    This is another fabulous series by Melissa Foster, thankfully on Kindle Unlimited.
    The wonderful Steele family live on Silver Island, but writer, Jack 'Jock' Steele currently lives in Bayside, where he has hired a cabin at Bayside Resort.
    He has had eyes on the voluptuous and very sexy single mum, Daphne Zablonski, who manages the office for the resort.
    But he suffers from triggers associated with his past and wonders whether he will ever be good enough to deserve Daphne and her sweet little girl.
    In the end, love of family and love of the deep and romantic kind, will heal the wounds of the past.

    I loved it! The main characters were developed well and I knew everything about them although there is a host of other characters and at times it was hard to keep up with who's a twin, a sister, brother, cousin, who's married to whom. There is a large cast.

    Hadley was this adorable almost three years old with lots of character and an amazing single mom, Daphne and she falls for Jack (Jock) who has a lot of baggage but between the two of them heal the part of their soul that has been hurting.

    I love the cover, the flow and the timing I RECOMMEND this book wholeheartedly.

    All I can say Melissa’s writing gets better every book! With this you can catch up with old friends but Melissa gives you enough background that your clued in, or just start a new book from a great author. The characters are excellent and well thought out! You will fall in love with Hadley and love Daphne’s great outlook on life, Jock is as usual a gorgeous H and with “his girls” sees the light to a difficult life situation. You will laugh cry and not want to finish the book, I can’t wait for more from this series..

    Tempted By Love - Book 1 of Melissa Foster’s The Steeles At Silver Island, is Jack/Jock Steele’s book. How I just started reading Melissa’s books is a mystery to me because with each book I have read, I am mesmerized by her words. This book is an incredibly beautiful and touching single parent romance. But honestly it’s more than that. It’s about second chances, not just in love, but in life.

    Daphne is a single mom. She is dedicated to her daughter, Hadley, and is doing a damn good job raising her all on her own. This sweet, curvaceous beauty, has one goal, make her child happy and she works hard at it every day. Jock is a knight in dented armor. He is, in Daphne’s words beautifully “wounded” not broken, by the events in his past and his struggles to overcome everything and be the man he needs to be, to fully love Daphne and Hadley, makes this book a mesmerizing read.

    I fell in love with all three of them, one page at a time. My book loving heart melted, over and over again with each sigh inducing kiss, Daphne and Jock shared and each and every time Hadley said “my Dock”, I sighed long and hard. Never have I ever wanted to see three people get their happily ever after as much as these three. It was absolutely perfect. This book is absolutely perfect. TBR Tempted By Love and enjoy.

    Vraiment chaque roman de Melissa Foster est un vrai régal et "Tempted by love", le tome 1 de sa série "The Steeles at Silver Island" consacré à Jack devenu Jock Steele, un homme que l'on a croisé dans plusieurs romans et notamment dans le dernier de la série "Bayside summers", "Bayside Fantasies" : Tegan, l'héroïne, venait prendre possession de l'héritage de son oncle et Jock était aussi couché sur le testament : on avait alors découvert que cet homme avait perdu sa petite amie et son bébé lors d'un accident et que depuis de nombreuses années, il essayait de refaire surface, en vain. Pourtant, il avait attiré l'attention d'une jeune mère célibataire (divorcée) Daphne Zablonski mais surtout de sa fille de 3 ans, Hadley, une adorable petite puce qui va trouver le coeur de cet homme si durement blessé et qui a perdu sa muse (il est auteur) mais le chemin pour trouver le bonheur est long et bien qu'attiré par Daphné et sa fille, Jock semble atteint de troubles psychologiques et les repousse toutes les deux : il est incapable de répondre à l'amour de cette petite fille. Pourra-t-il alors combattre ses démons, devenir l'homme dont la mère et la fille, qui ont déjà, elles aussi, souffert, ont tant besoin?     je vous l'ai dit, j'ai adoré cette histoire touchante à souhait et je suis tombée sous le charme des familles des héros et notamment des Steele : il y a des personnages attachants à souhait et j'ai hâte de lire leurs histoires.
    Quant à nos héros, ce sont deux personnes marquées par la vie et qui ont leurs démons à combattre : Daphne est une mère seule car le père de sa fille n'a pas voulu d'elle et les a abandonnées : elle est encore profondément marquée par cet échec de son couple et elle souffre pour sa fille.
    Bien qu'elle voit qu'Hadley est attirée comme elle, par Jock, elle comprend qu'ils n'ont aucun avenir s'il continue à rejeter la petite fille : elle pense qu'il est comme son ex alors qu'absolument pas. Jack/Jock m'a déchirée le coeur plus d'une fois car on sent que lui aussi souffre de ne pas pouvoir répondre à l'amour démesuré de cette petite fille qui le voit en un homme idéal. Il va devoir trouver la force et les réponses pour aller au-delà de ses souffrances et se battre pour être l'homme qu'elles méritent.
    Daphne est une mère géniale car même si elle est très attirée par Jock, elle fait passer sa fille avant tout et est prêt à renoncer à lui. C'est une femme sensuelle, généreuse, attachante, lumineuse et tout en courbes (ça fait du bien de ne pas avoir que des héroïnes au physique parfait) mais qui doute : il lui faudra tout l'amour de Jack pour lui redonner confiance en elle.
    J'ai adoré ses échanges avec sa famille (son frère jumeau ou sa soeur) mais aussi la fratrie de Jock et elle sera un vrai soutien dans sa quête de réconciliation avec son jumeau.

    On sourit, on est ému, on souffre pour les héros et surtout on ne peut que craquer pour l'adorable Hadley , la fille de Daphne qui est un amour de petite fille qui va trouver le coeur de Jock et le guérir.

    Bref, encore une réussite et on n'a qu'une hâte, lire celui d'après.
