My father was most certainly NOT an innocent man. As the leader of the Gypsy Brothers MC, he was guilty of many things. But he died for a crime that he didn’t commit, framed by an enemy within who then stole his club and everything he had ever worked to protect.

Including my innocence.

When Dornan Ross framed my father, he set into motion a series of events that could never be undone. My father was murdered by Dornan Ross and his sons when I was fifteen years old.

Before my father died, Dornan Ross and his seven sons stole my innocence, branded my skin and in doing so, ensured that their lives would be prematurely cut short. That they would suffer.

I’ve just turned twenty-one, and I’m out for blood. I'm out for revenge.

But I didn't expect to fall for Jase, the youngest brother in the club.

I didn't expect that he would turn my world upside down, yank my heart out of my chest and ride away into the sunset with it.

Now, I'm faced with an impossible choice - Jase, or avenging my fathers death?

★★★★ ½! Seven Sons, part 1 of 7. A tale of revenge, sex, drugs, greed & a long-lost love!

“I used to wish every day and every night to forget about my fathers murderer and what he did to us. Not anymore. Now I want to remember every tiny detail so that I can exact my revenge.”

Books in the Gypsy Brothers Series should be read in order:
Part 1: Seven Sons
Part 2: Six Brothers
Part 3: Five Miles
Part 4: Four Score
Part 5: Three Years
Part 6: Two Roads
Part 7: One Love

Seven Sons (part 1) is Juliette Portland, Julz aka Sammi’s story. The time has come for her to seek her revenge against the man and his sons who, six years prior, brutally raped and beat her within inches of her life. More on why and how to unfold with story.

With a new identity; face and body Julz aka Sammi (Samantha Peyton) is returning to Venice Beach, California to the LA headquarters of the Gypsy Brother’s Motorcycle Club.

The story goes on to follow as Julz sets her plan in motion, but not without glitches. For one her high school sweetheart, first love and 7th in line to the chapter of the club, Jason Ross…

“This is my one shot to get onside with Dornan and bring this motherfucking family to its shattered kneecaps.”

Eight words to describe Juliette Portland, Julz aka Sammi (Samantha Peyton): Determined, broken, reflective, observant, manipulative, focused, calculated and obsessive.

 photo gb1 H BS by sb_zpsizy9ofvc.gif

Only glimpses of Jason Ross in this installment, hence the no sex rating (Plenty of sex with other people). Eight words to describe Jason: Private, lonely, quite, lost, focused, loyal, analytical and nurturing.

Seven Sons is a dark tale of revenge, greed, murder, drugs, crime, consensual and non-consensual sex, broken promises and broken spirits. It ends in a cliffy but no worries, just skip to part 2, Six Brothers for the continuation of their story.

Spellbinding story-telling! Dark, mysterious and addictive plot! A promising hero in the sidelines!

“My name is Juliette,” I whisper, “and you just got fucked…”

4 Dark and Twisted Stars

What was born as fear and grief has long since blossomed into hatred and rage.

Damn. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around how I felt about this book. A dark and gritty debut novel, this was a quick although satisfying tease into what is planned to be a total of 7 books to be released Jan-July.

It's difficult to review a book like this, as it is only the first book, and 100 pages long. But I can tell you this, I'm complete sucked it. Although I tend to run screaming from serials, this one gripped me enough that I will be sitting in anticipation of each book being released. Was it perfect? Well, no. There were things that left me with questions, some things I wished were made clearer. But I have a feeling Lili will be growing into her own as an author through this series, and all these questions just might get answered.

6 Years ago, Juliette suffered a brutality no 15 year old should have to live through. Raped, beaten within an inch of her life and left for dead, she barely survives. In the blink of an eye, she loses everything that has ever mattered; her innocence and her father who was not only brutally murdered but framed for a crime he did not commit.

Now 6 years later there is only one thing that drive Juliette; revenge. She will not rest until the man responsible for all her pain, along with his sons, pays for all his sins. So she concocts a plan to make them all pay. There was just one thing she did not expect, her feelings for the youngest son, Jace, to come crashing back.

If you're expecting a romance, that's not quite what you'll get here...yet. There is an undercurrent of something between Jace and Juliette, but it is merely hinted at in this book. I can't wait to get more of these two together. I can only cross all my fingers in hopes of Lili giving them a HEA.

As for the other characters...fuck. Dornan Ross is one sick fuck. I did have a hard time understanding how easily some of the things that happened between him and Juliette happened.

There were a few other things that I felt were a bit off...but again, this might be something that gets explained in future books, so I will not concentrate on those.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can't wait for more. This was one dark, twisted, and fucked up ride. But then again, that's how I like them. I'm a huge fan of dark and gritty, and this one is panning out to be a doozy.

If you're worried about a cliffy, it's not so bad. It was more of a chapter ending and 'to be continued' than a crazy cliffhanger, which makes it tolerable to wait for the next installment.

I knew going into this book that it would be dark and I knew all the books are shorter. Like 100 or so pages. To be honest this book was exactly what I thought it would be. A nice short dirty dark read with some kickass revenge. I can't wait to see Julz/Sam make those bastards pay. I hope her mom is included in that list of bastards getting their comeuppances. I enjoyed this read a lot. I also liked Jase and I hope he gets in on the revenge that is being served up

3.5-4 stars. Quite an enjoyable read, but with some plot inconsistencies that cannot be overlooked.

description

I’m not a fan of serials but this one caught my attention from the very start and kept it all the way to the end. Warning you now, though, this one does end on a cliffhanger and the follow up, Six Brothers, will be released in February 2014.

So what’s this about?

Juliette, now going by the name ‘Sammi,’ is out for blood. She seeks vengeance and retribution from the sickeningly evil Dornan Ross and his seven sons after they framed her father and brutally stole her virginity.

Six years have passed.

description

...and it’s time to put her action in plan.

description

...but she didn’t expect to fall for Jase, the youngest son. Can she trust him?

description

My quick two cents:

Gripping. Harsh. Unapologetic. Fast-paced. Somewhat dark, but 100% twisted! I thoroughly enjoyed it! The only thing I didn’t like was how quickly Dornan fell for Juliette. It closely bordered on insta-love/lust/obsession. But hey, that’s the beauty of serials. Everything’s quick. Can’t wait to see what Juliette’s plans are in the next installment!

"Who are you?" he splutters, holding his chest.

"My name is Juliette," I whisper, "and you just got fucked."

Remember when your mom used to say, "if all your friends jumped off a bridge, would you do it too?" Well, I think the definitive answer for me is yes. Yes, I absolutely would . . .

Dallas Commercial Photography

Alright, so it's not the actual bridge, but I'm scared of heights so cut me some slack.

WARNING: SPOILERY-ISH

I picked this up due to Casey reading the entire series recently. Since the first one was free, I figured what the hell, clicked the button, and intended to not really read it any time soon. But then Mother Nature tried to murder me, and I discovered that I could get drunk FOR CHARITY . . .

Dallas Commercial Photography

and I figured maybe the alcohol would flush all of the pollen out of my system since nothing else was working. I also figured it would be a good time to read something like Seven Sons . . .

Dallas Commercial Photography

I don't know if "revenge" stories are suddenly the rage or what, but this is the third one I've read recently and I really kinda like 'em. Don't worry, I already warned my husband not to scorn me. Seven Sons began with the typical set-up - the MC (Juliette) had her ..... uhhhhh "innocence" stolen when she was 15. In Juliette's case it was by six of Dornan Ross' seven sons and then he murdered her father as the icing on the cake. Why? To become the leader of the . . .

Dallas Commercial Photography

Okay, it's actually called the Gypsy Brothers, but that's close enough. Six years have gone by, Juliette has made herself unrecognizable to her enemies, and now goes by the name of Sammi. It's her plan to infiltrate the club and seek revenge on all who did her wrong.

In case you haven't already figured it out. This is a dark story. If things like rape or drug use or violence bother you, it's totally cool to add this to a never want type of list. I've said before, I have zero triggers and I kind of enjoy these stories where the girl gets to go all stabby stabby on her perpetrators.

Dallas Commercial Photography

Now to explain the low rating. Here's the deal. If I know a story is going to be dark and twisted and whathaveyou, I want it to be really dark and twisted and whathaveyou. I wanted Juliette/Sammi to find her way into the motorcycle club and then . . . .

Dallas Commercial Photography

I even expected that she might have to make the sexytimes with her enemies in order to gain their trust. What I didn't expect was the bullshit of Juliette/Sammi's "body betraying her" and her having much O Face with the dude who murdered her father and then allowed all of his children to rape her. I don't give a shit if the guy looks like this . . .

Dallas Commercial Photography

Your body is not going to react in a positive way without your brain being cool with it. Grrrrrrr.

Then you add in the "romance." The synopsis explained to me that there was an additional brother who was soooooo different from all of the brothers and didn't partake in the rape because he's just not like them . . .

Dallas Commercial Photography

Blah, blah, blah. I assume this is to keep the non-psychos (a/k/a people not like me) reading. And maybe I would have kept reading even with the super obvious HEA that would eventually come if it weren't for a couple of things. #1: When Juliette/Sammi finally goes after brother #1, does she cut his wiener off and jam it down his throat like she should? Nope. She slips him something in an energy drink to maybe make him have a heart attack. BORING! I knew this ended in a cliffhanger, I just wanted one like this . . .

Dallas Commercial Photography

And #2: I know it's not my place to say how much an author should charge for a story, but it is my place to determine if I'm willing to buy it. In order to finish this series I would have to drop SIXTEEN dollars. There's no way that's going to happen. I don't believe there's enough material to keep things interesting for six more books, for one thing, and I read a book a day so I can't allow my one-clickery addiction to even contemplate sliding down a slippery slope like buying these after I was less-than-thrilled by Book #1. No offense to Ms. St. Germain - you write well and I'll be interested in seeing what else you come up with now that this series is over.

How far are you willing to go for revenge??? Juliet aka Sam, will stop at nothing to get hers.

Numb with grief and pain there is nothing she won’t do, it’s simple really, all she has to do is
Fuck Dornan over.

Kill his sons.

Live happily ever after.

Years of planning and preparing, she’s finally ready, revenge never tasted so sweet… She’s made her body into something they can’t resist, steeling herself by going back to where it all started, where her world came crashing down, one by one she will get her revenge by sending them all to hell…
One down. Six to go.

Seven Sons is a insanely fucked up story that hooked me from the very first page, it’s ugly, it’s raw and full of hate and I loved every minute of it. Julz is a bad ass chick, chewed and spit out from a world where she was safe and untouched. I truly felt for Julz and wanted to make them pay myself, I wanted them to suffer and to feel the pain she felt. This is the first book in the series that ends off with thoughts of wondering what she has up her sleeve next…

So, I'm not normally a big fan of dark romance. To be honest, I'm a giant chicken and it scares the shit out of me the majority of the time. But today I stood in line for twenty minutes to meet this author and listened to so many people gush about how amazing this series was. Having seen it floating around Goodreads peeps as well, I decided to give it a shot. And I am so glad I did! (PS: Sorry to Jasmine and Allison for cheating on the buddy read! Couldn't help it this was awesome!)

At a very young ago, Julz endured a form of torture that would break most people, and it almost broke her beyond repair. Six years later she is looking for revenge, against the man who wronged her and all of his sons who helped in. Changing her appearance and her identity, she infiltrates the compound where they live. But pretty soon, Julz realizes she may be over her head, but it's too late to turn back now.

 photo pagebreak.png

As I said before, dark is not my usual genre but I could not put this book down! I was hooked from the first page. For a 100+ page book, there was some great character development involved that is normally missing from shorter books. Many horrifying things occurred in this book so if you are easily offended this is not the book for you. I was surprised to find it didn't bother me so much because I was reading along thinking to myself "Get your revenge Julz!!" like a total nerd.

The only thing I had a teeny tiny issue with was how quickly Dornan became obsessed with "Sammi". It seemed to happen really quickly, but since he's fuckin crazy it also makes sense.

I'm looking forward to reading the rest of this series and kind of want a redo on meeting Lili St. Germain so I can fangirl properly this time.

TRIGGER WARNING: Rape.

This book was super disappointing. I went in expecting a badass, takes-no-shit, hateful, murderous, and extremely evil heroine, but I got none of that lmao. This also promises a forbidden romance between the MC and the son of the man that murdered her father, but there really wasn't much and I was actually grateful for that. I want the girl to get her revenge.

Juliette "Sammi" was raped and beaten by Dornan Ross and his six sons at the age of 15. They stole her virginity in the most brutal way possible and left her on the brink of death at the age of fifteen. Two days later they murdered her father and had him framed for a crime he didn't commit. Now she's back as a brand new person, name, and identity. She's back for revenge.

So she gets surgery done, changes the way she looks, changes her name and the girl she once was to someone entirely new. She fools Dornan Ross and lives as his "baby girl," fucking him, while she plans revenge on killing him and his sons who raped her and murdered her father. It was a little disturbing the way Dornan was immediately crazy head over heels for her and letting her live with him. He was literally obsessed with Juliette and fucked her every chance he got. He's like 48 and she's 21, but he doesn't care.

The guys is fucking obsessed with her body. I want him to die a horrible painful death for whatever he's done.

**MAJOR SPOILERS FROM HERE ON**

So, the blurb says that she has to choose between the guy she loves or her revenge, but the guy doesn't even recognize her (bc she got surgery done) and they have no romantic development, except for knowing that they were lovers once in highschool. The story doesn't really focus on their romance, except for her having small feelings and thinking about how she loved him in the past. I'm actually glad that there wasn't much romance. Like I've probably mentioned a few times now, I wanted the girl to fucking murder those fucking bastards for what they did to her and her father.

I hated the way she ended the first and oldest sons life. I expected it to happen in a more bloody and murderous way, but sadly it was really dumb. I think she made him drink some harmful drink (?) and then beat him or something (?) and it wasn't the sweet vengeance I was looking forward to. She also doesn't murder him until the end of the book. Which is quite disappointing, when I was waiting for that epic revenge scene.

Even though she doesn't murder everyone throughout the book, it was still enjoyable and entertaining. I liked reading this and look forward to better revenge in the next book(s). AND DORNANS DEATH BETTER BE GOOD.

This is a story about revenge.

I've seen various mixed reviews for Seven Sons, the first book in the Gypsy Brothers series but it has all the ingredients I like in a book so I thought it was about time I checked it out for myself... And I'm so very glad that I did! It was just my cuppa-darker-reading-tea. Continuing on with the series I discovered the darker twisted path the Gypsy Brothers took me on.... And then CARTEL the prequel to the Gypsy Brothers MC timeline.... I'm going to put my heart into words and say I believe the BEST order to read Lili St, Germain's books is to start at the beginning of her writing order so that's all seven Gypsy Brother novellas and then Cartel. I honestly believe Cartel means so much more having read the later years first.

There’s a bad, bad man and his sons.
A courageous heroine, a boy she used to love, who loved her back and a man who was her hero.

Dornan Ross is the President of The Gypsy Brothers MC. Along with his seven sons he's responsible for ruining the innocence of a fifteen year old Juliet and destroying life as she knew it in every single way. Dornan has an undeniable presence that women find attractive and men aspire to. This doesn't make him a good person. It makes him all the more dangerous but because of his allure he's completely charismatic on the page… I know his sins, or the ones that have been revealed so far, but I still found my reading mind wondering about him and the man beneath.... Is there any good in there?

My feelings about Dornan evolve and then evolve some more…. And they continued to do so throughout the entire seven sons series and then Cartel.

Juliete Portland, even if her mind could heal momentarily, her marked body is a walking reminder of the abhorrent actions from a day six years past, a symbol of the devastating reason she’s compelled to seek revenge. She's courageous, fiercely determined, some would stupid others have said, no one could possibly do what she did.... The fact is something drives her more than fear.... more than her memories. Her greatest incentive is revenge and I totally believed the motivation for the character. Her adrenalin drives her and keeps her fear at bay. She has an inner strength other heroines can only dream about.

She’s 21 and now has the means to carry out her plan….. this is her moment.

I’m amazed how quickly I felt for all the characters, for their relationships, their vengeance and their retribution.

Her past is devastating... she feels ruined.

This chilling story made me cringe, I felt repulsed. The vile evil that one human can do to another... Is Dornan an anti hero? I’m not sure, not yet…. the depths of despair Juliette experienced during and after, the emotions and consequences she went through.... Who would willingly place themselves in this situation? The cynic in me says, would this really happen, would someone be able to do this? But my love of great stories outweighs this thought, as well as the heroines plausible motivation… The author completely drew me into her characters, with their actions and aspirations. So my cynicism was thrown firmly to one side… I really, really, really enjoyed the first part of this series, a series that most definitely has the promise of darker times to come.

The glimmer of a possible romance….. of love juxtaposed to the dark subject makes the reading matter so damn good! I’m looking for a love story and I think I may find one.... Somewhere.

Seven Sons is a four star read for me but by book three this series became a completely wonderful 5 Star read. It simply got better and better and I include Cartel in that sequence. I highly recommend if you enjoy your books on the edgier side, with a dark quality to the subject matter and a main protagonist who makes challenging decisions.

**Note this is the first part in a seven part novella series and all seven have been released

Disappointing...

(Some mild spoilers and a lot of cursing in this review)

I was all hopped up on the description of this book.
Excited about the potential...

A girl fighting to avenge her father...
A corrupt Motorcycle Club...
A tragic loss of innocence plants a seed for revenge..
She will rise like a phoenix from the ashes!!!!

Then I was completely let down.

I'm not sure what happened with this book... So many of the elements should have come together to form a great story, but something was missing.

THE GOOD STUFF:
The tragic past of Juliette Portland (aka Sammi)...
There were a ton of dark moments which reminded Julz of her mission...
There was some decent sex if you can get over the serious ICK factor...
Also on the up-side, this book was free & a very short read... I think it might have taken me a bit longer than usual because I can't read while rolling my eyes...

THE ROUGH STUFF:
As much as I adore fiction (and letting myself slip into a fantasy land) you will never ever convince me that a victim of gang rape is going to go looking for the ringleader of her attack & let him fuck her over a desk within the first 15 minutes of seeing him...

That was my first clue that Juliette Portland was a poor planner of revenge. That was her Plan A! Of course it doesn't take long for her to figure out that maybe she should have had a better plan... But by that time I was less interested in Juliette getting her revenge, my focus was on watching the epic train wreck she was creating.

Also, in the description of this book, we were promised that she was going to fall for the youngest son & that was supposed to be a major complication... That didn't happen... Unless not hating someone somehow translates to love...

Read at your own risk, folks. I doubt I'll be buying the next book when it comes out.

***4 "Revenge is so sweet!!!" stars***

Well, I've read these two stories of Lili St. Germain backward, since I've started from the prequel of this one, the "Cartel" stories and the only thing that i can say is that this series are so freakin' addictive!!!

And i will add that i fuckin' NEEDED this story, after the fucked up ending of "Empire"!!!
I fucking CRAVE it!!!! And i LOVED it!!!

Julie was an innocent girl who in the age of fifteen paid for others mistakes!!!
She was just a kid and she 've been violated in the worst way by Dornan Ross, a man that she thought a family, and his six sons!!!

Dornan was her father's best friend and they were both members of the Gypsy Brothers MC....
But then, Dornan pissed off with John and he killed him, but before his death, he and his sons destroyed poor Juliette's innocence in every aspect!!!!

“What was born as fear and grief has long since blossomed into hatred and rage.”

Now, after six years, Julz is ready to take her revenge...
Dornan and his sons will pay for everything they done to her and her father...

In order to do it, she is taking extreme measures and big risks!!!
And the things are not going as she was expecting, but maybe even better....
But what will cost for her soul???

"Tomorrow is truly my birthday, for I will become another person. Today my name is Juliette Portland, but tomorrow I will wake up as someone else entirely.
Someone who will bring Dornan Ross and the Gypsy Brothers Motorcycle Club to their knees."

Dornan Ross is drown into her like a moth into the flames and Juliette is taking advantage of that!!!
The only problem is Jase, Dornan's seventh son who used to be Juliette's first love!!!
Will Juliette have the strength to get her revenge no matter what???

My mantra, a chant that keeps me sane in times of trepidation.
Fuck Dornan over.
Kill his sons.
Send the rest to jail....
Live happily ever after.

This was an interesting introduction to this series...
I loved very much Julz, since she was just an innocent child and my heart was breaking for her because of the attrocities that she had to face...
I'm craving her revenge...
I want to see all the Ross's to suffer before they will choke in their own blood...

Yeah, i know that I'm a little bit bloodthirsty, but believe me!!! Those fuckers deserve to die!!!
Dornan is a really bad person and their sons are the same, as him!!!
My only objection is the closeness between Jules and Dornan... It's difficult to witness it and i don't like it!!! But, i understand that it's the only way...

"It's ironic, really. That, cunning as they all are, they don't realize their judge, jury and executioner stands before them, painted in roses and ink."

Jase had suffered too in the hands of Dornan and his brothers...
He is very different from them and he deserves more....

I'm very curious for his reactions when he realises that Sammi is his beloved Juliette!!!!

“Jase looks intrigued, and I have to wonder if he senses something about me. About us. After all, I might be Samantha now, but before that I was Juliette, the first girl he ever loved.”

As for the ending????
It was very satisfying, but i wanted something more...

Chad deserved something more... hurtful!!!

“Who are you?”
“My name is Juliette,” I whisper, “and you just got fucked…”

A strongly written story that packs a punch. It's intense and gritty, it's definitely not for the faint of heart. My stomach was in knots for the majority of this story. Seven Sons does not romanticize the biker world, it's a harsh slap in the face.

Once I set my sights on vengeance, life made perfect sense.

At 15 Juliet's life is forever change - now after 6 years and a transformation, Sammi is ready to hand out seek retribution. Sammi's story has my mind all messed up and there were a few things that didn't work for me, but I couldn't stop reading.

It's ironic, really. That, cunning as they all are, they don't realize their judge, jury and executioner stands before them, painted in roses and ink.

“Confucius said, “Before embarking upon a journey of revenge, dig two graves.”

I planned to dig seven.”

Classic case of 'I just read a few pages and see what all the fuzz is about'...suffice it to say, I read the whole thing in one go. Damn, that was something!

Sooo...

I'm glad you asked. Juliette is serving death to a bunch of bastards. Nothing much really.

Six years ago she lost everything; her family, her innocence and for all intents and purposes her life. Now that she has had enough time to form a plan, grow up and buy herself a complete new face and body she is ready to dish out some hurt herself. And she does it while sitting in the middle of the viper's nest.

The targets? Dornan Ross and his sick sons.

“What was born as fear and grief has long since blossomed into hatred and rage.”

Well, what can I say? It's dark and twisted and not for the faint of heart. So far, it also isn't a romance story. I can guess what the endgame will be, but for now there are no rainbows and unicorns.

Actually, my guess is the things that happened in Seven Sons are just a little warm up. It probably will get a lot worse before any kind of light will appear at the end of the tunnel.

I'm ready!

All things considered I was surprised how the 'dark stuff' didn't really bother me too much. I'm beginning to get a little desensitised. Nothing that happened really shocked me or made me turn away in disgust. Which is actually a bit sad and sick on my part, I guess. Because

One star gets taken away for swimming in salt water after getting a new tattoo. Seriously? That's just dumb.

Not sure if I will review every single book in the series, but I will keep you posted how things are progressing. ;D

2.5 to 3 stars ...

Not really sure how I felt about this one. I mean could you really forget what happened in your past and let someone be near you like that?

Will I continue the series? I will probably read book 2 and see how I find that. If it doesn’t rock my boat, I might give up.

“He’s really tall, well over six foot, and hot to boot. His arms both feature full tattoo sleeves. His face is a study in contradictions. He has the sexiness and spunk of a man, with his large brown eyes, thick, beautifully shaped eyebrows and olive-toned skin. His lips are full and wide, and I think for a split second what they would be like to kiss.”

One of my problems is that I just finished an excellent MC book and its going to take a lot of book to live up to expectations. Maybe I should stick with another genre for a while.

Seven Sons is the first book of the Gypsy Brothers series. I must admit that I was a bikers virgin and this is my first approach with this kind of MCs. I assume that it won't be my last, although I am not that much into gore, so that can seriously affect me..

Nonetheless, I loved this book!! The story is quite intriguing, it's very intense and keeps me waiting for more! I can't wait to get deeper into the story ;)

“Because,” I say playfully, tracing his lips with my finger, “I’m yours?”
He just fucking laughs. “What have I done to deserve you?” he breathes.
Now I am the one who laughs.

This is a dark story of a girl who changed her identity in order to take revenge against the family who destroyed her life. They took everything from her, when she was fifteen and now she's back to take down Dornan and his seven sons, who murdered her father, raped her and marked her skin.

The only problem in her plan is his youngest son, Jase, who is her first love.. Will he change her plans or is she going to take down his family, including him?

I really enjoyed the writing even though it was a short read. It seemed fast pacing at moments and sadly my only problems with this book cannot be told to those who haven't read it yet. So, do not read, unless you want to be spoiled. [I warned you! ;D]

I don't know if I should recommend the series yet, because I've been let down by others, so I will say that I enjoyed a lot the first installment & will say if I recommend it, when I'm probably done with them!

I could picture Quentin Tarantino transforming this book series in a kickass movie or a TV series. Juliette could be one perfect heroine like the ones that can be used only in his movies, where the female protagonist does not hesitate to take her revenge no matter what. No boundaries.

When she was 15, Julz Portland was brutally raped by Dornan (the leader of the Gypsy Brothers MC) and his sons.

Why Dornan did that? To prove something? To teach a lesson? To gain a club and the organization that belonged to Julz’s father? He certainly enjoyed the whole thing. His sons made him proud. He even made a tape of the rape.

Julz, completely broken, barely survives. A young officer helped her escape and made everyone think she was dead.

Dornan takes her father’s place at the club and the little teenage girl is forced to grow up, make hard decisions to survive and plan her revenge.

A revenge which is quite simple: Take them all out one by one.

6 years later she is back with a new name, new hair, new eyes, new boobs and a new tattoo.

And you wonder:
How far can she go?
How much can she endure in their hands (especially Dornan’s hands) all over her again?

The answer is simple and it is provided fairly soon. She will go all the way. She will let them touch her, fuck her. She will not hesitate. She will not cry like a baby. And she will soon belong to the man who killed her father and who killed her innocent soul.

Strong, solid story. A lot of things happened in just 100 pages.
A really good start to the series.

NOW THIS IS HOW YOU WRITE A FUCKING MC BOOK !!!
HOLY SHIT BALLS PEOPLE

description

Now this is how you write a Fucking MC book.
Holy shit balls people.

Lili has set up a brilliant start to what I predict to be an epic series. Like Sons of Anarchy? How about Revenge?
Well you will fucking love this Series.
Imagine an episode of Sons of Anarchy had an affair with Revenge... Seven Sons would be their love child.
Each book plays out like a tv episode, what you get is jam packed with WTF moments that pack a punch. You will not be disappointed.

Six years after cheating Death we meet Sammi. Having everything ripped away from her at the age of 15. Sammi is out for revenge and Dornan Ross and his 7 Sons will pay...
For the last six years Sammi has mourned the loss of her family, her innocence and her identity. As the years pass she has slowly come to terms with the grief and turned it into hatred.
Now is the time for retribution...

Sammi is a Kickass heroine that puts all to shame. The fact that she is able to do what she is doing actually makes me wanna award her as my most kickass female lead EVER!
The scene in the office with Dornan had me saying WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK... I didn't think she would do that...

"You wanna dance first or fuck first?" he asks casually. I grin from ear to ear, becuase I'm in.
And I know it.
"Mr Ross," I say, leaning over the desk so that my tits are inches from his face, "after I fuck you, it won't matter how well I dance."

I have read a couple of reviews that say they seem to have a love/hate thing for Dornan. Me...

Hell to the fucking NO!

I hate that motherfucker
Sure he is sexy and an Alpha Pres in a Motorcycle Club. But that fucker is crazy.
Like cray cray.

He swings around and presses the tip of the gun to my forehead. I gasp....
"You know what I did for you? The risk I took?" I nod
"I fucking risked EVERYTHING for you, and you don't even care?

Through out the story you're taken back to the past through flash backs, you see exactly how Dornan and his sons took Sammi's innocence and how it all played out. Dornan is one sick son of a bitch and no amount of sexy times will make me EVER question that.

After a few encounters Sammi is left questioning if this is the right thing she has embarked on, but the need for Revenge weighs strongly and wins in the end.
What she wasn't counting on was the youngest Ross son. We don't get a lot of detail into their past, but a connection is made between Jase and Sammi and you egarly await to see where that takes them.

When Sammi gets her chance to exact revenge on the first son she is in there and you can't help but find yourself cheering on the sidelines for her to smoke the fucker!

Of course it doesn't end there. It doesn't end in a massive cliffy but just gives you taste of what's next to come next. Seven Sons is classified as serial. This book is about half the size of an average novel, because the "episodes" are designed to be released in quick succession.

"A serial is a story that is being told in successive parts. They are chronological installments of an overarching story line with smaller stories happening in each part."

This does not take away one bit from the experience, in fact, I found it has increased it's effect on me. I can't stop thinking about it. I can't stop talking about it. I can't wait to see how it all pans out!

Lili St Germain, has crafted a devilish read that will have you on the edge of your seat, begging for more. Her characters are dark and twisted and you can't help be sucked in to the fucked up world they live in. I couldn't get enough, she sucker punched me right where it hurts and left me panting for more. GIVE ME MORE LILI. I need my hands on the next instalment stat!
Well played Lili, well played.

This is not your typical "lovey dovey" romance; it is dark, gruesome, and twisted. "Seven Sons" is the first serial novella out of seven; Lili St. Germain has created a unique series that will leave you cringing in your chair at some of the events that take place during this book. I still haven't decided if the heroine is brave, or just plain stupid to put herself at risk like she did. One thing is for sure, its time for Julz to get even.

How far would you be willing to go for revenge? Well, Julz is willing to go far beyond what most would. She has very good reason though. When she was 15 years old, she was held down and raped by the President of the MC and his six sons. It was brutal and traumatizing;and came with some disastrous results. Not only was she harmed; but Dornan killed her father as well.

Six years later and Julz is ready to put her plan into place to get her revenge. The extremes that she goes to in order to do it is mind boggling. She is no longer Julz; but she now has a new identity and her name is Samantha. She goes through with her plan; but learns very quickly that she may have bit off more than she can chew. It is too late to get out though, and with Dornan obsessed with her it isn't going to be easy to carry this plan out. Samantha runs into some huge surprises along the way, but she is determined to see this through. She wants the father dead and all his evil sons..well...except the youngest one; Jase. She use to love him, and she quickly finds out that he still is able to make her have strong feelings for him. He is a major complication that she didn't anticipate. What will happen as she falls deeper and deeper in love with Jase? Will she still be able to carry out her plan to kill his brothers? Or will she just walk away?

This first installment of the serial series may have been short; but it is full of action, sex, violence, and even some romance. There was never a dull moment, and even though this is a very dark series I have enjoyed every minute of it so far. I can't wait to see what Julz will do, and what other surprises are in store for us readers! I am glad that I took a chance on this series, and author who I have never tried before. I now have yet another author to add to my auto buy list!!

The ENTIRE story is supposed to be about this chick’s revenge, so pardon me if I tell you that I was disappointed as fuck over how badly she sucked at revenge planning. I mean, seriously! What a fricken moron!!

The writing is decent and I like the dark feel of this story, but I can’t handle this dumbass MC. Maybe I’m judging too quickly but I don’t feel like buying the next installment in this serial to find out either way (now see, if this had been done as a book instead of this serial crap, I would’ve probably kept reading. But since I have a clear-cut option to stop, I’m gonna stop.)

The Gypsy Brothers series is about one thing. Revenge. And boy do I hope the heroine gets it.

Six years ago, Juliette Portland nearly died by the hands of Dornan Ross and six of his sons. Since they all believe she died, she has the perfect opportunity to get her revenge. Although bearing the seven scars across her hip made by them, she has transformed the rest of her body in hopes of infiltrating the club under disguise to kill them all. She is not only getting payback for what happened to her, but for for killing her father, the president of the MC club, as well.

So far her plan has worked, and Dornan is smitten by Juliette, now called Samantha/Sammi. Even knowing she must do unspeakable acts, it's the only way to get close enough to get to all seven who did her wrong. What she didn't expect, was Jason still being there. Her first love and youngest brother, Jase was there trying to help her when his father and brothers were torturing her all those years ago. Time has not changed, and the two are starting a friendship.

Will Julz get her revenge? Does Jason recognize her? Will her feelings for him ruin her chances of killing all of his brothers?

 photo imagejpg3_zpsdfa8f0b7.jpg

I really enjoyed the start to this series. It encompasses a lot of the things I look for in an exciting read. Knowing this is just the tip of the iceberg, I'm looking forward to seeing if and how all of these assholes meet their demise.

I think the flashbacks to getting more of the backstory are placed really well. My heart goes out to Julz, and I hope she makes them all suffer. I really wish Dornan didn't get so obsessive about her so quickly.

Overall an exciting and brutal read, which I love. Since these are novellas, and you only get small snippets, it's hard to write a full review when you are just scratching the surface. I may just run through all of these and then do a final review once I've read them all. We'll see. :)

RAPE..REVENGE..LOVE LOST..LOVE FOUND..VENGEANCE..DEATH..REBORN..

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

My father was most certainly "NOT" an innocent man, as the leader of the "Gypsy Brothers MC", he was guilty of many things, he wasn't above laundering and drug manufacturing..

Dornan framed my father for a crime he did not commit, the murder of a cop and his family, at the age of fifteen Dornan and his sons killed her father..

Juliette's mother sold her out for a bag of blow..Juliette was raped at the age of fifteen (a virgin),cut up like a piece of meat, branded with seven horizontal lines on her right hip, each line stacked on top of the other, representing Dornan Ross and a line each for his six older sons..

"Juliette Portland" was reported dead in the hospital from internal bleeding..

"I'M GONNA MAKE YOU A STAR!!"

Today my name is "Juliette Portland", but tomorrow the day of my twenty-first birthday I will wake up as someone else entirely new, my new name will be "Samantha" Sammi.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Twelve hours is all it will take to make her into a completely new person and nothing like Juliette, a new nose, new skin, porcelain veneers, fuller cheekbones and a new set of in your face boobs..And down the track a new tattoo to cover the scar on her hip (roses and a phoenix rising from the ashes)

Out for Revenge..Out for Blood..An Eye for an Eye..

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The new Juliette will bring Dornan Ross and the "Gypsy Brothers Motorcycle Club" to their knees one by one..

It all comes down to Dornan hiring her as a dancer for the club, if she can get in the door she can put her revenge into place, what she didn't expect was some of the consequences that befell her once she was through that door..

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The only thing that I felt was missing with this book was the connection between Jase and Juliette..Her first love..There's only glimpses of that throughout the book..

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This book was almost like a teaser for things to come, I can't wait to read the next installments!! If this book is anything to go by it's going to be one fucked up hell of a ride!!

**ARC kindly provided by author in exchange for an honest review**

So, I finished this book awhile ago and I've been sitting on my review of it because I just wasn't sure what to rate it. I felt like I was missing bits to the story... and you know what I realised after chatting to some other bloggers - I was and that's okay because it's a SERIAL. It's like watching a TV show and you're not meant to have all the answers after the first book!

So, to the characters.

Sammi. I LOVE Sammi!

Strong.
Tough.
Unrelenting.
Fierce.

She is out for revenge and will do WHATEVER it takes to exact that revenge. Let me repeat that.. WHATEVER IT TAKES. Dornan Ross and his sons took everything from her when she was younger and she needs their blood in return. I have a bit of a girl crush on Sammi because I totally love strong heroines and she fucking kicks ass!

Dornan Ross. President of the MC. Twisted, sick fuck. I hate him! To me, there is not an ounce of anything in him that could turn me on or make me like him. Lili has done an awesome job of writing Dornan because I can totally picture clearly everything she has him say and do. And I just want to take a gun, hold it to his head and shoot that motherfucker! So, yeah, the writing here is top notch because I felt absolutely everything Lili was portraying.

To exact her revenge, Sammi must worm her way into Dornan's life and find a way to take out his sons one by one and then ultimately, him. BUT, then there is Jase, one of Dornan's sons and Sammi has a history with him. It will be interesting to see how this part of the story pans out - I am hanging to find that out!

And then there is Elliot - Sammi's friend who has always been there for her. I swooned over Elliot and I have my fingers crossed that these two will eventually get together. But, OH... Jase... maybe she should end up with Jase. Oh my... Lili, well played, well fucking played! So many possibilities and you've given us just enough to whet our appetite and leave us hanging for the next installment.

You won't find hearts and fucking flowers here. If that's what you're looking for, move on. But, if you're looking for a well written, dark and dirty story that will tug at your emotions and make you feel, walk this way.

Seven Sons is a dark book. There’s not just hardcore violence, but other things too. Let’s just say you must have an open mind reading this book. The plot is a bit difficult to believe, but you just have to go with it.

Juliette’s virginity was taken from her by Dornan and his sons. Years later, she is ready for revenge. She plans on killing Dornan and his sons for what they did to her. Dornan and his sons are part of an MC.

I have a love and hate relationship with min-books or serials as some call them. I find them to be annoying, yet addictive at the same time. Seven Sons is pretty short, but it packs with a punch.

The beginning instantly drew me in. Reading Juliette’s past is very hard, but it kept me so interested! It’s dark, twisted and it will get you to feel for her.

She will do anything to get revenge and I mean A.N.Y.T.H.I.N.G.

I guess that’s where my first issue comes from. I’m not sure I can stomach all the things Juliette is willing to do to get revenge. She becomes part of the MC world and that part is okay, but it’s what she does to get into it and what she does to be in it, it’s hard to stomach. I should clarify.

I mean, it’s hard for me to get into it Juliette’s character based on her actions. I understand it’s an MC book and so it’s like its own world. The guys’ rape girls, kill people and drink a lot. Okay, no big deal, but to read in detail all those events, especially when it’s around Juliette, I just couldn’t understand her.

Then again, all of that stuff did get me hooked and I couldn’t put it down. It’s like watching a bad accident, I don’t want to do it, but I do it anyhow and it leaves me feeling kind of unsettled.

I think each book will be circled around each brother, I haven’t read the whole series, so I don’t know, I am guessing.

Overall, Seven Sons isn’t bad, it’s just different and it’s definitely not romance. I mean there’s another character in there, but I wouldn’t say he’s the Hero of the book, at least not yet.

I’m moving on to the next book, but I’m on guard.

I don't actually want to be a man...

...but if I had a beard right now I would be stroking it (minds out of the gutter) and saying, "Interesting. Very Interesting."

I like the idea of Seven Sons. I don't think I've read a revenge story exactly like this one. Seen it in movies, perhaps. Getting plastic surgery as a means to hide in plain site so you can exact revenge on the group of men who violently raped and tortured you = not orthodox.

Btw, if you're sensitive to descriptive rape scenes, this is not the book for you. Just a heads up.

This is a different kind of Motorcycle club story, which is something that scores a few points with me. There isn't really a female swooning over a bad boy, at least not in the traditional romance novel sense (even though there is a romance brewing in the background). Nope. This chick is all about her business. Get in, dispatch the shitheads, get out. THAT's the order of the day.

I think the lead female was somewhat off-putting at times but I really couldn't put my finger on why. Something about her personality rubbed me the wrong way. As well, a few of her decisions struck me as bizarre, but more so in the "I sure as hell wouldn't have made that choice" kind of way, and not so much like the rampant idiocy (not counting the tattoo business that my friend Mich mentioned in her review, which was stupid) that many of the female leads in other MC books seem to possess. So this is probably a plus/minus thing when it comes to Sami.

I'm willing to run with it and see how this chick manages to take down a powerful club. The writing has been enough to hold my interest, so I'm moving on to story 2 right now. The serial installments work in this instance because of the different brothers featured. For once, I'm really liking the short story format.

I really, really like the sound of it. Nope, I don't like it, I looove the sound of it. Can I have this book, now? Pretty please?

My father was most certainly NOT an innocent man. As the leader of the Gypsy Brothers MC, he was guilty of many things. But he died for a crime that he didn’t commit, framed by an enemy within who then stole his club and everything he had ever worked to protect.

Including my innocence.

When Dornan Ross framed my father, he set into motion a series of events that could never be undone. My father was murdered in prison under the not-so-watchful eyes of bribed prison guards, when I was fifteen years old.

Before my father died, Dornan Ross and his seven sons stole my innocence, branded my skin and in doing so, ensured that their lives would be prematurely cut short. That they would suffer.

I’ve just turned twenty-one, and I’m out for blood.

Because when everything has been stripped away, all a girl is left with is revenge.

But I didn't expect to fall for Jase, the youngest brother in the club.

I didn't expect that he would turn my world upside down, yank my heart out of my chest and ride away into the sunset with it.

Now, I'm faced with an impossible choice - Jase, or avenging my fathers death?

Hooked from the first page. This book was wicked! Revenge on a MC club? Yes. Dangerous and crazy. Hell yes. Is it really necessary to risk your life for revenge? In this case--Absofuckinlutely!!! Sammi's plan is brilliant and what an incredibly strong heroine. This is not an easy read as it contains rape and abuse.
I loved Lili's writing and I'm in for the next book or however many books it takes for "Sammi" to get her retribution.
