Until Twyla is by Ella Fox and is part of the Happily Ever Alpha World. This is very short, but it’s actually one of my favorite ones that I’ve recently read. I’m rating it four stars only because it was so short. It must be hard for an author to fit a whole story, including an epilogue, in so few pages but this author did a fantastic job with this book!
Twyla Penn is twenty two years old. After moving around with her parents her entire life, she wants to put down roots and Nashville, Tennessee is where she chose to do it. It’s her third day on the job waitressing at a bar. She likes the job but not so much the boss. But this night takes a down turn when she is attacked in the parking lot. Luckily, the hot cop she met earlier in the bar rescues her.
Jensen Reed is twenty nine years old and is a police officer. He always thought it was funny when his friends talked about “the boom.” When they each had experienced it when they met the loves of their lives. Well, it has hit him, the second he looked at the new waitress in the bar. “Boom!” Now it is his job to protect her, and luckily, he was doing just that when he was waiting for her to get off work and she was attacked.

I loved these two and I love The Boom! I loved the way Jensen just accepted it and knew that Twyla was his from that moment on. This is a sexy, swoony book that will only take a couple of hours to read but will leave you feeling all the warm and fuzzies. It was the perfect way to spend my evening.

I just adored Jensen and Twyla. They were both highly likable to me. Jensen was brave, sexy, protective and alpha. Twyla was a sweet, funny and brave heroine. I think they made a perfect fit and would have loved to have read even more about them.

I love any addition to the Until series they are always a joy to read and this one was super cute. I was actually quite upset this was a short read the story and writing were so good.
Twyla Penn is new in town and trying to make ends meet working at the local bar, things were going ok until her third night when she up ends a tray of drinks when a guy grabs her. And that’s when her eyes meet the hottest man of her life, she feels the boom down to her toes. But trying to keep her job she lets what happened go only for her night to go from bad to worse when she is held at gun point and a man in ski mask tries to abduct her will anyone be able to save her or is this the end for her?
Jensen never believed in the “Boom” but that was until he set eyes on Twyla he believes every legend he has ever heard and from that moment on he knows he will do anything to protect her and show her that she is and was always meant to be his. But she’s in danger will he be able to get to her in time or lose her before he ever had her?
Loved this story and also how John and Mallory make a cameo appearance. Yet another brilliant read from Ms Fox.

Awww… Ella Fox truly gives us the sweetest of BOOMS!
Until Twyla was such an amazing little read! Ms. Fox gave us everything in this small and beautifully wrapped package.
Talk about embracing fate, the BOOM! Jensen appeared in Twyla’s life exactly when she needed him the most. Poor Twyla had indeed been having the worst of luck, but it was all worth it, because with the bad came the good – or should I say great – in the form of her knight in shining armor, Jensen. Jensen Reed, like the true Alpha that he is, and as consequence of being on the Mayson fold, knows instantly how important Twyla is to him, and will fight with everything he has to show her what Fate had in store for them.
I absolutely adored this story! Ella Fox gave us a bit of everything in it: emotion, suspense and a LOT of love and passion (and even a couple of funny lighthearted moments). It was fantastic to see Nico and Leo, and specially John and Mallory – from Ella Fox’s first Happily Ever Alpha, Until Mallory – as well as meeting these new awesome secondary characters. Until Twyla by Ella Fox is the story of Jensen Reed and Twyla Penn. This book is part of the 'Happily Ever Alpha World' series which I haven't been able to read in order so for me they are standalone books.
Jensen is a cop who is out with friends when he catches his eye on Twyla...then 'Boom'. That 'Boom' that he has heard about when you meet the one you are to be with you feel a 'Boom'. Now he is out to protect Twyla for the rest of their lives.
If like me you like the hot alpha male character out to protect the heroine then this book and series is for you. I loved those type of stories and cannot get enough of them...so my goal is to read all books that come out in that series.

I’m going to be honest here...I have never read a single book from the UNTIL series by Aurora Rose Reynolds, but I loved the blurb on this one, and it’s Ella Fox...so...🤷🏼♀️
I would say this can absolutely be read as a stand-alone. I had no clue who a lot of the side characters were but it didn’t detract from my enjoyment of the story.
Jensen was the perfect Alpha and I adored how protective he was of Twyla from the moment he saw her. This is a true Insta-love story and their chemistry was insane! I can’t wait to read all the other books in this series.

Soooo....... this wasn’t good. It had the bones to be good but the writing was terrible. The sentences were either too simplistic or they ran on and on. The dialogue was unnatural and pretty limited. Most of this book was tell and not show with large portions devoted to summarizing the characters’ back stories instead of revealing information in organic ways like through conversations. The author would tell us about a conversation that happened in past tense instead of just allowing the story to play out and giving us that actual conversation in real time. Basic rules of creative writing and story telling were missed or perhaps not learned by the author. It says she’s some best selling author but I have no idea how that happened.
Again I always say this, but these short instalove novellas are very hard to get right, and inevitably the epilogue ends up doing all the heavy lifting as the real story of the couple get summarized there in two to three pages.
But seriously, I could not get over the bad writing to even start to enjoy this one.

I am loving these alpha books!!! My 2nd one from the 16 and this was pretty great and pretty fast pace.
Twyla has been having a rough night drunks and sleazy balls she's serving at the bar things get messy when a customer gets handys and mean and was saved by Jensen an off duty cop once that mess is sorta cleared up she again attacked in the parking lot and saved again by Jensen. Now jensen I love he was everything a book boyfriend should be and he felt that BOOM when he saw his lady love.. he wasn't to alphaish like toss her over his shoulder lol but i love their chemistry and the love he already had for her!!
Now why not a 5 star book.. wish it had tiny bit more smut.. (we only got one sex scene) so i was sad..
No cheating, no ow/om drama, drama, sexy time, slight secondary charas, celebite and no virgins
Recomend- yes

Just ok
The story was good, but very short so it was hard to feel for any of these characters. Even though it was short the author didn't do a great job with character development and the storyline and writing was just mediocre. Other authors can do so much within a few pages. Sadly, this author isn't one who can.

I adore all the words that Ella Fox writes and it feels like it's been a while since I've read her words. Well she's back, better than ever and nothing is quite better than getting all the words in ARR's brilliant world. Ella is known for wowing and amazing me but Until Twyla was everything I didn't know I needed in this BOOM world... Sexy. Sweet. Suspenseful. Intense. Steamy. A romance with two unforgettable characters you do not want to miss.
Twyla and Jensen lit up my kindle and warmed my frosty heart from the very first moment that they met y'all. These two had an instant connection, magnetic attraction, and undeniable pull to each other that neither can even begin to deny...
Jensen knows he's found his boom in this woman in front of him and he'll do anything to keep Twyla, especially now that he knows she's in danger.
Fall head over in heels in love as they take a chance on their very own once on a lifetime kind of BOOM and find forever can happen in just one single moment.

Twyla Penn started a new job and it has been dismal thus far, the cherry on the top is being mugged by a man in a ski mask. Jensen Reed clocked Twyla and has not been able to take his eyes off her. When he rescues her he doesn't plan to let her go. He always thought the BOOM was not for him but everything about Twyla is, can he keep her protected?
This was fun but would have liked it a bit longer. Sometimes these quickies are too rushed but overall I liked this story. Felt bad for Twyla, her boss was a jerk but really enjoyed Jensen. Entertaining read.

Until Twyla by Ella Fox was a sexy and sweet addition to the Happily Ever Alpha Kindle World. I really loved the way Twyla and Jensen's story was laid out. Girl meets boys, boy protects girl from a prick, Boy saves girl from an even bigger prick. Boy and girl live happily ever after.
Seriously, what girl doesn't love that kind of white knight type hero. As an added bonus, Give this hero an alpha-tude and you nearly have the perfect tale.

The only issue I had was the insta love.
There's insta love and then there's INSTALOVE. Jensen and Twyla's story started on a love at first sight kick. You can definitely feel the boom in this one. I just wish there would have been a tad bit more getting to know you time before Twyla was agreeing to stay over at Jensen's house. Come on girl, you were just nearly abducted and that same night, you decide to stay over at a man's house whom you don't even know.
Overall, I tend to have an issue with overly instalove novels. I find them unbelievable, but sometimes that can be a good thing while other times it turns out to be a not so good thing. However, I did really enjoy Twyla and Jensen's romance.

Fast paced instant chemistry. Twyla is a waitress at a bar. Her comes to her rescue not once but twice. Then offers to take care of her. This is a short fast paced novel of instant chemistry. Enjoyable from beginning to end.

I had forgotten how much I enjoy an Ella Fox Book. This was a fantastic BOOM Story. Jensen is a yummy, hot cop and Twyla is his forever. Such a fun story.

What do you get when you mix a damsel in distress with a hot cop? Wowza!! This one was insta-love at its best!! Romance, chivalry, suspense and danger were all wrapped up in this novella!!
Twyla Penn hates her job. She never should have taken this waitress job at this bar. Her boss is a jerk, and the rowdy bunch in her section are making her night miserable. When one of them gets a little too rough, the most beautiful stranger she's ever seen comes to her rescue -not once, but twice in the same night. If not for him, she probably wouldn't have seen tomorrow. Her cop in shining armor is everything she could ever dream of, and it seems he kind of likes her too. Some might say that they're moving too fast. But to her, they're moving at just the right speed -warp speed to the perfect future.

Until Twyla is a short insta-love story that is packed with heat. Jensen Reed is drawn to Twyla the moment he meets her in the bar she's working at. He helps her handle some nasty customers, and neither of them can deny the sparks that fly between them. When he rescues her from an attacker as she leaves work, he makes the decision right then, that he will never let her go. He convinces her that she needs to go home with him so he can take care of her as she heals. Their sizzle turns to flames once she is under his roof. Their BOOM cannot be denied and they get the HEA they were destined for.

Twyla works a job that has her hating her life but knows the money is there if she plays her cards just right. Until she is accosted while she is working with some douchebags who don’t know how to speak to a lady much less treat her right. After spilling some drinks and a guy standing up for her against said douchebags she wonders why she stays when the owner could care less what happens to the girls who work there.
After such a rough night there was one saving grace. There was a couple of guys there and one in particular that helped her out. She didn’t think she would see him again, but she was more than ready to go home and relax. She walks towards her car and then is attacked by someone with a gun. As she fights for her life she hears someone tell the person to drop the gun and back away from her. She doesn’t know who it is until finally she is able to look him in the eye. It’s the guy from the bar who helped her.
Jenson knew there was something special about Twyla as soon as he laid eyes on her. His buddies always said there was a boom once you meet the one your meant to be with. And they weren’t lying. Luckily he was at the right place at the right time to help Twyla when she needed him most. He just wasn’t expecting to fall in love so quickly.
I really enjoyed this story but was really hoping for more! I didn’t want this to end and when I got to the prologue I was really hoping there would be more of how things progressed but was a little let down. But that didn’t stop me from devouring this story!

Twyla is having the worst night of her life. With her new job she has to wear heels and in the beginning it was fine, but being on your feet for hours serving drinks, not cool. And her boss is being a douche as well as some guys who came into the bar. One thing leads to another and she gets into an altercation with them and ends up being saved by a handsome stranger.
Jensen Reed is a cop out on for drinks with his fellow officers. And then it happens... The 'Boom'. The thing his partner and fellow officer Nico Mayson has been telling him about. He didn't think it would happen to him, but it did. And now the women he instantly fell for is in trouble and all he wants to do is protect her.
This one definitely packed a punch ladies. It was short, sweet, hot, steamy and it seriously will want you going back to where it all started with those hot alpha Maysons. It had some intense moments and a little bit of angst too! Cool addition to the Happily Ever Alpha World

I love to read books from Happily Ever Alpha World series and everything connected with my favorite Mason family. I loved the story too, I was only sad that I finished it so fast and I wanted more of Twyla and Jensen story.
The story is cute, with no cheating, a bit of violence, insta connection between the characters in other name knows as BOOM effect and both of the characters are very likeable.
Can't wait to read other books by this author

Twyla is working her new job when she gets accosted by an idiot, in steps Jensen and BOOM the universe moves.
This is a gritty little book that you don't want to put down.
Loved the way Twyla and Jenson just know that's it for them.

This was a good novella. I wish the author would have addresssed the reasoning behind the conflict in the story with a few more paragraphs. Aside from that, it was fantastic. It definitely had the insta-alpha boom required to make it part of the Happily Ever Alpha World.

This was great! Insta-boom! Twyla and Jensen had great, immediate chemistry. Throw in a little suspense and we have an HEA come true. A little short but very satisfying and safe read.

I am a big fan of the “boom”, but I didn’t love this book as much as some of the others I have read. When you’re exchanging I love you’s after one day, that’s a bit much for me. I did like both of the characters, but the story itself was not amazing. Cute little story if you’re into insta love.
