It all started with the wrong Help Wanted ad. Of course it did.

I'm a professional fluffer. It's NOT what you think. I stage homes for a living. Real estate agents love me, and my work stands on its own merits.

Sigh. Get your mind out of the gutter. Go ahead. Laugh. I'll wait.

See? That's the problem. My career has used the term "fluffer" for decades. I didn't even know there was a more... lascivious definition of the term.

Until it was too late.

The ad for a "professional fluffer" on Craigslist seemed like divine intervention. My last unemployment check was in the bank. I was desperate. Rent was due. The ad said cash paid at the end of the day. The perfect job!

Staging homes means showing your best angle. The same principle applies in making a certain kind of movie.

Turns out a "fluffer" doesn't arrange decorative pillows on a couch. They arrange other soft, round-ish objects.

The job isn't hard. Er, I mean, it is — it's about being hard. Or, well... helping other people to be hard.

Oh, man...

And that's the other problem. A man. No, not one of the stars on the movie set. Will Lotham - my high school crush.

The owner of the house where we're filming. Illegally. In a vacation rental.

By the time the cops show up, what I thought was just a great house staging gig turned into a nightmare involving pictures of me with an undressed star, Will rescuing me from an arrest, and a humiliating lesson in my own naivete.

My job turned out to be so much harder than I expected. But you know what's easier than I ever imagined?

Having all my dreams come true.

Her books have been translated into French and German, with more titles releasing in the future.

From billionaires to BBWs to new adult rock stars, Julia finds a sensual, goofy joy in every contemporary romance she writes. Unlike Shannon from Shopping for a Billionaire, she did not meet her husband after dropping her phone in a men's room toilet (and he isn't a billionaire she met in a romantic comedy).

She lives in New England with her husband and three children where she is the only person in the household with the gene required to change empty toilet paper rolls.

If you want hysterical with a happy ending, this is the book. It's not your typical blah blah blah love story. It is totally relatable, written with a humour that keeps you guessing. Definitely a fun read!

The story was okay although I felt at times like I wanted to actually put it down and not pick it up again. I didn’t really connect with the main characters and there was barely any plot there. Sometimes the characters were “juvenile, they didn’t really seem to be fully developed either. I’m A little bit intrigued about the story of the best friend but probably not enough to buy it when it comes out. It’s an okay book to read if it goes on special but in Australia we pay nearly 5 dollars for it and it’s not worth that

I've read some of Julia Kent's books before but this is the best so far.

I laughed so much I read some of it out loud to my husband because he wanted to know what I was laughing at. It's funny, hot, and I loved it.

I loved the characters and I could understand the thoughts going around Mallory's head - I've had them before too.

To say that I recommend this book is an understatement! Buy it. Laugh, feel frustrated and love it.

This book had me laughing so much!! I loved it!! I loved the storyline the characters, and everything about it!
Mal goes to a Craigslist job posting and finds out it's not a HOME FLUFFER, but a different kind of fluffer LOL!! Little does she know that the house that she's going to belongs to Will. Her old high school crush!
Mal is the good girl from school, and didn't know that Fluffer had another term, and she found out the hard way. I was laughing throughout this entire book.
Will owns his own company and wants Mal to come work for him as their house decorator for his parents house he's trying to sell. They have a bet going too. Who wins? Well, that's for you to find out, by reading this hilarious book!
I loved that Will didn't give up on Mal, and kept pursuing it, but not in a creepy way! I also loved when her friends asked if they were together and Mal said no, but she didn't know Will was close by and he walks up behind and says YES. I LOVED IT!!!!
I did find that the story did kinda drag about halfway through, that's why it's only 4 Stars. But overall this book was so funny! It's a must read!

My fave quotes from the book:
    1. I'm the cream pie specialist. Oh! A cooking show! - Oh Mal LOL!!!
    2. Why I am lying on the floor, my leg cocked like a cricket, arguing with Beastman's right to flog his meat is beyond me. - I died laughing cause I could picture it!

Fluffy was hilarious and Mallory Monahan was such a great character - she’s clueless but seriously endearing. Anyone who has a best friend called Perky certainly has to have a sense of humour. She says to herself: “I know how to handle myself in any given situation”, but it’s abundantly clear she doesn’t. Mistaking a job listed on Craigslist for a “professional fluffer” as being a house stager, she turns up at a porn shoot ready to down to work. Could it get any worse? Yes, it does when Will Lotham (her high school crush) turns up at the shoot to shut it down. He saves her from being arrested and offers her a job which she takes because there’s probably no one else who will hire her after pictures of her almost arrest on the porn set goes viral. This was such a brilliant book which had me laughing from start to finish.

Really is there anything better than getting your hands on a new Julia Kent book??? She is the author who introduced me to romcoms, and admittedly I do compare every other book I happen to read to Julia's.
To me as with every book of Julia's it's her characters that stand out the most to me. Will and Mallory's relationship is a slow burn. When they meet up again ten years after high school ends, I really did laugh myself silly. But it was the way their lives kept intersecting and how they danced around each other that really had me hooked.
Fluffy simply put is hilarious. Add in Mallory's friends, who I think end up with their own books, and yes it's cliche to say it, but this is definitely one of her best books yet.

I was looking for a funny, light hearted, romantic read. Some might say I found it, but it struck me as more of an unrealistic glimpse into a woman's neurotic internal meanderings. Oh, I read it to the end, wondering if the neuroses would calm down.... They did, somewhat, but the romance part was hard to believe, and the sex scenes were cringe worthy and distinctly un-sexy. Unlikely that I'll buy any of the follow-up stories given the jarring experience had reading this one.
What fool doesn't Google fluffer before accepting the role? That whole unbelievable scenario set the tone/pace for the whole thing.

An absolutely hilarious story from Julia Kent, I cannot recommend this book highly enough. If you're looking for a entertaining rom-com then this book will be a perfect choice in my opinion.

Mallory crosses paths with her high-school crush Will, in a rather disastrous-yet hysterical way, that had me similtaniously rolling around with laughter as well as cringing for poor Mallory. From here their relationship progresses in a very enjoyable and engaging way.

The characters in this novel are charming, funny, and witty and there's plenty of misunderstandings to keep the story moving forward at a jaunty and absorbing pace.

I found this story about Mallory Monahan a home set stager who is broke and answered an ad to be a fluffer as an enjoyable, hooting with laughter, and romantic story with engaging characters. At her arriving at her job's designation, Mallory sees three guys smoking outside who tease her as she enters the house. Fixing the Feng shui, Mallory redesigns the living room furniture and meets the guys until they strip, and she realizes she was hired for something else. When the owner Will Lotham, an old high school crush arrives after being tipped off by a neighbor and then the police, what will happen to Mallory? Will Will try to help Mallory? I volunteer to read and review this book.

I had so much fun reading Fluffy! Of course there are a lot of stereotypes from high school perpetuated but it's one of those things that are a sure go-to whenever you need to cheer up or to be cuddled!

Some parts of this were annoying to read. Her thinking was very random and awkward and I kinda just zoomed past chunks of it to get to the "good stuff". Long story short; lots of unnecessary pages of reading taht don't contribute to the overall story. But the rest of the book was awesome. I don't believe we got to see much of how Will thinks (POV) but Mallory was super funny, feisty and awesome. The ending was the perfect way to get you excited for the next story.
