KL Savage has delivered what just might be my favourite book by them! This book is about 100 pages longer than the last few by this author have been, and the book really benefited from the extra pages. The last few stories have felt a little skeletal, and this one has a bit more meat to the bones. I LOVED getting all the backstory for Nora, meeting her friends, and really getting to know her as a person, not just as a love interest. Nora is an adorable nerd, one who reads textbooks for fun and randomly defines words when she’s nervous. Mateo was well-fleshed out, too, and I loved the spattering of Italian words and phrases in his chapters. Of course, I was also thrilled that Reaper and Tool were in this book. Also, is Slingshot’s match Natalia? Only time will tell!
This book delivered on all fronts, and it was a true 5 star read for me!

I have been waiting for Moretti's book ever since we were first introduced to him in Reaper (you don't have to read the Ruthless kings series before you read this, but I hiiiiiighly recommend that you do) and I love him more than I thought was possible after reading his story!! There is just something about gruff, strong yet kinda scary men who go weak for their women that makes my heart a flutter, and that's Moretti to a T! Also the age gap is magnificent!! Need I say more?
Moretti is physically healed after all these months after the explosion that almost killed him at his hotel, but even though he looks like the strong (And scary) man he's always been, he's missing a crucial part of himself: his memories. He has no idea who would do such a cruel thing to him, but after he spends more time with his daughter, the memories start to come back to him, and it's not long before he will have is long waited revenge. Along the way, he meets one of his daughters friends, the beautiful and young Nora, and with one look, he's instantly hooked.
Nora has definitely not had an easy life, and everything she does has is because of her own doing. She's a freaking genius, but is a bit closed off to the actual world. When she runs into a girl on campus who invites her to her dad's hotel for Noras birthday party, Nora gets way more than she bargained for -- and the best thrill of her life.
I loved the connection and intimacy Moretti & Nora shared right away. Though he is old enough to be her father, their age difference was never an issue. They had their truly hilarious moments underneath all the darkness surrounding Moretti's life, and even though they shouldn't, they just *fit.* I just loved these two so much!!
We also get to see glimpses of Moretti's mafia men, and I can't wait for more of them! As per usual with these authors, I'm obsessed with everything they write! I can't wait for more in this already fabulous series!

I really liked it, loved it for the most part.
I didn't give more votes only because first of all there was a lot of wrong italian in it, also Mateo name should've be MATTEO and it bothered me. Anyway other than that i hated how this ended, the idea she had, i mean ok being curious about him with other guys but i really don't want to see a 3some , when he literally was happy being with her, being possessive and all of that, it bothered me that she was curious about being with another man too. NOW we dont know if this will happen or not. This book ends kind of incomplete, we don't know if there will be another book about them or not, there is not an epilogue and also it's a open ending...you can't add all that thought about the relationship and then end it like that, the problem is that i really think this is the end lol and i'm pretty sure next book is about his brother. Which su*ks because i loved how delicious possessive and OTT Matteo is with her, i hate that the author ruined it for me with the h stupid thoughts , she did this in Trasher book too; BUT i hope that Matteo will put a foot down if this will be the case.

I’ll make this easy for everyone—I LOVE THIS BOOK! KL Savage has quickly become an instant one-click author for me and Mateo only further solidifies my reasons why. The writing is engaging and dynamic with scenes so electric you feel like an actual witness to the wonder within. Age gaps are delish and this one is an ultimate treat. Mateo and Nora set off fireworks across the pages.

Fast forward after the events that took place within Reaper and Knives and you get the first book of the Moretti series. What an amazing story it was!
Knives left off with so many questions regarding what was going on with Mateo. Those questions were answered and then some. I was so pleased with the story of Mateo gaining back what he lost and finding everything he thought he wouldn't have again. Nora is absolutely perfect for Mateo. It is an age-gap romance that works out so well. Nora is exactly what Mateo needed to move forward with his life. This was an amazing way to start this series!
**Mateo is a standalone novel however, I recommend reading The Ruthless Kings series first as you meet him in Reaper and there are parts throughout the series dealing with his character and what he has gone through.

Holy wow! This book was incredible! I didn’t realize how much I would love Moretti’s book until I read it! This new beginning to the Moretti family and getting to be inside Mateo’s mind have left me amazed. I love seeing how much of a boss (and alpha) he really is!
Mateo is methodical, smart, ruthless but when he cares about you and considers you family, he’ll do anything for you.
Nora is smart, keeps her head in her textbooks, has a little tic she blurts out when she’s nervous (which I love and makes her unique), shy but she really blossoms as her relationship with Mateo grows.
Mateo and Nora are complete opposites but yet are similar in many ways. I’m speechless in all the best ways! K.L. has done it again and I’m all in for this new Mafia series! Waiting impatiently for the next one!

This is the first in a spin off from the authors Ruthless Kings series. We have seen Mateo as he was healing at the clubhouse. This starts his story and the road back to Mafia King.
Mateo's injuries have healed, but he doesn't have his memory back yet. He kidnaps his brother from the Kings and sets out to build his Las Vegas empire back. He gets some help from his uncle and others in the mafia world from Italy. What he totally does not expect is to ever fall in love again.
This is an age gap romance and I don't know that I am totally a fan. This is a 20 year gap. But, having said that, Nora is not a typical 21 year old either. She is very bookish, a bit quirky and an introvert most of the time. She also is not looking for any time of relationship. But when Mateo and Nora meet, the sparks are off the charts!
I was happy to see Mateo come back into his own. He is not a man to be messed with. I also like the care he took with Nora so as not to spook her too much with his insta love. Mateo's daughter is an outlier for me and then there are his brothers. It will be interesting to see whose story we get to see. Happy that Mateo was able to put to rights all that his brother lost for him while Mateo recovered. We also see a bit of the MC and I suspect we will continue to see them.
Great start to the Mafia spin off. Can't wait to read more!

On the night of Nora’s birthday celebration she goes to Mateos club. He sees her and it’s kind of instalove. There’s a lot of details about the kings Motor cycle club— which I know nothing about. This is my first book by the author…. Mateo sets out to have Nora forever. He’s Bi— that’s brought up several times. However now he only has eyes for one person and that’s Nora. He takes her V card consensually. A bit of smutty times but not too much. More MCC drama. I would have liked more relationship building between Nora and Mateo although their characters were well developed as individuals. Low angst and a hea.

I really wish I had known to check out this authors page and find the correct reading order before I read a whole series. Oh live and learn.

While I mostly enjoyed this book I was disappointed that after Nora met Mateo nothing was said about his daughter. I'm sure she had an opinion on her father going after a a friend of hers and the fact that Nora is even younger than his daughter. Only Nora's best friend was mentioned in passing two or three times.

We all met Mateo Moretti in the Ruthless Kings series . He is head of the Mafia in Las Vegas . He stayed with the bikers at their compound since his hotel was blown up and he lost his memory . It was about a year later . The story starts from there .
We finally see on his own away from the Kings in this book. When he meets his daughter’s friend Nora he knows he will do anything to have her . He is 43 and she is 22 so there is quite an age gap.
I loved Nora . She was quirky and sweet . She was such a homebody and had a tragic past . I loved seeing Mateo bring her out of her shell.
Mateo was crazy possessive over this girl and if you know me you know that is my jam. He was obsessed with her and he was also the hottest guy ever . The sex in this book was on fire hot !

I think I may be in love with Mateo! This man is freakin everything! His time at the Reapers compound has come to an end and although he's thankful he's ready to handle family business.
Nora is a senior at University of Las Vegas. She's also befriended Natalia, Mateo's daughter. Things get real interesting when Natalia takes her friends to her father's casino for Nora's birthday and Mateo sets his sights on Nora. K.L. Savage has written a brilliant age gap story.

*Audiobook review*
This book was super sexy 🔥🔥🔥 As the first in a spin off of the Ruthless Kings series I knew this wouldn't have a lot of action, but instead lay the groundwork for the upcoming books. There may not have been a lot of violence but there was certainly a lot of action going on in the hotel room, the bathroom, the dorm room...I think you get the picture 😉
Mateo has spent many months locked away in his own mind. After suffering life threatening injuries in a hotel bombing he has been in recovery with the Ruthless Kings Vegas chapter, unable to recall anything from his past life. When terrible events cause a rift in his family Mateo decides It's time to take matters into his own hands. As he tries to rebuild his life, distraction comes in the form of a naive young woman, Nora, who happens to be his daughter's new friend. Mateo is entranced by the sweet and innocent Nora and will stop at nothing to show his Stellina that they are meant to be together.
This was a surprisingly low angst story with lots of steam and sex. Nora may start out innocent but it's amazing how she opens up after a few intense encounters with Mateo.
The male narrator was new to me and initially felt a little old for the character, but he handled the content well and does a great job with the Italian language and accent (fair warning I am not fluent in Italian so this is just IMO from third party experience). There did seem to be a disconnect with the narration when Mateo wasn't actually talking (it seemed to be almost third person omniscient even though it was first person) because the accent was only present when Mateo spoke. This is a style I wasn't used to so it took a bit to get into it, but once I did it was fine. I have only heard the female narrator a few times so I knew she would do well with Nora. The writing and the performances worked well together and created a great framework for the new series. 4/5 story, 3/5 narration.

Mateo is book one in the Moretti Mafia series spin off from the Ruthless Kings.
After losing his memory in the Casino blast, Mateo had been looked after at the Ruthless Kings clubhouse where he learnt blood isn't the only family, whilst not remembering much of his past life he knows he has a daughter, Natalia, that was in danger no thanks to his brother Maximo. Taking matters into his own hands Mateo sneaks out of the clubhouse with his brother in tow set on getting his revenge the family way. Nora dedicated her life to studying, she doesnt party or date as she doesnt need anyone else to trust in. Fate is on hand when Noras best friend persuades her to go out for her 21st at the casino just as they meet Natalia on campus, who gets them best access, now that her father has regained his memories and control of his criminal empire. When Mateo and Nora meet sparks fly instantly, but can Mateo and Nora a woman nearly half his age and his daughters friend really have a future. When all Nora had wanted before was to be independent, for her, not having anyone to love meant there would be no more blood shed, Mateo doesn't give up easily when he wants something he does his all to get it.
This is another great read from KL Savage! A great addition to the Ruthless world and what a steamy hot bang to start it off with! An age gap, mafia romance filled with action, violence, twists, humour, desires, hot scenes and more!

His brother is the one who cause his memory loss and created all type of problems for H. Also, tried to sell his niece (H's daughter)
Then after some months, H has gained his memory and running his empire again.
H's daughter goes to college and bump into h and she invites the daughter to her birthday to be more social.

If you’ve kept up with the Ruthless Kings MC by KL, you know of Mateo. He’s the mafia boss who was in a coma for months and lost his memory when his brother blew up his hotel. The same brother that also kidnapped Mateo’s daughter and was going to sell her. Luckily the kings were there to step in. Now Mateo is out of his coma, and wants revenge against his brother. Memory or not, his brother still put his daughter at risk.
I knew from the very start that Mateo’s book was going to be a dandy. I was excited to see what the author had in store for his revenge. What I wasn’t expecting was to also get to know this sexy man who rules his world with an iron fist. But a man who can be gentle as a lamb to the right person/people in his life. The book is suspenseful, thrilling, sexy and romantic all rolled up into one. The author exceeded my expectations with Mateo and I can’t wait to see what happens next in the Moretti, Mafia Series.

The book is suspenseful, thrilling, sexy and romantic all rolled up into one. The author exceeded my expectations with Mateo and I can’t wait to see what happens next in the Moretti, Mafia Series.

Mateo by K.L. Savage picks up right where Knives leaves off; Mateo taking his brother and fleeing from the Ruthless Kings compound. This is book one a new series of the Moretti Mafia. I wasn't sure if this branch off of the Ruthless Kings universe would be that interesting but the authors proved they are masters at crafting a story of romance, sexiness and power.
Mateo has been a minor character in the Ruthless Kings series. While I guess it isn't required to read this series prior to this book, it would definitely help. Mateo, mafia boss and casino owner, was an ally of the Kings. His casino was blown up severely injuring him and giving him amnesia. He has been healing in the King's clubhouse.
Physically strong he leaves the clubhouse to start to rebuild his fortune and power taking charge back of the family. After spending time with Natalia, his daughter, his memory comes back. Now he has everything or so he thinks. Mateo has had two wives. The first was Natalia's mother who died much too young and the second, a mistake. One look at Natalia's friend Nora and he feels his heart beating again. She's his missing piece.
Nora is a college student whose whole world is textbooks. They can't hurt her. Nora's mother is in prison; she brutally took the life of Nora's father and then came after her. Nora does not believe in love. Love equals pain. Then she hears Mateo's deep voice and everything Nora feels starts to change.
This age gap romance is charged with heat. It is one that feels like age is just a number. Nora is an old soul and around her Mateo will do anything for her. He never wants her to have any more pain. Mateo was a read that kept me spellbound. I love this couple; they fit and are perfect for each other. They are exactly what the other needs.

Mateo was nothing like I was expecting. I was super excited when Mateo got all his memories back and it was crazy all that happened after. Mateo meeting Nora through his daughter was everything. She really tames him and pulls on his softer side. But at same time he isn't taking no crap from anyone.

This is it! The book we have been longing for! We finally get to truly know who and what makes Moretti the way he is. You will love him!
Mateo has been staying with the Ruthless King’s for quite a while during his recovery. His memory still isn’t back at the beginning of the book but he has the gut instincts still from his previous life. He knows how to make his brother pay for his sins against him and makes it painful.
He knew that Mateo took his brother already before this book but to see why and that he wasn’t betraying the Kings is a relief. Who knew all it would take was a moment with his daughter to bring back all his memories?
I love that when Moretti gets his memories back he doesn’t go back to the cold man that he was. That he integrates the man he has been for the past year in with the man he used to be. Plus we finally learn what all that flirting with Tool was about. Lol!

I love spin-off series and this is a good one!! We see Mateo Moretti sprinkled throughout the Ruthless Kings series but now we get a whole book devoted to him. The glimpses of him we get in the Ruthless Kings books that don’t do him justice and I was not expecting his book to be like this- it exceeded my expectations!! After gaining back what he lost he is essentially a changed man and doesn’t want to live in the past. So when he sees Nora for the first time he knows he has to protect her and make her his. Nora is a sweet and innocent young woman a bit naïve. She harbors a dark past but she has overcome that. Even with their age difference they are perfect for each other. They just balance each other out anyway that makes them a gold standard for relationship goals. Will it all come crumbling down when Nora finds out the secret Mateo has been withholding from her? I’m looking forward to the next installment of this gripping and wonderful series!!

It’s funny what the mind forgets, but the heart doesn’t. Mateo knows some things, but he’s not sure how when he can’t remember most things in his past. He has a bond with the Ruthless Kings MC. They are now like family to him since they took him and nursed him back to life after the explosion that caused his amnesia.
Nora Thompson has not had an easy life. What she has and where she has is, that’s all her. She hasn’t had any help. She’s a double major and a double minor in college, smart beyond measure, and works very hard to stay under the radar. On her twenty-first birthday, her best friend and roommate convinces her to go out on the town to celebrate, something that Nora really doesn’t want to do. When she’s all dolled up and catches the eye of none other than Mateo Moretti, her whole life will change.
I loved this story Mateo and Nora. It’s dark, sexy and unexpected. Mateo is old enough to be Nora’s father, yet they work very well together. Mateo is such a great character and I loved reading his story. He’s dominant, powerful, sexy and very dangerous. His life hasn’t been easy, but hopefully his life will be back on track and he can take back what he lost after he was targeted by his stepson. I loved the scene of him escaping the compound with Maximo. It was a great scene, in the prologue. Mateo is another great book written by K. L. Savage. Their characters and stories are always a favorite to read for me. I give this story a 5-star review and I am so looking forward to more of the Moretti Syndicate in the future as well as any other books by K. L. Savage. Always a one-click favorite author of mine.

Fantastic start to this Ruthless Kings spinoff series. Mateo almost died in an explosion but the RKMC has been keeping him safe, the problem is he doesn’t remember anything from his past. The story revolves around Mateo reclaiming his power and also finding a woman who catches his eye, even if she’s his daughters friend. This age gap romance was well written and fast paced.

This is quite a dark book since Mateo is sooo intense and even extreme when he's dealing with people who have harmed someone close to him. The things he did for revenge to these people..oh my 🙈
These assholes deserved to be punished and Mateo, by being so harsh to them, proved why he is an alpha boss.
So..Mateo has a daughter, Natalia. She studies at a university and one night she's having fun at her father's casino with her girlfriends, because one of them has her birthday. Now...guess who feels an intense attraction to our hot birthday girl the moment he lays his eyes on her 😈
This attraction becomes intense lust throughout the night and our man can't keep himself away from Nora. Even when he knows he's more than 20 years her senior 😏😈..
Nora on the other hand is an inexperienced 21 year old who has these intense feelings for the first time and doesn't know what to do with them. She likes Mateo but his bossy attitude makes her angry. Especially when he insists to keep her "locked" to his room for her own safety 😈.

Mateo Moretti has been trying to heal over the last year from the explosion that was meant to kill him. While he owes the Ruthless Kings everything for saving his life, he know that he needs to move on in order to heal further. When he is able to finally get his memory back, he realizes that he needs to merge the cold, heartless Moretti with this new version of himself to continue on. What he is missing, though, is the connection that will bring the past, present, and future. And that connection is the last thing he was expecting.
Nora Thompson just wants to be left alone to reach her goals and leave her past behind her. So, when her best friend and college roommate declares that they are going out for Nora’s 21st birthday, she is hesitant. But that night will change her life more than she could ever know.
Oh goodness has K.L. Savage done it again. They have added to their Ruthless Kings by giving Mateo his own story, and boy, was it a good one! I am seriously addicted to Mateo and propensity to speak Italian when dealing with strong emotions. I am not sure how they are able to continuously develop this complex world and give us such amazing anti-heroes.
Tongue is now in competition with Mateo in who is my favorite of K.L. Savage’s characters!

* * I HAD BEEN GIVEN AN ADVANCED READERS COPY IN EXCHANGE FOR MY HONEST REVIEW * *
I was not 100% sure what we were going to get with Mateo, just for the sheer fact that we only got to know the real him for such a short time. While it was funny, and I love when Tool is made to feel uncomfortable, but the Mateo we knew for most of the series was not the same man.
He has been a background player for a while in the series and it is nice to get to see him more in a staring role. He never seemed to be a character that liked to play second fiddle to any man. He is strong willed and a master and what he is trying to do. But his personal life has been hard and lacking for such a long time. Seeing how he is outside the clubhouse was interesting and I loved seeing hom command his fleet of men and picking up the pieces that was left from what his brother did.
Nora is the sweet innocent girl who habors her own darkness, and the way Mateo brings it out of her, and shows her who she is and who she truly can become in life and in the bedroom. There is so much that Nora needs to overcome but with the love and support of her friends she comes out of her shell and with that bring the eye of Mateo.
This branch of the Ruthless Family will be one I a, excited to watch branch out more and more. There is even more to come.
I highly recommend this whole series and its counterparts!
