Some of you already know that my favourite reads are second chance romance and this book felt written just for me. I know i have done a big mistake for not making time to read the previous books but i will for sure because these books are so good and unputable down.
I love that Monica chose to see the world and try to make a life for herself because she was still too young to give up at such an opportunity even if her heart was broken for leaving Gabe behind but sometimes is the best to do if we really want to become better person and be happy with ourselves.
Gabe is sexy and brooding and everything you can expect from such a character but i also felt bad for him for having his heart broken.
Years pass and when they get back it felt like nothing has changed because the sparkles, the lust, the love between them was there all this time and growing and becoming adults made it more valuable.
Just go and read all these books because you won't regret absolutely anything.

Oh my. I was very lucky to receive an ARC of this book. For one, it was very hard to put down. I totally enjoyed Monica and Gabe's story. It was tense, it was romantic, it kept me in suspense, it had twists and turns I never saw coming, gave me mixed emotions throughout and the ending was awesome. I was very happy with the ending, although I never suspected who was behind the incident that happened with Monica pretending to be a friend at a party. I enjoyed the way they all came together in this story. Oma was such a sweet woman and she lover her granddaughter so very much. Oma wanted her happy and she made it happen. A definite 5 star read and I would recommend this book. Thank you Krista.

First of, this is NOT my first nor last book by the lovely Krista Sandor. I am reviewing a ARC & couldn't have been more excited when I had received it. If you know me, I LOVE Krista Sandor's books...especially BOOK #3 The Beginning Of Home MY N I C K *swoon*...what was I saying...Oh right right. Therefore this is not new to me & I am super excited to give my review!

Gabe & Monica's story seems simple enough...girl lusts over boy for many years, boy does too but they don't know that about each other, then one day boy notices girl and things go downhill but right back uphill fast. Young love is the purest kind of love they say, they were right. Their love for one another is the unbreakable kind, until certain unfortunate life events occur and that unbreakable...becomes a possibility. My heart was racing the entire time!

Talk about a decade with a bang, both Gabe & Monica had their life's up's and down's...but find themselves back in their hometown for one reason...O M A the kickass German Grandmother i strive to be when i grow up! Oma can only be described as a free-bird...she is quirky, loud, bakes her heart out and also has so much love.

When well known Gabe and the beautiful Monica find themselves back in the same bakery where it all began, they decide to call it truce for the sake of the bakery, Oma and the event. What's great is that Michael & Emma, Zoe & Sam and Jenna & Ben all have a little set in this book, so great to have them from the previous books. Pretty hilarious, i will never forget the pantry with Ben & Jenna hahaha and little miss Kate who is super adorable!

Stolen glances, stolen touches, stolen kisses is what they are back to. When Monica's past comes peaking around, Gabe does his best to try and help. But with so much history between them and so much that has happened, can they both get back to the basics...the basics where a day filled with baking and a night filled with laughter and love?! You'll have to read to find out.

This book is a second chance at love, very addictive, full of action, love, passion and hope. It will captivate you and keep you wanting to know more. Complex yet simple, you will fall in love with Gabe & Monica and their world renown love story!

Favorite Quote:
"Kiss me like I know you want to kiss me."

I HIGH RECOMMEND this book, can be read as a stand alone ALTHOUGH i would recommend reading from the beginning of course. Book 1 is as captivating as Book 4...HIGHLY recommended series, if i could give this a higher than 5 stars i would! Krista Sandor knows romance & steamy sex scenes!

Great read. All of these Langley Park books have a perfect amount of angst and steam. This is a second chance romance but unlike most in this trope we get to be there for all of the first chance. From the first meeting to the heartbreaking end. They probably would have been happy together if it worked out the first time but they wouldn’t have been able to go out into the world and find themselves individually. And when they come back to Langley Park as adults they’ve definitely made something of themselves.
When I received this ARC I knew it could be read as a stand-alone but I didn’t want to feel like I was missing anything so I went ahead and read the whole series. I was not disappointed. There is a pattern to all of these story’s. And maybe I just read a lot but the villains couldn’t be more obvious from the readers perspective (which I like because I’m not a fan of mystery). But I thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of these books. I will be looking out for the next book in the series and after that lead up in the epilogue I’m really excited that Zoe will be getting her bit if angst and HEA. These keep getting better and better!

It was ok, but not the best. For me the plot seemed to go slow and fast and a little all over the place. My big issue was that the back story took up about 50% of the novel. If the backstory is going to play a big part then I want to feel loads of emotions and connections as well. Overall I did like the characters, but I feel for how much backstory we received there wasn't as much connection between them that I'd personally like developed.

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily reviewing.

This ARC was given to me by the author in exchange an honest review.

How much would you give up for your dream?

Then she meets Gabe Sinclair.

They promise to build a life together, but when offered a chance to model abroad, she chooses her dream over love.

She has something dangerous people want.

Something that could get her killed.

Can she trust Gabe to keep her safe after she broke his heart or will their tortured past tear them apart?

The Measure of Home is a steamy, second chance, small-town romance with no cheating, a swoon-worthy celebrity chef, and a happily ever after as sweet as cherry pie. Get ready to turn up the heat with Gabe Sinclair.

𝟥. 𝑅𝑒𝓋𝒾𝑒𝓌 𝑜𝒻 𝒞𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓇 𝒟𝑒𝓈𝒾𝑔𝓃:
Like all of the other covers in The Langley Park Series, the cover of The Measure of Home is perfection. Monica is portrayed on the cover with the iconic sunflowers that are seen in all four books and covers. Monica’s dark mane and red lips are the focal point and rightfully so.

𝟦. 𝑅𝑒𝓋𝒾𝑒𝓌 𝑜𝒻 𝐻𝑒𝓇𝑜:
Gabe Sinclair is introduced to us as an eighteen year old paperboy who can’t seem to keep his eyes off of Monica. He doesn’t think he is good enough to make his crush known, but when Monica needs help one night, he doesn’t think twice about stepping in. He’s sweet, sexy, creative, and can be a hot head when warranted (or not so much). The growth from beginning to end was portrayed with ease. Gabe receives a rating of 4.5/5

𝟧. 𝑅𝑒𝓋𝒾𝑒𝓌 𝑜𝒻 𝐻𝑒𝓇𝑜𝒾𝓃𝑒:
Monica is the girl that doesn’t fit in with the other girls in her private school. She’s the granddaughter of a baker in town and between her studies, she works her butt off along side her Oma. Monica has dreamed of becoming a model all her life and the decisions she makes to become one changes the course of her life and her being. When she hits rock bottom, she returns to Langley Park, but the danger isn’t far behind her. She steps when she needs to, helping her Oma in a time of need. She knows what she wants and what she needs to do in order to be happy. She’s flexible and caring. Monica’s Rating is a 4/5.

𝟨. 𝑅𝑒𝓋𝒾𝑒𝓌 𝑜𝒻 𝒫𝓁𝑜𝓉:
The fourth installment of this series is just what I imagined it would be. It’s everything and more. Gabe and Monica’s second chance romance hits all the feelings one would have in their situation. Years go by after their untimely departure from one another and it was like no time had passed at all when they see one another again. Gabe will do anything and everything to keep Monica at his side; and I mean anything. There’s just enough drama and angst to keep the reader on their toes. There’s twists and turns that you can’t expect coming. Krista Sandor always gives her very best in her stories and characters. She leaves you wanting more and wishing you could live in Langley Park with all these couples she has created.

𝒪𝓋𝑒𝓇𝒶𝓁𝓁 𝑅𝒶𝓉𝒾𝓃𝑔:
The Measure of Home, book number four in The Langley Park Series, has a 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 Rating.

Monica and Gabe fall in love as teenagers while working together in Monica's grandmother's bakery, after having have had crushes on each other for years, neither realizing the other felt the same way. They have plans to escape the town together after college, and Monica will pursue her dream of being a model. On the night of her 18th birthday, though, she is unexpectedly offered the chance to live her dream *now*, offer expiring in a matter of hours. Combined with some devastating news she receives, Monica takes the chance and goes, leaving notes for both Gabe and her Oma. Heartbroken, Gabe accepts Oma's proposal to go to New York to be a chef apprentice with a friend of hers there.

Fast forward several years, and Monica's once flourishing career has floundered. Evicted, she results to filling in for her sick friend as paid eye candy at a party, hoping to make some business contacts. When she is witness to a crime, she flees the party and decides to return home to Kansas. In the meantime, Gabe has become a world famous chef, with his own restaurant and being courted by a food network for his own show. After losing his temper with guests in his restaurant and going viral in the worst way, he returns home to Kansas for his cousin's wedding.

Monica and Gabe have a lot to overcome, but have a project uniting them - Oktoberfest in Kansas, Oma's labor of love. But can they overcome their histories and have a happily ever after?

What I liked: So much. Monica. Gabe. Oma. Monica and Gabe as teenagers were good, but as adults they are fire. They both needed the years to grow into who they needed to be. I liked the various storylines, too.

What I didn't like: There is just one thing that I kept questioning. However, I can't say what it is because spoilers (read that word in your best River Song voice for the full effect). But I will say that there was a heck of a coincidence and voices should have been recognized.

Overall: Great read. So many different emotions.

In high school Monica Brandt received a scholarship to attend the local private school and became best friends with Courtney Wilkes. She lived with her grandma above their family bakery and she wanted to fit in with the “rich kids”.
Gabe Sinclair works for his dad’s moving compmay and delivers newspapers. He has always had feelings for Monica but she has not really noticed him until one night when he helps her out.
When Monica leaves town to follow her own dreams, her Oma gives Gabe a chance to follow his dreams as well. When the two both return to Langley Park years later will there be anything left between them? Will the reason Monica came back to Langley Park follow her back?
This is another great book in the series and I am really enjoying them.
Monica was a great character right at the beginning and then I was mad at her for leaving Oma and Gabe. I understood that she wanted to follow her dreams but the way she just left them both broke my my heart after everything they both had done for her. I was so sad with the situation that Monica found herself in at the party as that was not fault of her own and freaky!!
Gabe was able to make something of himself but he was exhausted and done with leading the life he found himself in. I was glad that he decided to take some time for himself and get his head together by heading back to Langley Park.
I loved how both Gabe and Monica but everything aside to help Oma after she was injured and the two slowly began to talk everything over and figure out where they were both at. I loved how things began to progress between the two of them and it made me happy!
The reason Monica returned to Langley Park was extremely relevant and I wondered how everything was going to come together. I totally was not expecting what happened and who was involved! Loved the twists and totally shocked at the one revelation!
The very end was awesome and I loved how it all came together! - By Rebecca

She was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen, encased inside the bakery’s picture window like a living piece of art.

There are no words describe how much I am in love with Langley Park. The Measure of Home did not disappoint! Gabe and Monica’s story was sweet, it was heartbreaking and it was sexy.

Gabe had spent years watching Monica while he delivered the morning paper, until one day he was able to express how he truly felt and the rest was history. Both Gabe and Monica wanted to feel like the belonged in the world, they had dreams, they had hopes and they had plans together, but fate didn’t seem to work out in their favor. They both go their separate ways, but end up back in Langley Park working together again, thanks to everyone’s favorite Oma.

Mise en place is a way of life where, order, precision, and perfection reign supreme.

I couldn’t put this book down. I am in love with Gabe and Monica’s story. I can’t say I feel bad for Monica after what she did. I was truly rooting for Gabe throughout the story. He deserved everything he had worked so hard for.

Oma is serious goals though. I was in love with her from the start! She reminded me of my Oma. She was feisty, hardworking and she knew what was going on. She loved both her granddaughter, Monica, but she also loved Gabe.

This is another fantastic story from Krista. I definitely recommend to start at book one in the series, though, this could be read as a standalone, the others are fantastic and give you some background into some of the other characters.

You are not measured by where you come from or what you have or don’t have. You will be measured by what you do. You will be measured by how hard you work.

Wow! Make sure you’ve got nothing planned once you open this book because you will not be able to put it down! Krista Sandor brilliantly combines sweet swoony second chance romance with gripping suspense, shocking twists and turns, and of course some fantastic friends and family in The Measure Of Home. I constantly found myself bouncing between happy sighing at Gabe and Monica and biting my nails in anticipation for the unraveling mystery.
Monica and Gabe were both completely different, yet uncannily similar at the same time. Both feeling even from a young age the need to prove themselves to others but also living very different lives. The sweet young love that blossoms then tears apart only to come back even more explosive when life thrusts these two back together is pure beauty while still filled with the ups and downs that come with all new relationships. Side by side with the electric chemistry these two have is a suspenseful mystery that weaves throughout their story and keeps you guessing every time you thing you’ve figured it out. That all combines to create a truly captivating read that will have you falling even more in love with this series!

I am voluntarily reviewing this ARC.

I am in love! A few names come to mind when I think of the perfect literary man...Christian, Gabriel, Gideon, Kellan, Wrath, and now, Gabe. Gabe is just everything I like to read in a hero. He loved Monica from the time he was 12 years old. He watched her in a non creepy way. He protected her. He was trustworthy of her heart. Monica was complicated. Her love for Gabe was all consuming, but she had opportunities she couldn’t ignore. The separation could have been the end, but this is where my love for this book only got stronger. The love and forgiveness was so tender and heart melting. And don’t get me started on Oma (Monica’s grandmother and guardian). I think I love her almost as much as I love Gabe. This book is my favorite so far of the first 4. I am thrilled to hear that there is a book 5 in the works as well!!! This book is a must read, five stars out of five, super sexy, heartfelt, amazing book!

I was honored to receive an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I also purchased a copy because I am a Langley Park Superfan!

This series has my whole heart. I have never read about more compassionate and caring men! Excuse me whole I go swoon. Krista’s writing leaves me absolutely addicted and I can never hurry through my day fast enough to get to her books.

This story was delightful. Gabe and Monica are so sweet. I am a sucker for young love. It was incredible to see time flash forward and them come together again. I was intrigued by the suspense of the plot and kept wanting to read more. Langley Park has a piece of my heart! I would recommend this series to anyone, from my momma to fellow millennials! Krista has rich descriptions that send you right to Langley Park with all of the vivid characters and scenes.

While this book can be read as a stand-alone, do yourself a favor and read them all. You won’t be disappointed.

Meet Gabe and Monica, certainly the most melodramatic pair in the Langley Park series; however, out of all the couples we’ve met their start as a couple was long-term compared to everyone else. Once they get over the dramatics and childish angst after seeing each other for the first time after years of separation, it’s all sweet and steamy.

This little world of Langley Park is growing with its connections of family, friendships, and businesses. Couples crossover into each other’s stories that allows for great world building.

Same as the previous three books, this is a second chance romance with a touch of a sinister element. The sinister element shows up in a beginning and the end of the book, so just when you think the author can’t wrap it all up, she does. Hands down if you enjoyed the first three books, then you’ll enjoy this one. Though the ending to the epilogue to set up book five has me on the edge of my seat. Book five can’t come soon enough.

This book is beautiful and heart warming. I fell inlove with Monica and Gabe’s romance.

We get introduced to this couple when they are just beginning adulthood. Gabe fell inlove with Monica from afar. They both used to watch each other covertly. There were sparks and and instant connection during their first offical meeting but there is a misunderstanding on Monica’s side. Gabe later has to rescue Monica and take the blame for something he did not do. By doing so, he also has to take the punishment but that turns out to be a blessing. He gets to be close to Monica but immense heartbreak comes his way. Monica gets presented with an opportunity to pursue her dreams. She takes it leaving her heart and a devastated Gabe behind.

Years later Gabe is a successful celebrity chef and Monica is a struggling model. She has to flee back to Langley park after being witness to something she was not supposed to. Gabe also has to return home after her received some negative publicity. Their first meeting is “messy” and Gabe is resentful while Monica is embarrassed but they have to put aside their feelings and come together to help Monica’s grandmother. They discover that they never stopped loving each other and Gabe will always come to Monica’s rescue.

This is my second book by Krista Sandor and I loved it. Her books show me that love so beautiful and true can withstand time and distance.

This SERIES, let me tell you!!!! Ugh it is so amazing! I am loving the thriller/suspenseful romance they all have. It keeps me on my toes but at the same time all mushy inside with their love stories!
Gabe and Monica did not disappoint! Her paperboy and his princess locked away in a bakery was a fairytale awaiting but this fairytale took a different turn.
They both wanted outta the small town and follow their dreams but they didn’t think they could do it together. So Monica takes off on her own to follow the career path she has always wanted for herself and Gabe takes a path he didn’t know he ever wanted but ends up loving it. Then they meet again back in that small town they wanted to leave so badly but now they have each again and never want to leave!

I am not really sure how Krista does it but this series gets better with each addition!

Monica and Gabe’s story is off the charts awesome! The people in this town are amazing and real and so deeply entrenched in my reader heart! I love how we have another couple that were meant to be but they also were meant to be apart for a time! Sometimes you have to leave a place and person to know when you come back it’s the right place to be! It’s definitely got lots of heat and love!

Each time Krista releases a book I know I will feel right at home in Langley Park, surrounded by a deep sense of rightness!

Krista Sandor has struck gold again with the latest installation in the Langley Park series. Monica and Gabe burn up the pages with their second chance at love! I enjoyed reading about their mistakes and foibles and how they tried to make things right. Their soul deep connection and sexy banter kept me turning the pages! The suspense plot started with a bang and then was kept at a low simmer while Gabe and Monica reunited in Langley Park until the final scenes when the danger in Monica's life came to a head. I loved getting a peek into the live's of the previous couples in Langley Park!

Don’t read this book if you are hungry. Don’t read it after eating a mediocre dessert. Why you ask????? Because this story will make you want to eat all things German desserts, especially strudels! I made the mistake of starting this book after eating lunch and had to stop to Pinterest and Google my little heart out.

Monica Brandt lives with her grandmother, otherwise known as Oma. Her parents died in a freak climbing accident when she was little. Now she lives above the bakery her grandmother owns and helps out every chance she can. Up early at 5 am to help prep and make fresh pastries, she is able to also steal hidden glances of Gabe Sinclair as he delivers the paper every morning.

Gabe Sinclair has always wanted to talk to the girl in the bakery but has never had to courage to start up a conversation. However, one night his cousin Michael MacCaron asks him if he wants to play some two on two with some spoiled rich kids. Gabe had just finished working for his dad with their moving company, but can’t turn down beating some kids in basketball. Once they arrive at the courts, he sees Monica and learns her name. Later that night he follows Monica to outside her house and saves her for humiliation and from spending a night in jail.

After working side by side all summer Monica gets her dream dropped in her lap. She has always wanted to be a model and travel around the world, but especially go and visit Paris. When she drops off a last-minute delivery, she also ends up trying on dresses and offered the chance of a lifetime. The problem is will Michael wait for her?

Michael realizes Monica has left and is following her dreams. Realizing that he has to go back to his life as a professional mover, he is also offered a chance of the lifetime.

Will Michael and Monica be able to keep their relationship and live happily ever after? Or will the separation and long distance get to them? Also…exactly how many of you started to google strudel or German desserts?!?!?!

I highly recommend this book and have been blessed and honored to been given an opportunity to read an ARC from Krista Sandor. Each book is just as good as the last, but this one spoke to my food loving heart. If you love to cook and/or bake this is a book to read. If you like romance and books that can be read in one sitting or are willing to sacrifice sleep and work on 4 hours of rest before working a 12-hour shift…. then this is your book.

Perfect second chance romance story!

I was captured from page one. From blurb we know why this story will be a second chance in the love. While in other books some retrospection is very often annoying and not necessary, here it is perfectly put in place. The story line is very precisely thought through and gave me the feeling of flowing through pages. I read this in one sitting and I enjoyed very much each and every twists and turn. I loved the angst, the suspense and how everything unravelled at the end.
The characters are perfectly developed and not only main characters. I will for sure read rest of the books from the series as this is my first book of this author.

This is a well written second chance romance between Monica and Gabe. The author does a great job building the story and bringing strong likable characters who have a very strong connection and a hot and steamy romance. I loved their bantering along the way. It's a suspenseful story with a happy ending. I enjoyed and would recommend this book.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.

What keeps me coming back for more when reading Krista Sandor’s books is the slight hint of suspense that abounds them. Not only are they great romance books but they also include great mysteries/intrigue that keep me hooked, wanting more.

I stayed up reading this book from beginning to end and though I’m practically falling asleep from how tired I am.. it is so above and beyond worth it.

I thought I couldn’t love anyone more than the characters from the second books, but Monica and Gabe proved me wrong by a long-shot and I’m so happy to have read it.

I’m so amazed at authors who can continue to write stories with deep emotion and messages.

The Measure of Home makes you think of what home means to you. Ms. Sandor brings forth Gabe and Monica’s story in a way that makes you become invested in their lives.

Excellent addition to the Langley Park Series!

🌻 **ARC REVIEW**
I can't believe I made it to book #4!!! You have no idea how much i'm anticipating Book #5

The story of Gabe and Monica is so heartbreaking and beautiful. Two young teenagers who find themselves in love in a moment in their life when they cherish every second. Just one moment in time changes everything and leaves Gabe in a speechless situation, he knew Monica was ambitious and eager but not as far as to move on without him and let go of their love he thought they had.

A moment in time and they meet again... Will their impromptu discovery become a happy one?

The Langley Park Series does not disappoint, each story is written beautifully and each and every character has their own story to tell. This is the story of Gabe and Monica! Enjoy every moment and enjoy the life that Langley Park has developed.

The book is a good romantic suspense read. The book is a good addition to the series. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry. The story is a good second chance at romance with some suspense, and twists read.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
