4.4 out of 5 stars 53 ratings

She knows what she's looking for in a man. And if she doesn't get it, she'll send you on your way with a fond farewell and a fruit basket.

When an unexpected job opportunity lands Cassidy Jenson at Mason Alexander’s feet, it’s hate at first sight.

Guarded, aloof and a complete workaholic, he’s everything she knows she doesn’t want. Despite his god-like looks, the only emotion he ignites in her is frustration. Cassidy can confidently claim that her boss is not the man for her—no fruit basket needed.

But there’s a thin line between love and hate, and it doesn’t take long before the friction in the air turns into light-hearted teasing then palpable heat.

She’s the sunshine to his gloom.

He’s the sane to her crazy.

Succumbing to their feelings becomes as inevitable as frosting on a cupcake.

But when your past is guiding your future, falling in love isn’t easy. And it’s made harder when your dreams don’t align. Now, Cassidy and Mason need to decide what’s really important to them.

If they’re brave enough, they might just find themselves taking the biggest risk of all. Creating a new dream…together.

USA Today Bestselling author, Amali Rose is a former blogger from Australia, who released her debut novella in 2017.

A self confessed bookworm, her love affair with the written word began as a child, with The Magic Faraway Tree. Her tastes have grown and evolved over the years and, after stumbling into the indie community a few years ago, she discovered her passion for romance with a side of smut.

When not reading or writing, Amali enjoys baking, yoga, cheesy pop music, netflix marathons, and she believes strongly that pink, puppies and chocolate make the world a better place!

If I thought Under The Cherry Blossoms was great, then this is brilliant! Written with a finesse that is hard to fathom because it’s only her second book, Amali Rose delivers witty sass, believable situations, lovable characters and all the steamy, dirty stuff we love. Seriously, what’s not to love about Cassidy - she’s the girl everyone wants as their best friend. I am in love with Amali’s writing style and delivery. It is fresh and unique and a joy to read.

This author knows how to make an entrance..into a story..that sets your heart rate flying high! She had me hooked instantly!

Cassidy is a strong, sassy woman who's dream is to own and run her own cupcake bakery. Mason is the CEO of a big company and being under thirty this is considered a remarkable achievement, the only issue is that he hates his job! When he hires Cassidy part time his world is completely turned upside down!

Good humour sets the pace of the story with comments like:
'Sink the sausage like a porn star' and when Cassidy thinks to herself...
"I’ve learned over the years that it helps if the employer at least feels like they’re the one in charge. Even if that is usually far from the truth." ...so funny and often the truth too! It is balanced with a solid storyline.

This fast paced story is told from both lead characters perspectives, allowing readers the opportunity to better understand each character. The only reason I gave it 4.5 stars is that the time apart between them became a little tedious.

I totally recommend this story to everyone who likes romance with a sprinkle of humour throughout.

** Review by Gayle from Bloggers From Down Under **

Dandelion Dreams is a Fleurs DAmour Novella and damn guys what a novella.

We meet both Cassidy and Mason in this well written, light-hearted, deliciously naughty novella and for me it was instant love.

Cassidy has a tragic past, which unfortunately has carried into her present.  Her walls are erected, never allowing anyone, and I mean anyone in. She has her besties in Skye and Wyatt, and her sister Lay, her to go girls, but that's it. Cassidy is a no go zone.

But that is until she gets fired. Yes people she gets fired. Desperate for a job, her bestie Skye pulls in a favor. There is a job opening that Cassidy cannot refuse, because hey, after-all bills need to be paid.

So Cassidy becomes an assistant to none other than Mason.
And boy is he all things delicious.

So what happens when our very own smart, sassy, confident and foul mouthed Cassidy has to work with an over worked, sinfully sculptured, broody and dominant Mason....

    You get one explosive read!!

Guys you cannot look past this novella. It's sheer brilliance.
A mixture of all things sinfully naughty, fun, light and heartwarming, Dandelion Dreams is a beauty of a read.
    But be warned.....
Cassidy is all things freaking crazy with no filter what-so-ever and you will fall in love with her in an instant.
And Mason, well lets just say he's very lickable.....Oops I mean likable!!
Together....They are all things beautifully perfect.

An enemies to lovers office romance full of smoking hot chemistry, shenanigans and laughter and love.

Cassidy is fun, loud, un-filtered a little bit crazy. She flits from job to job whenever the mood strikes. She’s working to save for her dream; opening her own bakery.

Mason is successful, motivated and totally wrapped up in his job. He’s so driven he’s lost focus and forgot what it’s like to be happy.

Cassidy was just fired and Mason needs a new admin. These two are brought together by mutuall bff’s. At first it’s like oil and water. Cassidy goes out of her way to drive Mason crazy and it’s hilarious. But soon the tension turns sexual and these two can’t stay away.

Everyone needs a Cassidy in their life. She makes everything go from dull and dismal to bright and fun! But she’s got her own demons from the past holding her back. And Mason is too busy working himself to death because he’s always striving to be enough. These two struggle to find themselves because you can’t be happy until you’ve carved your path to your dream. But maybe the dream needs to change?

I love this author’s writing. Another great story. You have to let go in order to move forward. And sometimes when you think the last thing you need is a certain someone, turns out to be exactly what you need.

Dandelion Dreams is the second of A Fleurs d'amour series. It can be read as a standalone but you get so much more if you've read the first.

Here we meet Cassidy, who is a complete spitfire, says and does what she wants kind of girl. She is one who would kick butt if needed one second or give you a laugh or a hug the next. She hides her softer side but I love when she exposes it. Mason is the opposite, always serious but there when you need him. He too has a soft side that he hides. They manage to sneak past each other's walls and the fun begins before that even happens.

I love the dynamic between the two of them. Even though they can drive each other crazy they mesh in their own way, getting each other.

There are a lot of good laughs, thanks to the banter between the two, as well as building tension leading to some sexy scenes.

Amali does a great job of providing moments of laughter and tears, smoothly transitioning between each. I find it hard not to get sucked in with these characters and stories. I'm really excited to see what she comes up with next.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fast, fun and fabulous read

Book 2 in the A Fleurs d'amour Novella series, this is a new to me author, and I thought she did a great job of making this book work as a standalone. I didn't feel like I was missing out by not having read book 1, though it's definitely on my TBR now as I've already 1-clicked it. 😀

The story really hooked me right from the start wth that prologue--plus enemies to lovers and boss-employee relationships are two of my favorite tropes--but it was Cassidy who really made the book: she is simply a fabulous character, and I loved her snarky attitude. She had me laughing time and time again with all her antics, and the dialogue between Cassidy and the other characters had me rolling. I loved Mason, too; he was the perfect match for Cassidy and I loved watching the two of them together. Lots of great secondary characters as well--the little glimpses of Tanya had me adoring her, and I'm looking forward to all the details on Skye and Ben in book 1.

It really surprised me that this was only the author's second book, as I found it to be extremely well-written; better in fact than a lot of books I've read by much more experienced authors. The ending did feel a little abrupt to me on my first read-through, but the second time through (yes, I got sucked into doing a re-read when I was looking over my notes for this review, always the mark of a great read for me) it seemed to work a lot better, so it might have just been a state of mind thing the first time around. And I loved the epilogue both times! ❤️

A fast, fun and fabulous read, and an author I'll be watching for in the future. 5 fab stars

Cassidy is a spitfire. She tells it like it is but has a softer side she’s afraid to show. She doesn’t do vulnerable well at all. She suffered a loss in college and that has followed her into her adult life and affected many decisions along the way. She is always losing jobs left and right but dreams of owning a bakery keep her going. It’s when the job of assistant to Mason that she thinks she may have met her match.
Mason is 29 and a CEO which is a job that didn’t come with great sacrifice. He works to take care of his mom despite her insistence she can do it alone. He has no social life and is basically an arrogant jerk. He doesn’t want to drag someone down into his bleak life until a certain pink haired firecracker enters his office. He embarks on a crazy journey with Cassidy and it’s not all fun and games.
We met Cassidy in Under the Cherry Blossoms and we got just a small glimpse of how brash and bold she can be. The mouth on this girl would make a sailor blush. I like Mason despite his jerky alpha male attitude. This book in Amalis signature style balances heart with good sexy times. It’s also a lot of story packed into a quick read but that makes it much more fun. I would totally suggest these books to everyone!

Reviewed For I'm A Sweet And Sassy Book Whore

Dandelion Dreams had me laughing out loud more than once while reading it. I loved the banter between Cassidy aka Crazy and Mason aka Sunshine. These two loved to push each other’s buttons in almost a weird foreplay that just builds and builds until it explodes.

Cassidy is a smart @$$, she has no filter and isn’t afraid to be her loud crass self. I loved the way these two were together. When Mason would call Cassidy Crazy it wasn’t to be mean it was his pet name for her and it totally fit. Mason was an overworked cranky @$$%^&* at times but once you understand why he is working so hard your heart melts and you can see the guy who really is amazing. I loved the references from one of my favorite all time movies, Sweet Home Alabama, and ironically enough I was watching the movie at the same time I was reading Dandelion Dreams, I like to have back ground noise while reading and I think it made me love the book even more.

I haven’t read the previous book but I am going to as soon as I am able because I have a feeling that this author is going to become one of my go to authors if she keeps writing the way she is. Dandelion Dreams was a much-needed laugh and escape during a really bad couple of days, now I can’t wait for spring to come so that I pick some dandelions and make wishes, although my husband may not be thrilled but oh well he wouldn’t understand. Make sure you have this on your TBR lists, you won’t be disappointed.
