friends forever. Their families run in the same circles so to say they're close, is quite the understatement. Tom has had a rough go of things, and that's putting it mildly. But who is the light in the darkness? Merri. Sweet, funny and a little bit sassy Merri. Their journey to HEA doesn't cut right to the chase, which leaves time for these two to finally wrap their heads around throwing caution to the wind and taking a chance.
Interaction: One of the main reasons I love best friends to lovers romances is because the conversations are seamless. There's no awkward first dates or weird conversations. Well, that was until I read Tom and Merri's story. These two are downright funny. And that may seem weird in a romance, but it truly works for these two. Their chemistry is undeniable. Their HEA is just right outside their grasp for so long. But when they finally say screw it, and take that leap of faith? Utter perfection.
Laundry: As much as I wanted these two to get to the good stuff right away, this is a bit of a slow burn. But that's okay. It honestly and truly works for them. And SH knows how to write some steamy laundry, if you know what I mean. Seriously, I'm still fanning myself over here.
Depth: If you think because Tom and Merri are friends that everything is going to be rainbows and unicorns along the way, you've got another thing coming. Seriously. Taking that step from the friend zone to the lover zone is HUGE! But I loved reading how these two fought past their hang ups to get to accept the inevitable. I think they know where they will ultimately end up, but making the conscious decision to make you best friend your forever lover too? That's an enormous chance to take. But thank the heavens, they did. And it was spectacular.

Merri has been in love with her best friend for years. She stood by his side when he enlisted in the Army, through his horrible marriage to someone else and the divorce that followed. But the two have been in a friend zone for so long, that Merri has no clue how to even approach something more. What she doesn't realize is that Tom has the same feelings for her, the same hate of the friend zone they are in and wanting more. When he finally gets up the nerve and asks her on a real date, Merri is unsure what this means, on one hand this is what she always wanted but what happens if they don't work out as a couple, will they lose their friendship? Will they both give something more a shot or are they better off as besties?
What a cute and quirky book. Merri was actually quite a character and some of her antics had me laughing. I will say, I hated how slow this went, I felt like I waited forever for them to move to the next step, and I almost didn't care anymore when they finally did. BUT OMG when they finally got there Tom shocked the H - E - double hockey sticks out of me! Talk about a one-eighty, I did not see Tom having that in him. It was almost as if he was a different character all together, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde style. I can say that if Suzanne Halliday writes scenes like that, I will be checking her other stuff out. I give this 4 stars.

Another amazing book by Suzanne Halliday!
Merri and Tom have known each other and their families since they were young. Merri had a crush on Tom since she was a pre-teen, he was a bit older. After 9/11 Tom joined the military and served many years. They went on their own paths for a while but kept in contact while he was in the military. Tom had married his high school girlfriend which ended horribly. Merri was engaged with a jerk and she finally dumped him. They both regretted those relationships and were leery to date. They reconnected and were great friends, but they both started to have feelings toward one another. Tom finally decided to ask Merri to an award party for his dad. Merri accepted. They both were worried that if dating didn’t work out, they may lose their friendship. But, how do you not try? As Tom said, he could just stay in the friend zone and watch her meet someone else. He would lose then as well. Why not take a chance? Once they took the leap, things heat up! I loved how comfortable they were with each other, their slinging snark was in amazing Suzanne fashion 😁 they truly were meant for each other!
If you want a sweet, funny, snarky, happy read, don’t wait. I will always buy a book from Suzanne Halliday 😊

When true feelings are finally revealed that’s when things really start to heat up.
An enjoyable read filled with sweetness and humour, creating many laugh out loud moments. A bit of a slow burn then BOOM, we get some seriously hot, steamy action which will get you hot under the collar and your kindle melting.
This was the first book I’ve read by this particular author and I’m impressed with her style of writing, I’ll definitely be looking up her other releases.

A fabulous friends to lovers story that creates amazing chemistry between 2 long time friends.
Merri and Tom always had a close bond there brutally honest with each other about everything apart from there feelings for each other!
Merri feel in love with her sisters boyfriend in high school and over the years her crush lead to friendship but she just didn’t want to cross that line and lose the one person who meant the world to her.
Tom already has one failed marriage to his high school girlfriend under his belt his years of service have left him with great skills he has used to build his own business life is pretty perfect apart from the little issue, the one girl he wants is his best friend, how can he risk that friendship without loosing her.
This book started off sweet and loving and ended hot and steamy, a quick hot shower was needed to calm my raving heart but I loved every second of it.
An amazing addition to the Happily Ever Alpha series and a prefect fit with the geeky alpha and sassy female lead characters! Suzanne is a new to me author I will definitely be following from now on.
