I’VE OFFICIALLY SCREWED THE POOCH.

I mean, not literally, because that would be disgusting. But I did break one of the cardinal rules of Bro Code, which is equally appalling. You see, I fell in love with my best friend’s sister after he explicitly forbid me to go near her. As if that weren’t bad enough, I went ahead and married her while sh*tfaced in Vegas.

I know that I should get an annulment and forget the whole thing ever happened, despite the fact that our wedding night was the hottest thing I’ve ever experienced.

The last thing I should do is go back for seconds.

Or thirds.

Or...you get the point.

And what I definitely shouldn’t do, is say f*ck the consequences and give this marriage a real shot.

But here’s the problem with that: I’m pretty sure that Charlotte Harris is the one. And if that’s the case, nothing is going to keep me away from her. Not even her brother.

*Deal Makers is filled with lots of laughs, drunken shenanigans, and a sexy romance. It is the third installment in the Dealing With Love series but each one can be read as a standalone.

Laura Lee is the USA Today bestselling author of sexy and seductive romance. She's best known for writing the Bedding the Billionaire series and the Windsor Academy series. She won her first writing contest at the ripe old age of nine, earning a trip to the state capital to showcase her manuscript. Thankfully for her, those early works will never see the light of day again! Laura lives in the Pacific Northwest with her extremely tolerant husband, two beautiful children, and some of the most ridiculously spoiled felines you’ll ever meet.

When she's not chauffeuring the kids around, writing, or watching HGTV, she probably has her nose in a book, with an iced matcha by her side. She's a sucker for spicy romances, always searching for new book boyfriends to add to her collection..

Andrew Summer, 32, is fighting a strong attraction to his best friend’s sister. But Drew lives by the “Bro Code” so resisting Charlotte Harris, 31, is what he’s determined to do. Until alcohol and a night alone in Vegas takes away his inhibitions.

I give points to Charlee for not buying into this whole Bro Code that included her younger brother’s silly insistence that she’s off limits. I couldn’t agree more that he had no say in her love life so why she later let him manipulate things is part of the downfall of this romance. Initially, Charlee appeared forward and confident, and it was refreshing that she wasn’t buying into the sexist bs. But Charlee started to wear thin with me after a while. I found her bitching and bossiness during intimate or tender moments a turn-off, and I didn’t understand why she wanted to annul the union since she genuinely liked Drew and went after what she wanted.

The side characters (couples from previous books which I have not read and after this have no desire to) wore thin quickly too. But my patience with this story was lost with Charlee’s crude brother Brody, a grown man with the finesse of an unruly toddler. He was a hypocrite; he was a bully. He made everything about him and yet shifted responsibility for his behavior to the people he claimed were important to him. He got his way by being loud and obnoxious.

But what made me lose respect for Drew and Charlee and the rest of their friends was the way they all let him control things. No one needs a toxic and controlling misogynist like Brody in their life, whether he’s a best friend or a brother.

There was a serious lack of maturity with these people. From the group’s constant talk about T&A and dicks…

(They were in the 28-32 age range for the record.)

…to Drew and Charlee’s inability to own their impromptu nuptials/relationship, this couple lacked back bones and good sense.

“‘If this thing between us has to end…then…I want to be with you without any barriers between us before I can’t be with you at all.’”

Nothing screams irresponsible adult like ditching the condoms before you plan to break up! But then Drew upped the ick scale by confiding that he went bare once before and got his college girlfriend pregnant! And that little backstory is apparently such a turn on to them that they follow through with going bareback themselves immediately after!

Only Mrs. Pistorio and Charlee’s mother had any sense or good advice. Well and their father had their number too.

“‘I could’ve sworn we’re all adults here, but you two are acting like bratty teenagers.’”

All in all, the story is built on immature characters who can’t communicate properly and a contrived conflict.

Lastly, and this seems like a minor issues now in comparison to all the issues I had with the characters, but this story incorporates the trope where said couple can’t initially remember the details of the events leading up to their drunk nuptials and yet despite being so black-out drunk, are able to play tourist up and down the Vegas strip for hours and have more orgasms than you can count on your fingers.

Told via Drew and Charlee’s alternating first person POV, bring your suspension of disbelief and an endless supply of patience if you’re going to tackle this read. The blurb sounded cute but it didn’t live up.

Four let's make a deal, stars.

How do two people who are just another vision of the other and both have commitment issues end up married in Vegas? Lots of fun, laughter, a ton of chemistry, and alcohol. The heart knows before the mind does.

Andrew has always had an attraction towards his best friend, Brody’s sister Charlee, and swore to Brody he would never go after her. One make-out session later and getting caught, he told Brody never again. Now, several months later, he can’t stop thinking about her and he is sick of single life.

This is where all the fun begins. This book was what I needed. I couldn’t stop laughing. Anytime you add an Italian mother, I am always full steam ahead, and then I laugh my ass off because it’s true to what they say. Brody was a little over the top. However, I did expect it, or we wouldn’t have a book.

I love Charlee, she reminds me of me at her age, full of sass, zero filters, funny, wants no commitment, embraces her sexuality, and loves being herself. Oh, and she is stubborn, that will never change. There is a lesson to be learned in this book, so live life to the fullest. You have one life and enjoy it.

All around, it’s a fantastic rom-com, that I really enjoyed, and these two will always have a special spot in my heart.

Omg!!! This is the first book I've read by this author, definitely not the last! My gah I was blown away with her writing!
This was also the best forbidden, best friends sister book I have read in a long time!

Charlee and Drew were amazing!
Charlee wants Drew and he wants her too but Bro Code is standing in the way!
A bachelor and bachelorette party in Vegas lead Charlee and Drew together for a while, they get totally wasted and end up married.

At first they both want an annulment, but as time goes on they end up falling for each other until Brody, Charlee's brother and Drew's best friend finds out and gives Drew an ultimatum!

Ok I'm stopping now I'm going to end up spoiling it if I don't!
Buy this book! READ this book y'all! Ya won't regret it!

Laura Lee perfectly combines sweet swoony romance with laugh out loud hilarity like no one else! I’ve adored every book in this series so far, but Drew and Charlee’s story is definitely my favorite. They have this perfect mix of heat, sweet, fun, and a pinch of drama to really make things interesting. To say I devoured this book is an understatement. I don’t think I’ve ever read anything so fast in my life! I just couldn’t get enough of their story.
I loved everything about these two. Drew is sexy, kind, and loyal. Charlee is sweet, funny, and outspoken. There’s literally nothing to not love about them! Together they’ve got electric chemistry that steams up the pages along with having the kind of sweep you off your feet whirlwind romance that leaves you breathless. Deal Makers is what romantic comedy dreams are made of!

Is there an option for more stars? I freaking LOVED this book!! I was excited to read Drew and Charlee’s story, especially after we got a glimpse of them in Laura’s Christmas short, but I wasn’t sure if I was going to love them as much as I loved Brody and Rainey in Deal Takers.

Well.... happy to report that I laughed just as hard... probably even harder during Deal Makers!

I love how the author totally takes us in the head of the characters. Drew and his conversations with his certain ^anatomy part^ are freaking hilarious. I love how unfiltered Charlee is she can totally dish it out just as well as the guys do.

I will say, I was laughing reading the first page, really the first paragraph. Laura Lee has a way of pulling you into her book immediately. I seriously could not put this one down today. Great detail in the writing! Made me feel like I was right there with the characters!!

I absolutely loved Drew and Charlotte's story and couldn't put it down.

This was book was a steamy read and is a definite mist read. This book could be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading the books in order.

I went backwards to begin with in reading the Dealing With Love series. I read this book first but then eventually read the first two and reread book three - because why not I enjoyed it so much the first time I knew I would love it again.
Drew is Brody's best friend and has only recently met Brody's sister Charlee. I loved how they couldn't stay away from each other, knowing that Brody would not be happy. I also liked how the story jumped from past to present. This was done seamlessly.
There were plenty of laughs throughout the book. But mostly what I found most enjoyable was the great cast of characters. It was great catching up with them all again and honestly it felt like I was hanging out with wonderful friends.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

Deal Makers by Laura Lee is book Three in the Dealing With Love Series. This is the story of Charlotte 'Charlee ' Harris and Andrew 'Drew' Summer. I have read the previous books, but feel you can make this a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Drew is Charlee's brother good friend and so he has placed her in the off limits section but when they have a night Vegas they end up getting married. Thinking to get it annulled but their feelings and desires for each other start making that impossible.
I am always a sucker for a mistaken marriage where they find it wasn't a mistake, so of course I loved this story.

I’ve been dying to get my hands on this book. I may have stalked Laura and bugged her until she finally gave in and sent it to my kindle.

Charlee and Drew... I don’t know who’s hotter. Their chemistry was off the charts explosive. Charlee is sexy, sarcastic, and just as big a perv as her brother. Drew, well Drew is kinda me in male form, it’s all about sex and food. And of course, Charlee.

This book came at just the right time to pull me out of a book slump. If you enjoy laugh out loud scenarios, super steamy sexy times, and a close knit family of friends this book is for you.

I licked Drew’s V and I liked it!

Laura Lee has set the bar high for 2019. I could not of asked for a book better than this one, to start this year with. I am absolutely, positively in LOVE with Drew and Charlee's story. This Interconnected standalone was better than I could have imagined. Laura Lee completely captivates me with her writing. It is flawless, and so easy to read. Deal Makers is that book that hooks you from the very first page, and keeps you held hostage; willingly to the very last word that is on the page. I will be the first to admit, many authors are going to have a tough time topping this one, Laura Lee is easily becoming one of my favorite authors, and I can not wait to see what 2019 brings us from her.

Charlee. I am just going to put it out there, that I love her name. Like seriously, love it. She is as beautiful on the outside as the inside. She is witty, pig headed, and needs to come with a sign saying, " NO FILTER. " In a sense she also thinks like a man, which makes her super unique. Her personality is epic. It is legit going down in the history books.

Drew is a 6 foot 5 inch man, that is all muscle. With a body to die for and a career as a firefighter, he ticks off every box on a womans wish list. He is playful, but honest. Perverted, but in a good way. A sense of humor that reminds me of a comedian, and a great friend.

I loved this book so hard. Charlee and Drew's chemistry was off the charts, even I started breathing heavy, throw in Vegas and some things are bound to happen. Just enjoy the ride, because it is a great one.

I 100% RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!

This was acutely first read of 2019 so if this is any indication my year will be filed with light, funny and steam stories. I'm giving this one 4.5*

I loved Charlotte and her straightforward, take-no-shit attitude. When she sets her eyes on Drew she decided she'll have him no matter what. Saying that I was a bit disappointed when she tried to do the right thing – I mean who in their right mind would choose to leave a man like Drew??? I loved Drew – with all his musicales he really was one big softy where Charlotte was concerned. I loved that he was fighting to keep her even with ultimatum that Brody set upon him (that was not cool man – not cool at all). And don’t get me started on the grand gesture that she pulled to show him how much he means to her – swoon 

This series has made me a fan of Laura Lee's work. I'll defiantly be on the lookout for next book in the future.

Drew is trying very hard not to violate the Bro Code, but Charlee is just too big a temptation. What could one night in Vegas hurt? After all what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, or not. When you are laughing before the end of the first chapter, you know you’re in for a great time. There is so much I could say about this book, but I don’t want to spoil any of this marvelous read. This tale is full of laughter, a few tears, and plenty of steamy romance, and in between a wonderfully engaging story.

The characters are extremely appealing, and the storyline is very entertaining, holding your interest from beginning to end. As with the other stories in this series, this can be read as a standalone, but the characters are integrated throughout each story. Getting a view of their ongoing lives will increase the enjoyment for those who have read the previous books. I highly recommend this enjoyably amusing and delightful romance and series!

One of my favorite reads!

A definite must read! I'm not one to usually leave a review on a book I've read. But I absolutely love this series. Drew has always been in the background as one of the best friends, and I'm glad he finally got his chance at a story. Though I really like Brody and his jokes that had me cracking up in Deal Takers, I think Drew and Charlee are my new favorites! The chemistry that these two have.... all I can say is DAMN!! I had an outright smile while reading, and if I wasn't smiling then I was either laughing a bit or fanning myself. Drew and Charlee are definitely sizzling. I think Laura Lee did a great job with the story build up and the characters. Charlee doesn't take shit from anyone and can dish it out just the same. And Drew is big and manly with a heart of gold. My favorite quote from the book comes from Drew...
“If you haven’t already figured it out, I fucking love every damn thing about you. You fucking own me. I’ve never said that to another woman before, and I know you may think it’s too soon, but at the risk of sounding like a pussy, I don’t want to keep it to myself anymore.”

Damn did I love this one! I LOVE best friends brother/sister stories, and this was a damn good one! I love the basis of these two not getting together was because of "bro code." Everyone knows that siblings are usually off limits, but sometimes you just can't help it!

I LOVED How Drew reacted to Charlee every time he saw her. It's as if she were his siren, even when she didn't talk. I thought it was funny that the best friend, Brody, hadn't ever brought Charlee around until recent years. Although, it's kind of sad. These two really seemed like soul mates, their pairing was like an act of God. It was just such perfect timing for the two. I also loved how they were both super hardworking people who's jobs were their lives. These two were two that rarely took time for themselves.

Ok, Vegas, I can't not talk about this anymore!!! I thought it was just SO perfect that the bachelor/bachelorette trip was Vegas. And even better, what happens in Vegas cannot always stay in Vegas. Vegas was the absolute place for these two to really let loose and discover each other. They kept putting off their inevitable and exploring the city. I thought it was as neat way to get to know someone, even if it meant doing really stupid things. Brody's reaction to these two had me giggling the WHOLE time! Really the whole book had me giggling. From the boob scene to the bungee jumping. It was all just so funny!

There were so many obstetrical for these two. I haven't read the other books yet, but I can tell how special it was to have Brody, Rainey, Riley and Devyn in this book. I loved these characters from just what I saw, I can't wait to go back and read their books. So many special things happened with each couple, that this book really encompassed so much. There were so many good roller coasters. Really makes me love Laura's work and go back for more!

Oh My God, this book is so freakin hilarious!!!! Drew and Charlee bring the heat in this one!! I absolutely love brother's best friend/sister and this one was one of the best I've read. Even though it can be read as a standalone, each and every character bring something to the book. This one you have a crazy night in Vegas and now Drew and Charlee have to deal with the aftermath. It played out just like I thought it would but it was so much to keep reading to see how they got out of it. I must say Nathan is one lucky dude. I would have loved to have a fun uncle who told me all kinds of things including things he wasn't supposed to know about yet lol. Drew and Charlee have to decide whether or not, they want to keep going or give up. This group is hilarious especially Charlee and her brother Brody. They have no filters and just say whatever they feel like. This makes for some interesting moments. I loved Drew and Charlee together!! I also loved how this story ended. Cracked me up so hard!!

The bratty Trio is back with the 3rd Big Peacock making an appearance -Andrew Summers. They are in Vegas for Riley and Devyn's kid free weekend.

description

His eyes land on Charlotte Harris, sister of his best buddy-Brody Harris and all his blood rushes to his little head!! This guy is HUGE, in all departments- North to South!! And since his 5th limb is bigger than his upper brain, it has a mind and thoughts of its own....seriously!
I could live there forever, my dick sighs.
I hear ya, buddy. I say.
I hear ya.

The stoopid Bro-Code-the unwritten rule between buddies is what messes with his head though. I liked that Charlee could see right through the B.S. considering Riley had married Devyn who's Drew's sister. He's the last sceptic to dismiss the notion of M.P.-Magic Pussy. so its ironic that charlee just casts a spell on him so strong that they get drunk in Vegas and roam the strip looking for Elvis. But alas! Elvis has a case of herpes so Lady Gaga does the honours in Hunk Of burning Love Chapel
And they wake up about 2 ounce heavy, brass rings on their fingers and their faces in shitpile..

description

“Well, who would’ve thought? The man who swore the M.P. is a myth has finally found his unicorn.”
What follows is hilarious and steamy romance which they try to keep under wraps, but a punch in the face from Brody sends their plans into a spin.

description

“Sometimes the heart recognizes its match before the head does. Love is a funny thing.”
The story has right amount of sex, humour, slapstick banter and emotions.
Fun read and a page turner for sure !!

You can see this and other Reviews I have written along with various cover reveals, excerpts, and giveaways here Nadine's Obsessed with Books

Dealing With Love has been an enjoyable series and I am sad to see it come to an end. I have enjoyed watching the friends and family come together to find their HEAs. Each book can be read as a standalone but I highly suggest you read them in order because each of the characters play a main role in all of the books.

In Deal Makers, we are gifted with Charlee and Drew's story.  A little background for you, Charlee is Brody's sister, Brody had his HEA in Deal Takers, and Drew is Devon's brother, Drew had her HEA in Deal Breakers. As you can see this is a close group of friends and siblings so really it's not surprising that Charlee and Drew found their way together. What was surprising was them waking up in Vegas MARRIED!!! I have to warn you that BRO CODE came to play big time in this story and whether you're a fan of that or not it was a major deal that honestly took me by surprise. I know there is always talk of "You better not look at my sister or else" but this story brings that to a whole new level...for me anyway.

Laura Lee was a new to me author when I began the series but she is quickly becoming someone I am on the lookout for when she publishes a new book. Laura Lee's books are funny yet emotional at times, and the chemistry is always sizzling. You cannot go wrong if you're looking for a book that will not only make you laugh but set your kindle ablaze by picking up any of the three books in this series. Happy Reading!!!

Wow If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would. I absolutely loved this book. Drew has always had an attraction to his best friend's sister Charlee. She's fun, very sexy and has a wicked tongue. But his friend Brodie would kill him if he got with his sister. They both want each other but they know Brodie would go nuclear if anything happened. But when they go away for a Bachelor/Bachelorette party in Vegas, all their resistance crumbles. One night of drinking and they end up married! Both agree to an annulment but once they get home, they end up spending more and more time together. As much as they want to be together, they don't want to lose Brodie. When Brodie finds out all hell breaks loose. And what will they do when Brodie gives Dylan gives him an ultimatum? Who will Dylan choose? The woman he can't live without or his best friend? This book made me laugh so hard and I will definitely be reading more books from Laura Lee!

The thing I loved most about this book was the humor. I was laughing from beginning to end. This book left me in a good mood when I finished it. The characters are great and very entertaining. Plus we get to see how the couples from the previous books are doing. I so love that so much. Add in it's a brother's best fined troupe I was sold. Drew and Charlee are such a great fit, but Drew lives by the "bro code" which means Charlee is off limits. That doesn't stop the pull whenever he is near her. Soon a trip to Vegas will change everything. If you're looking for a funny, laugh out loud, feel good book then I highly recommend this one or any in this series. I gobbled this one up so fast.

I have to say that so far I have started this year's reading with a bang..I have the previous two reviews coming( yeah catching up)..But I so enjoyed this book with Charlotte and Drew, they were perfect for each other. I loved Drew I mean love and I was happy to see him fight for what he wanted or should I say who he wanted and that was Charlotte my friends, he would even give up his friendship with his bestie for it, but on another note he shouldn't have to even justify himself...I will tell you no more so that you can grab a copy and Enjoy!

This is the third book in this awesome series, and is Drew and Charlee’s turn. Charlee is forbidden as she is Drew’s best friend’s sister, but they cannot deny the chemistry between them and end up having a wild night in Vegas, which ends with them married. No spoilers; this is an absolute must read, you will not be disappointed! This is a well written flawless story, which is hilarious, emotional, and steamy, all which had me totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner. This is an entertaining read from the very beginning, and I cannot wait to read more from this talented author, whose work I highly recommend for all RomCom lovers.

Once they meet they are drawn to each other, but can they stay away from each other. He's her brother's best friend of 10 years that she has just met and he shouldn't have anything to do with her due to Bro Code of brothers. But what happens in Vegas doesn't seem to be able to stay in Vegas. Marvelous read and well-developed characters.

Drew feels an instant attraction to Charlee, his best friend's sister when they meet. He tries very hard to keep the "bro-code" and stay away from her. When they are in Vegas, they get married and then have to figure out how to deal with the brother, their marriage and each other. This is a wonderful addition to the series!

Laura Lee absolutely knocked it out of the park with Drew and Charlee's story! This book had all the laughs and sexiness and love that makes a romance novel perfect. The banter was hilarious. The story was a fast paced ride that had me flipping the pages as quick as I could read them. I will definitely be reading more from Laura Lee as she has now become one of my favorite authors! Everyone needs to read this book!
