Ruth Cardello was born the youngest of 11 children in a small city in northern Rhode Island. She spent her young adult years moving as far away as she could from her large extended family. She lived in Boston, Paris, Orlando, New York--then came full circle and moved back to New England. She now happily lives one town over from the one she was born in. For her, family trumped the warmer weather and international scene.

She was an educator for 20 years, the last 11 as a kindergarten teacher. When her school district began cutting jobs, Ruth turned a serious eye toward her second love- writing and has never been happier. When she's not writing, you can find her chasing her children around her small farm or connecting with her readers online.

    Julia has come to New York to sell her jewelry designs. She has taken a job to help pay the bills, while she sets out to find buyers. Little does Julia know that when she goes to check on an office that has been left open for her job as night security, her entire world would be turned upside down. She is taken by surprise and clobbers the man she finds in the office with a table lamp. Then she finds he is not an intruder, but the owner of the company.
    This is a hilarious love story where the heroine stays true to her beliefs and never falters from her values. By doing so she not only unhinges her boss Gio, (who is the typical multimillionaire who is used to getting his way) but she helps him see the true value of things in life. This is definitely well worth the read. I can't wait to start the 2nd book in this series!

    The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars, was due to our h giving in to fast. She was spunky, strong and honorable to a fault. But, she caved to fast and that bothered me. She did redeem herself and I loved the near ending when she stood up for herself.

    Our H is arrogant and closes himself off. How our h bring him around is well worth the read and their banter is spot on. I enjoyed how the author brought out all the personalities of the brother's and I can't wait for their stories.

    There is very hot descriptive lovemaking, but I did feel a connection to this couple so it seemed right. Romance builds slowly which is what I want in a story and we do get an HEA too. No cliffhanger for our couple, but of course you are curious how everything with the other family member's work
    out.

    There were more than a few twists and suspenseful moments and I would recommend this story. I am not going into the blurb, because many people have explained it better than I can, just what you may discover reading it. (ljb)

    Gio Andrade is the gorgeous, greek good CEO and head of his branch of the Andrade family. When his father died, there was no question he would head the family business and protect those linked to him by blood. One problem, the company his father had created was bankrupt and the family had split in more ways than one.

    Julie Bennett was in New York working to save her father's furniture business. With her mother sick with cancer and the furniture company about to financially default, Julia's solution was to attempt to sell her jewelry designs to the jewelers of New York, and so make the money necessary to save the family business. In the meantime, working night shifts as a security guard for the Andrades corporation paid her bills and allowed her to send money home.

    When Gio and Julie first meet it is like a scene from the Keystone Cops! It is after hours, he is not dressed in a suit but in sweats, and she is about to leave for the day. As she is checking why one of the doors in the executive suite is open, she finds Gio trying to break into a desk. Her reaction is defensive and this meeting ends with Gio's forehead sporting a huge lump after Julie slams him with a lamp in order to defend herself. And this is only the beginning of their tumultuous relationship!

    If you are a fan of Ruth Cardello's novels, you will be delighted by this book. It is funny, emotional, steamy and most of all entertaining. If you have never read her novels, this is a great beginning for you.

    I am a fan of all Ruth Cardello's books and I enjoyed reading this book but just felt it was the same story I have read tons of times by all different authors. To be honest I was a little bored reading it. I liked the female character Julie and her family background and her moral's that she stuck too but it took me awhile to like Gio. The type of male character he was written as was like so many others that I have read. The beginning before they got together seemed to go on forever, they would meet, than banter, than have pages of pages of the thoughts from each of them of why or why not they should get together, than the next chapter it would start all over again. The book finally picked up when they got together and I started to feel for Gio. I just felt the whole story was predictable and not as exciting as Cardello's previous books that had a mystery to the story.

    I did like the dialogue between Julie and Gio. I loved how Julie spoke her mind and didn't want to be treated like all the other women in Gio's past. I loved how Ruth Cardello writes so I felt like I was right there with the characters, although there were a few typos, the writing was well done. I loved that some of the characters from the past series, like Stephen & Nicole, Abby & Dominic, Lil & Jake, Maddy and her uncles. I wish there were more characters but it was great catching up with those characters. I look forward to reading more of Gio's brothers, I really enjoyed them.

    As this is my very first review, I have to say that I have enjoyed this book tremendously. This book had all my favorite components of a good story in it. It had the intensity, the alpha male, the strong woman, connection to other characters in other books, happy ever after and lets not forget the great sex. No good book should be without it. I loved the emotional journey that the characters went on and how each person is some how woven into the story.The story moved along at a good pace. At no time was I bored or skipped pages to get to the end. It made me go and research the author and now I am so going to buy all her books in this and other series. It is a great book and start of a series and I would recommend it for those who wants a break from the paranormal type books.

    I really enjoyed the book and the storyline. It's not only about love but about family, disappointments and a hidden truth.

    Here the girl (Julia) is a down-to-earth and honest woman who wants to success by selling her own jewellery and isn't lured by money. Basically, she doesn't care about how rich is the guy. And Gio is a millionaire and hot businessman who doesn't know how to handle his feelings for Julia. We find him struggling with a new situation for him since all what he was used to do to sleep with a woman doesn't work now.

    Definitely I'm looking forward to read more about the Andrades family.

    I have read all of Ruth Cardello's books. With each book I have read I fall more and more in love with the story. I loved her Legacy Series. And now I love The Andrades Series. You will recognize the name Andrades from the Legacy Series. Trust me when I say this series is just as hot as her Legacy Series.

    Gio oh what a man he is. Sexy, Strong, and knows what he wants. I love how he is around Julia. Of course I love what happens when he is with his brothers.

    Julia man she is one strong woman. I love how she never gives up on selling her jewelery. I love how she doesn't back down from Gio. These two people were a match made in heaven. Oh and before I forget as if Ruth would let us forget that some of her Legacy Series Characters are in this book as well.

    Omg I loved this book, Julia is a great character, sweet, loving, hard working and overall an amazing person, she meets Gio at work when she mistakes him for a thief. Gio is a businessman, hard working and never lets emotions get in his way but when he sees Julia he starts to feel something new to him. Julia opens up a world that he didn't even know existed and makes him question his life. I love Gio and Julia as a couple. This story is great, it's got a great plot, amazing characters, lots of difficult decisions, lots of Angst, lots of amazing sex, some really sweet moments and of course it's about a family which leads to more stories, gotta love it. Ruth Cardello is becoming one of my favourite authors for sweet romances so would highly recommend.
