Grenade: A dark, why choose, romance (Tarnished Crowns Trilogy Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.6 out of 5 stars 141 ratings

I'm their lover. Their grenade. And grenades explode. Outside, a quiet war wages between two fractured countries. Inside, I have been blasted by my own explosion. Torn into pieces. I am a protector - for her. A lover - to both. A traitor - to all. We have all been on our knees at the feet of someone else. We have all spent nights escaping in our shared beds. We all want to wear this tarnished crown. Blair. Isaac. And me. The grenade. Grenade is the second book in the Tarnished Crown Trilogy.

Grenade is a HOT, beautiful, deadly 5⭐ gem!!
5 out of 5 stars
Grenade is a HOT, beautiful, deadly 5⭐ gem!!
No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn. Hal Borlund Grenade is a deeper foray into Ben's life and family, and Isaacs life and family. At the same time we're no closer to who is calling the shots here, it's difficult to determine if Blair can trust Ben, Isaac, or no one at all. Annie has created an amazingly, beautifully descriptive world, moving back and forth between Scotland and England, between the three - Ben, Isaac, and Blair. The darkness can still be seen to be hovering over the horizon, and over the tarnished crown all 3 want to wear. One of the hottest, most fascinating books I've found so far in 2020, the sexual energy, and what I believe is true love, between Blair, Ben and Isaac is off the charts!! The kindness between the three is beautiful. A gorgeous novel of palace intrigue, the political lives of three very strong individuals, and the torture each man feels in trying to keep their families from destroying their lives and the difficult task of keeping Blair physically safe has drawn me back 3 times! Every time I've read this book I've found new and intriguing pieces to fall in love with! Start with Chandelier, and I believe you'll find love, and maybe lust (SO DAMN HOT!!), in these 5 star gems!!

Grenade is a great middle book in this trilogy as we learn all about Issac and Ben and watch them balance their familial obligations with the love they have for each other and Blair. I love development between these three and their romance is so sweet and passionate, but not quite fine tuned yet which has me excited for the third book!

The second book in the Tarnished Crown trilogy. This time, from Ben's POV. We get some answers. We get new questions. We get hot smexy time between our favorite princess, and her two delicious men. The plot advances, and the book ends on a bit of a cliffy, as many a book 2s do.

The world of this series is fascinating. I'm digging the romance, smexyness, but I'm LOVING the world.

I received an arc of this. Also preordered because the whole series is just that good.

“No one ever told me that you could break a heart by giving someone yours” -Ben. This book is full of love, passion and pain. It will ignite every brain synapse that you have. It is better than chocolate, ice cream and an unlimited credit card. Grenade is book 2 in the Tarnished Crowns Trilogy, and is told from Ben’s point of view. The story of deception, love, passion and angst continues.
So many people want to manipulate Ben. He’s a chess pawn in a wicked game of thrones. The assassination of Blair’s brother, the future king heightens political tension and makes her the number one target for more than just death. As the deception comes to a boiling point, so does the passion, and nothing is quite as it seems. A true test of faith for three people to love each other despite all odds.

A terrific successor to Chandelier! The political intrigue has me on the edge of my seat - I can’t figure out Ben’s secret! Incredibly hot bedroom scenes.
I love that each story is told in a different voice. Isaac is most fascinating - can not wait! Anything Annie Dyer writes I will devour - this is an atypical genre for me and I LOVE it! Counting the days for #3 :)

The second book in The Tarnished Crowns trilogy is written from Ben's point of view.

Filled with suspense, romance and a LOT of steam, Blair, Ben and Isaac try to figure out who to trust and who is out to destroy them.

This series is phenomenal! I can't wait to read the last book!

If you love political thrillers, this book if for you! A maze of betrayal, lies, deceit. Who do you trust? Who are the bad guys, who are the good guys? The answers are never clear! This is book two in the Tarnished Crowns trilogy, and it’s recommended you read all three in the series.

This books is not what I thought it was going to be. It’s not all about the sex and that’s the best thing about books that keep your attention! It has a story and sex 🙂

Grenade is book two in the Tarnished Crowns Trilogy and this time it's told from Ben's point of view. The prologue again sets up Grenade so you know what's coming! You delve into Ben's past in this book and you discover that Ben's seen and done a lot and he trusts very few people! He will protect the people he loves to the ends of the earth. There were tears when I was reading this. So much hurt in his past. This story is truly amazing and has left me excited to see how this trilogy ends!
