"And just like that, she shared her light, leading him out of the darkness."
I know there are a lot of Melissa’s books that I still haven’t had the pleasure of reading, so I jump into one every now and then.
This one started off slower, but it captured my heart just the same.
"He could negotiate circles around the toughest competitors, and yet this petite, sharp-witted, blond-haired beauty had thrown him off his game? That was damn refreshing."
Tegan is my kind of heroine. Having lost someone in her family she cared deeply about, she may not know exactly who she is or where she’s going, but she’s up for an adventure. To explore, try new things, find herself. And she doesn’t take BS from anyone. Especially not a guy who seems to be as full of himself as Jett Masters.
"It sounds to me like your mind is a pretty scary place. Like all your ghosts came rushing out of the closet at once."
Here’s the deal about Jett, though—he’s a lot more than people give him credit for. People see him as a businessman who only cares about money and never comes home to see his family. Like he’s somehow better. He’s not, nor does he think he is.
"Do I fluster you, Miss Fine?"
"My fuck-me boots fluster me. You amuse me."
They seem all wrong for each other, but when they meet, sparks fly. OK, well, that and banter, because she’s not gonna take his attitude just because. “Armani” has another thing coming. And damn it if that doesn’t intrigue him even more.
"You can trust me. I’ll never hurt you. I only want to make you feel good."
Once Tegan knows who he is, and that they have a few friends in common, it’s only a matter of time until they get together. And she does something that is unlike her—she gives herself one night with him. Maybe more, but only as a Friends With Benefits. Because they’re not looking for anyone, and they most certainly wouldn’t work.
"Maybe that’s it. His absence magnifies the silence."
Here’s the deal about friends with benefits: it works if the guy doesn’t come around the next day to help in the middle of a storm. If he’s not absurdly attentive and listens to every single thing you say. If he doesn’t only have a good working… tool… but also a giant heart that no one is listening to.
And FWB most definitely doesn’t work when they start missing each other.
"I want to know everything there is to know about you."
"That’s not a secret about you."
"Isn’t it, though?"
You see, Jett travels a lot; it’s the nature of his business, and he’s used to it. Tegan is an adventurer who is in Bayside to handle her late uncle’s legacy, and then she’ll leave.
They seem right on paper.
But that’s only because no one ever gave either of them a reason to stay.
"They were fire and rain, desert and meadows, flying, crashing, sinking, floating. They were powerless and powerful at once, existing on a new plane."
If you’ve read other Melissa books, you’ll meet many of her other characters. I loved those tidbits, especially since I know what’s coming to most of them.
As usual with Melissa, other things are happening that will amplify their feelings and make them relatable, even if your life is nothing like theirs. And the small town feeling of people helping and coming together for something… I love it.
"When you and I kissed, it was like there was never anyone before you."
I loved that Tegan can see right through him—see the man he really is, the one she can bring out, and she stands up for him. And I loved that he would do anything for her, anytime, anywhere, and that he keeps her safe.
If that’s not love…
"It doesn’t matter where we are, just having you with me makes me feel like I’m right where I’m supposed to be."
Go ahead and see the world on your own, meet new people, make money, buy companies and sell them for twice the money… it doesn’t really matter. What matters is finding a home to come back to.

Bayside Fantasies is the sixth book in the Bayside Summer series and can be read as a standalone. It tells the story of Teagan Fine and Jett Masters. Readers following the series would have met Teagan in Bayside Romance. Teagan is mourning the loss of her great uncle, who played a pivotal role in her life. Being the principal beneficiary of his estate, she returned to the Cape to continue his legacy.
Jett used to live on the Cape, however his estrangement from his father led to his visits home being far and few and even those are rife with tension. Jett was the consummate workaholic. He had no life outside of work. Not only was he intense, he was hot, sexy and smart. The more readers learn about him, the more they would understand the reasoning behind his actions.
Teagan was the complete opposite of Jett. They were the epitome of the adage, ‘opposites attract’. She was carefree, family oriented and a firm believer in 'Paying it Forward’. She believed, like her great uncle, that laughter was the perfect medicine.
Their initial meeting did not get off to a wonderful start, however one thing was certain their chemistry was undeniable. It sizzled and burned throughout the story. As they got to know each other, their attraction towards each other evolved into a love that was not only passionate but pure.
One can appreciate the growth demonstrated by Jett throughout the story. By the end he was no longer uptight and consumed by work. He learnt how to enjoy life. Without a doubt Teagan brought out the best in him.
For readers who enjoy family dynamics and the camaraderie between friends, Ms. Foster did not disappoint. Bayside Fantasies was filled with both. Characters from the previous books made an appearance and aided in moving the story forward. Fans of the series will enjoy catching up with their favourite characters,
As much as this was an enjoyable read, the story was not without its issues. There were a few scenes whuch one may consider cheesy and over the top and there were areas where the story dragged, which may not go down well with some readers.
Conclusion/Recommendation.
Bayside Romance is a story about discovering love. It highlights friendship and family. Fans of the author will enjoy this latest in the Bayside Summer series.

Bayside Fantasies was the sixth book in the Bayside Summers series by Melissa Foster. And it was one of many in the Love In Bloom series.
Jett Masters was married to his work. He was gorgeous, flirty, intense, sexy and a business wizard. He was also the brother to Dean (book two, Bayside Passions). We knew he had issues with his home town and his father but we didn’t know any details until Foster began unraveling them throughout the plot.
We had met Tegan Fine on several occasions within previous books (sister to Cici in Cooper, Wild Boys After Dark, and friend to many others in the Love in Bloom series). She was artistic with a carefree spirit that worked multiple eclectic jobs to stay afloat. Her positive light shined and left happiness and brightness in her wake. She just inherited her uncles amphitheater and was determined to make it a success.
Jett and Tegan sparked immediately - both positive and negative, but the pull was automatic. They both didn’t have the time nor desire for a relationship but when their paths continued to cross, they agreed to one night of pure fire. They were both incredibly stubborn so they refused to do or talk abut things that looked like a commitment.
The journey was a long one because it started so long ago for Jett and was culminating by meeting Tegan. I actually related to the workaholic Jett. He had a life time of running and his brilliant business mind coupled with his life long habits weren’t going to change overnight without a struggle. Tegan had her own journey in a much different way but I enjoyed how they meshed and ultimately made each other whole.
As expected from Foster, Bayside Fantasies was well written, well developed, included a complex plot and was filled with all of the quirky and fun secondary characters that we’ve come to enjoy within the series. And the title was fitting - but you’ll have to read it for the sexy details!
Foster has been flirting with Chloe and Justin for several books and we’ll finally get their story in A Little Bit Wicked, book one, The Dark Knights, Bayside. Then we’ll be blessed with Daphne and Jock’s story in the new series The Steele’s at Silver Island.

Jett and Tegan balance one another out and I really enjoyed watching their one-night-stand turn into more, much, much more. As with all of Melissa Fosters books that I have read, this was a fun, sexy, sweet, and HOT read.

BAYSIDE FANTASIES by Melissa Foster is book 6 in the Bayside Summer Series. This is the story of Tegan Fine and Jett Masters. I have read the previous books (and Loved them!) which of course added to my enjoyment of this one, but I do feel you could make this a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Tegan has moved to Bayside because her Uncle Harvey has died and left her his amphitheater and home. Tegan wants to keep with his memory and make sure to move forward with her Uncle's good deeds. Jett is all business and works pretty much from sun up to sun down we learn but has come home to Bayside for a personal commitment. Tegan and Jett happen to have a chance meeting which of course has made them take a step back because neither is looking or has time for a relationship but the sparks are brewing hot. When a storm hits the town, they end up working together. Along with trying for a friends with benefits relationship, but that isn't meeting how they really feel or what they are starting to want from each other.
Enjoyed this book and this author's writing.

This is the sixth book in this series, and as any Foster fan knows, has links to many other books in the series. I LOVE this fact, as it gives us a chance to catch up with old friends, to remember themes and incidents along with the pleasure of a new romance unfolding.
Tegan has moved into her darling Uncle Harvey's house and is determined to continue his legacy, and expand it at the amphitheatre. We meet her at the beginning of a stormy weekend, with much on her mind as plans progress. She meets a dangerously gorgeous man whilst out on errands, and knows immediately that he is something special. Happenstance means that they meet again and decide to act on their crazy attraction.
As we get their story from both Jett and Tegan's viewpoint, we get to see what special people they both are, and how together they are a force for good. I loved that their friends and family are both excited and troubled at how things will work out, mostly concerned that Tegan does not deserve his workaholic ways to cause her pain.
There is so much lovely humour, some extremely moving moments (tissue moments warning!), some of the most fun adventures, and a level of passion and desire - all of which jump off the page and give the reader another wonderful installment fro Bayside.
This is a big HIT for me, I hope you love it too!

HOT, SEXY, DELICIOUS, true Melissa Foster . . .
Melissa Foster brings the heat and sensual with her latest addition to the Bayside Summers series in the Love In Bloom family. Snarky. Sexy. Sassy. Arrogant. Alpha. Passion. Chemistry. The two we meet here are full of so much that they could be called opposites of the same coin. Their ideas of life, career, and goals are different but yet the same with different paths to the end goal. Teagan and Jett give us one passionate journey to their love and life together. Watching them two of them come together was a story all to itself. Watching them work together to help the greater good just added more to their story.
Melissa Foster finds a way to pull out stops and provide a read that lures you in deeper to the love of ones heart. The pages turn effortlessly. The story flows. Meeting old and new friends allow for the world(s) she create to expand and become more.

Bayside Fantasies is the sixth book in the Bayside Summers series by Melissa Foster. The main characters are Tegan, our heroine, who has recently moved to her dead uncle's house and is trying to sort things out while also helping her friend Harper (yes, the heroine of the 5th book) and Jett, Dean's brother from Bayside passions (book #2), a workaholic with daddy issues.
I liked the antithesis of our two main characters. Tegan had a very close and loving relationship with her uncle and you could easily see that from her words when she was talking about him. Jett, on the other hand, had a bad relationship with his father and while it was justified, I didn't like the way it made him act in present time. He was not able to let it go and it was affecting every single relationship he had with his family and in a romantic way. I guess that doesn't matter much in the end since it only made Jett's character development more very prominent.
If someone told me to sum this book up in one sentence, I would go for something like this " Jett's journey to overcome his demons and letting go of his past with Tegan's help". That doesn't mean though, that Tegan is hidden from the spotlight. She has an equal amount of times where she shines. Jett and Tegan are one of my favorite couples Melissa Foster has ever written.
I was a little hesitant, given some of my past experience with the series, to read the book and honestly half the time I was expecting for the other shoe to drop. I enjoyed this book very much and I loved how everything went down. The story had some moments where things could have gotten bad with over the top drama or just toxic and I was very glad to see that my fears never became real. Jett might have his issues, but he is a smart man and he handled a certain situation(s) just as he should have. There is no doubt in my mind when I say that I would recommend the book.
On a final note, I would like to add that many (if not all) characters from the previous books appear in this one and it might be a little confusing or overwhelming to new-to-the-series-readers. Also, the author managed to tease us about two of her upcoming books in this story and I am planning on reading both of them because both stories seemed very interesting.

Bayside Fantasies in the sixth book in Melissa Foster's Bayside Summer series. Like all the authors books it can be thoroughly enjoyed as a standalone and if you have read some of the other books you will see more than a few friendly faces.
Bayside Fantasies tells the story of Tegan and Jett. Both are focused on their business' and neither have time for a relationship. However, they can't deny their instant chemistry and decided to give friends with benefits a try. They become good friends and the benefits are fantastic. Tegan can't stop her heart from falling in love and Jett fights it as hard as he can. With business that keeps them apart more than together Tegan expects to end up heartbroken.
"He was filled with a deep desire to take care of her, to bring her pleasure in way that weren't sexual. Because this - holding her, being trusted by her- was everything."
I think this may be my favorite Melissa Foster couple that I have had the pleasure of reading. Tegan is independent, adventurous, comfortable in her sexuality an all around fun person. Jett is the one who has all the baggage to trudge through and figure out in order to see himself as worthy of Tegan. The steam factor in the book is off the Richter scale right from the beginning. Holy Moly the sex is frequent, fantastic, I loved every scene and I may never look at Smore's he same again ! When they weren't getting down and dirty, Tegan and Jett were becoming friends and going on their own adventures that included watching the sunrise and go-kart racing.
"She was blinded by desire, panting and pawing, utterly lost in him. She'd never been kissed so thoroughly, so possessively."
Bayside Fantasies was a great contemporary romance and I'm anxious for the next books in the series. I'm not sure who I am excited for Daphne & Jock or Chloe and Justin❤

Tegan's inherited her uncle's business and has plans to turn it into an amphitheater, paying it forward and keeping his legacy alive. When she meets an obviously uptight, gorgeous Armani clad businessman, she can see there's something more to him than just his fancy suit. Can she open Jett up to love? Help him live a life filled with laughter and love?
I loved this heartwarming and sexy love story. Tegan and Jett are sooo good together. A pair of opposites who see the best in each other, who bring out the best in each other. And surrounded by the small town charm of Bayside, they couldn't have chosen a better place to find love with each other.

It was fun to be back bayside, this time with Tegan and Jett.
It is like catching up with family when I read a Melissa Foster book. I have been reading them for a few years now, and they have become like extended family to me.
However, with all the cross overs with people from different series, I cannot be the only one who needs a chart on the wall to remember who is whom?
Whilst I adore Jett and Tegan, I did feel that, to me, their story dragged. It felt sooo slow to me, and I did find myself skim reading, particularly in the second half. There was a lot of back and forward with trips and things, and their story didn't feel like it was going anywhere for a long time.
But this could just be me.
I haven't read all of the Bayside Summers books, however i did like getting a bit more of the people I have met in previous reads.
I know it sounds like I didn't like this book, but I did. I just wasn't as drawn into it as other books in the series that I have read.
I do look forward to coming back to the Cape again in the future.

This book is soooo good. This love story has melted my heart. It made me think about how important laughter is in our lives and I need to do more. I wish as I grew up that I had Tegan’s way of looking at life and did my own thing like she did. Tegan can’t dance (neither can I) but she doesn’t care and puts her all into it. I know it had to be so hard to live in her beloved uncle Harry’s house and carry on his good deeds in the community. Tegan is great at seeing the good in other people and will admit when she is wrong. Her first impression of Jett was not who she thought he was. I was so happy to see how she opened Jett’s heart to love and laughter. I loved how Jett was doing good things with his money and paying it forward. I love the idea to pay it forward. This book has so many facets to it that made my heart feel good. I love children and the children in this book made me laugh. I can’t encourage you enough yo read this book. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.

Melissa Foster puts larger than life personalities into realistic situations and creates magic every time. Bayside Fantasies dances to the beat of it's own drum. Tegan is a force of nature with a flighty personality and a pureness of heart. Jett is a bad boy haunted by the pain of his past and driven by his hopes for the future. Work is his best friend until a beautiful temptation sets fire to all of his plans and sets about claiming his heart. A storm is brewing and it's sure to leave a mark on your heart.

This is the first book I have read by melissa Foster and I will definitely say it won't be the last. How these characters were able to have their HEA was so inspiring. Jett only cared about making money and showing everyone he made it. Family didn't matter to him. He never made the time for them either. There was a riff between him and his father he had no intention of fixing. Tegan opened his eyes and showed him to stop and smell the roses. Enjoy life, laugh everyday and breathe in the fresh clean air. All the success you acquire means nothing if you're alone and have no one to share it with. Dont hold grudges and make the most of what life has to offer. Forgiveness is key to a happy life life. It's not easy but so worth it.

I devoured this story super fast! I’ve been a fan of Melissa’s work for quite some time and for me, she has never really disappointed, but this story was just a bit above the rest! I just couldn’t wait to get to the next plot point in the story! It was fantastic! So full of passion and emotion and laughter all wrapped up in a huge heart!

Neither has time for a fully committed relationship, so friends with benefits it is. But will that truly be enough?
I really liked this book and I read it slowly to savour the story between Tegan and Jett. This was definitely one of my favourites in the series.

Jett Masters is a single independent hard working business man that nothing can stop. He is a real master in business and in bed and most of all he's untouchable. Tegan Fine is a free spirited positive soul. She loves her friends, her family and most of all she's excited about her new venture taking over her uncle's theater and legacy. When the two collided , both their worlds are shaken and will make them rethink their lives. Tegan brings out the best in Jett and he brings her the confidence she needed. Hot, steamy, funny and oh so sexy ! Melissa really did herself with this beauty and Jett is one of her best hero so far but as usual she'll make me fall for the next one even harder ! Take note; you're in for a ride and will dream about living in that book for sure ! All the deep buried emotions she was able to draw out of Jett is simply amazing !

I don’t like rating books that I DNF, I don’t think that it’s fair because I didn’t read the whole thing. There was nothing wrong with this book itself, I just couldn’t get into it. I felt like there were too many characters to follow, and although this could be read as a standalone, I feel as though I would have benefited from reading the first four books first. I very well may go back to this book at a later time.

With the way the world is going to hell in an hand basket at the moment, Bayside Fantasies was just the perfect book to to make forget about the world for a few hours.
Holy hotness Melissa has done it again! I loved Dean but sorry he has to move over Jett is at the forefront of the Masters family in this book. He is very work orientated and in doing so he has forego a close relationship with his family – the brothers are close, but they don’t spend a whole lot of time together, mainly fleeting moments when Jett is in town.
This time a storm has left him stranded a little longer, and also the affections of Miss Fine has him feeling a little disorientated – he is usually cool calm and collected and there is nothing he can’t handle, but she has certainly proved him wrong.
Tegan Fine is in Bayside following the death of her Uncle who has left his home and children’s amphitheatre to her. Like Jett she is work orientated so the last thing on her mind was falling for someone. When they meet at her friend Harpers bachelorette party the sparks just fly – their chemistry is off the charts, but neither think they have time for a relationship so decide to become Friends With Benefits. We all know that a FWB situation in a Melissa Foster book isn’t going to last long and I loved watching Jett slowly break down his walls and realise that he might in fact be relationship material after all.
This book may be number 6 in the series but as with all Melissa’s books it is easy to read as a stand alone and you will fall in love with the characters so much you will get hooked on wanting to read their stories.

Jett & Tegan are so SEXY! Their connection is evident from the moment they see each other and it stays strong throughout the book.
They see each other a couple of times before they are properly introduced at a club during a bachelorette party. The dancing and flirting in this scene is pure chemistry on the page.
Because of their work schedules, they decide to try out a friends with benefits arrangement when Jett is in town. That quickly falls by the wayside as soon as he thinks Tegan might go on a date with someone else.
This is a low angst book in terms of the relationship. Jett and Tegan are mature characters and treat each other with compassion and respect. Jett is dealing with some family issues that play into his struggles with being a workaholic. Tegan has suffered a loss and is running a new business while building a relationship with Jett. She navigates all of this with such grace and understanding. Their HEA is extremely satisfying and believable.
The girl gang is strong in this book and I really enjoyed seeing some of the characters from other series here. I highly recommend this author if you are looking for books with deep emotion and low angst.

Melissa Foster is known for creating sensuous stories filled with friends, family and humor. In Bayside Fantasies, the characters drew me into the story. As a northeaster heads towards Cape Cod, Tegan Fine and Jett Masters meet. Their opposites attract romance develops as the rain and winds pound the Cape.
Loved that Tegan Fine had a heart of gold. A bit of a free spirit, Tegan moves to Cape Cod to run her late uncle’s outdoor theater. Tegan is familiar with the programs and realizes she needs to step up her organizational skills to develop a marketing strategy, create a website and handle all of the administrative details. I loved that Tegan was determined to succeed even though her organizational skills were a bit unusual-her business plan was written on sticky notes not on a word document or spreadsheet.
Jett Masters is a workaholic. He grew up on the Cape but never has the time to visit his parents or brother for more than a day at a time. A skilled negotiator, his life is talking on his cell phone, working on his next acquisition and making more money than he can spend. I wondered what drove Jett—why was he so business focused? Jett and Tegan meet at a small restaurant and there was a definite connection between feisty Tegan and buttoned up Jett.
The hurricane brings Tegan and Jett together when they meet at a bachelorette party. Loved that Jett was so attracted to Tegan. Loved the scenes when they were dancing…slow, seductive and oh so sexy. Tegan and Jett spend the night together and decide that they want to try a friends with benefits relationship.

There were a few times I thought Tegan was going to get her heart broken but then Jett surprised me. Loved how Tegan and Jett’s relationship developed; they texted and used Facetime to connect when Jett was out of town. Jett supported Tegan’s desire to continue her uncles business while Tegan understood Jett’s need to connect with his family and respected his desire, his need to excel in his work.

Loved that Tegan Fine had a heart of gold. A bit of a free spirit, Tegan moves to Cape Cod to run her late uncle’s outdoor theater. Tegan is familiar with the programs and realizes she needs to step up her organizational skills to develop a marketing strategy, create a website and handle all of the administrative details. I loved that Tegan was determined to succeed even though her organizational skills were a bit unusual-her business plan was written on sticky notes not on a word document or spreadsheet.
Jett Masters is a workaholic. He grew up on the Cape but never has the time to visit his parents or brother for more than a day at a time. A skilled negotiator, his life is talking on his cell phone, working on his next acquisition and making more money than he can spend. I wondered what drove Jett—why was he so business focused? Jett and Tegan meet at a small restaurant and there was a definite connection between feisty Tegan and buttoned up Jett.
The hurricane brings Tegan and Jett together when they meet at a bachelorette party. Loved that Jett was so attracted to Tegan. Loved the scenes when they were dancing…slow, seductive and oh so sexy. Tegan and Jett spend the night together and decide that they want to try a friends with benefits relationship.

Jett and Teagan are blazing hot! I'm surprised that my Kindle didn't overheat while I was reading it! A couple of chance encounters and a single night quickly evolved into Friends With Benefits. FWB was all that they could offer each other, since Teagan was trying to rebuild her life and start a new career, and Jett was a workaholic who never took time for anyone.
They quickly slide into strong friends, with amazing benefits (and HOT, as previously mentioned!), but quickly realize that they miss each other and want to spend time together, which breaks their FWB rules. Can their relationship grow beyond their agreement? Can they make a relationship work when their lives and schedules are so different?
This book can be read as a standalone, but you'll want to go back and read the others to catch up on everyone's lives! I love Melissa Foster's books, and especially this series, but this book has a special place in my heart.

Tegan and Jett both had past demons of a sort. Tegan was the holding on of things including the love and life she shared with he beloved uncle. Jett was the pain and sadness of childhood and that lost connection with this once idle. Tegan was stronger, wiser, and more put together than I was expecting. She had moved her life to a small-town she was not living in full time, until she was. She meets a steaming hot sexy man the first night back in town. She gets hit with the storm of her life when she get there. She get chemistry times ten. Jett insist that he don't have time for a relationship but yet he has more time for Tegan. He turns his phone off. The changes plans for her. He text her. Calls her. He connects with her. She calms him. He complements her. He understands her.
As always, a beautiful story is delivered. There is/was a story of love, family friends, connections, disconnections, life.
Narrators Andi and Aaron give life to the characters and have them come right off the pages and straight into our brians with clarity and definition.
Side note.... I am very excited to get Chloe and Mr. Wicked himself. These two have been dancing around each other or not. I want the full story.

Ahh, Melissa Foster has a new Bayside series book out called Bayside Fantasy. I love this series and have read all of them so far but the best thing is these can be read as stand-alone sass well and you see characters from other series in it as well which I love.
This book follows Jett and Tegan’s story. I absolutely love Tegan’s forwardness and determination. She is feisty and caring. She’s got a heart of gold but is lonely after losing her uncle and being in a new place away from her family. Can she run a new business venture and find true love? Can the business and pleasure mix?
Jett is a strong businessman who struggles to make amends with his past. He pushes so far forward hoping to never be anything like his father but that makes for a lonely grumpy man which is more like his dad than he likes. Can a hot woman he sees at a gas station change him or is this gonna be a one night of fun he will remember forever?
These two make you believe love, at first sight, is real! Sparks fly and just keep getting stronger until a fire is burning that they can’t put out! This story is hot! They are so fun, loving, stubborn but irresistible. I just couldn’t put it down. I was hooked on this book! You have to get it and read it today! You will be happy you did!

5 stars all around. Bayside Fantasies in the sixth book in the Bayside Summer series but can be read as a stand-alone. Strangers-to-lovers trope quickly became a favorite after this read 👀 Teagan moves back to the Cape to continue her late uncle’s legacy as the beneficiary to his estate. She spots mystery man, Jett Masters, at a gas station and can’t seem to get him off her mind. Little does she know, he can’t get her off his mind either. Jett and Teagan were the perfect opposites attract scenario. The tension between the two is undeniable and passionate, and we see them pull the best out of each other throughout the book. I absolutely will be going back and reading more from this series! Thank you author agency for this arc!

Another great read by author Melissa Foster is what Bayside Fantasies is. I have to be upfront. I'm in the middle of a huge life move. I closed on a new house last Friday, so basically 7 days ago. I'm lucky I could find my Chromebook and my Kindle. I've barely had time to finish the book but I am certainly glad I did.
I have to say, while I like to portray myself as organized, I am more of a Tegan type person. I set goals and feel like I'm floundering when I don't have them. Have a plan for the next five years, or even the next year? Not a chance. As see Tegan as the type that would have retirement money but if she had a goal and needed it, she wouldn't hesitate to use it, early withdrawal and all.
Jett is way too intense for me, as I presume he may have been for Tegan had he not been swept out of his mind by her. If the Jett that was on the phone at the gas station in the beginning of the book and the Jett that walked into the cafe where he and Tegan first meet had continued when the guys crashed the bachelorette party, my guess is even Melissa Foster couldn't have gotten them together. Thankfully, Melissa knew this and the story that evolves has so many twists and turns that I don't think I could have ever thought it up myself.

As soon as I read the first bit about Tegan, she became my new girl crush! She is full of life, spontaneous, and not scared of taking life as it comes -- she's my opposite, as well as Jett's! Together, this duo was clearly meant to meet and help bring out the best in one another. Their balance of each other reminds me of my husband and I. This pair is strong and sexy without being "over the top" as they are often written. Foster did a fantastic job bringing their characters to life and making them feel authentic. Their relationship didn't feel forced, nor was it "over the top". It progressed despite all flags pointing toward failure -- and that is what makes it such a good read!
