About this ebook

Everybody know Claire Winters is …*ahem*… not a nice person. She struts into town in her designer heels only when she wants money from her estranged father.

Except for retired special-forces straight talker, Finn Williams, who came to Twin Elks searching for the peace and contentment missing in his life. Finn likes Claire just fine and is not shy to show it.

Irresistibly drawn to each other, will mistrust, lies and deceit destroy Claire and Finn’s happily ever after before it begins?

This was such a good read. It picks up after book one but I feel you could enjoy this as a standalone read if you wanted. The entertaining story will capture your attention and melt your heart. I liked Finn and Claire. These were complex characters that both had their issues. Their attraction is instantanious and the sparks incindiary. There is of course, drama, tension and emotional turmoil but that is all balanced out with sweetness, humor, small town charm and romance. A great read that really uses the whole looks a deceiving and just because you believe something doesn't make it true concepts in the best way possible.

I found my newest book boyfriend in Finn. I so love a flirty, fun-loving (yet honorable) man. Sigh. Okay, on to the writing. This author uses very few words to paint crystal clear images in the reader's head. You find yourself deep within a character's mind, feeling what they feel. The support characters are equally as brilliant, and the setting is described just the right amount - not too wordy, but with enough detail to set the scene. I want to live in this small town. I highly recommend this book if you love contemporary romance with the right amount of sizzle.

Amazing! Actually amazing is not the word I want to use to describe this book. It was awesome, marvellous and super beautiful. The characters really got to me and the plot was just amazing. I loved how things got resolved bit by bit and the fact that it wasn't something which happened in a day or two but rather enough time for the main characters to figure out their feelings towards each other. The family was just lovely and the small town was lively, I wonder how actually someone could bear to move away from such peace. But then again it is a subjective question. All in all I was ALL IN for the book!! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
