Dani had her entire life planned out by the time she was thirteen. She was going to marry the boy who stole her heart – her brother’s best friend – have a great life, and live happily ever after. Then tragedy struck and Dani had to bury those childhood dreams in a pine box along with the love of her young life.

The memory of what she lost haunted her until she disappeared into the night, leaving behind everyone, and everything she’d ever known.

Years later, she returns home to find everything has changed. When she meets Kyler, there is something about him that gets past the walls around her heart. Will she let fear control her, or will she let go of the past and learn to love again?

😓Wtf did I just experience, Wrecked Emotionally
I cried , I cried some more and then when I thought there was nothing left I curled up in the foetal position and cried some more. The hurt that Danielle felt when she lost “ Emmett” the boy she had loved since she was 13 years old, they had plans and dreams and were going to live and grow old together. Life was as it was meant to be, until tragedy strikes and Emmett is taken from this world and allDanielles Dreams are gone.
The pain that Danielle experiences jumps out of the pages into you and you feel and experience her pain as if it has happened to you
The hurt is real and raw , very rarely has a book made me feel this way and I was a bloody mess. I started to relive my own pain of losing a loved one , not a partner like our leading lady but a loved one where the hurt was intense.
The journey we are taken on with Danielle and how she is thrown into a world without Emmett,
Years pass and so much happens ( you need to read as I’m nit going to spoil it for you) and without realising it Live knocks on Danielle’s door again ( sort of 🤣) in the form of her brothers best friend. Can she do this again after losing Emmett also her brothers best friend.
We are taken in the moving forward with her , the guilt felt by doing so the strange feelings that she begins to feel and likes.
Then realising that by not allowing herself this chance of living again and being loved that she is disrespecting the memory of Emmett, he had his chance of a forever and always taken from him for them and she was wasting the chance she was given even though it was not with Emmett
I learnt and realised so much being able to experience and learn and grow with Danielle in her stages of recovering from grief and allowing herself to be able to experience falling in love and being loved again when she meets Kyler.
Kyler a truely remarkable young man who sees and wants to help heal the young woman he meets and falls in love with.
The permission scene “ spoiler alert” between Kyler and Emmett had me reaching for the tissues again
Copious amounts of coffee was drunk by myself to get through this book
Thank you Stefanie you broke my heart but you
also taught me that moving on is a normal part of life but it is also a journey that for each individual may be a different passage of time. Grief and loss is not a path we want to take but it is inevitable unfortunately.
I now know I can take the chance and like Danielle survive so I can go on and read similar stories where I will cry bucket loads of tears go through copious amounts of tissues and have my kids ask me “ what the hell is wring mum” 🤣😂
A good bloody book was my reply.
That it was. Thank you Stefanie.
Apologies for punctuation mistakes it’s 4am in the morning and I woke up realising I hadn’t finished this review.

Heartache, a million times over. I cried through half of this book it totally wreaked me. It was a sad, beautiful love story about loss, forgiveness and second chances. I thought I would never forgive the authot for the tears she made me cry but boy did she get back in my good graces with Kyler. He was just amazing. He was charming, sweet, goofy and just plan adorable.
Dani broke my heart so many times I truly felt for her I just wanted to hug her for all eternity.
This story brought all the feels and more it was a magical, sweet story that had you ball your eyes out but than smile at the sweetness and charms that was Kyler.
This story will stick with me for a long time because it did everything a love story should do and the author and her words are just magical.

I Plan On Forever popped into my Amazon Australia feed as a new author suggestion. Gotta love kindle unlimited as it’s got me reading so many new authors I’ve never heard of. Anywoo I checked reviews and found it was book 3 in a series so I started reading book 1, I Never Planned On You and I fell in love with Emmett and Danielle’s love story but keep the tissues handy 😢
Not having read a Stefanie Jenkins before I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised as this isn’t your predictable romance. The main and secondary characters are strong and likeable and the story flows at a good pace.

Danielle finds the love of her life at 13 in her brother’s best friend Emmett. They plan forever, college, marriage and a life together but life doesn’t always run to plan. I don’t want to spoil what’s in this story but I will say I Never Planned On You is worth the read and yes there is a happily ever after.

Wow this book had me full of emotions.
Dani and Emmett were lovers from the age of 13 and when Emmett was just 18 a tragic accident happened that leaded to his passing and that day Dani lost her self and grief took over. Her best friend Hayley lost her brother and best friend that day as did zack.

Dani took off for 4 years then finally came back and found her self falling for her brothers house mate/ best friend Kyler.

Took Kyler a little bit to get Dani to be with him but when she finally let go and fell inlove with him he was a happy man.

Stefanie is an amazing author cant wait to read more from her

To state that I cried pretty much most of the book is an understatement. This book had me so invested in it I didn’t want to put it down and I never did. You feel everything that Dani feels the journey she goes through to fight to live again. By the end of it I had tears of happiness. The writing was absolutely beautiful and I’m so glad I discovered this book. This is the first book of Stefanie Jenkins I have read and it will not be the last.

Dani and Emmett, Dani's brothers best friend fall in love at 13, and the world only exists for the two of them. After a heartbreaking devastation that shatters their world, Dani leaves without a backward glance. She returns years later, back to her brothers arms... and finds herself faced with her brothers best friend all over again.

This is a heart wrenching story that made me ugly cry on many occasions throughout. The utter devastation written on the pages just shattered me and I had so many feels. I absolutely loved the song references, most of them I knew and sang along to, and the poems I also had heard before and I reccomend reading them for a real feel of the situation. It was beautiful. And emotional.

It has been a while since I ugly cried so hard and full on sobbed that I had to stop crying before I could keep reading just to start all over again.

This book started off strong and had me falling in love with the characters. I loved this family and the friendships. The love they have for each other was so sweet.

I was heartbroken right along with them. The emotions were so real and devastating.

Danielle had every ounce of my heart. I loved her so much and her character growth. I can’t imagine what she went through.

Kyler was the perfect man, he was patient, kind and so understanding. He truly cared for her and everyone else, I love how he went about supporting them.

I loved the chemistry between them and their friendship.

What do you do when you lose the love of your life at the age of eighteen? How do you go on?
Danielle and Emmet had their whole life ahead of them . They were young, madly in love and had their happily ever after planned out.
Sadly life had other plans. When Emmet is suddenly taken away from her Dani has to learn to live without her other half and find the strength to do so.
This is a story about tragic loss, learning to live with a new normal and finding yourself along the way. She needs to deal with the survivors guilt she feels and realize that she does deserve love and her own happily ever after.
Get the with a nd tissues ready. The author rips your heart apart but puts it back together.

Overall it’s a good story but the main character Dani is quite selfish in her grief. Without spoiling anything I lost all sympathy for her when she selfishly got angry witnessing others falling in love and doing well post grief. Haylee her best friend is actually quite redeeming and very funny in certain spots. I’d still recommend this book because some might actually empathize with Dani’s emotions.
