I love Anthologies and couldn't wait for this one. So many amazing authors all together to create an epic book.

One of the first stories I read was by Shannon Nemechek called Torn. It takes place in the military where you meet Tuck and Riley. They had met a few years ago, but for some reason, Riley wouldn't continue the relationship. Fast forward a few years, and they meet up again. But something from Riley's past threatens to destroy any chances at a relationship. Can these two perservere?? You will have to read this entertaining story to find out!

Another fantastic story is Chasing Casey by Jane Anthony. This book will completely pull at your heartstrings! The story of AJ and Casey will make you fall in love with these characters. You know in your very heart and soul that they belong together, but have many obstacles to overcome first. When Casey is called back home, can these two continue any kind of a relationship? Will AJ follow her and show her how much he really cares for her? Will someone from her past stop them from being together? You will have to read this story of lust and love to find out. I truly enjoyed this story so very much and so will you!

These stories are all incredible in their own way and I recommend that you read them all!!

Reviewing Chasing Casey by Jane Anthony

Absolutely Brilliant !!!
I really loved this book, now I don't usually like Love triangles they completely frustrate me,and I hate being torn between two heroes.
Two men who are very different but have one woman in common Casey.
A.J. is her present
Austin is her past..The question is who will Casey choose.?
A.J.had my heart there was no problem for me to choose..lol..this story just blew my mind ,beautifully written it will keep you on your toes and captivated right from the very start. You will be so engrossed with all the hotness and surprises that you will forget everything around you.
A phenomenal read,that I highly recommend.

This Anthology is an Amazing array of stories, there is something for everyone in here with some very talented authors sharing their books with us.. your spoilt for choice its a MUST READ.

I love reading anthologies and this one is filled with works from a few of my favorite authors and a couple that are new to me.

One of those stories, Chasing Casey by Jane Anthony, pulled hard on my heartstrings. Casey's a tough country girl trying to make it in the city. She's sworn off men but rocker/mechanic AJ slowly breaks down her walls. Their arousing whirlwind romance is put on hold when she is summoned to go back home.

Once home, her ex-fiance Austin reappears and is determined that Casey will be his once again. Does AJ let the odds and obstacles stacked against him keep him from Casey? Does he follow her and stake his own claim on her heart and soul? Or does Austin get the girl and her ranch?

This collection of stories are a must read!

I read Torn by Shannon Nemechek. This is a military love story. Tuck and Riley met years ago and they had this undeniable connection. But the Army and life got in the way. Fast forward six years and they meet again. Do they feel the same way about each other, as they did when they first met? I can't wait for you to read this story and find out.

Review of: Someone Worth Protecting
I received an ARC of this novel and was hooked from the blurb. Who doesn't want to read about a Hollywood action hero having to rely on a petite bodyguard to keep him safe? The banter between the two was great fun (never petty) and the author did an amazing job showing us the people behind the facades. The pacing was perfect and the scene setting wonderful. I loved every minute of this story and highly recommend this anthology based on this story alone.

I've only read Sugar & Spice by Phoebe Alexander so far but will update reviews as I read more from the boxed set.

This is what Phoebe does best...give us what we THINK we are getting -- all that sugar...and then gives us what we HOPED we were getting...all that spice. Cy only has to bide his time, find the culprit and then he'll be home free to do what he wants to do with his life...and that is NOT working at his parent's amusement park. Jolie just wants to take care of her family and will do whatever it takes to do that...even if it leaves a sour taste in her mouth. The Red Velvet Queen and the Prince of Sweetopia are about to take you on a ride you will completely enjoy. Enjoyably steamy.

From the Anthology, I read: Drowning in You by Amanda Siegrist and Jane Blythe

What secrets lie beneath the murky water of the mysterious lake?

Detective Carter Dixson stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the lifeless body at the edge of the lake. Even though he was a seasoned detective, he was still shocked at the brutality of murder. He kept his eyes away from the water as he surveyed the surrounding area. He felt a chill go through his body and he had a feeling that this case would somehow become personal.

Rose Gowan was devastated by the death of her best friend, Evelyn. She was the closest thing she had to family and now she felt alone and adrift in a scary and dangerous world. When she met Carter he appeared angry and troubled but when she looked into his eyes, she saw caring and compassion. He promised her that he would find the person who murdered her friend and she wanted to believe him. Rose was attracted to Carter and she hoped that he felt the same way about her because he made her feel safe, happy and hopeful about the future.

What will it take for Carter to find the killer, while also keeping Rose safe and out of danger? Will Rose trust Carter with her heart and take a chance on love?

Amazing collection!

Review for The Middle Road by KG Reuss and CM Lally
The Middle Road is very good story with a bit if a lesson built in. Carter has learned some devastating news and decides to take action. He departs on an adventure to experience many things he has missed in life.  Along the way he meets some wonderful people, sees some beautiful places, and has as much fun as he can. I love that Carter is aware of the changes he needs to make and really lives up to the frequently irritating yolo phrase, but in his case yolo has more impact and importance. The book is well written and kept me turning page after page. I was worried because I really needed a hea right now and wasn't sure if that would happen. I'm not gonna say if it happens or not, just know that everything happens for a reason. It seems there was a thread that connected every character to each other. I truly enjoyed these characters and going on a road trip with them.

This is a very enjoyable collection of romantic reads. This box set offers a lot of variety, which I feel means that there is something for everyone. Whether it is the enjoyment of a fun treat by a familiar author or the delightful surprise of you finding a new favorite, there is plenty of potential in this box set. I particularly liked Lemon Tarts & Stolen Hearts by Dylann Crush. This was a charming novella. It is Misty and Jake's story. If you are familiar with the Lovebird Café series, this couple will known to you and If not, since this is a prequel novella you are still good to go. This second chance romance gives these former high school sweethearts another shot at a HEA. The engaging storyline is filled with strong emotions and plenty of tension. I loved the chemistry that this couple shared. I liked them both and felt bad for them for different reasons. A simply beautiful and quite moving romance. I also really enjoyed Chasing Casey by Jane Anthony. This is A.J. and Casey's story. This is a read that is just rich with complexities and emotions. I loved this couple. They were a wonderful combination of sweet and steamy. I felt that they were made for each other but the road to their HEA was far from easy trip. Expect plenty of emotional turmoil, drama and some twists along the way. This is my free and frank review.

I read Girl In A Country Song by Avelyn Paige.

Elizabeth “Lizzy” Moulton doesn’t feel that she’s not going to get anywhere in life. Alex McCloud has some past regrets that he’s hoping to change. This story was written by an author that I’ve followed for a while, Avelyn Paige. Usually when I see her name I think of plenty of steam heat and men who are in charge. If you noticed the title, you may want to play some country music – Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, or even Kenny Rogers comes to mind. You may even prefer something older.

This story was a complete surprise. It’s like nothing I’ve read by her previously. It’s tame and sweet. There’s a little bit of heat but nothing that’s going to burn up your ereader. Lizzy and Alex were a great addition to this anthology and I can’t wait to get my own copy in order to see the other contributions that have been included.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

This year I have been a bit obsessed with box sets because of the deals of so many old fave authors with new undiscovered authors all coming together to give us different stories in one bundle.

This Sweetest Obsessions helped me discover so many new authors.

One of my fave so far is Chasing Casey by Jane Anthony
I just love how Jane takes simple everyday ordinary people and tell extraordinary stories through them. Casey and AJ are two characters you can easily fall in love with. Both have their flaws, both have a past and both find a kindred spirit in eachother. But when the past comes a-knocking, Casey has to leave and this puts a major damper in their relationship. Not only is Casey and AJ far apart, but old flames take a spark and creates complication. And this is where Jane's storytelling shines. She builds up the emotion, the thoughts and the angst and keeps us at the edge of our seats till the very last page.

I would totally recommend this box set to all contemporary romance lovers to give a try. It has stories for everyone.

Sugar & Spice (Spicetopia #1) by Phoebe Alexander Featured in the Sweetest Obsessions Boxed Set Collection is a pretty amazing collection of stories by some pretty amazing authors. Some I’ve read and there is a few that I haven’t but plan to. With that being said I’m doing my review on Sugar & Spice ( Spicetopia #1) by Phoebe Alexander. I don’t even know where to start other than I freaking love this Author she brings the right amount of “naughty “ to her stories. Her style of writing is amazing and I have the hardest time putting it down once I start reading. Her characters are very well developed and easily relatable and sassy. This story is steamy and very hot.The two main characters have a definite attraction to each other and their chemistry is crazy. Then there’s Colleen the boss what’s not to love about her. Find out what happens next in this must read.

Sweetest Obsessions a contemporary romance box set with 25 tantalizing and sexy romance stories by some very talented authors. I have only read a couple of the stories so far but will be going back to read the rest.

Sugar and Spice by Phoebe Alexander:

Is a sweet romance story where being born with a silver spoon in your mouth is not always a good thing and being a single mom with nothing can be everything.

Whilst working undercover Cy discovers there is more going on than meets the eye and the truth about his family is brought to light. But the one thing he does find is something he never wanted but can’t let it go.

Jolie works hard to provide for her family but being a single mom can take its toll.

You will be holding your breath to see what happens but in oh so very different ways. Grab a copy, you know you want to.

Duet, Emily Robertson
Dani King's life hasn't been very lucky so far, being left a single mom quite young. Luckily she is a very strong young woman, determined to make the most of life for herself and her daughter Reece. She has great support from her family and her brother's bandmates.

Her relationship with Nate Larson is a massive support. He loves them both dearly and couldn't love Reece anymore if she were his own child.

This book gives an insight into Reece's late father's family, how they are with Dani, and what they seem to want from her, rather than their relationship with Reece.

Lovely short story, which has made me want to read the rest of the series!

I’m writing this review for Girl in a Country Song by Avelyn Paige. Loved, loved, loved this story!! This is the story of Alex and Lizzy. It’s a story about life not being what you thought it was....it’s about fame, fortune, and family. When you have it all you figure out what is truly important. When fate steps up and says this is your future and you need to grab it!! It’s about letting go of the struggles and hurt and realizing that the one you have always loved is right in front of you!! It’s a beautiful story of family and hope!! Can love win over a broken heart? You gotta read this amazing story!

Chasing Casey by Jane Anthony:

Ok... ok..... So Casey seems to be a little southern heart-breaker! AJ is taken with her from the very minute that he saw her. They were enjoying a nice little courtship when she got called back home to take care of the family ranch. Well.... wild horses (or sketchy ex-fiances) couldn't keep AJ away! So as the title says.... he chases Casey! And then he gets to deal with life on a ranch after being a city boy all his life. Not to mention he feels like he has to compete with the ex-fiance. This story gets really interesting in more than one spot. There are some twists and turns that you don't see coming. It is a really interesting story. And I will leave it at that because if I say anymore I will end up giving it all away. LOL

This collection of stories is absolutely fantastic.

The one-story that I read and loved so much was Torn by Shannon Nemechek.

Now anyone that knows me knows that I am a huge sucker for a military romance, throw in the fact that said romance is written by my favourite author and we have a winner.

That’s exactly what this Novella by Shannon is. I loved every single second of this intense, emotional read.
I finished this book feeling like I needed a whole lot more of this amazing couple.

A must-read for anyone that loves Military Romance and maybe an ugly little cry.

Lots to choose from...some better than others.

So with most collections - some stories are better than others. I would say "Our Song" by Samantha Morgan was one of my favorites and I also enjoyed "Duet" by Emily Robertson although it is a companion to a series I haven't read - it wasn't really necessary to enjoy this one.

I'm sure there is something for everyone in here.

I voluntarily requested and reviewed an advance reader copy.

I only read Chasing Casey, Jane Anthony's contribution to the boxed set, but based on that I went and bought the set! I am a huge fan of her work already, and this story had everything I love about her writing. Great story, a fantastic (but for real, enough flaws to make him not perfect!) hero, a great heroine in Casey, a hot chemistry and a dash of the f-ery this author is known for make this a MUST READ! If the other stories are even half as good this set is more than worth it!

Sweetest Obsessions Boxed Set Collection

5-stars

Sweetest Obsessions was an excellent collection of steamy and romantic stories. I loved the variety of authors featured in this set.

One of my favorite stories written by an author I love was Sugar & Spice (Spicetopia #1) by Phoebe Alexander. It featured characters Cy and Jolie in he main roles. I loved how with each chapter the author revealed more and more about the characters. I had so many different emotions with her story. Jolie was so strong in her various roles. I also felt that Alexander did a great job on each setting featured in her story.

These books were such a wonderful distraction and all were easy reads. I highly recommend this collection and feel that it easily meets the 5-star standard.

I read Girl in a Country Song from this collection by Avelyn Paige and Alex and Iz will steal your heart. This is a friends to lovers romance and one that will have you a little anxious and on the edge of your seat. Their story will wraps its way around you like the beautiful words in a heartfelt country song. This is about second chances and making sure that the one that got away doesn’t slip through your fingers again. Girl In A Country Song will soothe your heart and soul like the strumming chords of an acoustic guitar.

I've read Lemon Tarts & Stolen Hearts by Dylann Crush as an ARC for an honest review.

Yet another great romance novel by Dylann Crush! I loved Misty and Jake's story. Dylann is one of my favorite romance authors for when I need a sweet and  funny book to read. I've yet to not love any of the books Dylann has written. When I pick up one of her books I know I'm not going to do much else until I finish the entire book. Lemon Tarts & Stolen Hearts truly did steal my heart and once I started reading I couldn't put it down.

There is a lot of books in this anthology and this is my review for Dylann Crush's Lemon Tarts and Stolen Hearts. I first read about Jake and Misty in Sweet Tea and Second Chances. This is a prequel novella to that book. Jake and Misty are high school sweethearts that broke up over a year ago. Misty wanted to try life in the big city of Omaha, Nebraska and Jake loves small town life in Swallow Springs, Missouri. Nothing could get her to stay not even Jake's proposal. Well with time came knowledge and Misty has finally realized that the city life she envisioned is nothing without the love of her life. She has returned back to Swallow Springs to get her man. Jake doesn't plan on letting Misty break his heart again. He has a good if not lonely life but he isn't going down that heartbreaking path again. What he doesn't count on is Misty's tenacity on getting her way. This is a fun novella with laughter, tears and love. Not only do I recommending reading this novella but I recommend reading the entire series!

So far I have read the book Drowning In You by Jane Blythe and Amanda Siegrist. This book had me riveted from the first page. It’s the first book that Amanda Siegrist and Jane Blythe have written together and their writing blends together smoothly. This book is about dealing with and conquering our fears. For Carter it’s his terror of water.
There is a lot going on in this book. Carter and Rose are dealing with, fear, a serial killer, love, twists and turns and a roller coaster of emotions. I just loved this book and am eagerly waiting for book 2 in this series.

Heartbreaker is one of the books within the Sweetest Obsession boxed set and is by one of my favourite authors in this genre. The main character is Georgia Monroe, a music reporter, on her last chance at work. She has finally managed to gain an interview with one of the top new country music stars, Boone Beckett. If she doesn’t get this interview done, then she’s going to lose her job. She has a time and place arranged with Boone, someone who hasn’t done any other interviews, as yet. She is to meet him out at his home on a remote ranch. Only problem is trying to find it in a totally unsuitable car and a useless GPS! A breakdown and unsuitable footwear don’t help with matters.

She is rescued by Boone’s older brother, Harlan at gunpoint, as he is out checking the fences and takes her for a trespasser. He takes her back to the ranch, but Boone has been delayed and he has been asked to keep her company. His idea of this is to take her out for a ride and question her, as he doesn’t trust reporters at all, especially after his own music career was ruined after an event the press reported on. He disappeared from the music scene straight after that. He is very demanding in his questioning and not in a nice way at all! Georgia eventually finds out that this is Harlan’s ranch and Boone is staying there with him at the moment.

When Boone eventually turns up, Georgia can finally get started on her interview, but keeps getting distracted by his brother, who she is finding much more attractive than Boone. It seems Harlan is still writing songs in his studio on site and even working with his brother. It is Harlan who has passed on the mistrust of reporters, but Boone knows he needs some exposure in the press to get his songs out there. He has researched previous interviews Georgia has done on various artists and was really impressed with her stories. He chose her, but Harlan doesn’t trust his opinion when it comes to reporters, lumping them all in the same basket.

Harlan hasn’t been out much in public after the sudden end of his career and has avoided any romance since as well. But, he also finds he has growing feelings for Georgia, however much he tries to hate her and her profession! His ranch is just outside a place called Lonesome, Montana and when Georgia is taken in there for supplies, she finds everyone there with smiles on their faces. She can’t figure this out, but will be let into the secret soon. A romance soon starts up between Harlan and Georgia, and her story may now be turning out quite different from what she first planned on. A great story, with a bit more oomph to the story than some of the author’s more tame books. This one certainly has a bit of heat, but not too high a heat, so will appeal to a lot of readers.

I received an ARC copy of Heartbreaker from the author and I have also bought the Sweetest Obsession boxed set to work my way through. I have freely given my opinion of the first story I read in the collection above.

Whether your obsession is Alphas, Bad Boys, Friends (or Enemies) to Lovers, or Second Chance Romance, these 25 books will fill all of your literary romance needs for some time! Below is a sample of two of the books to give you an idea of what you’ll find in the collection.

*** Reviewing “HARD AS STONE” by K M Scott ***
Hard as Stone is part of the Heart of Stone series of books by this author. This is Ethan and Summer's story. Ethan’s parents want him to settle down, so he’s looking at the girl-next-door to help him fake a relationship that will still allow him to continue his current lifestyle. Ethan has his father’s looks and is just like him in every way – attractive, sexy, and a womanizer living the wild life. Summer, on the other hand, is the perfect woman his family would be delighted to see him bring home. She is sweet, beautiful, and intelligent, and she definitely catches Ethan’s attention, although not for the reasons she believes. Their sizzling relationship will hold the reader’s rapt attention. Yet the secrets being hidden away could tear them apart. Is it worth the risk? Or is it better to be truthful and make the relationship even stronger when you know you can trust?

I enjoyed the story and loved watching them work things out with each other as they learned to communicate better. The story line was good, well-paced, and the characters were likable.

*** Reviewing HARD AS STONE by MJ Masucci *** (same title, different author)
Samantha definitely needs a vacation where she can let her guard down and de-stress before she ends up killing her staff. She meets Austin Doyle just about when she lets the sun and sand relax her which makes her more susceptible to his charms. But both of them resist a relationship, battling their own insecurities, despite needing each other. Will they try to trust each other and start to heal enough to reach a HEA? Or will they both just walk away?

This was an enjoyable book once we got past Sam’s frenzy in the first chapter! The characters are interesting and the story line is good. With this entire box set of goodies, stretch out on the couch and enjoy the variety!
