Terri Anne Browning is a USA TODAY bestselling author. Being dyslexic, she never thought a career in writing would be possible, yet she has been on bestselling lists multiple times since 2013. Reese: A Safe Haven Novella was her first Indie published book. The Rocker Who Holds Me changed the tables and kicked off The Rocker... series featuring the sinfully delicious members of Demon's Wings. The Rocker... Series is now complete with 12 books and the occasional novella. Other books by Terri Anne include the Angel's Halo MC Series, as well as The Lucy & Harris Novella Series, The Vitucci Mafiosos Series, and The Tainted Knights Rocker Series.
Terri Anne lives in Virginia with her husband, their three demons---err, children--and a hyper Frenchie named Grunt.
These MC's fall in love, faster than my dog Harold, shakes off his little willy, after bestowing his piss on the trunk of the lucky avocado tree.
15 year old me would've given this 4 stars and made the appropriate silly, girlish faces over the H. But somehow, insta-love has become such an overdone trope that I can only enjoy it if it's done really well, by an author whose style of writing is a bit more impressive.
This author's style of writing is very basic and her vocabulary isn't that expansive but she is quite good at plot pacing, so at least I didn't get bored with the story at any point in time.
I liked both MC's but felt that the major conflict ( H's secret marriage of convenience to his late brother's slaggy penis polisher unhinged, drug addicted and cheating girlfriend ) was set up for the dumbest reasons.
And, since this marriage to the OW, Klara, was supposed to be the H's big, bad secret that provided so much conflict later on, it would've been better if the author could've drummed up some adequate justification for it.
The H was the powerful pakhan of his Bratva group and it was emphasized repeatedly that he was a very scary guy. He didn't have to marry the OW Klara, in order to protect, and provide for, his nephew. The author could've made her the daughter of another powerful mafia boss, since that would've been more credible. As it was, I didn't see why the H had had to marry her.
He could've had her killed or paid her off in return for his nephew. The latter is what he ended up doing, anyway, when he wanted a divorce to marry the heroine. She didn't even like her son and she was a sociopathic, promiscuous drug addict who'd been responsible for his brother's murder. So, it would've been no huge tragedy for the *big, scary mafioso* to get rid of her.
I expected more from this author, because her early Angel's Halo MC series had been quite enjoyable and written in a more mature style. I can't help but wonder whether she rushed through this Vitucci Mafioso series...
Safety: No OM, the OW is the H's secret wife ( of inconvenience ) and no cheating - well, except for the fact that he has a wife. LOL. The H always hated his wife, never shared a house with her and had never had sex with her, even though she kept throwing herself at him. She'd been his brother's slagfriend girlfriend and the H only married her to get custody of his nephew. Both MC's are celibate during their short separation.

Well, after I have gulped the first book, where I was introduced to dangerous Russian with a criminal record, Adrian Volkov (even though, I m not so sure about this name being of Russian origin 😕 but whatever...) who cast his sight on an Italian mafia beauty Victoria (Scarlet's twin) and their strong INSTA lusty pull was very palpable...but the man has an mysterious dark aura and he has a HUGE secret...
well, the thing he tries to hide from Victoria, only makes things worse, cause when she finds out, it s a huge deal breaker for her...
but heart wants what heart wants and now all he has to do is to make her listen to him explaining the truth...
It's a forbidden love... It's a love against all odds...
Or so it seems...cause in fact, all this fucked up angsty shit and hurt came from fucking miscommunication or better yet, NO fucking communication...
If you d only deal with the shit as a man should...it would be so much easier for us all BUT it would also be less or NO angsty draw at all...lol and a story has to be told..aye
But still, I think it could have been dealt better...so, sue me and my awkward fucked up sense of reasoning...*shrugs*
2.5 Stars I read these out of order BUT had I read this second, I would’ve 2⭐’ed it for the same reason I’m rating the first book two stars… The majority of the plot is a repeat from a different POV. So FYI before you purchase it.
It’s an easy/uncomplicated read, but you’ll need to go with a lot that doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.
😖 These two take insta-love to new levels. It reads almost like a shifter meeting his mate. POOF BAM They are IN LOVE!!!
😖 The layout is a bit annoying. It starts within the timeline of the series (after the breakup-big secret reveal) then backtracks to repeat everything from the first book from Victoria and Adrian’s POV. It takes until 75% to get to the present and out of book one’s recap.
😖 The “conflict” AKA him having a wife and kid (already introduced in book 1) that was built up to be this HUGE problem was sort of dumb. Why did he marry her in the first place? We’re to believe she blackmailed the big bad mafia kingpin. Really??!! Why did he stay married if he hated her? What was the big deal when he just instantly divorced her anyway? Why would anyone think it’s a good idea to let the kid believe the H is his dad when they’re planning on telling him the truth when he gets older? Regardless, it fell flat because IMO, it wasn’t really thought out and was a flimsy conflict to build a book upon.
😖 The diabetes angle felt like she didn't research it at all. First, she put no real thought into managing her type 1 diabetes, just ate drank whatever and used insulin like a rescue inhaler. Also, I've seen many women with type 1 have successful pregnancies and although none were post kidney transplant, a quick google search says that's not a deal breaker either. Then it's just dropped and never spoken of again. Not to mention the twin who's popping kids left and right would also only have one kidney. And adoption wouldn't be their only option. It was just another flimsy attempt at conflict.
Bottom Line- Ok, not great. Insta-love ➡️ Flimsy conflict ➡️ no real groveling or making him stew. It does have a BESOTTED/very into the h hero, but I wanted more… especially from the wife, but there wasn’t really any OW drama. The h and OW barely interacted and it wasn’t catty or dramatic.
I loved it. Couldn't put it down. But WTH happened to Cristiano? Nothing like throwing a curve ball. That's just not fair Terri! Now I have to wait for the next one. Hopefully not too long.
This is the second book of the series. I was looking forward to seeing what was going on with these two based on the events from the first book. This time table overlaps book 1 and then moves forward.
I really enjoyed these two together. Victoria was much tougher than her family gives her credit for. And my heart just broke for Adrien. He clearly loves her so much. He was willing to risk everything for her. We learn a little more about the working of the Vitucci's and the Russian mob as well.
I wasn't convinced some of the choices made by Adrien and Victoria were logical or even realistic. Hiding her illness and Adrien's need to marry his brother's ex. Why not just claim the child as his and go from there? Regardless, it was very easy to feel the attraction between these two. After some bit of drama, they finally get their HEA.
So very much looking forward to big brother's book. He is going to be a tough nut to wrangle!
Sometimes Terri's books overlap too much in the time lines and it gets a little annoying. Couple that with me not like mafia books that much and I just wasn't that into this book. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed reading parts and getting more of the story and will read future books for this series, it just wasn't my favorite read from Terri.
If you love Terri's books and mafia ones I'd recommend otherwise I might pass this one up..
The first book was amazing, but this one wasn't on the same level. I'm not saying it was bad. It just wasn't something I loved. Adrians marriage. It didn't bothered me when I found out. I kinda loved that twist in the story. And I kept my final judgment for when I found out what's hides behind the marriage. But finding out the true, I wanted to smack Adrian. There is two things that I disliked. First, I can get he was scared to tell Victoria about it, but he let the fear to control him and act like a pussy. Yes, I called him that. Lol. Because I'm sure Victoria would have understood if he was clear with her and she wouldn't have been crushed after learning the way Victoria did. And I hate when H let's his woman to be blindsided, instead of preparing her for possible vipers strike. Second... What the heck is with these males keeping those kind of mothers, calling that thing a mother makes my stomach sick btw, around the kids. I know child needs a mother, but because the bitch pushed a baby out of her vagina, doesn't make her a mother. It takes much more. And for H keeping that poison around a child makes me mad. I could see a few ways Adrian could have handled it differently. But despite all that, I liked Adrian. I liked the man he was. I loved his possessiveness and wildness where his woman is concerned. Sadly I can't say the same about Victoria. No matter what I can't even found a way to like her. She irritated me most of the time. Okay, I understand love and all that. But the way she always was powerless around him... It didn't even helped that I knew he felt the same way about her. I think is more related to the fact, she thought he played her and she still gave into him all the time. And I could accept her moping a while after finding out, but she did that the whole book until Adrian explained. I wish I could seen her to be strong and dangerous as some people indicated she was, but all I could see was a pitiful creature in mope mode. And about her illness... She was really careless about it. And it may sound a bit harsh what I will say next, but she needed to think with her head and not with her vagina. Not to mention, in a way she did what Adrian did. Hold off to tell something important. I think she should have learned from his mistakes on that.
I love these families, I love these characters but the idiocy of Victoria & Adrian was off-the-charts ridiculous. Victoria is 21 years old, has had diabetes since she was three years old & STILL has multiple scenes in this series where she neglects checking her glucose levels/injects her insulin, putting her health at risk over & over.
"I knew I should have gotten up to check my blood sugar. At the very least, I needed a shot of insulin. But I couldn't bring myself to care." "F*ck, I knew I needed to check my blood sugar... I needed insulin and soon." "I was exhausted and needed to check my glucose levels, but I didn't want to do it in front of him." "I hadn't had the chance to check my to check my blood sugar in almost twenty-four hours. Hadn't eaten at all during that time." "I had never left it this long between doses of insulin. I had been reckless, I would gladly admit that much but I wasn't usually this stupid."
Really, Victoria? Because the proof is in the pudding above. I can't even... *smh*
And Adrian... I can't believe it took him that long to deal with the Klara & Theo situation. I just was so disappointed & baffled with why he didn't or couldn't think of another way to deal with things before meeting & falling in love with Victoria. He's a Bratva boss, he's got resources out the wazoo & the only way he could think of protecting Theo was by "involving" himself with Klara? He could've made her disappear with a snap of his fingers. Makes no sense at all to me. And the fact that he didn't wait till the paperwork was signed before they bumped uglies... I don't know why it bugged me so much but it did. *sigh*
That said, I couldn't put the book down. I love the way the words flow from this author's fingers, so I will most definitely continue on with this series. I just hope that the most memorable things about the next couple are not such negative ones. *fingers crossed*
Speaking of the next couple... not sure if he is next, but WTF is up with Cristiano in the epilogue of this book?! Talk about a cliffhanger where his storyline is concerned!
5 stars ( I must admit i was eagerly waiting for this book to came out, from the time i read Defying Her Mafioso, and i was more interested in Adrian and Victoria story and not in Scarlet and Ciro story. And his mafioso princess didn't disappoint, yes it's insta-love and insta-lust and yes i must admit i roll my eyes many times because they know each other two days and she is in love, but i was ok with that.I absolutely loved Adrian he is such perfect alpha hero and Victoria is perfect heroine for him.She needed a dominate alpha and he needed a strong woman who could handle his lifestyle. The writing is good, the story is fast-paced,i was just surprised that Victoria father is not didn't have much to say,i mean he is powerful mafia men and he his daughter to date Adrian even when in previous book he forbidden she to interact with Adrian.I needed the drama from her family.Overall great story with insta-lust and insta-love but no matter it have story and characters development.
Girl falls in love with guy after one night. Soulmates. Made for each other. Of course. Said Man is Married but she loves him so much she forgives him. Said Man has secret child, she’s ashamed. She’s hurt. She hurt the wife and son. But wait she simply cannot cannot cannot resist this man and continues messing around with him because she can’t help it.
Now. I know the reason he was married and had a kid. But she didn’t! So she kept ruining a family because she was selfish and spoiled. Not a fan.
I'm gonna start saying that Adrian is my favorite MMC of this series and it pains me to give this book only 3 stars.
But I can't overlook how much the Terri Anne failed at researching about diabetes.
This will be a long rant and probably no one is going to read it, but if just 1 person does and this helps them to overcome the huge amount of misconceptions and flat out mistakes that I found on this book, it'll be worth it.
The MFC, Victoria, is a type 1 diabetic since she was a little kid. From what I could muster, the author thinks diabetes = high sugar blood always and forever and that couldn't be futher from the truth.
Type 1 diabetes occurs when the pancreas produces none or very little insulin. Insulin is the hormone that allows sugar to leave the bloodstream and get inside the cells. High sugar levels in the blood can and will cause a myriad of problems, such as nerve damage, kidney failure, eye damage, ... So people affected by this cronical condition have to work hard to control their levels with insulin shots (in type 1, usually a few per day to mimic basal levels + shots after meals), exercise and appropriate diet.
My first problem with this book is how much Victoria drinks alcohol. Alcohol is really tricky for diabetic people, especially type 1, because it causes an hypoglycemic episode followed by an hyperglycemic one. That happens because, at first, the alcohol will inhibit the liver sugar production and then, after being metabolized, it will become mostly sugar. Still, there are several scenes of Victoria drinking away in clubs with no regard for her health.
Another huge problem is that she stops shooting insulin wherever she becomes distracted (seduced or depressed) by Adrian. Every few pages, I would start screaming KETOACIDOSIS in my mind. Diabetic ketoacidosis is a serious complication of diabetes, especially type 1. It happens at repeated/constant lack of insulin. Without the hormone, the body starts breaking fat to use as fuel (since the sugar is no getting inside the cells), and this process left unchecked will result in the buildup of acids in the blood. THIS LITERALLY CHANGES YOUR BLOOD pH. To the point you become really short breathed because your body will try to get ride of the acids by all means, including through your lungs. No to mention it makes the hyperglycemia more extreme with all the extra sugar produced that will still no get inside the cells. It can lead to coma and death.
Oh, and Victoria keeps saying her kidneys are already damaged, and guess what organs get really f*cked up by ketoacidosis?
And then the ~reveal~ scene. Just a quick recap: Adrian picked her up after she left his sister's club (she was hiccuping-drunk), took her home, talked, and had a bunch of amazing s*x. About 24hrs later (with no meals or insulin shots in this period because he doesn't know she is diabetic), he has to leave and Victoria has a moment to herself. Only she feels so bad she barely makes to the bathroom. There, without measuring her sugar levels (that could have been low given that she hasn't eat and was ~exercising~ a lot), she shoots up the max amount of fast insulin she can before passing out. When Adrian comes back and finds her, he says she barely has pulse. She starts waking up while he waits for an ambulance and tells him she's diabetic, insisting she doesn't need to go to the hospital (because she's so great at taking care of her own health, right?). The next scene makes it that it wasn't necessary and without any mentions of meals, insulin shots or sugar blood levels, they go straight back to bed. THE END. Final comment about this: at the long run, hyperglycemia is what will f*ck you up. Kidneys, eyes, nerves, skin, heart, feet,..., they will all get damaged by high blood sugar and low insulin levels. But in a really short spam, hypoglycemia is more dangerous. Just the other day, I was reading about a murder by insulin superdose. So, as you can imagine, the reveal scene just rubbed me off as all kinds of wrong.
Ok, after this gargantuan rant, I have to say that I really love Adrian and I like Victoria (diabetic problems aside) more than I expected. They are my favorite couples of this series (even though I love Anya, Cristiano was a HUGE disappointment, and Dante, who used to be my favorite till his book, let me down more than once). Adrian is simply the most devoted (to the point of borderline stalker) MMC and I love that Victoria isn't a doormat and actually have a dark and dangerous side.
Es hermosooo el libro. En verdad, no sabía que esperar por como una se entera de las cosas en el primer libro. Me encanta Tor como prota y quién se ha robado también el protagonismo es Anya, que fuerza como personaje secundario.
I have never reviewed a book before and I’ve read hundreds but this one…. It was almost painful to read.. first of all Diabetes type 1 does not work like that. I won’t get into that but it just ruined it for me.. second of all the book starts from “current time” and then goes back to previous things, which is ok, but it lasts almost all of the book until it gets back the current time. And that I could handle BUT we have already read most of it from the previous book.. also I find it weird that Victoria supposedly had super high (if not the highest in the world) IQ but for what, she didn’t come across as smart, but more as weak.. I just thought I’ll miss something vital for the next one if I don’t read this through. Anyways I’ve read most books/series from this author and liked them enough to want to read more but this was lacking a lot..

I think what let down this book was timelines. Because it overlaps and includes the previous books timeline and I hadn't read the previous book recently. So it feels a little disjointed, things are happening and not resolved in depth like the kidnapping of her twin sister.
Then right at the end of this book there is reference to her brother but I can't remember if it's in the first book, next book or his book which is the last. I'm more lineal with timelines and have a hard time keeping everything in order plotwise. 🙃
Why the f*** adrien said anything at all to Victoria in like 5/6chapters about his fake marriage ....I know that if that was the case this book lasted like 10 chapters and not 27...... and for the same reason I like it very much Love these two ! Every girl wants a little bit of “Volkov” in her life ^_^ lol

It took me longer to read this novel than I expected and just when I was thankful it's over, there comes a mysterious Cristiano themed ending that has me wondering where is the Vitucci heir in all this HEA? One thing this author has proved is that she knows how to drum up intrigue but the follow through leave much to be desired.
Adrian ... is this Russian btw? ... and Victoria were quite the background couple in Scarlett and Ciro's story so I didn't need to go back to all the previous Adrian sightings. A few of the main ones would suffice but we went as far back as the day she met him and though I absolutely hate insta-love stories, I was willing to give theirs a chance and though I am pleased that Santino Jr was not the villain of this novel, I still have to ask this question. "Where is the conflict?"
I am under the impression that it might be his martial status but we already knew that, no? It was what brought us here but so much time was spent reliving conversations we already were privy to, if just from Scarlett's POV, but not much time was spent to develop these characters pass what we already knew from book 1.
To make matters worse, Adrian's reason for marrying Klara is pretty much non-existent, which continues to ask the question, "Where is the conflict?"
I am starting to also realize another trend in Ms. Browning's writing style. She spends more time building us up for the characters in the next series that the current ones get neglected.
Told a thousand times in a thousand different ways, most readers aren't new to the inner workings of mafia or affair romances but this one just stated the obvious points and then portrayed a day to day that was more interesting when other people's drama and interest were being discussed.
They could work as a couple but I feel nothing because other than growls, death threats and declarations of love, I truly don't know what they see or like in each other and there was literally nothing that affected them both to at least push them together and make it believable.
No conflict. No character development. No spice. No interest. It all read like a big epilogue of book 1 with a few bonus scenes. Certainly not what I signed up for or maybe it's because I binge read the series, when it was really released at least a year and change apart?
Whatever the reason, there is no story here ... or not much of one any way.
THIS STORY WAS A PLAY BETWEEN THE PAST AND PRESENT. IT WAS THRILLING IN THE SENSE THAT IT CONTAINED SOME TABOO ELEMENTS OF A MARRIED MAN....
OUR HERO is a Pakhan in his own right, a Russian wolf who is quite honorable despite his occupation and he's also the kind of man whereby he always gets what he wants. He married his dead brother's woman even though he loathes the bitch, just to keep his nephew, wanting Taras to live through his son. What boggled me is why he had to offer his name in the first place when he could have given the woman some sort of settlement...I mean, don't they always do that in these kind of stories? Well anyway, being a smart-ass that he is to marry this woman, he is now unavailable to give our heroine his name and it causes his own emotional heart grief when she spurns him, believing he was a married man. Oh, the angst of that was delicious...until we learnt the truth of his actions. Adrian is quite like a cardboard cut-out of typical bratva heroes, possessing the same traits - powerful, sexy and possessive like hell.
OUR HEROINE is a beautiful redhead, with a fiery temperament to match and she's quite naive about love, because she just dives right into the uncertain relationship with Adrian, not that I'm blaming her....their chemistry was just so right, it was like a black hole pulling you in kind of feeling. But, she was too guileless. I like an innocent heroine. She's the kind who loves with all her heart, is feisty and muy sexy. Of course, some may find it annoying that she didn't give him a chance to explain....but put yourself in her shoes, and ask yourself what would you have done? It's always easier to think from the outside point of view...but if bombarded with the sense of pain and betrayal, it's not easy to just shut down and act calm.
OVERALL this was an enjoyable story, whereby you shouldn't analyse it too much in your logical mind. Just let the feelings of passion, romance and angst embrace you, even if some parts may seem stupid or illogical, DON'T FUCKING CARE about that.
I really enjoyed this book. I was pulled into the story of this book right from the get go and that is where I stayed until I had read every single last word that was written, all the while I had a little mini movie playing in my head. There are twists, turns and surprises all the way through this book, some of the surprises are large some are small, some you may see coming and others you won't, they all aide in making the book the awesome read that it is. The emotions that each and every character go through, can be felt, some of them actually jump off the page and hit you hard, I laughed, I got annoyed, I got frustrated and yer I cried a time or two. It doesn't matter how many times I will read this book, I know I will go through all the emotions again and at the same places, that is the way I am. This is not a genre I usually read, but I am so pleased that I took a chance as Terri Anne Browning has written an awesome book and I really enjoyed the ones that I have read to date.
I was not expecting the growth and connection between these two. And even though there was insta connection, it was done well and the steam built through the story. It also touched on some series health issues that affect many ppl in North America. Those issues mean this is not a breeding story, which was fine with me. I also want to read the other stories in this series and I don't always want to put the effort into the connecting characters. As some have said, of course the drama wouldn't have happened as much if there had been a few conversations but it wasn't so ridiculous as some. Love the other characters/siblings and want to know what happened to Cristiano. As for the cheating aspect, I don't really consider it cheating as that would have required a relationship between the MMC and the OW at some point.
The second book in the series is Victoria and Adrian, I knew this would be emotional and it was.
Victoria is treated like a delicate flower but what must of her family don’t see is a woman with a steely backbone. I enjoyed reading about her as we only got glimpses in the previous book, she was everything I was expecting and more.
Adrian a man blackmailed by duty but it only made me love him more. He’s a man who’s not afraid of his feelings for Victoria in fact we see the opposite a man willing to put it all on the line for her.
Another fab story in a series that is quickly becoming one of my favourites as it’s so much more than just a Mafia book .
I don’t know who’s up next but I hope I don’t have to wait long.
This second book in the series will hold you hostage from start to finish. Victoria is a mafia princess that at times may appear to be weak, especially when it comes to her heart, but don’t underestimate this young woman. Adrian is a Russian criminal who has fallen for Victoria, the one person who is off limits. As these two find themselves drawn and consumed by each other life is about to get so complicated. As secrets are revealed and hearts are shattered it might just be their all consuming love that conquers all. A love story full of action, mayhem, angst and enough heat to start a fire. However be prepared because this book will leave you with more questions and have you needing more from this series.
I freaking love this story, OH MY GOD, WHAT WAS THAT I JUST READ NOW? GOD, it was just so freaking good, no scratch that, BEST EVER PASSIONATE LOVE STORY I HAVE READ TILL THIS few months, seriously, Victoria, a kind, passionate yet silent bad-ass girl, and ADRIAN? IT'S FINAL, HE IS MY BOOK-HUSBAND, who the hell need anyone else if you have someone as Adrian?
definitely enjoyed it better than the first book of this series, not that that was not good, it was also freaking 5 stars book for me yet, FOR THIS BOOK? I JUST COULDN'T GET MY FUCKING MIND AROUND ABOUT THE WHOLE ADRIAN-ALPHA-MALE. I REALLY LIKE HIM. GOD, AND AUTHOR? BLESS HER SOUL, SUCH A BEST AUTHOR , SHE WRITE THE STORY IN A SUCH A PERFECT WAY, I WAS LEFT WITH AWE.
The story seemed rushed. At one point Victoria's name is mistakenly used instead of Scarlett"s so i question how carefully the book was edited. Also displayed a complete lack of knowledge of Type 1 dianetes IMHO. Type 1 diabetics do not drink alcoholic beverages, not take their readings or eat consistently unless they want to die. In addition she would have been taking long term insulin such as Lantus or Toujeo with the Novolog. And since when is having diabetes such a weakness? I guess it is if you act like an idiot desdpite having had it for 18 years.
This was my first read of 2018 and I was happy to dig into a story by one of my favorite authors. I anxiously awaited the second part of the Vitucci Mafiosos series. Victoria and Adrian’s story is full of drama and angst secrets and lies. A love as strong as theirs can never be broken. I really enjoyed this story and I was eager to find out how it all ended up Terri did not disappoint. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
I liked this book better than book 1 - after a reread of book 1. I found the romance and the chase great. Adrian was a good hero. Victoria suited Adrian well.
What annoyed me about this book is that we are constantly told about Victoria's diabetes. For someone who has this disease since she was 3 years old, she was rather careless at times.
I liked the Adrian's marriage twist in the story, I personally would have liked to see more drama there!
I just did not like the stupid secrets they kept from each other. It was not a big deal and that is what annoyed me about this book.
It feels like forever since I read Scarlet and Ciro's story and now almost a year later we have her twin Victoria and her Russian Wolf, Adrian. I enjoyed this book as it was finally giving me the background I wanted on the relationship between these star crossed lovers, but also a few secrets that came to the forefront. I have to admit the epilogue definitely intrigued me when Cristiano was mentioned but nothing more, so hoping we find out more about him and Adrian's sister!
this was essentially a recap of the 1st book but from Victoria's perspective, so there wasn't much excitement or interest from the plot. I also couldn't but into the Insta love. They were sharing I love you after 3 days. I also couldn't get behind the fact that this big terrifying Packhan was so open about his love and weakness for a woman in front of everyone. This felt like the mafia side of the story was just placed over characters that could be typical civilians.
