DNF at 57% 3 stars… honestly, it’s probably closer to 2,75 but I am rounding up :) this book had a promising start but unfortunately the further I got into it, the more ridiculous it got… the writing style was ok, and I would be willing to give this author another shot in the future, but this particular one just wasn’t for me… the main couple got together way too fast for my liking… and I know it’s because of my personal preferences that I feel that way and for some of you it won’t be an issue :) but I just felt like it was too rushed with basically no development at all… I do know they have known each other for a while and have some sort of past, but still… she’s his best friend’s little sister and he did lived with them for a while but they never had any romantic thing going on and the way it goes from zero to disappearing panties in a hot second is just too fast for me… so even though the rest of the book would probably took me around an hour and a half to finish and I could have done it, I just didn’t want to waste more of my time on it… I’m off to read something better, but if this one sounds like something you might enjoy, then be sure to give it a try, who knows, maybe it will be a winner for you :)

HOLY SWEET BABY JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!! What did I just read. OMG I loved this story so much. First if you know me I love Motorcycles and the men who ride them. I was so excited to find out that Ilsa was writing this book I stalked her and could not wait for this one to come out. So when I had a chance to read an early copy I was SUPER EXCITED like so girl fanning was what I was doing and you know what I got one hell of a story and so much more.
Aiden oh lord Aiden what can I say about him........ he is so much wrapped into this gorgeous package. He is smart, funny, loyal, talented, driven the list could go on but one thing he is good at is being a lover. He has always liked his best friends little sister but she is off limits and she is still young. After leaving to go on the road and race he comes back a different man but he is still determined to get his girl Hailey.
Hailey I loved her she is fierce, loyal, and strong. She stands by her family and she is very loyal to them. But when she sees Aiden again after him being gone for years she knows what she wants and she is willing to go after it and she does. But life being life some things try and come between them and they are going to have to fight like hell to be together.
Aidens past comes back to try and ruin everything but he is determined to get what he wants and he never loses. He will stop at nothing to have his girl Hailey by his side and finally claiming her as his.

I like the beginning of this book where Aiden and Hailey met again in the diner. For me it was a promising story. I was expecting sassy, smart mouth heroine and brooding hero.
Then after that, it went downhill then flat. Not much character develop anymore between Aiden and Hailey. Hailey turns out to be annoying bitch who screams a lot when throwing a tantrum.
Aiden becomes very pathetic hero. Cheesy and no back bone. Not my type. The story also becomes too predictable and with min angst, it becomes flat really fast.
Overal i give this 3 stars for the sweet meet cute between Hailey and Aiden on the first part of the book.

Rebel Rider by Ilsa Ames is the story of Aiden Rush and Hailey Prescot.
Aiden left town to become a successful motorcycle racer but now after a incident he is back. But when he left Hailey was a forbidden fruit being his friends little sister and of course her age. Now she is older and has grown into someone he can't turn away from. But his past isn't letting things go so easy. This was a great read by Ms. Ames....will be looking for more books by this author.

I've read a number of books with this kind of a theme; hero has the hots for his best friends younger sister but it's against the Bro Code to do anything about it, but then hero and heroine can't stop themselves. As one who made up an older brother when I was young - seriously I did and many believed me - one of the reasons was so the imaginary friends of my imaginary older brother could fall for me - I like this kind of storyline when done well. And for me it's hard not to do it well.
Aiden was best friends with Hailey's brother growing up - see above paragraph - and she always had a mad crush on him. But he left to become a hot item on the professional motorcycle riding circuit and she could only follow him through news articles. But when he gets into a fight with another motorcycle rider, he is bared from racing and comes back to his home town and Hailey thinks she finally has a chance with him.
Now that she's all grown up, Aiden sees her in a whole new light and it isn't long before he's again racing - but in a different way altogether if you get my drift.
This is another new to me author and another who I want to read more of and I was impress with this book and it's another I've no problem recommending.

Yummy is all I can say
This is the first book I've read by this author and all I can say is wow! This book had me swooning the moment I opened it up. The tension between the characters is definitely off the charts hot. The interruptions was nerve wrecking, but once the feed was done I was highly satisfied 😌

Another great story from Ilsa ,this time a friends to lovers, little sister best friend ,second chance at love on a teenage crush,yeah I know it seems to much but it really fits all the above and it's a beautiful story that will keep you wanting to know more.
As Hailey turns eighteen,one night watching movies with her brothers best friend Aiden,she sets her mind to finally give in the crush she had for years but a phone call destroys all her planes and Aiden goes to pursued his big dream of becoming the champion in moto races and almost forgets about her as he is aiming for fame,money and just to get out of that small town in look for a better life after he lost his own family as well.Over the years he becomes the champion and due to an altercation with one of the other player he has to give up his career and goes back to the only place taht he has ever called home and opens a moto repair garage . After loosing her mother,Hailey has to give up college and take care of her ailing father and takes a job as a waitress,but as soon she knows that Aiden is back she gets a job in his business and of course they give in the insta lust love and sexy scenes .A fast pace read where the past and other obstacles appear just to be prove to Aiden that he always wanted Hailey and won't give her up no matter what happens.

The first thing that caught my attention about this book is the storyline being about the male cahgarcetrs of the story falling for his best friends little sister and I knew instantly that this would be an enjoyable story that would take me on a ride just as the name of the story suggests. I loved the way that the feelings for the characters carried on throughout the years despite not seeing each other for years. I find this to be incredibly endearing in a romance novel and shows that the feelings that the characters have are genuine.
Aiden was the hot rider that had a passion for motorcycles and riding them. I loved the way that the author wrote this character and the way that he felt when riding his motorcycle. I adored the way he cared for Hailey especially when there was trouble happening. I really loved Aiden and I could not get enough of him.
Hailey was a feisty femake character that really stood by Aiden during his life and when he made some really important choices in his life. I loved the way that she didn’t back down when things got tough and how she helped her Dad despite putting her own life on hold. I didn’t expect to like this book but found I really did. It had all the necessary ingredients. A hot,handsome as sin hero. A beautiful girl, he feels is off limits, plus too young.He leaves her behind to pursue his other passion, motorcycle racing. At which he’s really good and over time becomes “ the champ” the highest paid racer on the circuit. The one everybody loves. The girls, the fans and most of the other racers. But one jealous racer, backed by Daddy’s money and goaded by the jealously manages to get him banned from racing for life. He returns home. Six years have gone by, the girl is older but still his best friend’s little sister. However,he pursues her in some very steamy love scenes. Opens a business and employs her. Business is going great,enter some VERY bad guys.
There were some plot lines I felt were a little too contrived at times. The best friend, really essential to the storyline
line that I felt needed to be “fleshed out” but over all this is a really good read.

This was a steamy, fast moving romance and it had a number of my favorite elements. Some of the plot points were a bit too convenient for me to really love them, but overall they worked for the story. Since older brother Luke is such a lynchpin element to the story I thought it odd how small his part was, but again, it works regardless.
Aiden and Hailey are a great pair, and this is one of those couples that you know just had to wait for the right time to come together, but there's a big amount of knowing that they would have worked even years ago had they gotten their shot.
Drama, angst, lots of steamy reunion romance. Worth a read if you like any or all of these things!

Aiden is friends with Hailey's brother Luke. After a tragic accident killed his parents he ended up living with Hailey's family. Hailey always had a crush on Aiden but it was forbidden. Six years later Aiden is a success on the bike riding circuit. Hailey is still in the same small town taking care of her father. Aiden never forgot Hailey, she was too young for him and his friends sister. These two were pure heat when they finally came together and admitted their feelings for each other. This was a great read that I recommend.

Aiden is good at what he does and he knows it but loser Jackson ruins it all with his mouth. Aiden ends up back home and he realizes the onky thing he loves more than racing is Hailey but he still misses racing. Y'all these two have some ups, downs and drama but it makes for a fun read I read in one sitting. Hailey does not take Aiden's crap either and keeps him on his toes. I really enjoyed this book.

So there were quite a few times I couldn't help rolling my eyes.... but I also read the whole thing in one sitting.
I will say that if you're someone who can't stand the 'miscommunication' trope then you may find it frustrating. But the romance was cute and not too drawn out, which worked well with the 'second chance' context.
Having said all that, I intend on checking out other novels by the same author :)

Could have been more developed
I thought the book was good do not get me wrong. I just felt like it could have been developed a little more. I felt like everything came really easy for the main characters. Them getting together there was never any hurdles or build up, all the issues they had were solved easily. The overall concept was well thought out I would have just liked more angst.

Ok read for me
Warning there are a lot of typos so a little frustrating to read at times. Even a character’s name didn’t stay consistent throughout. Also, I kept thinking something more was going to happen at the end certain scenes but they fell flat often. But otherwise the story was interesting.

3.5⭐️ I enjoyed this one! I love a good biker romance and although this one didn’t have a ton of actual biker action involved since he was removed from the circuit in the beginning, I did enjoy the plot overall. This was pretty spicy as well! I just didn’t feel the chemistry with the characters and they fell a bit flat for me

I love a book with witty banter, second chances and suspense. This was a great, quick read which had it all. Suspenseful and sexy with the right amount of drama making the hea satisfying.

I was really excited about this one and the first couple of chapters were pretty good. But then it was just drama for the sake of drama! The added MC in the book made no sense and made me very quickly lose interest!

I did the audiobook and I just dont like the girls male voice. It really turns me off on every book she reads.
It was an okay book. It has a story but its kinda just an easy read. Not asking for you to believe it and some crazy things happening.

Um this was a struggle
This was hard going, the story was dual POV but the author decided to repeat the same inconsequential scene twice which was annoying and seemed like chapter fillers

Ilsa has a great way of writing. She gives us detail along with all the fun stuff to Bring us a great story. This was well worth the read.

This book repeats a lot of the same info. Seems like the authors wrote it in a hurry and just rewrote what the other one wrote in the previous chapter. Couldn’t even finish the book.
