    Amazing, awesome, killer. ... I can keep them going. This story was fantastic and a now favourite of mine. Without a doubt, a certain read again. "Body" has the right amount drama, sex, hot billionaires and damsels in distress! Now I don't give out 5 stars very often but this one is deserving of it.

    So Body is book 1 in the trinity trilogy, and sets the whole scene for a very hot and high strung romance between 2 complicated characters. When I started reading I thought it was going to be yet another poor girl living a terrible life until Mr billionaire comes a sweeps her off her feet, but this was not the case. Gillian (Gigi) Callahan is a smart woman with a great job at Safe Haven Foundation as a Fundraising manager, she loves her job, it was the one thing that certainly saved her life.... It now has her Chicago for a board of directors meeting, but a quick drink after she arrives has her meeting the most gorgeous man she has ever seen.

    Chase Davis is a quintessential, man of any woman's dreams. Hot to trot, mega rich and a nice guy if you forgive his "I want it now" attitude that comes with owning Davis Industries and its subsidiaries. While meeting with some apparent friends he sees a gorgeous red head and cannot walk away from her. While trying to buy this stranger a drink, her quick attitude makes him want her more, and what Chase wants, Chase gets.... One Gillian Callahan is no exception.

    The next morning while preparing her speech for the board, she is face to face with her handsome stranger, never thinking that Chase would be the founder, chairman and director or the board for Safe Haven. Once again Chase makes it very obvious he will have Gigi, and as much as she wants to give in to him her previous experience with violent ex-boyfriends has her very much on guard. There is something about Chase though that makes her comfortable with him, able to trust him.

    After a terrible 1st date where another woman all but makes out with Chase right in front of Gigi and an horrific mugging lands Gillian in hospital with cuts and broken bones, she comes too in the hospital, it is Chase that is there for her... He is clearly upset, and distraught over what has happened to Gigi, feeling guilty, that she ran because of him. Knowing she must heal she gives in to Chase and all but moves in with him.

    Giving herself to him, opens up all the old wounds, someone like Chase doesn't want a severely damaged woman like her. Trying to keep everything from Chase she confides in best friends Ria, Kathleen, Bree and Phillip. Those four know the real Gillian Callahan and what life has thrown at her, but she is survivor and she throws caution to the wind.... Wild sex with Chase Davis will be perfect. She just never realized how quickly she would fall in love with him, and it seems the same happens for Chase.

    As the pair share what was their past, it becomes obvious that Gillian is not the only one with a tortured childhood and as Chase comes clean she feels like she can open up to him.... But can a man like Chase, who is a control freak just be with Gillian? or does his constant controlling behavior ruin their relationship before it really starts?

    With a new relationship, her best friend Phillip against Chase, him being the major benefactor of the place she works with the job she adores, Chase's past with women and one bitch in particular, an apparent stalker, Chase's humorous bodyguard Jack, living arrangements and his less than excepting mother, poor Gillian has more to deal with than any normal relationship. Everything with Chase and Gillian is problematic, except for their sexual chemistry, it is off the charts, I just hope they can last....

    I am very much looking forward to the next installment in this great trilogy.

    When I found out that Audrey had a new book coming out, I had to jump on board. I adored her Falling series. They contained such witty, fun loving, strong characters; her sex scenes were hawt and she had a lovely writing style that I quite enjoyed. So, naturally I jumped on board, no questions asked. It wasn't until I finished the first chapter that I thought I'd better go and read the synopsis to find out what I was getting into (LOL).

    Gillian Callahan, or Gigi to all her friends is a 24 year old redheaded beauty that has experienced more than a 24 year old woman should have in her years. Her dad skipped out when she was little and therefore was raised alone by her mum. No other siblings or extended family, Gillian grew up essentially alone, her mum trying to teach her that you need to be self-reliant.

    Unfortunately, Gigi's mother passes young, taken by cancer and Gigi ends up getting lost in man. The wrong type of man. Gigi becomes the victim of domestic violence. Now those of you follow me would know that I have a soft spot for books that contain real life issues, or what some would call confronting or dark. Domestic violence, rape, abuse - whether it be emotional, mental or physical is real. Here in Australia one in three women will experience domestic violence at some point in their adult life (AIC, 2014). I love it when authors try to address these types of issues. This is a topic I'm passionate about - no wonder I'm half way through obtaining degrees in both Justice and Law. Anyways, I digress. Gigi meets the delicious billionaire, Chase Davis.

    I quite liked Gigi's character (particularly her dislike for seafood, because in my opinion, she's right - their bottom dwellers, it's like eating the cockroaches of the sea haha). She could be a bit wishy-washy at times, but given her past it's understandable that she fights to not relinquish all of her control to the rich alpha male that is chasing after her affections. What I also loved was the relationships Gigi had with her friends and to find out that they were loosely inspired by Ms Carlan's real life friends, brings a whole other dimension to them. I would assume a lot of us have friends (I know I have) that are quite similar in their core characteristics, fiercely protective and accepting, yet ready to be straight with you and serve you a platter of whoop a*s when you need it!

    Chase has some similar demons of his own from his past and in typical billionaire, alpha male style, Chase tries to fix problems with his money and power. Chase is definitely the typical rich billionaire that we have seen in so many books, so in that aspect he kind of annoyed me, yet I do have a soft spot for them as Christian Grey will always be my number one book boyfriend.

    All in all, a great start to the trilogy and I'm looking forward to Gigi's and Chase's story continuing in the next part.

    THis is a must-read but I will warn any prospective readers that you must get Book 2 and Book 3 lined up and ready to move on to !

    The first book of a trilogy which I thoroughly enjoyed. The thing is, I love steamy romances as well as a good thriller and this trilogy ticked both boxes for me. Audrey Carlan covers the painful subject of domestic abuse and portrays how a victim can move on.

    Gillian is forging ahead in a fulfilling career working for a charity who helps domestic abuse victims when she runs into the delicious businessman Chase Davis. The sparks fly when they get together and boom...the sex is super hot!!!!

    No more spoilers from me but I highly recommend this book.

    Chase ... meu Deus, ele era seu típico homem alfa. Foi bom ver que a relação que eles tinham era intensa, mas tinha uma pureza para ele. Foi ferido romanticamente no passado, mas outra vez, isso moveu dentro dele e encontrou outro que poderia amar.

    Esses dois personagens se tornaram tão conectados, eu me apaixonei por eles instantaneamente. Eu podia sentir sua intensidade. Certamente a melhor trilogia da Audrey.
